Answer: Yes, you are fully responsible for your friends.

We reach such states in our mutual guarantee where we see that there is no way for any of us to advance or even not to fall from the spiritual state unless there is support from the group. We become more and more dependent on the group.

As a result, we begin to understand that the group is that tube that connects the fetus in the mother’s uterus with the mother. The mutual guarantee, the group, is the bond between the fetus and the mother. We must feel first-hand how important the group is to us.

Rabash, “What to Look For in the Assembly of Friends”: Thus, the friends’ discussions of the greatness of the Creator awaken a desire and yearning to annul before the Creator because he begins to feel longing and desire to bond with the Creator.

This is exactly how we must act: talk more often about the greatness of the Creator because this will make us want to connect with Him more and more. Do not forget this.

Question: How to talk in the group about the greatness of the goal so it is heard?

Question: Why did I have such strong fluctuations of good and bad states and feelings at this convention?

Answer: We have reached such a state where we really begin to connect in one common powerful Kli (vessel) that can accumulate such energy in our hearts that the Creator will be revealed in them. We are already approaching this state. In this regard, this convention is special. It is not formal, it is more internal, and it is already collective.

Question: It seems that at this convention we were dissolving in one desire. We felt differently than at other conventions. We wanted to advance and reach the goal. What does this show us?

Answer: This shows that we are already in the correct state and we only need to increase it. I feel the same way and I am very happy about this convention.

Question: The desire to unite brought us together. And women had a desire for a prayer of such strength that both the heart would respond and the mind would agree. What can we do to achieve this result?

Question: What is a spiritual vessel? How does it break? How can we put the broken pieces together in a ten?

Answer: Let us say you had a good relationship with someone and then you broke up, i.e., you somehow separated from each other, can no longer be together, and do not have the connection you used to have. This is an example of before and after.

Now try to see how you can restore the former ties above hatred, all the way to love. This is how it works. The Creator deliberately broke us up, separated us, and distanced us, so that we would try to overcome this distance, oppositeness, and contradictions, and thus return to the previous state of unification, but 625 times stronger.

Then the small light we once had will multiply by five, by another five, and by another five to become 125 times greater than the small illumination supporting us now. It will turn into the light of Yechida that gathers and unites us.

We must go through all these stages. There is nothing to fear; the main thing is the principle of our work. The hardest part is the first degree. Then everything will start to move; the principle is the same.

Question: Where exactly do we feel the existence of the Creator, the reality of the Creator, the hand of the Creator? At what point?

Answer: This is felt in the heart of a person who really wants to have a heartfelt connection with his friend, with his group.

Question: What is the connection between bestowal and faith above reason, and what is primary here?

Answer: Faith above reason is the Kli (vessel) that we create, and bestowal is the force, the work of the Kli directed at each other and at the Creator. We will gradually begin to feel all this.

Question: If I see all the friends in the ten as the Creator, does this mean that I am building the Kli of faith above reason?

Answer: Yes. The only question is, is it really so or are you deceiving yourself. But we are yet to learn to check ourselves, to measure, and to weigh faith above reason. And so we will move forward. Each stage will be different both in content and power.

Question: Is it called faith above reason when I already feel love toward the ten and that it is not a game?

Answer: In this case, it is considered that you must ascend to the next step.

In regards to the next step, you are still in an egoistic state. You will again have to apply the same methods as the rest, that is, to ascend by faith above reason because everyone who is higher, his egoism is greater. We cannot escape this work; it is the same for everyone.

Question: How does one understand correctly what the group wants from me?

Answer: The group wants you to annul yourself, stick to it and become one with it. From the side of the group, this should be a requirement, an expectation from each of its members.

Question: What is the difference between the guarantee we can give each other in our current state and a spiritual guarantee? Is the difference quantitative or qualitative?

Answer: Now we can accept a purely mechanical guarantee and somehow it exists between us in the group.

In principle, mutual guarantee is the basis of any society, even the most barbaric one. All the same, there are some elements of mutual obligations.

Throughout the history of mankind, it can be traced that only the degree of even selfish guarantee determines the level of development of social ties that encourage us to build huts, cities, and states.

This comes from an inner awareness of mutual guarantee. Then there are peoples, nations, and so on.

Faith above reason is the individual Kli (vessel) of every person who builds this faith. Therefore, it cannot be passed on to others. We can only teach them by constantly talking about it and influencing each other correctly.

But then to the extent of one’s efforts, each will be able to create such inner preconditions for the upper light to influence them and create faith above reason in them. The quality of Bina will manifest itself more and more in a person, up to the point that the Creator will be revealed in him or her.

There is a section in Kabbalah called “Faith above reason.” I advise everyone to scrutinize it in all languages, so that you learn it and become ready to create the conditions necessary to reveal the Creator.

Question: When rejection from friends appears, how should one work with it practically?

Answer: It is very simple: clench your teeth, raise the greatness of the Creator and the greatness of the goal to the point that you thank Him for giving you such contradictions and disturbances because it is now clear to you that by rising above them, you are rising to Him.

In our world, in our states, there is nothing more correct, more reasonable than when a problem is put before us. In this case, it is clear to you that if you overcome it, you will get closer to the Creator. That is, it is a hint and help from the Creator.

My influence on the friends that passes through the common Kli (Adam) returns to me. In this return to me, there is also my effort to rise above myself, the desire to be in faith above reason and in mutual guarantee for others.

There are already some desires with intentions and efforts, as if we are starting to organize a spiritual Partzuf. There is a restriction and a reflected light when I do not want anything for myself but only for my friends, and, according to my efforts, I receive the forces of bestowal and connection from above.

And although it does not seem like a special spiritual action to us, all the elements of the Partzuf, the structure of the soul, already take place in it. Gradually, all this will develop and we will see in ourselves, in our friends, in our common Kli, and in all of humanity how it all settles in us and transforms.

Therefore, the implementation of the rule “faith above reason,” is the main one. And mutual guarantee (Arvut) is designed to help fulfill it and lead us to a state where we all will all be connected together. A loner will never be able to perform a single spiritual action if there is not at least one more friend next to him whose advancement he cares about.

We ourselves cannot pull ourselves by the hair out of the swamp we are in. We can only help others, and  through others ourselves, and so to each other. Therefore, this principle is called “mutual guarantee.”
It is said that only by fulfilling mutual guarantee toward all of mankind, will we consistently and gradually lead the whole world to correction and to the revelation of the upper world in everyone.
