I Want Truth, Not Games

laitman_241.01Question from Facebook: You always talk about playing a game. I hate this word. I want truth in a relationship, not games. What should I do?

Answer: Fate plays with a person. We should understand that we must play in order to draw the upper force that will change and correct us.

The game is not just playing, but checking one’s present state and orienting toward the future at every moment. Since the future is unknown and the present, in general, is not particularly evident, we are always in a fog, in a confused state: How should we proceed?

The correct behavior of a person in relation to the future is called “play” because we ourselves do not determine our future, just our attitude toward it.

Setting ourselves up for the correct attitude toward a good future will bring us good in the present. This is how we will advance.

It is very serious work, but since our next state is unclear to us, our movement toward each other, our attitude to the world, to life, even to the Creator, is like acting on a stage, when we are acting out our best future state, imagining what it can be. When we aspire to it, then accordingly, we receive it from above.

In principle, it is based only on the fact that the future is unknown, and I can determine it and its relationship to me, my inclusion in it, with the help of actions called “playing.”

Question: Is depression also a game?

Answer: Depression is also a game because we build a picture of the future as completely dark, foggy, unknown, and frightening in front of us.

In principle, Kabbalah discusses only about how we can achieve a real, true, and correct future. We need to create it. When I create this future, I build it from blocks. This is the game.

I am playing all the time, building it. If we correctly understand how to play and create our future from the blocks, it should be to connect these building blocks, what we should imagine. What’s most important is the relationship between us in a world that we can make beautiful. We cannot create it. So, we must learn to play.

Everyone Has Their Own Reality

Laitman_043Question: Is there any upper reality that exists regardless of our sensation?

Answer: There is an upper reality. If someone comprehends it, then it exists relative to him. If one doesn’t comprehend it, then it doesn’t exist for him.

Now we all feel the earthly reality in the same way because we are on the same egoistic level.

Question: On an altruistic level, will we also feel one reality or each will feel his own?

Answer: Together we will feel each other and one reality. Moreover, everyone will have their own reality, but they will all be similar.

Everything Is Relative To The Observer

laitman_276.02Question: What does it mean to rise to the level of the governance of our world? Does Kabbalah rule our world? What is it about?

Answer: Kabbalah does not rule our world.

The fact is that everything we perceive is what we call our world. This is my world. I do not know what the world really is and what it consists of. I only know what I feel and perceive. This is a very important point with which we have to start talking about a person and about where he is.

We have to understand that our world is one that we build within. Therefore, this concept cannot be objective. Everything is relative to the observer. For example, today one might comprehend some things a certain way, and tomorrow interpret them differently. There are, of course, general laws, rules, and methods, but in the end, we are only speaking of a person’s individual comprehension.

Which World Is Real?

laitman_423.02Question: Is it possible that the spiritual world exists only in Kabbalists’ imagination? What is the guarantee that it is real?

Answer: Nobody can promise you and give guarantees that the spiritual world exists more realistically than our world.

However, the fact that our world is not real has already been revealed by Kabbalists. They feel this by being above our illusory world, and they understand that this world is created in such a way on purpose, so that we would push ourselves away from it and exit into the real world.

The upper spiritual world is real because we attain the Creator in it, the only driving force, “There is none else besides Him.” By revealing in the spiritual world the force that governs everything, we determine that it really exists.

Revealing The Unknown

laitman_253Question: Scientists of our world are constantly in dispute and disagree with each other. Everyone promotes their own theory. How does it work among the Kabbalist scientists?

Answer: If a Kabbalist scientist clearly knows where he exists and speaks only from the level of his attainments without crossing into something he has not revealed, then he is a real scientist and his conclusions can be trusted.

If a Kabbalist is unable to clearly define where he exists and he can slightly “overstep” his boundary, then his attainments in that area are not really true. Then he has all sorts of guesses, theories, assumptions, and sometimes mistakes. Kabbalists themselves write about this.

In particular, Baal HaSulam wrote a book about a great Kabbalist of the 17th century who incorrectly described an entire phase of attainment of the upper nature. In Kabbalah, just as in any other science, this has a place.

Kabbalists, just as other scientists, can have various disputes and criticize one another. It can be expressed through their knowledge, assumptions, drawings, or many other things.

