Find The Formula Of Equilibrium

546.02Question: How should a person use his desires?

Answer: A person must understand that he applies his desires in their original egoistic form incorrectly. They are inherent in him by nature, but how to use them correctly, this he must learn.

In nature, everything is built on balance, on harmony. Everyone consumes exactly as much as they need according to the formula of balance.

If I find this formula, I will know what and how much I need to use and how I can optimally fulfill my desires.

Moreover, I will not learn from the surrounding society to chase after some kind of airy virtual values in which there is absolutely nothing valuable, but because society values them and believes that they bare fashionable, I must kill myself to achieve the same level of fashion.

When I know that I need to compare myself not with the trendsetters of fashion and other values, but I need to learn from nature what I should correspond to, then I will reach the best, most optimal, most beautiful level of existence.

In principle, we are already beginning to feel this subconsciously.

Question: But how is this possible?

Answer: Only if we discover nature and find out where these values, these laws, are in it, how we can get in touch with it and receive only good signals from it.

The Goal Provided By Nature

255Question: Was the entire development of humanity only to come to an understanding of the collapse of egoistic development?

Answer: This goal is foreseen by nature. It is described in The Book of the Zohar to the smallest consequences up to our time and even further.

Question: Why did humanity need the path of suffering?

Answer: We need to be aware of our state of impasse, our wrong behavior, and all the bumps we have felt so that then we have something to fix.

It is from the realization of evil and its gradual, consistent correction that we will begin to understand the program of nature. We must definitely see that in this I was wrong, in this I went wrong. We will remember the entire history of mankind—how we gnawed, killed each other, fought, divorced, got together, died, lived, and corrected it because it was egotistically wrong.

Correcting it now, in ourselves, we should not go back thousands of years. Everything will happen very quickly, within months. But it is by feeling, realizing, and correcting our various past problems and mistakes, which we have accumulated throughout the entire development of civilization, that we come to know the upper layer of nature, the upper governance.

Why did it negatively affect us? It is according to our negative behavior. And if I change this behavior to a positive one, how will it affect me? In practice, I follow the same program, only I correct it.

“Advancing From Conflict To Conflict” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “Advancing from Conflict to Conflict”

Last week, a water dispute between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan led to armed clashes that resulted in the death of more than 30 people, scores were injured, and more than 10,000 people had to flee from their homes. Those clashes were the worst in many years between the two countries, and while the fire has subsided for now, the situation is still very tense. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are only the latest in a string of clashes that are becoming increasingly frequent and more intense, not only between countries, but also between factions within countries, as well as domestic violence. The world is clearly becoming a more violent place.

As intolerance grows, these conflicts are bound to grow even more frequent, and spread to countries that have so far been very calm and peaceful. Western Europe, Canada, and many other places that currently enjoy relative calm, will gradually lose that status and will become hotbeds of aggression, too.

As intolerance grows, these conflicts are bound to grow even more frequent, and spread to countries that have so far been very calm and peaceful. Western Europe, Canada, and many other places that currently enjoy relative calm, will gradually lose that status and will become hotbeds of aggression, too.

The culprit behind the escalation is, of course, the human ego. The more interconnected our world is becoming, the more the ego-driven conflicts in one place fuel conflicts in other places and the overall level of violence increases. Already, the violence has pervaded every level of society the world over. Unless we reverse the trajectory, it will come to the state that our sages described as “Man’s enemies are the dwellers of his own home” (Mishnah, Sotah, 9:15), and life will be unbearable.

Nevertheless, there is a purpose for our conflicts. If we understand it, we will be able to reverse the trajectory before we sink into the horrors of another world war, which many already regard as a plausible option. The purpose of the ego-driven conflicts is to impel us to rise above our ego, reject it, shun it, and choose unity despite our inherent dislike.

This may seem counterintuitive: Why must we hate each other first if the whole idea is to eventually love each other? The reason is that unless we experience hatred, we will not want to love one another and will therefore never come to it. We experience everything only through contrasts. Without the opposite of love, we wouldn’t be able to know what it is, much less want it. Just as we wouldn’t know the meaning of words such as “day,” “warmth,” “gentleness,” and “life” without knowing their opposites, we wouldn’t know the meaning of “love” without knowing its opposite.

Therefore, conflicts make sense only if they yield the opposite. If they only fuel more conflicts, they will end up destroying all of us. This is where humanity is going at the moment. We have no time to waste; we must start using the hatred that has already erupted as a lever for building its opposite.

If we think it is impossible, it is only because our egos tell us so. After all, living under a constant threat of violence is not possible either; we’d better get going.

When There Is No Inner Fulfillment

926.02Question: Do you think that today many people are asking the question about the meaning of life?

Answer: Yes. Even within our organization, there are already millions of them from all over the world.

