Everything Depends On The General Correction

746.02Question: Will we still feel time when we evidently attain and reveal the Creator?

Answer: It depends on whether our correction is general or individual.

But when we reach the general correction, we will cease to feel our universe, our world. This world, as Baal HaSulam writes, will rise to the level of the upper world.

Why Should I Forgive?

546.03Question: Lyudmila writes to us: “I don’t know how to forgive. I also believe that any action should be punishable. But if I could forgive, I think it would be much easier emotionally. Can we learn to forgive?”

Answer: We can learn to forgive only if we understand the evilness of our nature.

Once I realize what I am: an egoist, forgetting about others, never paying back with kindness, and so on and so forth, then I come to a state where I cause all the negative effects upon myself. Thus, I have no one to forgive. I just need to have good thoughts about others.

Comment: What you just said: “I cause negative effects upon myself.” It sounds a little scary.

My Response: Of course, I cause it. How else? With my egoistic nature, I turn the whole of nature against myself. Therefore, it follows that I need to change myself, to at least want to change myself even if it is not possible to accomplish anything. And then everything will change. The world is actually all about the relations between us.

Question: So I am beginning to understand that criminals are all inside me?

Answer: Of course.

Comment: As soon as I change that, everything will change around me?

Answer: It all depends on me.

Question: Will this formula work if I truly understand that I need to change and then everything around me will change?

Answer: It does not change instantly, at will. But it does change.

Question: Given that there is such a process, will humanity have no choice but to follow it?

Answer: Humanity must be convinced first of all that there is no other way. Only then will it follow this process exclusively.

Expand The Scope Of Sensations

537Question: Today, physicists say that all reality is not matter, but information. We live in some kind of world and everything that exists brings us certain information. It is dressed in various garments, that is, in what we see around us. Why did the Creator create everything like this? Is it possible to see any information directly?

Answer: We see in our world that that is impossible. If we want to feel something, then any of our sensations consists of two opposite properties: sensing and what is felt. Therefore, the Creator created us as the opposite of Himself, so that we could feel Him, comprehend, and understand.

Question: The laws of nature do not depend on the observer; they are, as it were, unchangeable. And yet, if we change our internal properties, do we feel the laws of nature differently? Then even they change?

Answer: Of course, they change. What we feel, we feel in ourselves. If we change internally, then we feel that everything around us changes.

Question: The laws do not change regarding my natural egoism, but by changing my work with egoism, can I feel the laws of nature in a different way?

Answer: Absolutely. I kind of go beyond these laws. There is a realization of the true theory of relativity: everything is relative to a person.

Question: Do you mean about the egoist who perceives the world with five senses?

Answer: And above that. Five senses are not enough for us. In them, we feel only our world, and these are animal sensations. But rising above this, we begin to feel the above-egoism properties of bestowal. In them we feel the changing higher state of the world. This is perceived above our animal senses.

Paint An Unearthly Picture Of The World

276.02Question: It is said in The Book of Zohar: “All the friends who do not love each other cause themselves to stray from the right path.” Moreover, they put a blemish in the Torah, since there is love, brotherhood, and truth in the Torah.” What does “blemish” mean? Why do we cause blemishes?

Answer: Because we enter into an egoistic relationship with each other, and this is called that we reveal blemishes. This is as it should be because blemishes show where we still need to correct ourselves. And we again need the upper light, the Torah, and so on.

All this is not so difficult. You just need to try to objectively understand it. The most unpleasant thing is that a person perceives everything very subjectively: is it better or worse for me, good or bad.

It is necessary to absolutely detach from oneself and draw the whole picture of the world without including myself or our world, nothing, as if I moved to some other galaxy and they tell me about their conditions of existence there completely independent of me and my earthly conditions.

If I begin to relate to the statements of Kabbalists in this way—and they are not even coming from another galaxy but really from another world—then I will be able to more or less plausibly paint this picture for myself.

And then if I clearly perceive it, I will be able to approach it and perhaps begin to interact with it in such a way that I will enter it relatively easily. The main thing is not to inscribe your interests, your egoism, there, as if only my spirit has moved there and now we are engaged in adaptating to a completely different system.

Everything Is Subjective

278.02The Book of Zohar, Ki Tissa, Item 54: All those friends who do not love each other depart the world before their time. All the friends in Rashbi’s time had love of soul and love of spirit among them. This is why in his generation, the secrets of Torah were revealed. Rabbi Shimon would say, “All the friends who do not love each other cause themselves to stray from the right path.” Moreover, they put a blemish in the Torah, since there is love, brotherhood, and truth in the Torah.

Question: Is the Torah an objective reality, a perfect object?

Answer: There is nothing objective. Even the Creator is not objective. Everything manifests itself relative to us.

If I perceive the entire universe from my senses, from my mind and heart, what can be objective here? If I change, it means that everything will change relative to me because the whole picture is subjective in me. The Creator is also in me. The Torah is also in me. Everything is in me. Is there something outside of me? I feel, I perceive, I evaluate.

