Opinion (Philip Stephens, an associate editor of the Financial Times): “Globalisation has tightened the ties of economic interdependence. Threats to nations are recognisably international in character – from climate change to pandemics, from terrorism and the proliferation of unconventional weapons to mass migration. Mobile capital, cross-border supply chains and the connections of the digital age leach power from individual states. The way to recapture lost authority is to act in concert.

“The mood has changed. As the rising have become risen powers they are reluctant to embrace a rules-based system – the more so since the rules were largely written by the established powers. For its part, the US is stepping back from the role of global policeman. Even postmodern Europe, where rescuing the euro demands another leap towards integration, is wrestling with tensions between the national and supranational.

“But a US challenged by a rising China and obstructed by a morose Russia has tired of internationalism.

“The unipolar moment has made way for the age of the self-sufficient superpower. More than anyone else, the US has the geography, natural resources and economy to stand back. It now prefers coalitions of the willing to grand multilateral designs.

“In Europe, things are more complex. The 17 nations of the eurozone are committed to the pooling of more sovereignty, yet the euro crisis has awoken nationalist ghosts.

“This interdependence is an inescapable reality for large as well as small states. National moods may have changed but the facts of globalisation have not. If anything, the diffusion of state power to non-state actors has accelerated.

“As an ageing continent with a fast-declining share of global output, Europe has to act as one to uphold its values and interests.

“The paradox we are left with is a world in which state sovereignty is at once greatly prized and, when properly defined as the ability to act, increasingly ineffective. States share an unavoidable interest in replacing the old order with new arrangements to recognise mutual as well as national goals.”

My Comment: Only by correcting human nature and relationships can we combine all the requirements of modern society and Nature. These opposites can be connected only by rising above our nature, no matter how unfeasible it seems, but for the first time humanity is in conscious transition from the Animate (natural, egoistic) degree of existence to the Human degree— conscious altruistic behavior.

My Comment: “Leaders” still consider themselves competent to speak about the future, although they cannot do anything and do not understand the present! Everything will be much worse, and it will be impossible to correct anything; an unemployed person should not be considered “disabled,” but someone who needs to learn about a new world.

Unwillingness to recognize that it is necessary to change the human being by means of integral education will lead the world to explosion! The trends of the “Arab Spring” are already visible in many countries of the world. The confrontation with states and nations will lead to global explosion.

Question: In a peaceful society, a government of sages, great teachers, and saints is appreciated more. But in times of trouble, the first line goes to the revolutionaries and rebels who gradually become dictators. We are facing mass unemployment. Today it is already clear that revolutionary leaders are beginning to seize power easily. How will the new era that we will enter in the future replace these leaders, or will rebels and revolutionaries have to become educators?

Answer: Societies in which revolutionaries are prominent are the least stable societies that have no clear direction. They exploit every idea that at the moment seems necessary for attaining power.

As a rule, they combine this with religion and do so in most fanatic and cruel form. That’s because this is the most basic and prominent form that can be explained simply, adapted to certain needs, and presented to everyone. It doesn’t require any knowledge, quests, or inner freedoms, but on the contrary, only personal fanaticism and a range of vision contracted to a minimum: Who is with you and who is your enemy, and that’s all.

The problem is that the two weak civilizations clash. Western civilization has weakened itself in that it has completely neglected its cultural heritage. In the 19th century it was totally different. Its main value was the development of science and culture. Now everything has deteriorated.

Now neither science nor culture is valued, except perhaps only in a form that interests the leaders according to their personal, mercantile considerations that help to strengthen their regime. In our day only money and power have value, and they have transformed into identical concepts. Wealth, once despised even by great scientists and people of culture, has become above all. Today all scientists and people of culture can be “bought.”

This characterizes today’s Western “decadence.” We clearly see that the bestial state of a person in this society is what is most important and comes closest to the Roman barbarism: “bread and circuses.”

The absolute lack of education of the masses is what has led to this state. Instead of attracting the masses to culture, to the scientific elite, which were valued in the 19th century, absolute degradation has taken place. What is amazing is that all this began with Germany, which in the past was the cultural and scientific center of Europe. It was precisely there that this transformation took place.

And now Western civilization is encountering and intermixing with the Eastern civilization that expands not thanks to science, art, and technology, but through the power of the masses, meaning multiplication and fanaticism, that is, pressure.

Thus we see that this is what is taking place in Europe and now in America as well. In the end, it will come to the point when the Asiatic-Arabic culture may “swallow” the world.

“The World Bank has recently set a goal to reduce extreme poverty around the world to under 3 percent by 2030. It is unlikely that this goal can be achieved by stronger than expected growth across the developing world, or greater income equality within each developing country, alone. Both factors are needed simultaneously.”

My Comment: A trend should be completely different—not to increase production in struggling regions as there is already too much production in the world, but to evenly distribute the products necessary for rational existence.

Question: Today, we see the trend in industry where the large enterprises become increasingly larger and the small businesses are almost disappearing.

Answer: Small businesses gradually will disappear altogether as will medium-sized businesses. In their place will appear immense world factories that will be occupied with the manufacture and distribution of all that humanity requires, and humans will not require much. We know that 90% of the products are created only to create monetary accumulation in some particular bank accounts and not for anything else.

Therefore, humanity, according to an evolutionary order even without understanding how it is taking place, will reach this very quickly. A few tens or hundreds of very large corporations essentially will create all that is required for humanity and they will distribute the merchandise among them all. If, in the past, individual kiosks and small stores flourished, so, today, they all are included within large chains. Two or three large chains are swallowing all the rest.

However, in the meantime, this is happening to accumulate capital and conquer the world, whereas in the future, the goal will change.

They prefer to plunge potential macro-regions into chaos, rather than allow them to hive off from global markets that are controlled by the global monopolies.

“The fundamental problem of development today, however, is not the egoism of the United States, not the lack of liquidity, and not the debt crisis, but the lack of a source of economic growth in the United States, and along with it, in the entire world economy.

“One manifestation of the exhaustion of the liberal paradigm is the elimination of the middle class.

“After all, democracy exists on behalf of and in the name of the middle class. After its downfall, democracy will degenerate into a new dictatorship, based on the reshaping of minds. This will complete the process of dehumanization and the repudiation of civilization. My Comment: What is written above reflects the view of many researchers. No one offers a solution that comes anywhere close to Integral Education because due to an absence of the method of correction of man, no one believes in changing a human being, and thus in the emergence of a more developed society that is, most importantly, more similar to Nature (the Creator).
