Astronomy and astrology are sciences that reflect the inner forces of nature. I take these sciences seriously, even astrology, but only if it is real and not an amateur one. In ancient times, very smart people were engaged in it. Back then a person was closer to nature, he relied on it.

Today we have simply distanced ourselves from nature, we do not feel its inner forces, yet for our ancestors, these were very significant signs through which they felt various forces. After all, when you work with some material, you start to feel it.

Talk today with a scientist-astronomer who lives, as they say, among the stars.

He will tell you that they are thoughts, they are desires, they are some kind of internal actions, and each star has its own character. He will talk about them and about the entire universe as something alive, claiming: “The cosmos is just a brain!”

Question: Do astronomy and astrology have some kind of spiritual root?

Answer: Of course! They are a reflection of upper forces at our level.

We live in one single dimension. All the worlds are in it, but we feel only the smallest part of them, the vaguest manifestation of them, which we call our world. That is why Kabbalists call our world Olam HaMedume—the world that we imagine, because we feel it, being as if in an unconscious state, in oblivion.

Question: Does a person receive the upper illumination when he acts contrary to his desire and tries to overcome it?

Answer: The light comes when a person, despite his egoism, hatred, anger, and everything that repels him from love, from connection with other people, and from merging with them into one common desire, wants to be connected with them, and rises above the ego.

Naturally, he cannot immediately yearn for this, but gradually, in the way a child grows, he moves in small steps. Even if he relates to connecting with others purely egoistically, all the same, the light slowly influences him and he realizes that he is still in such a state.

After all, the descent and degradation of the power of the upper light took place on purpose, step by step, and through a system of filters, so that even we, who are in the opposite quality, absolutely egoistic, and want to receive only for ourselves, can attract its influence upon us. It is not directly like when we feel how it is awakened in us, but is in the form of the “surrounding light,” as if from afar, since we are opposite to it. To the extent that we become more and more like this light, we feel it even more clearly. This explicit manifestation of the light is called the revelation of the Creator.

Question: If the light is revealed in such a state, does it not simply burn and incinerate?

Answer: How can it be revealed in the opposite state? It can be revealed only according to the law of equivalence of form and in no other way.

The light is in front of you in a free, open form, and you can receive it, feel it, and call it upon yourself only to the extent that you yearn for it, its quality. Therefore it cannot be revealed more or less;  you (not the light) command the extent to which it is revealed within you. Nothing depends on it. It all depends on the person!

Therefore to the extent that you perform within yourself some actions that guide, bring closer, and direct you to the light, it influences you. You cause its influence.

Question: The Royal Family of Saudi Arabia has decided to invest a billion dollars annually in a non-profit organization that develops life extension technologies.

The Hevolution Foundation will distribute grants for development of anti-aging drugs and their clinical trials. They want to find the means to delay onset of diseases and open them to the masses. They say that it will be not just for the royal family.

It is interesting that part of humanity is looking for how to depart quietly, without pain. And part of humanity is looking for how to prolong life and to be beautiful and young. Toward which part do you lean more?

Answer: I believe that there really is no particular sense in prolonging human life. It is necessary to invest in making human life meaningful. It takes many, many billions of dollars or riyals—no matter what currency—to convey to a person the real meaning of a happy life. But how long you will live, it all depends on public awareness.

People used to live for 30, 40, 50, or 60 years. I remember that when I was little, people died at the age of 60 to 65, and it was considered that a person had lived a normal life.

Question: So, are you in favor of turning the focus around, not to live long and healthy, but to live with awareness that I am looking for the meaning of life?

Answer: Yes.

Comment: Interesting! This is a revolution in the mindset of a person.

My Response: Of course. If they had invented such a pill that instead of me shuffling my feet on my parquet for another 15 years I would cheerfully go to the next world but with a good result—finding the meaning of life—then it would be better.

If you offer me such a pill, I am ready, I will subscribe to it. Take away those 15 or however many years and give me the meaning of life. Don’t just tell me, but to make it so that I attain the real meaning.

Question: Tell me, when does this understanding arise in a person that he is ready to give everything?

Answer: It cannot be that our life has no meaning. This issue needs to be explained. Then, starting from it and further, we need to introduce a person gradually into the revelation of the meaning of life, its true meaning.

Question: Would even the richest people want to give all their money just to discover and achieve this?

Answer: That is what people will invest in with pleasure. Because if we develop such a methodology, such education, such upbringing, and such public opinion on the importance of finding the meaning of life, and we find this meaning and further develop it and advertise it everywhere (maybe even impose it), then, of course, our life will find true meaning. It is worth giving all the money in the world for this.

It is because while a person is young, he runs and rushes. Then, when he is mature, he rushes to somehow arrange his life.

When he is old, he rushes not to get sick and suffer less. Then he is done, he drops his hands and waits… The tired one leaves.

Question: And here, he is young all the time. In a constant search for the meaning of life.

The key question is what is it—the meaning of life?

Answer: The meaning of life is to know the eternity of the world.