In other words, Kabbalah is like ordinary science where a person faces the fact of revealing something unknown.

We Are Eternal Beings

laitman_537Remark: To know yourself means to feel and understand that the inanimate, vegetative, animate, and eight billion people, are all me. This is how the Creator paints my subjective depiction of the world. In reality, there is nothing, including me—there is only the upper Light. This is terrifying.

My Comment: Not at all! I exist in eternity, in perfection, in the Creator, together with Him, and in similarity with Him. I only need to define myself, to find myself. Me and you, we are all included in this system.

However, to say that none of it exists, including myself, is incorrect. We are eternal beings, we just have to discover that state. That is the purpose of us living in the lowest of the worlds.

Gravitational Force And Speed In Spirituality

232.09Question: Are there any concepts of gravitational force and speed in the spiritual worlds?

Answer: Any egoistic desire attracts everything positive and rejects everything negative. Therefore, gravitational force is a force of attraction to what seems attractive to me.

Speed in the spiritual world is the rate at which a desire changes in a person. If the desire does not change, the speed is zero and time stops.

Is Dialogue With The Upper Worlds Possible?

laitman_551Question: You say that there is nothing other than the person. Reality is in the person and everything happens within him. He does not see anything in this world except for himself. Everything that happens around me is me, pictures inside of me.

In what form does the dialogue exist between the external worlds, including the upper worlds, and humanity?

Answer: Humanity is an egoistic mass that desires at each moment of time to receive selfish fulfillment.

Through the method of two opposing influences, give and take, the upper Light gradually develops humanity in different sensations and directions in order to give it the greatest possibility of perceiving the Creator. For now, humanity is in such overturns.

Question: Is this called a dialogue with the Creator?

Answer: There is no question of any dialogue here. When you work on a desire, you automatically know its result.

The higher force has no secrets. It is known in advance: If I act this way, I will get this as a result; if I act in another way, I will get a different result. Thus, humanity had to be carried through millions of years of development so that it finally realized: “Why are we being stimulated?”—In order to lead to a certain reaction.

Question: To what extent does a person’s and humanity’s past affect the dialogue between us and the upper worlds?

Answer: It all overlaps. Therefore, we do not need to know the past: not paleontology, nor history, etc. We need to know at each moment of time how we can define the Creator through the group.

A Kabbalist’s Perception

Laitman_113Question: Do all Kabbalists have this dual perception of me and my egoism?

Answer: That depends on what the individual associates himself with: the point in the heart or his egoism. If with one and the other, then he really feels himself in a dual state, divided into two parts.

Question: Is this a good state?

Answer: It’s very good! At any point in life, in any state, you hold onto the thought that you consist of two parts: one is the desire of your egoism and the other is your desire as a human being.

At the very least, it is best to separate yourself from your egoism, to look as if from a distance, and convince yourself as to what egoists we all are. Juxtaposed with the good, realize what we can all be. However, egoism will not disappear, and we are not suffering from it in the least. We treat it completely objectively. This is a great, natural quality that helps you to rise higher.

To Feel The World Outside of Yourself

Laitman_931.02Question: On one hand, there is the principle “The judge has only what his eyes see.” On the other hand, it is said that there is nothing around us except the white Light that fills everything. How can we reconcile these two principles?

Answer: If you want to understand this, stick to a very simple principle: using the methodology of Kabbalah, unite in groups and try to feel the others. You will begin to feel the spiritual world in them.

Suppose I feel only myself now. If I exit from my own feelings and begin to sense my friends from within, if I perform a restriction (Tzimtzum Aleph) on the desires “for self alone” and enter the quality of bestowal, then I will feel each friend as a spiritual being, a Sefira. All of them together will feel like a Partzuf that is filled with Light, called the Creator.

Together, the Light, the Creator, and the totality of the Sefirot—everything except my animal “I”—will be called a soul. It turns out that together with my friends, I create my soul and each of them does so in relation to the others.

Question: What will I see in a state of “outside myself”?

Answer: You will see the forces that govern the entire universe acting through a multitude of higher laws—their beginning, process, effect, and conclusion. This understanding permeates your desire, fulfilling it. You perceive this fulfillment as the most enormous, highest pleasure of your eternal existence.
