Question: How can I relate to the friends like to the Creator and turn my criticism to love?

Answer: There is no logical answer here because the Upper Light performs all the changes in you. Just as now you don’t love the friend, you will begin to love him under the influence of the Upper Light.

We have to ask for that. You have many questions for which there is only one answer: the Upper Light and its effect. This is the whole method: “I have created the evil inclination; I have created the Torah as a spice,” in order to correct the evil inclination.

The Torah is called Light, which fills all of creation each time you can produce the amount of Light that you think is essential for the revealed correction of your ego. There is nothing but that. There is no other remedy but the Upper Light.

When I speak about the effect of the Upper Light, I mean that as a result of our efforts, our intensive search, and the different events we go through, we suddenly begin to feel mutually, we begin to feel that the Light is near. You receive feelings that you never had before and thus you feel that it is the result of the influence of the Upper Light.

Question: In what way can unity and connection, about which you are always talking to the people of Israel, protect us from the enemies? In what way will it be different from every other unity if there is also unity among the people of Hamas?

Answer: The power of unity in Hamas is as in the Mafia that bands together for a common goal, a struggle with a common enemy, to jointly strike and kill it, to steal from it. This is an egoistic and limited power.

Here the second force is not present, only the ego is at work, but it becomes more uncompromising and unlimited. In this way a powerful and harmful unity is created.

Question: Who does it harm?

Answer: It harms everyone because it is evil in its nature.

But if the people of Israel connect with the help of the wisdom of Kabbalah, then it will generate the power of connection and unity from nature that is hidden within it. So it is impossible to get along here without the wisdom of Kabbalah.

This power is instinctively found in the still, vegetative and animate nature. Without it, the atoms, the molecules, living organisms, and the human body would not evolve.

But among us humans in human society, this power of connection doesn’t work. Therefore, all of humanity is searching for it. The example of this is the failed European union. They have not succeeded in creating a united Europe.

Everything is beginning to break down again on the threshold of World War III. In such conditions, anti-Semitism has grown more and more because the Jews have the key to connection; it is possible to attain unity with the help of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The difference is in this, that we generate the power of connection and unity from nature, not through expanding our ego. This is not a unity of egoists who bring one big egoism; rather, it is something else entirely. We are united to discover the power of love among us. This power doesn’t harm anyone; it is not directed against someone. On the contrary, it wants to bring good to the entire world.

If we are searching for this power, then we find it, just as Abraham found it for his group of students that were gathered by him from among the Babylonians and became the people of Israel. In this manner, the same “collection of refugees” that we have today in our nation will become the people of Israel.

There is unifying force, which is directed against the rest of the world when some group wants to take control of the world: for example, to establish Islam everywhere. This force is harmful to everyone who is not part of this criminal alliance. And there is a positive unifying force power that is for the good of the world. After all, we want to find this power and transfer it for the benefit of all of humanity.

Question: Why do you think that the positive power of unity that we are creating in Israel can be victorious over the negative power of unity that links the entire Islamic world?

Answer: The power of unity that we are generating from our connection with the help of the method of Kabbalah is the higher power. Through it, we rise to the next level, which is above our earthly life. Plus and minus, egoism and love, balance each other, and within their relationship we feel a new life, a spiritual life.

In this way we acquire an immense spiritual force that is incomparable in its intensity to the egoistic force of our enemies.

Question: There is no spiritual force in their unity?

Answer: That is a power of hatred towards everything else. There cannot be anything spiritual in it.

The Torah, “Leviticus” (Acharei), 16:1-16:2: And the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of Aaron’s two sons, when they drew near before the Lord, and they died. And the Lord said to Moses: “Speak to your brother Aaron, that he should not come at all times into the Holy, within the dividing curtain, in front of the cover that is upon the ark, so that he should not die, for I appear over the ark cover in a cloud.”

“When they drew near before the Lord, and they died” means that their attributes and actions were equal to the level of the Creator, and when they saw that they could not use them, they annulled them.

“That he should not come at all times into the Holy” means that not at any state. Time is a state; in spirituality there is no time. There are no heavenly bodies, like in the corporeal world, that determine day and night and years. Therefore, this expression refers to the fact that one can get close to the Creator only when he is in an accurate equivalence of form with Him.

Question: What is the meaning of “curtain” and the “cloud?”

