Ask Without Stopping

534Question: In an ordinary society, we are afraid that our egoism will be hurt and we try to pacify it. Why is it in the ten that egoism breaks through without restrictions; why is it so uncontrollable?

Answer: Because it is in the ten that we have to correct it. But we do not know what the level of initial egoism depends on. This is how our initial conditions and many other parameters with which we are born are set.

Question: What can I do if I understand in my mind what the recognition of evil is, but I cannot feel it in my heart?

Answer: Ask all the time without stopping like a child who wants something and you cannot get rid of him in any way. This is the way you should ask.

Questions about Spiritual Work—14

626Question: A person wants to be good and not just to pretend, but flaws are constantly being revealed in him. Can he build an intention that the Creator would change this in him for the sake of the friends?

Answer: He can ask the Creator for this.

Question: To what extent should the recognition of evil develop in us so that we can come to love of others?

Answer: The recognition of evil must be complete.

Question: Where can I find an example of an image of a person that I can follow and imitate?

Answer: These are your friends in the ten. Without this, you will not advance.

Question: When we work for the sake of bestowal and do not want anything in return, it is similar to the feeling of losing taste in a meal. What should we ask for in a place of this emptiness and lack of taste?

Answer: We must always ask the Creator to work with us.

Question: We should not wait for compensation for our egoism. But what if there are a lot of thoughts about this compensation in my head? How can I calm them down, how can I fight them off? It is impossible to find a foothold; there is confusion in my head.

Answer: Hold on to the Creator through the group. It only depends on Him to what extent you will be corrected.

Feel the Friend

565.01Question: You say we should feel the friend, connection, and merging into one heart. But I have never felt this. Although I feel the result of my friends becoming greater for me, and I see our commonality, I am glad that we are together, but nothing more. What effort should I make to make these feelings more accurate and more precise, or should I not strive for this?

Answer: You need to try to open your heart a little. Do various exercises to connect with your friends and you will be able to expand your heart gradually so that you will be closer to the Creator.

Question: No matter how hard I try, I do not feel the friends. Can I pray to the Creator to give me this sensitivity?

Answer: Of course you can. This is a very good request. The Creator will hear it with pleasure.

Question: How, without adding my egoism, can I pass a friend’s desire to the Creator in its purest form?

Answer: Do not worry about the Creator. To the extent of your exertion, desire, and yearning to pass to the friend, the Creator will feel it all perfectly.

The Weakening of the Screen

509In the “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah,” Baal HaSulam describes a process known as “Hizdakchut of the Masach“—the weakening of the screen.

The point is that when the screen (the anti-egoistic force) begins to operate inside the egoistic desire, the desire and the screen gradually as if weaken each other. Therefore, there is a gradual thinning (weakening) of the screen and a decrease in the size of the Partzuf, that is, the desire that is capable of receiving the light for the sake of bestowal.

Thus, in a person, in any desire, there is a process of the disappearance or diminishment of all screens, Partzufim, Sefirot.

Comment: In principle, in our world, it turns out that if pleasure (light) enters a desire, it immediately extinguishes that desire.

But in the spiritual world, there is a screen that prevents the pleasure from extinguishing. But you said that there is still a process of weakening or disappearing of the screen.

My Response: This happens gradually, because the Light constantly presses and wants to enter fully the desires directly from the world of infinity. And when the screen weakens completely, then the expansion of the light in the Kli ends.

Just like in our world when you start to eat something, you gradually lose the desire, lose the appetite, the craving for food, and it comes to an end. But in spirituality, you consciously limit yourself so as not to receive in your egoistic Kli, and therefore, this restriction gradually reduces portions of the light.

The patent for infinite pleasure lies in the fact that since you cannot receive pleasure in the egoistic Kli, you use the screen to build a new Kli in which you can receive, but only for the sake of bestowal. And since the Creator is infinite, naturally, you can receive pleasure infinitely.

The Advantage of Cryptocurrency

272Question: There is the phenomenon of cryptocurrencies of late. This is not ordinary paper money, but some informational data, which today is increasingly capturing all areas of monetary relations. It can already be used to pay in stores and online.

What is this phenomenon? Previously, money was just gold and silver, which were accepted all over the world. Now, instead of money, some data appears. Why do people come more and more to this type of money?

Answer: Cryptocurrency is more convenient. I do not have to carry a bag of money anywhere, my pocket does not tear from gold coins, they cannot steal my checkbook, and so on. All this is much more reliable.

Of course, along with this, there are inconveniences of how to store it, how to write out checks, how to do something else, and so on, but in general this is progress. It will continue, we cannot do anything with this. I think that no one can interfere with the development of cryptocurrencies.

Question: But here countries are faced with a problem because they cannot regulate cryptocurrencies, since in this case, the money is sort of above the country. This is a kind of distributed value, which is managed from a huge number of devices that are not tied to the country. Why is money rising above state power?

Answer: Because countries as such should have been liquidated long ago, there is no point in their existence. People should be outside the countries and communicate freely with one single currency—a gold coin, or not even a gold, does not matter what it will be. That is how things should be.

Causal Similarity

243.01A spiritual Partzuf is a spiritual desire, meaning, a set of forces and vectors that want to work for bestowal, not for reception.

The place where the decision is made about how much light to receive for the sake of bestowal is called the Rosh (head). The part into which this light falls is called the Toch (torso). The part that cannot be used for the sake of the Creator or society is called Sof (lower limbs).

The place where the screen is located—an anti-egoistic quality that allows the creation to do all these calculations—is called the Peh (mouth).

It turns out that the spiritual world is a world of clear calculations. That is the only way it acts.

Question: Is it possible to say that all spiritual forces and vectors, as a cause-and-effect relationship, draw a person into our world? Is that why we see the body of a person who also has a head, mouth, and so on?

Answer: Of course. Our biological body is arranged exactly in accordance with how the upper spiritual body is arranged.

In principle, there is no connection between our biological body and spiritual vectors. It is just that the spiritual body has given certain powers and qualities to create a biological body.

In the spiritual world, there are certain relationships between the head, body, legs, arms, and so on, which are practically embodied in our animal body. This is how we are built. This is a purely causal similarity.

“What’s the difference between mind and thought?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: What’s the difference between mind and thought?

Thoughts are nonexistent in and of themselves. Rather, they occur in the mind.

The mind derives from desires.

Our desires derive from the desire that exists in nature.

The desire that exists in nature derives from the intention that exists in nature.

Such a chain manifests in us in order to create desires. Accordingly, desires surface thoughts, and thoughts weave together the mind.

When a certain network of thoughts forms within us, which we can own and operate, we can then evaluate our desires—the influences from nature—and try to connect our mind with nature’s mind, and our desires with nature’s desires.

Desires are primary, and the mind serves them. It turns out that the size and versatility of our desires corresponds to the size of our mind that tries to serve and satisfy them.
