Nine Important Rules In Life

571.04Remark: People have developed several universal rules of society. Do they stem from the Kabbalistic point of view, and do we need to adjust ourselves and follow them?

The first rule is: “Try to fill your life and the lives of your loved ones with love. This way you will attract favorable circumstances and prosperity. However, displaying aggression in any form will manifest itself in a constant deterioration in the quality of life and in failure in general.”

My Reply: This is partly true. However, it is better to say: show love to others throughout your life and not just to your loved ones. Then your life will be filled with a completely new, upper meaning.

Remark: “There is absolutely nothing random in life. With your thoughts, words, actions, and deeds you shape your current reality and your future.”

My Reply: This is correct. But only if we understand how to do the right thing. Otherwise, we may think that we are doing the right thing, and life all of the sudden trips us up.

Doing the right thing means to move clearly toward the purpose of creation, not as we want or think, but in the way that it actually corresponds to the program of nature.

Remark: The next rule is related to the previous one: “Our thoughts shape the events and reality of each of us. Learn to think positively and you will create a reality that will please you. And vice versa: rage, anger, hatred, envy, and pride attract failures and bad luck.”

My Reply: I cannot create my life in my fantasies. I have to do this by properly adhering with others, in the correct connection with others: I with them and they with me. If I create my life out of this good connection, then it will really be good.

Question: Many people believe in God. Nowadays even atheists are coming to the conclusion that there is something that controls us. Can a person be connected with the upper universe? How can we connect correctly?

Answer: There is no individual who controls us. God does not exist.

There is a single law of nature, which we must obey. Then we will begin to attain it, and through good connection with it, we will really become masters of our own destiny. We will become Gods provided that we are completely similar to this upper force, the quality of bestowal and love.

Remark: Another rule: “No matter how serious your offenses are, the universe still loves each one of you. Remember, however, that it is giving us what we need at this very moment, which is known only to it.”

My Reply: Yes, that is correct. You can say so.

Remark: One of the main universal laws is the law of equivalence of form. If you do not love yourself, then others will not love you or will neglect you.

My Reply: I need to love others and only others. Only for their sake and only for them. This is the only correct rule.

Question: Where can I find an example of this?

Answer: In the fact that now you love yourself egoistically. Imagine that you have to switch over and love others in the same way.

Remark: “There is absolutely everything inside a person: power, fame, honor, money, and beauty. The task is to release all the abundance into the reality around you.”

Answer: Indeed, if a person gives everything he has to others, he will be the happiest, the wisest, the most corrected, and everything will be good for him.

Question: What does it mean “to give everything he has to others?”

Answer: He will be bringing them to the most comfortable, the best, the most perfect state, not to what they want, but to what actually exists at the top of nature. Just like a mother who wants to educate a child: she does not do everything the child wants, but does the best possible for him so that he reaches the most perfect state.

Remark: “Do not classify people around you into good and bad.” Is there a correct criterion by which people can be evaluated?

My Reply: Of course. A person who does everything for the benefit of society is good and vice versa.

Remark: “For the universe, there are no such concepts as guilt, punishment, and so on. It is important not to ask “What do I need all this for?” But, “Why do I need all this?”

My Reply: This is correct.

Question: Does the universe have such concepts as guilt or punishment?

Answer: Improvement. Correction. It is to lead a person to the need to be in complete bestowal to everyone.

Question: What is the most important rule of the universe?

Answer: Love.

Question: How can one learn to love?

Answer: You cannot learn that. You have to teach yourself. Constantly, in a group, in connection with your own kind, according to the method of Kabbalah. This is exactly the result of the correct implementation of the method of Kabbalah.

Mutual Care

627.2Question: Do you agree with the statement that parenting is necessary for the parents themselves? After all, when I bring up children, I improve myself.

Answer: Of course, however, future parents need to be educated before they have children. And even after that, it is imperative that parents are clearly accompanied by all sorts of relevant organizations and specialists.

Question: In different cultures, relations between generations develop in different ways. There are cultures in which parents are very helpful to their children, and there are cultures that believe that children should develop themselves. How much do you think parents should help children and until when?

Answer: I think parents should help their children all their lives, but only to such an extent that would not constrain the children and would allow them to become independent parents themselves.

Nevertheless, parental care for their children should accompany them throughout their life. Likewise, children should mutually care for their parents.

Question: Do you think that at some stage children are obliged to start taking care of their parents?

Answer: Naturally. No one can replace this relationship. You can inundate the elderly with money and various types of services, but if the children do not take care of them, no one can replace them.

Comment: This is especially important today.

Answer: Unfortunately, today we have done everything to avoid taking care of either children or parents.

The Education Of A Lifetime

567.04Question: The aspects of family are the birth of offspring, the satisfaction of sexual needs, emotional support for each other, and the upbringing of children.

Almost a third of our lives are devoted to their education. What is the reason for such a long period? After all, this is not observed in the animal world. Why is it arranged so?

Answer: Man is a very complex being. A person needs to be brought up so that he can not only maintain himself at the animalistic level, but also be a social being and get the skills to interact with his own kind.