Answer: The ark itself is the attribute of Bina that is total bestowal. Above it, there is only the attribute of love. The appearance of the Creator takes place in the attribute of bestowal. It creates the attribute of concealment by itself since, if I want to bestow, it means that I don’t want to receive anything, not even the outcome of my actions.

Thus, if I really work in order to bestow, it makes no difference what I receive for my bestowal. I only want to bestow, without getting anything in return.

In the end it turns out that nothing remains but to work in concealment. When I conceal myself, the Creator comes close to me. If I discover my attributes by wanting to receive something as a result, He draws away from me. Everything is exactly according to the formula of equivalence of form. He is complete bestowal and I am complete reception. To the extent that I can establish the attribute of bestowal inside me as well, we get closer.

So, getting close to the screen (Masach) that conceals everything is possible only when you constantly establish the attribute of bestowal inside you and become more and more similar to the general attribute of love and bestowal, to the Creator. Therefore, it is written, “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” which is equal to the concept “I am the Creator, HaVaYaH.”

Question: What can I do if the fear of losing my individuality doesn’t allow me to connect and unite with the friends?

Answer: Individuality is a natural state of the ego. All of its existence, all of its power, is in this.

However, when I am involved with spiritual work, I don’t lose my individuality. On the contrary, I multiply it by the intensity of the group with which I am connected. This is because I discover myself by way of the group. I take from the group, dissolving into it.

The idea is that the desire to receive doesn’t disappear anywhere. It is elevated all the time, and I only correct it for the right usage. It grows and grows all the time, as it is written, “Everyone who is greater than his friend, his inclination is greater” (Talmud Babyli, Sukkah 52a).

So, the wisdom of Kabbalah is called the method of reception. I work with the same ego only this time it is a naked desire that is not designed for egoistic usage. So, I don’t nullify myself but only the ego, the intention to receive for myself, and the desire itself remains. I begin to use it correctly. I understand that I could not use it at all before this.

Think about how much can we use our ego in regard to the world? Suppose that I want people to disappear and the world to exist only for me. I want the sun to shine only from six until seven in the morning, and after that it would be evening all the time because I love the evening, it’s quiet and tranquil. What an ego.

So, to what degree can I fully use the ego in my life? A tiny fraction, one billionth of a percent. I don’t know how much and what I can change egoistically. In fact, it is nothing.

However, here, I have been given an unlimited possibility of using those desires, not in an egoistic style, but in an altruistic style with its full intensity plus the intensity of all of humanity, something that multiplies my desire many times, and so I become equal to the Creator because, in relation to me, all of humanity is the intensity of the Creator.

Question: Let’s take a look at the moment of the creation of the Jewish nation and join Abraham’s group which left Babylon and moved towards the Land of Israel according to the principle of love thy neighbor as thyself. Have all these people already ascended to the spiritual level or has only their leader attained spirituality?

Answer: The whole nation knew what was going on and they felt the inner changes. But on the whole, their mutual connection wasn’t on such a high egoistic level yet so that the Upper Light that brings the inner attainment could be revealed in it. They only had general illuminations.

We can compare this to our level: to what extent does a rock, a flower, a rabbit, and man feel life? They all feel some sort of existence. It is hard to judge on the level of the still nature.

The vegetative does, however, feel life somehow. The animate level already has to move in order to establish a state of balance with the environment, and on this level, life is felt to a greater extent. A human being feels life even much more strongly.

It is the same here: When they came out of Babylon they were like the still nature of the spiritual creation. Then when they gathered and went down to Egypt they entered the next level of the ego, which by correcting it they began to feel their existence on the level of the vegetative.

This means that the spiritual reality is already felt by a person as life or death. The revelation of the Creator, as the sun from behind the clouds, and its light is life-giving and gives me the day that attracts me. I may also fall into night, and sink into a state of depression, etc.

Today, the whole world is in a state of depression, which means that people already begin to feel they lack something. They will be able to fill themselves and to replace the feeling of depression with positive feelings if the Light illuminates for them a little. The Light is the revelation of the Creator.

This is what Abraham’s students felt after the exodus from Egypt. They felt very clearly that they had to reveal the Creator since without that they would not be able to connect. In other words, their ego had grown so much that only the Creator that is revealed among them can help them overcome it. Gradually the group of Abraham turned into the group of Moses, and this state grew increasingly stronger in it.