Question: When you say “the eternity of the world,” what kind of world do you mean? What is the eternity of the world? I see this world. But what kind of world do you say is eternal?

Answer: I am talking about the eternity of the existence of the soul of man.

Question: Do you mean we need to stick to it?

Michael Laitman, On Quora: “Can we learn from Jews how to unite?“

There was once a hefty dispute between David Ben-Gurion and Moshe Sharet. Sharet said, “What will the nations say?” And Ben-Gurion answered: “It doesn’t matter what the nations will say. What’s important is what the Jews will do.”

I agree with Ben-Gurion’s statement, but on condition that the Jews truly desire to achieve unity. No nation or other opinion would then matter to us. We would prioritize our unity over everything else.

The Jews have the ability to bring the condition of living in unity to the world. It is also why we are widely hated and blamed for being evil. There is a common feeling toward us that we host some kind of foundation, a force that can benefit the world, but which we keep to ourselves.

Despite Jews’ disproportionate success in fields such as science, medicine and technology, for instance, the disproportionate amount of Nobel Peace Prizes that Jews receive, we see that it leads to no special love for the Jews.

The Jewish people need to bring wholeness, love and unity to the world, and if we fail to do so, then nothing else we do counts.

In short, it is important that we unite and spread unity to the world through our example and teaching, so that everyone will know that their good future depends solely on unity. We will then all witness in practice what it means to be a “light unto the nations.”

The main thing at the congress is to open our hearts. After all, the congress is a gathering of hearts in order to correct the broken heart of Adam HaRishon, the common world soul we all are a part of. Therefore we need to try to feel how far we are from each other in our hearts.

The heart is everything that is in a person—all his desires and thoughts. Exactly these desires for fulfillment are what we must connect with each other, and try to feel the other, which will mean that we are connected.

To the extent that we love others as ourselves, we will begin to feel the force that disappeared from us during the shattering of the soul, the sin of Adam HaRishon. We will connect our hearts above our egoistic desires to correct this system and begin to feel the Creator again. In our common heart will reign one single and special upper force—the Creator, besides which there is nothing.

This is the purpose of our life and existence, the purpose of creating all worlds and all nature. The progress in this direction, feelings and thoughts related to the process of revealing the system of the Creator and the Creator Himself inside it altogether is called the opening of the heart.

When the heart opens, we begin to feel how spiritual organs are born and grow within us, as in any developing living body: brain, heart, liver, arms, legs, and so on. We will feel how we act with all parts of the heart to the extent that we want to connect them into one system. As from a drop of semen developing in the mother’s womb, so from our tiny inner desire for unity, connection, and mutuality, a special being will begin to develop within the upper force of the Creator.

To the extent that we can unite with each other and connect with the Creator, we will feel ourselves existing in one body, in one Creator, as parts of this common body, which are called friends. We will grow like cells of a living body, and feel our connection with each other and interdependence. As far as one can bestow to another, and the other to the third one, spreading further and further, we will build our one common body.

Imagine billions of tiny desires, each of which develops not by itself but due to connection with other desires, and so it grows, feeling its purpose and purpose of development.

By building ourselves in this way, we build the attainment of the Creator; we begin to understand who He is, how He dresses in us, and how to come closer to Him. From here it becomes clear how important each friend is, which enhances our power of resolve in attaining the Creator. Each friend brings me closer to the Creator, adds more and more attainment as if increasing the zoom and adding another hundred, a thousand, tens of thousands of new details that combine into one picture.

Then I clearly see the picture of the upper world and my attitude toward everyone. I see all the movements of everyone, their thoughts and intentions and all the changes taking place in them. I recognize in them one force, one upper root, which by awakening everyone in this way, speaks to me.

Thus, from the love for the created beings, we attain love for the Creator and begin to get acquainted with one single reality. It all starts with the connection of hearts.

Question: Let’s say we go to the cave Idra Raba where The Book of Zohar was written. What should be our intention?

Answer: The Book of Zohar is a special book of Kabbalah that describes absolutely all connections between souls that they must restore in order to fully ascend to the degree of the Creator.

This is what a person should do in this life, in this world—reveal our complete interconnection for himself and thus become similar to the Creator. This is what we should strive for.

Question: So, the thought of unity there, in this place, adds something to a person?

Answer: Of course! If I want to come to this place and somehow connect to the spiritual force reigning there, then of course this should help me.

I remember our trips there with my teacher Rabash, and what an impression they made on me. Today it is no longer so because from any place on earth I can connect to any upper source. But then, it was the only opportunity for me. Therefore, I strongly advise our friends or guests, do not miss this opportunity.

Answer: There is no need for this, not in any way. Today this will only cause an even bigger surge in the search for witches.

Question: What is the correct attitude to all this?

Answer: It would be to open people’s eyes to what it was and to the fact that it cannot happen again, now. We had to go through all this.

Question: And the attitude to today’s witchcraft, twisting sticks, and so on, what should it be?

Answer: There is no right attitude to anything at all in the world! Not to religions, these wands, or spells, or the search for something with twigs. There are thousands of everything.