On the other hand, we can see from the level of depression, divorce, terrorism, and drug addiction that this is an escape from life, and only because a person cannot find an answer to the question about the meaning of life.

Drugs and depression are the main scourges in the world. And there is nothing we can do about it. In Northern Europe, suicide accounts for a huge percentage of all incidents.

Comment: It turns out that the more developed people are, the more prone they are to depression.

My Response: They have everything, and they have nothing. This is what our development and our relations should bring us to.

It would seem that there is nothing wrong with us. We have everything: refrigerators, washing machines, television, radio, Internet, computers, dishwashers, mixers, anything you want. What else does a person need? You can rest, and work less. Why do you have to work so hard? There are many unemployed people, right? We can divide the working day between several people and rest the second half of the day. But what will a person do then? He cannot fulfill himself, he will feel completely lost.

I remember when I was at school, the teacher told us how happy we would be when we grow up: “Today people work eight hours. You will work for four hours, and the rest of the time you will rest, play sports, walk in the forest or by the river, and so on.”

I grew up, and it turned out that it is better not to walk in the forest or by the river because they are full of nitrates and acids. Even at the sea, I swim only in certain places, and then after that, I need to wash thoroughly. And we are now working not for eight, but for twelve hours. People come home only to get enough sleep and run to work again.

So what have we come to? Where is this freedom of a person?

Comment: Today a person can no longer even be with himself without being busy with something.

My Response: Yes, he is afraid to be alone with himself. This is why he keeps himself busy with work.

Question: Do you think that the desire of a woman to make a career is also an escape from her nature, from herself?

Answer: This is an attempt to somehow fulfill what her family, husband, and children cannot give her. No more than that. In fact, a woman does not need a career, after all, it is all artificial, unnatural, and even harmful. We will see the proof for that later. The same is true about a man.

A person should not work for twelve hours a day, or for ten, or for eight. We should work not on the basis of how much I can earn in a day, but on the basis of how much I need in order to exist normally.

We should not violate nature, suck it dry, pollute it, because in the end, we find ourselves in a world where we now have to work in order to somehow correct our mistakes.

Protective Shell Against False Information

959Comment: There is a tendency in the media now that goes from one extreme to another. Some media constantly cover negative events. Others try to gloss over those events and want to only show good news; the bad news does not seem to exist. It seems that humanity simply does not know what to do anymore.

My Response: The point is, that old movies and good news calm people down. Why would they want to see all the bad stuff if there is no use for it? I would rather live in my shell, in a so-called soap bubble, with all sorts of soap operas, and feel good.

Just think, life goes by, so I will spend it pleasantly. Why should I listen to bad news and watch these terrible films about murders and continuous gang fights or courtroom squabbles?

A person, in the end, begins to get tired of it, does not want to have contact with this world, and retreats into his own world. So we are constantly building some kind of protective shell around ourselves.

I believe that this is absolutely true. After all, the information we receive is imperfect and biased. Someone sensationalizes them to raise their ratings. Therefore, they twist things to look stunning, publish articles with headlines that make everything seem like it is the end of the world. You look, and there is nothing inside, and even its writing is mediocre.

Question: Where does this inner emptiness come from?

Answer: Everyone has to stand out in order to make some money on it. That is what happens. In the end of course there is emptiness.

Therefore, the people who refuse to do this are right. They are not refusing the truth, but the lies from being played by all these reporters and producers and go into what is more pleasant and better for them. I quite understand them.

But life will not let them calm down because this is not the solution to the problem.

“IMF: Covid Scars The Vulnerable The Most” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “IMF: Covid Scars the Vulnerable the Most”

On the homepage of its website, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) writes that it is “an organization of 190 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.” In a report the IMF published recently, titled After-Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic, the organization concludes that “The degree of expected scarring varies across countries, depending on the structure of economies… Emerging market and developing economies are expected to suffer more scarring than advanced economies.” As usual, the rich and powerful get away with everything, and the exploited weak bear the brunt. We don’t need an organization of 190 countries to know that this is the case, but to change it. When it does nothing to change it, it means that its purpose is not to change the situation but to perpetuate it, mask the ploy from the vulnerable, and if possible, collect a few compliments on its great service to society.

The pandemic is a blessing for the rich and powerful. They use organizations like the IMF as lip-service, and I have zero expectations from them. When they act, it is only in order to gain even more wealth and power. When you bring them an idea, start with what benefit they will get out of it. If you don’t, don’t waste your time or theirs. Things won’t change until the poor raise an outcry that they can no longer survive. Then, things will get interesting. But the clash will be short-lived. In the end, nothing will change because the ego has not changed.

Things won’t change until the poor raise an outcry that they can no longer survive. Then, things will get interesting. But the clash will be short-lived. In the end, nothing will change because the ego has not changed.

