How Were The Twelve Tribes Created?

laitman_749_02Why was the nation of Israel divided into twelve tribes? The fact is that there is a four-letter (Yod, Hey, Vav, Hey) or four phase development of the desire. The Light that generates the desire leads it through these four phases, the last of which is egoistic.

It turns out that there are four phases in our soul, and if I feel something, it means that I have been through the previous phases of development, and I already feel their revelation inside me.

Moreover, the spiritual work is done in three lines: right, left, and middle.

The right line is altruism, the attribute of love and bestowal. The left line is egoism. And I am in the middle line because I must take out of the left line only the egoistic desires that can be corrected and incorporated in the right line and put them together in the middle.

The four phases multiplied by three lines make twelve parts, which are the twelve tribes, twelve major attributes that make up the general soul.

None of us has a soul because the soul can be only general and common, one for all. If we connect in it, we will acquire it, one and all.

The Solution To Terror, Part 2–Cross National Education Not Utopia

laitman_263Question: How do you intend to unite the people if 40% of those living in Israel believe in the coming of the Messiah, 40% believe that we can reach a peace agreement with Iran, ISIS, and the Palestinians, and 20% hate us and dream of throwing us into the sea? Is it utopian to think some unity can be achieved here?

Answer: Of course, unity is not possible with the split that exists among the people and within each individual. And so we say that “love covers all transgressions”—this value will be the foundation of a new nation-wide education.

We accept people the way they are, without any suppression. It is only through education with explanations that ensure they understand that we need to unite above all our differences. It is very good that the nation of Israel isn’t a gray amorphous mass and that it has many currents and opinions.

People are boiling and seething with hatred and anger, and we shouldn’t extinguish or gloss over these feelings as other methods do. Over all these differences, we need to learn how to build a strong, reciprocal connection that is, in practice, love.

Although you hate those around you for some reason, you must love them. We need to learn how to integrate with one another and build within ourselves love instead of hate: love of others, of the Creator, and of yourself.

Thus we connect the two worlds. We hate anything that doesn’t belong to our “I,” and therefore we have to start connecting to what is opposite to us. In this way we build a vessel for attaining the upper world.

It is impossible to make everyone like you so that you would feel comfortable with connecting to them. You need to love others not because they are similar to you, but because you have a common goal to be one nation, to defeat your enemies, to find a solution for life.

How can we attain such unity above our egoism? There is the method of working in circles, where we can create a special force that doesn’t exist in each of us separately.

But if we connect and unite according to certain laws Kabbalists have prepared for us, then we create the force of unity between us despite our differences. This force helps us attain unity above hatred and to cover all the sins with love.

How Will The Next Generation Look?

Laitman_049_02Question: From the point of view of Kabbalah, what will become of the current younger generation that is growing up in an atmosphere of violence and terrorism?

Answer: I hope that though our efforts, and I say this with complete responsibility and great hope, this generation will be wiser than their parents.

They will understand that there is no other way out of the present situation but uniting and creating a powerful force between us that will affect the whole world. This is what we can do.

Imagine any other people now, for example, in Switzerland or in Finland, where everything seems to be fine. I was there not long ago and I know their lives first hand. They are in an inner state of subconscious waiting.

Immediately after the Second World War was a time when the peoples of the world secretly hoped that we would bring good to the world. But from the 70s of the last century their attitude to us began to change.

They understood that we want to be like all other peoples, and that we aren’t exerting a positive influence on them, denying them a quiet, tranquil life. Anti-Semitism is growing, and has begun pressure Israel. And today you are wondering about it.

If we look back five years, there wasn’t yet such a boycott from the United Nations and other international organizations. In Israel we were fed “candy,” lulled by what doesn’t exist. In fact, the world has risen up against us.

And all this comes from the upper management! We need to understand that this force is behind all of nature, so the imbalance between people is caused by us and directed against us. It is a system of forces, and not some kind of single entity called God that decided something. I say this as an investigator of nature.

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: Does Kabbalah teach the correct attitude to all kinds of events occur during the day?

Answer: Kabbalah does not teach how to navigate your way in this life, but how to find the entrance to the upper world, to identify where the door is that I will open in order to enter it.

Question: What if I’m interested in corporeal life? Let’s say I have a problem with the bank.

Answer: Kabbalah deals with the upper management and helps a person to create such signals to our world that then his life in this world will also start to change.

The method helps us to pass from our world to the next higher state. It depends how we use this method. Someone uses the wisdom of Kabbalah from the top down, and some from the bottom up. But most important is that we direct the connection to the upper management that engages in our world and also the spiritual world.

Question: And who arranges our physical problems?

Answer: We are talking about the overall management system, and if you attain it, you will see how you are surrounded, managed, and with this you will understand how to manage it yourself.

A person begins to understand what the essence of his or her free choice is, and where one is enslaved. He discovers that until this moment, in fact, he had no free choice in life; all his movements were compelled; he was completely programmed.

But now, he can exit from this slavery to freedom, to the extent he begins to recognize, understand, and realize the highest management program. He begins to connect with it to merge, and to enter it as a free element, as a factor in the equation.

And all his problems in material life: the choice of a profession, the country of residence, a life partner, etc. will be resolved by themselves.

A completely different system of values will appear in him that will change his plans.