These are not just skills in a pack that clearly dictates the rules of behavior from a young age and is understood by all. There is a different adaptation of the person to the environment. He must understand the psychological, internal, mental, and spiritual state of others in order to be in the right balance with them.

Question: The more a society develops, the more time is needed to develop communication between people. If a few thousand years ago 5 to 10 years were enough for this, then today or in the future it will be necessary to educate people for life?

Answer: Sure. Why not? We will learn and work on ourselves all our lives, and all our lives we will change ourselves and the world around us.

The Kabbalistic Criterion Of Generation

933Question: A generation is a collection of people living in a certain historical period of time. It can be identified according to three criteria: one shared historical era, shared specific patterns of behavior, and a certain shared collective life experience in it.

In what periods would you divide generations based on the laws of nature?

Answer: Observing our history over thousands of years, it is possible to divide the eras according to some specific criterion. Since I am engaged in the science of Kabbalah, I divide everything that happens in our world, including generations, according to humanity’s aspiration to the goal of creation.

Therefore, the period starting from ancient Babylon when the method of Kabbalah was created under the leadership of the ancient Babylonian priest Abraham, who made a spiritual revolution and called people to unite on the principle of “love your neighbor as yourself,” is very important for me.

Remark: In the holy books, this generation is called the generation of the diaspora.

My Comment: Indeed, it gave impetus to the dispersion of people around the globe. The next generation is the generation of the exodus from Egypt, the realization of egoism as evil, the rise of the group of Abraham above their egoism.

Question: Ten generations passed from Adam to Noah and from Noah to Abraham. What did the sages base their judgement on dividing these generations and giving them names, for example, “the generation of the desert”?

Answer: We are talking about a group of people who lived in the urge to find the meaning of life, to reveal what governs humanity, the reason and purpose of its origin, and where it goes. Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to determine what can be called a generation. I believe that it is the aspiration that people have regarding the purpose of creation. That is how I divide all historical intervals into generations. They are very different at that. There are generations that may be a thousand years old, and there are those that change over the course of several decades or even less.

The Essence Of Generational Conflicts

293Question: Psychologists say that the cause of generational conflicts is inequality between fathers and children. Do you think there can be friendly relations between them? After all, usually there is a certain disregard for children on the part of fathers: “What do you understand?” And the same with the children. Can they be on equal footing?

Answer: No, parents and children should not be equal. This would only harm a child. You should be his senior friend. Not just a friend, but a senior friend.

Question: Often the center of conflict between generations is the issue of freedom from the norms and values of the previous generations. Each generation changes its values, and this leads to disagreements. Do you agree with this statement?

Answer: Naturally. I belong to both societies, I know both generations well, and therefore I absolutely agree with this.

Question: Are there any universal values that could reduce the gap between generations?

Answer: The value should be above both the religious and secular society. It consists in absolute merging with integral nature, which is the upper force, the highest value, the highest quality. Therefore, we must explore this nature and be connected with it.

Loneliness Kills

293Some time ago, there was a suicide: a young man, an Israeli, a school teacher, committed suicide. He had a steady job, students, good health, and good looks, but was lonely.

In his farewell post on Facebook he wrote, “It’s bad when a person is alone. Loneliness kills. Day after day passes, month after month, year after year, and I am alone all the time: at lunch, at work, in the evening, on weekends, on holidays, on birthdays that no one remembers. The few friends I had disappeared over time. It’s time for me to go.”

This young man was not an exceptional case. According to statistics, even before the coronavirus, almost half of Americans felt lonely all the time or from time to time. 54% said they do not have close friends—that is about 200 million people in the US alone.

Loneliness is not only an American phenomenon. According to surveys, about one-third of Britons often feel lonely. Half of Britons over the age of 65 spend time with their TV, dog, or cat. In America and Canada, single people occupy 28% of all homes, and in European countries—34% or more. Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, the problem of loneliness became even more acute.

Why do people feel more alone than ever in the most sociable era in human history? This indicates that there is no connection between us, despite the fact that we seem to be connected. We invent new communication devices: radio, television, the Internet, computers with an infinite number of different programs.

Yet, all this does not give a person fulfillment. One can find company, but it does not meet his inner demand to feel an internal connection, mutual dependence, like with the people that you are close to so that we are really interested in each other’s lives and do not just ask out of politeness.

There is no heartfelt connection between us. It turns out that I do not owe anything to anyone, and no one owes me anything. I do not need anyone, and nobody needs me, so I am not really connected to anyone.

When a person feels this way internally, it cuts them off from life. After all, what else is there in it? Sky, earth, air, houses, cars, all this fuss? The life on the screen of a TV or computer does not touch me, does not require my participation and help. In other words, our connections lack heart. This is the reason that so many people suffer from loneliness and even end up taking their own lives.

It would seem that it is good not to depend on anyone. However, we see that this is not the case. We want to be bound to each other by mutual obligations so that someone is important to me, and I am important to someone, and not just a statistical unit. I want to be a person so that someone is interested in me.