If the rich can get away from the crowd by hopping on a private jet to a resort in the Maldives, what incentive will they have to change anything? It looks like things will change only when humanity is lying face down in the gutter. As long as heads of states can get away from it all, and get away with it, nothing will change. On the contrary, there will be “world peace” based on a global economy where people have equally nothing, and a global moral system that says, “Steal as much as you can, however you can, and wherever you can.”

You would think that there is no point talking about the situation, but that is not the case. A change will come, but it will happen only when the lie is exposed to the whole world, and the world cannot ignore it. When this happens, humanity will not sit idly when more than 400,000 people are diagnosed with Covid every single day in India alone, and 4,000 people die there for lack of oxygen and basic medical treatment or adequate facilities. A few weeks ago, this disgrace was happening in Brazil, now it is happening in India, in a few weeks it will happen elsewhere, and we don’t care until it hits us in the face. It isn’t just “aid” organizations that are indifferent; it is all of us.

If we cared, they wouldn’t dare. They wouldn’t have the audacity to contort their faces in phony frowns of sympathy.

Sincerely, I have no hope that a change will come from suffering. People will continue to ache until they feel that death is better than living, but they will still not change. The only thing that will eventually change us is the realization that our only strength is in each other. Then, when people turn toward each other, they will realize that they cannot unite, that their hearts are frozen, and this is why they’re suffering. Only when people try to merge their hearts will they realize that their egoism is their enemy, the cause of their afflictions, and that all along, it has been fooling them into thinking that it is someone else’s fault.

When we try to form a bond, we will finally find the strength and gumption that we need in order to overcome our ordeals. The horrific future on our path will materialize only if we remain oblivious to the solution of unity, the only solution that can work.

Human suffering is not written in stone; it is written in our hearts of stone. If we turn our hearts toward each other, it will soften them, and this will soften our fate.

Nature isn’t cruel. No animal suffers as much as we do, unless we afflict it on them. The only thing that’s cruel in nature is human nature. If we change it, by reaching out to one another and forming a bond that is similar to the bonds among all parts of nature, nature will cease its lashing at us. Then, and only then, we will begin to heal, and start living for real.

So That Nature Does Not Strike Us

961Today I am constantly getting hit by nature. How can I make sure that it does not strike but will stroke me so that everything is good: the sun shines, the rain, the clouds, everything is in due time, everything is good? So that I would live without knowing any bitterness?

I would not exist the way my body exists, but at a higher level where I understand nature, where I connect with it by my “I,” because I consciously enter into harmony with it.

Suddenly I begin to connect to the layer of nature where it controls me, I come into contact with it and feel myself in an eternal, perfect layer of nature. It is higher than the animal level I exist in now.

For this, we have been given the science of Kabbalah, with the help of which we can recognize the part of nature hidden from us. Therefore, Kabbalah is called a secret science. When we see these laws and feel their impact on us, we can build our behavior in accordance with them. This is completely real and clear because I see how I should act.

Kabbalah is indispensable here. Therefore, it is revealed in our time. For the first time in the history of mankind it became necessary for everyone.

Question: Is it necessary because we have reached a certain level at which we must recognize the level of nature?

Answer: We have reached a very simple level—collapse, where we are in a general crisis of upbringing, family, health care, ecology, politics, finance, everything. We try to run away and close our eyes because we do not see a solution. Naturally, a person immediately turns on his restrictive internal systems. It is better not to see the bad tomorrow, I will live today.

But in the end, we feel that we need to understand something in our life; otherwise, we will not be able to exist. The younger generation already feels it clearly.

Today, millions of people in the world understand that we cannot live without the method of balance with nature, which Kabbalah speaks of. This understanding arises within a crisis state, within that detachment and emptiness that modern man feels.

“Who Comes To Study” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “Who Comes to Study”

People often ask me who is the most likely person to become a Kabbalah student, and why some people take interest in it, and some do not, or even reject it. Well, the first thing I mention are the known words of Baal HaSulam, the author of the Sulam [Ladder] commentary on The Book of Zohar, who wrote that Kabbalah is for anyone who asks about the meaning of life. However, many people ask about the meaning of life but don’t end up studying Kabbalah, so while most everyone who comes to study Kabbalah had frequently asked about the meaning of life, not everyone who has asked about the meaning of life end up studying Kabbalah.

Especially today, when the ego is destroying every part of human society, and every person individually, it is especially important to know how we can rein the ego and use it constructively.

Covid has increased the level of people’s anxiety dramatically. Many of them even started to ask about the meaning of life. However, this in itself is not enough to become a serious Kabbalah student. People have gone through all kinds of states during the pandemic: They’ve suffered blows for no apparent reason, felt powerless to deal with them, were forced into an endless struggle for survival, and often had very little support from friends, family, or authorities. Such circumstances can easily drive a person to ask why they deserve the punishment, what is wrong with this life, and how come others are happy and they are not.