Question: What is the right attitude to this? Practically the world stands on these superstitions and rumors.

Answer: Yes, the world is always looking, seeking. Because the world is based on the fact that it knows nothing about itself. What is it for, why, where to? How are we managed? Who is in charge, what forces? Nobody knows.

Question: Is it poking back and forth because it is in the dark?

Answer: Yes, it is trying to find support, but there is none.

The world must reveal the purpose, the methodology, and the system of our existence. In fact, why are we? What is happening to us? How can we lift ourselves above this everyday philistinism? Still, to look at this world from above, somehow to orient yourself in it after all. Not to run after some superstitions and, in general, the antics of all sorts of crooks and witches.

Question: What exactly should it reveal?

Answer: The methodology of managing our world. Our world is governed by absolute goodness. We are in a quality opposite to this good. Therefore, we must somehow correct ourselves in order to see this good, to see this goal. And then we can transform our world correctly.

Question: What is good?

Answer: Good is the absolute mutual assistance of everyone to everyone.

Question: Do the specifics of our dissemination matter, for example, if they are books or pamphlets, audio, or video? Or is there no difference?

Answer: Of course there is a difference because a person receives the most information through a video sequence with sound, music, and all the colors.

We can see where the development is going so that everything is as similar as possible to the picture of the world, which includes all our perceptions. Perhaps over time we will be able to transmit smells and tactile sensations, i.e., a complete picture of the world.

Let’s say, I am sitting in a room right now, a cool breeze is blowing from the sea. I feel myself, my body. If I did not have tactile sensations, I would not feel the body at all. The chair I am sitting in… I perceive everything around me: sounds, rustles, smells.

Vision, of course, allows us to perceive information and so on. This is what we must strive for in our mutual actions.

Question: Not so long ago, in one of the clips, you said that one of the indicators of the movement toward correction would be the disappearance of borders between countries. It seems that this was not said at the right time because the cry began: “We want reinforced concrete borders between our countries! Up to the sky, so that everything is tightly closed.”

This was written by some. Others wrote that this is fantasy, that this would not happen. Still, others wrote that Europe has removed its borders, but it is not showing that they are moving toward correction. In general, there were a lot of comments.

Will the borders ever fall? When it will happen, what will it be?

Answer: Only if they will fall in the hearts of people!

Comment: It is a winning answer, actually.

My Response: It is impossible to disagree with this theoretically and it is impossible to agree practically.

Question: Do you link this directly?

Answer: Only in this case will this have a chance to be realized.

Question: What is it? What will my feelings for the other be then?

Answer: There are just no borders and that’s it.

Question: So, I have no fear of him, and I do not demand anything from him?

Answer: Absolutely nothing and in no way. Let’s say we live on one staircase landing, and there are a million doors, and all the doors are open. That’s it.

Comment: Once there was such a thing here in kibbutzim, and even earlier in villages. The doors were open, people were walking in. And now, as you keep saying, the ego has twisted us so much that we can’t.

My Response: We can’t, we can’t be close to each other at all. Egoism has been growing for many, many years, hundreds and thousands of years, until it reached such a state that if it were not for technology, education, upbringing, and the media that connect us, say whatever you will, then, of course, we would have eaten up each other long ago.

For now, we still somehow understand each other and subconsciously feel that it will be bad for me, it will be bad for you, and so on. This calculation goes inside us, and therefore we are not some thoughtless, greedy animals but with a good egoistic calculation.

Question: What needs to happen for us to decide that we need to slowly remove these fences between the hearts?

Answer: This should be a very serious calculation. Let’s say the state would set such a task that every citizen receives, say, $1,000 a month if he does something good in connection with others.

This is regulation from above our egoism. And then we will agree to some egoistic concessions.

Although, in principle, this is encouraging egoism. But, on the other hand, it would lead to some understanding of how a kind attitude can be useful. Therefore, it is necessary to buy people.

Question: You think that if we pay when a person does a good deed, at some point, something will click, and what will he say: “I don’t need money, this makes me feel good.” Could it be?

Answer: They will come to this, of course. Gradually.

Question: So, egoism leads us to such a decision one way or another?

Answer: Yes, but not to the complete abolition of egoism. This is already from above.

Question: So, the borders will fall sooner or later? Do you have any doubts about that?

Answer: I think that, of course, not today and not tomorrow, but yes, it will happen.

Question: Is this when a person will be able to trust another and be open to another? Only in this case?

Answer: But this is the final correction. And we are talking about people at least understanding not to do bad to another because it will come back to you.

Question: Tell me, please, in such countries, which, let’s say, slowly remove their borders, should the army exist?

Answer: The army will exist until the very end.

How can you be certain of others? You can’t be sure of yourself. The army will exist until the very end.

Question: Will their money exist? Or will they switch to a single currency?

Answer: It doesn’t matter if it’s unified or not. It’s like in Europe.

Question: But will money exist in a corrected society?

Answer: Yes.

Question: So, one way or another the upper force leads us to such a world?

Answer: Yes. It will lead us to it.