It says in The Book of Zohar that Moses asked the Creator for mercy after the death of Aaron’s sons: …if those living in this world will repent and return to You, who will bless them? The Creator answered him: “You are telling Me that? Tell that to your brother Aaron, since he has been trusted with the blessing Above and below, since he is the element of attaining mercy.”

The point is that the contact with the Creator occurs through the attribute called a priest (Aaron) in a person.

A blessing is the descent of the Upper Light in order to correct a person. The Light can only go through Aaron the priest, which means through this hierarchy. It cannot be any other way. It is impossible to come in contact with the Creator any other way.

Question: During the work in an “aquarium,” from our perspective, the married couples were completely rediscovered. Their arrival and departure had an immense influence on dissemination and group relationships.

Both partners in every couple carried out their activities like “trucks” in comparison to “bicycles.” How much of this is a perspective? Is it worthwhile to nurture this, or the opposite, is it preferable to suppress it?

Answer: We are now moving into a very serious conflict, not even a conflict, but continuous crisis and difficulty in familial relationships. It will continue until people will completely lose attraction to married life, not maintaining sexual relationships, what is called a “family,” or taking mutual obligations into account: education for children, common housekeeping, etc. The ego will not let a person submit to any of those foundations, and we are seeing how all this is collapsing.

And after this a serious reversal will happen. People will begin to understand that to attain spirituality there is no partner more faithful and close than a husband or wife: He or she, will build a spiritual connection only on a basis of spiritual ascent. Specifically this, and their mutual acceptance will determine their relationships, the love between one another. Their dream will be the appearance of a spiritual baby among them, meaning the discovery of the Creator.

I hope that now we will begin to pass through this breaking point in humanity and then a spiritual attitude towards marriage will appear among us. Currently, it is possible only to dream about a situation like this. I don’t think that today this is an actuality among us.

We are still searching and running around with a lack of understanding, with a “lack of order” between outside and inside. We have not yet established the collective illumination of Light that would show us that specifically the first nucleus, which is not social but spiritual, is prepared between a man and a woman.

It could very well be that today there are couples who can cooperate mutually like this, but in general this is very difficult. We have not yet reached this level because we are in stages which are torn apart by the ego. In the meantime, we have no awareness that the truest, most spiritual and closest partner, where there are no secrets, is your husband or wife.

I don’t know how much time will be required for this. At present, humanity is passing through more difficult situations than familial problems. Today the question of freedom in Africa generates more interest than family matters. Very gradually we will reach this, too.

Question: Does the birth of the next level need to be performed only in the evening or at night?

Answer: The correct union of man and woman is done in the state of “night.”

That is a spiritual state, not a physical one because when they don’t see the next level, their actions are only altruistic and intentions are directed only for bestowal without any connection to themselves. I don’t see anything before me, I only bestow. And that is called “night.”

Comment: Everything is distorted in our world!

Answer: No. We need to see through the corporeal actions to their inner meanings, thus they are interpreted very simply.

Question: Do the desires of a woman in our world constantly need to be aimed at giving birth to the next level?

Answer: We are not speaking about our world. Our entire world is under the egoistic desire and there is nothing that is aimed at spiritual actions or to correction.

Our world is our world, and we, as if, speak about spiritual actions that are aimed only at bestowal and at executing the law of “love thy neighbor as yourself,” which is the entire Torah. Thus, all actions need to somehow realize this one and only law.

What is the connection here with self-enjoyment that men and women receive in this world? There is no relation between the two. It is a regular, physiological function like sleeping, eating, etc.

And here we speak about spiritual actions from your desires that are within you. Through the discovery of the huge system of the mutual connection between souls, you aim these desires to bestowal, to love, since you are already in contact with these souls and it is specifically to them that you transfer your actions.

Thus there is no connection to our physiological relations that come from the corporeal level.

Comment: But you always say that by attaining the upper state, the connection of the male desire that is born from the Light and the female desire to receive the Light and to give birth to the next level, it is possible to look at our world and to understand what is happening in it.

Answer: In our world everything is done in parallel to the spiritual world, only that it is from pure egoistic desire. And actions basically resemble spiritual acts, only in matter and not in the spirit, when they are aimed at bestowal.