No one taught us at school how to communicate with each other. At work, too, no one is interested in the person himself, rather the worker is important. We have not built a society that binds people with friendly relations, with care for each other. The means of communication are only called that, but what do they connect us to? We have lost the correct direction of our aspirations.

Even the connection between parents and children disappeared: parents go to work early in the morning and return late at night. As soon as the children have the opportunity to leave their parents’ homes, they immediately run away. If they stay, it is only because there is nowhere to go and it is more cost-effective to stay with their parents, that is, this is an attitude of a consumer.

Mother will always feed, clothe, and give shelter. Yet, I am not going to create such a family myself. I was not brought up for family relationships. I lived in a family where my mother and father went to work for the whole day, and I did not see the family. The family once existed where a woman stayed at home with children and a man went to work. In the evening, the whole family gathered together and looked at each other because there was no TV. There were many children in the families and the grandparents were also there.

Today there is no such thing, today children lock themselves in their rooms with a computer and have their own life. We grow up to be indifferent, devoid of human sympathy, and do not need each other. At least, the way we are now—we do not need each other. Loneliness is the result of all this.

However, people suffer from loneliness, they want connection. They do not want to commit themselves, but a person is a social being, and therefore cannot live without society. A person needs to rely on the society to be associated with it and to learn from it. If you do not talk to him, do not take an interest in him, then he grows up to be an animal and not a human.

Therefore, it is not surprising that it is good people, educated people, who are drawn to society, to connection with others, who see that such life is worthless.

Children And Questions About Death

570Question: How do you advise answering children’s questions about death? At what age can you talk to children about such topics? Should I take my child to a funeral?

Answer: I would not advise talking with children about death and taking them to a cemetery until they are 15 years old.

Question: And if they themselves ask such questions? They say that at the age of 10 or 11 they already begin to take interest in this.

Answer: Naturally. But I would not recommend it. Better to distract them from it. The child should not overload his psyche with such things. Let him study.

Base For Creating A Family

79.01Question: If earlier the basis for creating a family was to provide the necessary needs for a person, today, when all these needs are met, it is necessary to look for a higher goal for creating a family. What could be such a goal?

Answer: I don’t see it in the modern world. Neither does humanity. However, the science of Kabbalah states that the family is necessary in order to be like a higher power. The obligation to create a family, give birth, and raise children is dictated to us by the higher necessity, so that we become like the Creator.

Since we are not animals in the sense that we do not have the instincts that guide animals and because we can regulate the problems of families independently, we must bind ourselves to certain values. They come from our similarity to a higher force of nature.

Question: The Creator is a property of bestowal that develops all of nature. Therefore, in order for this property to manifest in me and I could understand where it can be applied and in relation to whom, I must have a family. I learn this instinctively in my own household, and then I can apply it to other people?

Answer: Yes. And then correctly transfer it to the whole society.

Before And After The Internet Age

959Question: Psychologists say that the biggest gap exists between Millennials (people born in the 80-90s of the 20th century) and their parents. Scientists call this gap a digital conflict.

We are talking about people who entered the era of the Internet, and there is a huge gap between them and their parents. What is your opinion? What happened during this period other than the digital gap?

Answer: We, those who lived in the pre-Internet era, know how we existed: We went to work, returned from it, bought food, carried it home, cooked food, and went to bed. And the next day the same thing happened again. Like in Charlie Chaplin movies.

Today, everything is completely different: We live in the Internet, in integral communication between each other, between all parts of the Earth. We don’t even know from where we are being written to or where we are writing; it doesn’t matter to us because we have moved to a completely different level of communication. If you cut off Internet connection between people now, you can imagine what chaos would reign on Earth.

Imagine that there was an alleged explosion of solar activity, the plugs burned out, and all communications failed. All management systems would ceased to function: military, civil, ministries, banks, and so on. Devices would stop working in hospitals, everywhere, anywhere.

In other words, now if we break the connection between us, which did not exist 50 years ago, we would cease to exist because we would not have any means of communication. Everything is tied to this.

How Do Generations Differ From Each Other?

600.04Remark: We can see from history that the duration of the change of generations is shortening. If before generations changed in a few thousand years, then in a few hundred years, today twenty years is enough.

My Comment: Yes, but what has changed in these twenty years? In principle, people do not change much. Only their attitude to material values changes: the pursuit of acquiring cars, smartphones, and clothes, the desire to travel abroad, and so on.

All of this does not define the generations. They do not change qualitatively in their inclination to the question about the meaning of life. Therefore, their names X, Y, Z, and so on are all quite conventional. Practically, what is there between these generations? The toys they play with.

Remark: There are common experiences. One generation survived the war, another, some other historical event.

My Comment: We just replace one with another. We replaced the purpose of creation and our aspiration to it in different epochs with something absolutely shallow, corporeal.

Question: What is the conflict between fathers and sons, i.e., between generations?

Answer: I do not see any significant conflict here. If the fathers played with primitive computers, the sons are now playing with more advanced machines. Yet, what is the qualitative difference between them? Is the difference in the approach to the meaning of life, to the revelation of the essence of our existence? There is none of this.
