When Events Are Overwhelming

947Question: How can we act correctly when events in the outside world overwhelm a friend and alienate him from the group or from the spiritual path in general?

Answer: We have to wait. Events pass, and a person begins to think more independently, and frees themselves from the power of the media. Gradually a person will become convinced that all this must be balanced and not perceived as before.

I encounter this very often. During the war and during the many demonstrations and rallies people are under the control of their feelings, and they do not understand and cannot figure out what is really happening. Therefore, we need to cool it all down.

Question: If a situation arises where there is a surge of emotions about events in one country, then people begin to relate to the troubles in another country with some coolness. It turns out that even in our community “one’s shirt is closer to one’s body.” But this is wrong, isn’t it?

Answer: Right or wrong, we cannot judge. We must weigh everything regarding good connections between people because in the end, only this will help us understand the states we are passing through and come to the right agreement.

The Mechanism of Mutual Guarantee

530Question: Is one person capable of launching the mechanism of mutual guarantee in the ten with his internal efforts, his pressure?

Answer: Never. Mutual guarantee is when each friend makes sure that there is always a connection system (Arvut) in the group. That is why there is a ten. It is so that we help each other, as it is said: “They helped every one his friend.”

It is the general pressure that can cause the overall strength of the mutual guarantee.

Question: When we start working in mutual guarantee, one friend looks at the others and it seems to him that he is ready while others are not. Is it possible at this moment to make a more active ascent so that everyone enters it? Is there any intermediate stage before mutual guarantee?

Answer: No. It is only necessary to strive for mutual help, for inner connection, and then the Creator will create these conditions and the final state for us.

Questions about Spiritual Work—24

962.2Question: Is it possible to imagine that my egoism is a Creator, but it is a bad Creator?

Answer: This is not the Creator. It is a quality specially created by the Creator to help us focus on the Creator who is good and radiates goodness.

Question: What actions should we take to feel the depth of unity in the ten?

Answer: Actions for connection. They also lead us to a sense of unity, its size, depth, etc. We do not need anything else except connection between us.

Question: When we reveal the lack of similarity of qualities within reason, the methodology recommends that we go by faith above reason. How does faith compensate for the lack of equivalence of form?

Answer: Faith does not compensate for the lack of equivalence of form; it helps us get closer to the Creator, although there is still a difference in qualities between Him and a person. Then the qualities are aligned to some extent, and a person begins to feel the Creator more, so it goes from step to step.

Question: In the book Shamati, it is written that a person while even in the worst possible state should not leave the governance of the Creator. How is this possible?

Answer: If one feels oneself under the governance of the Creator, then he or she must continue to make efforts not to get out of this governance.

The Bestowal Game

938.05Question: Do we all have only the nature of receiving for ourselves or do we have sprouts of bestowal after all?

Answer: In each of us there is a rudimentary desire to bestow.

Question: Why does bestowal taste bitter?

Answer: Because it is against our natural desire to receive and enjoy.

Question: How can one be worthy to feel the taste of bitterness in order to prevent actions of reception for oneself?

Answer: This can be felt best among friends. By the way you treat them, you can immediately determine whether you are in reception or in bestowal.

Question: Is it possible to attract the light of the Creator by playing bestowal and subsequently become a giver?

Answer: Of course, that is how it works.

Everything Is Learned in Practice

934Question: If the intention is important and the action is not so important, if I feel that my heart is directed to unite with the ten toward the Creator, then is everything I do correct?

Answer: Yes. The only question is whether you read your heart correctly and whether your heart advises you correctly.

Question: How can I check my heart?

Answer: It is a matter of practice. You need to continue discovering your differences with the others in the ten, and gradually you will understand what they are right about and what you are right about.

Cultivate Rapprochement

022Question: Now it has become noticeable that someone is already more ready for internal relationships in the ten, while someone else is on the way to it. Do these friends have to somehow manifest themselves in relation to others, or should it be only their internal attitude?

Answer: In the ten, it is necessary to constantly cultivate rapprochement between friends and not hide it.

There are friends who do not understand at all why getting closer to each other is necessary. By the way, those who have great egoism will go further and higher, as it is said: “Everyone who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater.”

He will need a lot of time and effort to correct himself, but he will rise above the rest. Therefore we cannot calculate who is better or who is worse, but only in comparison with what is at the moment. Inside the ten, everyone has to take care of everyone.

The Role of Intention in the Work for the Creator

528.04At every step of the spiritual path, the main role is played by the intention to achieve the desire of the Creator.

It is possible to build the right intention through the fact that we connect with our friends, slowly begin to think about others, and thus come to a state where our thoughts and actions are focused on taking care of them. We ask the Creator to help us in this, and we thus achieve the quality of bestowal.

Question: If we are in the ten together scrutinizing the intention, should we not come to some kind of scrutiny of who has the right intention and who does not?

Answer: No, everyone scrutinizes their own intention.

“If the Creator Does Not Build a House…”

507.04Question: I can demand mutual guarantee from myself, but how can I bring all my friends to it?

Answer: By being an example.

Question: If I honestly conduct an internal analysis, I find within myself the area of distancing from some people in the ten. Outwardly, this is not manifested in any way, but do I need to work and dig inside myself in order to reveal this?

Answer: It is said about this: “if the Creator does not build a house,” that is, a Kli, none of our attempts will help. Ask the Creator. Only this will help.

Who Solves Our Problems?

942Question: We are all different in the ten. Some demand to be pressured since they realize this is the way for them to advance. Others, on the contrary, say there is no coercion in spirituality. How can we properly apply this pressure in the ten? What is the correct formula?

Answer: Do not be afraid of pressure; you just need to behave correctly in the ten, as clearly as possible,  and then all problems will be solved by the Creator Himself and not by us. We only need to properly relate to the states we are in.

After all, everything that happens is done by the Creator, and we must ask Him to correct the imbalance between us, which determines all the negative events in our lives.

A War against What Opposes the Creator

530 Question: What does opposing a good inclination against an evil inclination mean?

Answer: Opposing a good inclination against an evil inclination means that a person disagrees with the emergence of some good or, conversely, evil inclination in him. Therefore, he wants to juxtapose one to the other. To practically do this while working in a ten, imagine that you are in an egoistic state, slightly rising above it, and want to be in a better, altruistic state. Identify what resistance or opposition you encounter in this process. This is the work that we must do. This state is referred to as a war.

Question: So, are we at war with what opposes us?

Answer: We are at war with what opposes the Creator. If a person strives to get closer to his friends and, together with them, closer to the Creator, in this way, they can start to subdue all their negative qualities and transform them into good, positive ones. The Creator will give you strength, and from your negative qualities, you will begin to acquire corrected, good ones. Who else will do this if not the Creator?