However, people entangled in the midst of a crisis are (usually) not the best candidates for studying Kabbalah. Kabbalah is a long process that requires commitment on the part of the student. Therefore, I would say that the best candidates for Kabbalah studies are those who are not in the midst of a crisis, but have experienced one (or more) before, and have since stabilized their lives. Nevertheless, the question about life’s meaning does not let up. When this happens, it is a sign that the question is deep enough to make a person a serious and committed student.

When a person begins to study Kabbalah, new horizons open up. The expanded perception of reality transcends the familiar norms and boundaries that the student was accustomed to or grew up on. This takes away much of the burdens of life, and many “guilt trips” that we all have are lifted because the realization of how things work reveals that we are all ego-driven and therefore cannot really help being selfish.

At the same time, it does not make a student reckless because the wisdom of Kabbalah also teaches how we can become masters of our egos. We do not destroy it or suppress it, but rather harness its powers for positive purposes and make it work for the common good. This is why Kabbalah students are on the one hand very individual, but on the other hand are highly committed to society and collaborate enthusiastically for everyone’s success.

Especially today, when the ego is destroying every part of human society, and every person individually, it is especially important to know how we can rein the ego and use it constructively. Therefore, those who are ready and willing to learn Kabbalah seriously have much to gain from their studies, and society will gain from their learning even more than they themselves will gain.

Reach The State Of Shabbat

294.3Zohar for All, Item 444: Remember the Sabbath Day, to Keep it Holy

Saturday is Sabbath, which comes from the word “Lishbot” (to rest, to stop working). This does not mean a strike, but an abrupt cessation of all activities, and it implies actions for the correction of the soul.

The state of achieving complete correction of the soul is called “Shabbat” – Sabbath. Over the long history of the world, we have been moving toward the correction of our souls. This is the first generation that has begun to do so, and Kabbalah is revealed to everyone.

Detachment is becoming apparent in the world today, it’s all inclusive nature is manifesting, and all for the sole purpose of leading a person to complete despondency, to the need to open his soul and begin to develop it.

We can say that we are now on the eve of Shabbat. That is, from the first revelation of the Creator to Adam, who lived 5,781 years ago, until the end of the whole program, which runs for 6,000 years, there are only 219 years left. But you can reach the Sabbath state earlier.

It is a state where the whole world rises to the next degree, to the feeling of eternity, infinity, and perfection.

We can accomplish this critical transition in a very easy, beautiful way if we explain to everyone what the science of Kabbalah allows us to do and how it is easily and simply implemented.

If we do not choose to advance the easy way, we will still have to reach the sixth day—the state of eternity and perfection, the elevation of our souls—but through very harsh, drastic, dramatic events that may involve world wars.

“Remember the Sabbath Day” means remember that we exist in a temporary state and that we must make all the corrections during our lives in order to reach the eternal and perfect state. Therefore, “remember” means “implement.” Every moment you should implement this idea and move closer to it.

The Transition From A Narrow Circle To The Wide World

214If I am not included in the ten, I cannot effectively impact the world and lead it to correction, because without the ten it is impossible to attract the light that reforms. Alone, I can only transmit theoretical knowledge to the world.

But in any case, it is worth starting to disseminate. If a person has a spiritual spark and is connected to the Bnei Baruch world group, then through it, he will receive the light and will be able to influence the outside world through himself.

Dissemination is when I turn into a channel through which the upper light can reach the uncorrected desires and influence them. If we speak in the ten about our desire to unite, then we connect with each other and through this unity, on one hand, we connect to the Creator, and on the other hand, we connect with the outside world, by wanting to connect one with the other.

This connection is not carried out by explaining the method of correction to people. We simply speak about connection, unity, the future of the world, the purpose of creation, and how it helps us in life and gives answers about the purpose of our existence.

The main thing is to understand that our goal is to correct the Kli of Adam HaRishon, to return it to its perfect state. And that is why the dissemination of Kabbalah is so important today. After all, we have come to what is  called the last generation, that is, the last, general correction. We are right at the transition point from the wisdom of Kabbalah being implemented within a small group, a ten, to the widespread distribution of Kabbalah in the masses, covering the whole world.

This is facilitated by the general state of the world due to the global coronavirus pandemic and other cataclysms in which the world will be drawn more and more. The world will have to go through a very difficult process and experience many unpleasant states. When the upper light approaches us according to the natural course of time and a predetermined program of development, and we are not ready for it, then its approach brings us troubles and problems.

If we are ready for it, then the light will advance us in a good and pleasant way. Therefore, the next decade can be good or bad depending on how much we unite together and connect with the upper light in order to spread the wisdom of Kabbalah through us, that is, to become a channel through which the upper light will affect the entire population of the earth.
