Answer: No, it is very difficult to read it in a group. It is enough to read alone for now. Everyone can start reading The Book of Zohar, and immerse themselves in it. Don’t read all kinds of introductions, but The Book of Zohar itself, the articles “The Letters of Rav Hamnuna Saba,” “The Vision of Rabbi Hiya,” and others.

Question: What does the correct perception of the outside world mean?

Answer: By the outside world, in this case, we mean the ten. To be connected with the outside world means to gather with all the friends of the ten in a circle and from within this circle, that is, in the connection between us, to appeal to the Creator.

Question: Is all that we feel as bitterness an action of bestowal, and all that we feel as sweetness reception?

Answer: Yes, in our uncorrected feelings it is so, for now.

Question: How do we come to the perfect prayer so that the Creator hears us as one person with one heart?

Answer: The Creator perfectly feels your states, your degrees, and your capabilities. Therefore, there is nothing to complain about Him, but only about yourself.

Question: As a rule, we turn to the Creator out of a state of despair. And if I am calm and reasonable, do I have a chance to be heard?

Answer: It does not depend on what state you are in, but on how much you need to turn to the Creator and what you turn to Him with. If you have such a need, then you will have a connection with the Creator.

Question: When we look at the nature of our world, we see that there is still harmony at the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels. Is the manifestation of egoism observed mainly at the level of human nature, at the level of society?

Answer: No, egoism affects all the lower degrees too. Are animals not egoistic? Are plants not egoistic? They have an egoistic intention to act only for their own benefit; it is just that it is not as complex as ours.

Question: So there is no harmony at all in our earthly nature, at all degrees?

Answer: No. In nothing.

Question: Why did Kabbalists for thousands of years not describe such an important process as the shattering of the vessels?

Answer: In general, the wisdom of Kabbalah is not very ancient although it is considered as such. It does not take tens of thousands of years. After all, it describes the development of a human being starting from Adam. And not even so much from Adam but from generations that subsequently developed from him.

Thus, this wisdom is not so ancient and not even too concealed. It has just not been interesting for anyone. Therefore, the one who was interested in it was able to find it and study it. But in general, Kabbalah did not advertise itself in any way.

Regarding the war, the world has split sharply in two: for or against Israel. This confrontation manifests itself in every society and every corner of the world. What role does it play in the process of correction, and why is it happening this way?

I see this confrontation as a force that will oblige the people of Israel to unite. This pressure has no other purpose than to act on us so that we unite with each other.

The world is boiling, and everyone is looking at Israel as if it is an open wound on the body of the world. Why is such attention drawn to it? After all, if you look at the geographical map of the world, Israel is a very tiny country. However, this material map does not show the spiritual connection of Israel with the entire world.

It is not clear how it is possible that the whole world, billions of people with all their weapons, cannot cope with a tiny country that is almost invisible on the map. Here, the connection between the corporeal and spiritual world is clearly manifested, and we are at the most decisive point.

Despite the smallness of the State of Israel, the world feels particular importance in what is happening there. If you look at the size of this country on the map, it seems there is nothing to talk about. And yet they cannot do anything to us.

It is written in the prophets that at the end of correction, every person from the nations of the world will cling to a Jew to lead them to the holy land. It turns out that it is not enough for us to go out into the spiritual world, but we must bring everyone along with us, and the nations of the world will push us to rise to additional, still higher levels.

Michael Laitman on the Times of Israel: “Why Do People Dislike Israel? What Is It That Israel Has Done Wrong?”

We, the people of Israel, have to correct ourselves by uniting “as one man with one heart,” and by doing so, become a conduit for such unification to spread worldwide.

Until we do so, then the lack of unity in the world surfaces as myriad problems and crises, and more and more people feel subconsciously that the people of Israel are to blame for their shortcomings.

Therefore, the shift to a harmonious and peaceful world depends on our unity. When we unite, we form a critical mass that then enables humanity as a whole to also come together. Then, when there is a spirit of unity among human society, it alleviates the many forms of suffering that emerge on personal, social and global scales.

This unifying spirit beyond divisions is what originally made us known as “the people of Israel” (“Israel” from two Hebrew words, “Yashar Kel” [“straight to God”], which means a people aimed directly at the source quality of love). We were people who first came together around 4,000 years ago not based on biological ties, but according to the method of attaining “love your neighbor as yourself” that Abraham established, specifically in an era that was marked by rampant social division.

We should thus see the many forms of hatred and dislike of the people of Israel as reminders that we need to come together with relations of love, care and kindness dwelling in our connections above any kind of divisiveness that we might feel toward each other.

Everything in reality, good or bad, and even the most harmful in the world, has a right to exist and must not be destroyed and eradicated from the world. We must only mend and reform it (Baal HaSulam, “Peace in the World“).

Negative phenomena is our egoism when a man wants to act in the name of good only for himself.

Question: Negative phenomena manifest themselves very clearly during war. Is there any way to correct them?

Answer: No, there is not. Baal HaSulam means that we can gradually bring ourselves to the feeling that all manifestations of egoism are evil and all anti-egoism are good.

Question: On one hand, he says that not a single phenomenon should be destroyed but only be corrected. On the other hand, there is a clear principle in the Torah: If they come to destroy you, you must stand up first and kill them, that is, destroy them, not correct them. How do these two principles interact?

Answer: If they come at you with weapons, you must defend yourself and do what they wanted to do to you. That will be your correction.

Question: When a Kabbalist comes out from under the influence of the whole world and merges with the Creator, what happens to him?

Answer: He begins to feel the governance of the Creator.

He ceases to perceive his own thoughts and feelings, begins to feel the thoughts and feelings of the ten, and to this extent comes closer to the Creator.

To feel the Creator’s thoughts in the ten means the revelation of His plan—what He really wants from us.