Look at how people, by changing, change their opinion about the Creator and the Torah, about themselves and the world, about everything.

And what does “permanent world” mean—the one that is outside of us? We do not know it, we do not feel it, and so there is nothing to talk about here. We need to clearly agree that everything is only relative to the observer. Just like in quantum physics, according to Einstein’s theory. So, there is nothing absolute.

The Torah is a method of correction. To the extent that I understand how to correct myself, I have my own Torah.

The Torah consists of four parts—PaRDeS. In accordance with the egoism that I am now correcting, I realize and implement one of its parts.

The Creator has degrees. It is the property of bestowal, the property of connection of the entire universe into one global system to the extent that I perceive it.

Does It Make Sense To Live Only In The Present?

766.1Question: Is it wise to live only in the moment and not think about the future?

Answer: Yes. The wisest thing one can do is not think about the future because the future actually does not exist.

The present is renewed every moment. The present that is renewed every moment is the future and what I want is to actually live in this state.

The illusion of the past, present, and future should not lead me to unrealistic areas. I only know what I feel now and in the next moment I build my own feelings by myself. This is the creation of the future world.

Nature Is One

709Question: Any system known to us goes through four phases of development: birth, flourishing, withering, and death. Now we are at the beginning of the creation of the spiritual foundations of management based on the principles of Kabbalah. Is it possible to create some prerequisites or foundations for another system of development? Or is it a law of nature that we cannot escape?

Answer: The fact is that an integral system of complete interconnection, including people, mind, feelings, absolutely everything, exists in nature at the inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human degrees.

However, in relation to humans, we do not perceive nature as integral, eternal, infinite, and perfect because we perceive it in our egoistic sensory organs. Therefore, we see our world as disconnected and distant, and we judge everything that happens through our egoistic qualities.

As soon as we begin to connect, we will reveal nature in its true integral form, and it will appear to us in a completely different way. To the extent that we correct ourselves, we will also see nature corrected. But we do not need to correct it, we will simply discover it for ourselves corrected in our senses. After all, our states are absolutely subjective.

The only thing we need to change is the perception of reality, the perception of a person, and then we will see that outside of us nature is absolutely integral.

In fact, it is one! There is no need to divide it into different sciences and different approaches. We distinguish stages and formations in it only relatively to our limited understanding.

The Law Of The Universe

712.03Question: According to Kabbalah, the universe is governed by the law Kabbalists define as “The Good Who does Good.” This is somewhat strange to hear in the realm of our modern life. It begs the question: Where is this good?

Answer: The good is not in us at all, we are the opposite of good.

Kabbalah says that the world around us is a huge universe that we do not even feel. It is something voluminous, almost infinite. This is not even our universe, but a much deeper, constituent volume, overflowing with all kinds of connections and forces, in which we exist.

From this volume, we detect only what we call our world, our universe, our Earth, our life, down to ourselves, so tiny. The system of forces, connections, management, and qualities, which are built on absolute bestowal, absolute love, and on the absolute interaction of all parts with each other is hidden from us.

This system functions the same way as our body, which is built on the integral participation of all its parts in the overall life of the organism, and therefore each particle gives everything for its vital functioning. Thanks to this, the body and any organ in it exist.

Without this integral positive dependence of all the parts affecting each other and supporting the overall life of the organism, the body could not exist. All parts have only one task: to support the life of the body. If some part fails and stops thinking about the general system of the body, it is called disease. If a good relationship is destroyed in the body altogether, then this leads to death.

This is how the entire universe is organized; it functions at the level of thought, at the level of consciousness, and not at the animate level like our body is. We are the opposite of this thought, this law of love.

Feel Two Worlds At The Same Time

293Question: Why is a Kabbalist given the ability to feel two worlds at the same time: the corporeal and the spiritual? Why does he need it?

Answer: Any person has this ability: men, women, regardless of nationality, race, and origin. You just need to develop it within yourself.

People who are drawn to this, develop the quality of bestowal and love within themselves, and as it develops, they begin to feel this quality outside of themselves according to the law of equivalence of form. In this way, they reveal the upper world, the external universe, and feel that they exist in two worlds at the same time.

Question: Then why do we need the five physical sensory organs?

Answer: The physical sensory organs continue to exist until a person fully exits into the general universe, until he develops spiritual senses in himself. When he completely corrects all his egoistic qualities to the quality of bestowal, then his five earthly sensory organs will disappear. They will as if disappear; they will finally be transformed into the quality of bestowal.

An Infinite Moment

214Maimomides (Rambam) writes that our world is below the axis of time and the spiritual world is above time. Therefore, as we move closer to spirituality, we suddenly begin to feel that one second is a very long time. We can fit many events into the period from the beginning of one second to its end.

In modern technology, devices work at high frequencies and are able to process millions of impulses per second, which they could not do before. The spiritual world is way above modern technology and works at an infinite frequency. Therefore, there are no short moments in spirituality, and every moment there is infinite.
