The New Reality Is Not A Utopia, But A Law Of Nature

A question I received: The world you describe sounds like a utopia. Even if a person wants to work for the benefit of others, he will still worry that he’s being exploited.

My Answer: I’m not talking about a utopia.  I’m just proposing that people begin to see that we live in a new, interconnected world.

Are you familiar with the laws of an integral world? Ask any scientist about how a closed system operates, the harmony that exists there, and the program by which all of the system’s parts should interact.

Nature does not demand that we reach perfect harmony with it and with one another immediately. Instead, Nature is now influencing us in order to awaken us from our sleep. And it is offering us an opportunity to investigate further into this matter.

Throughout a child’s first 20 years of life, the child goes through a preparation stage in order to learn how to lead a correct and conscious life in this world. Can we abandon him in this great big world if he hasn’t yet learned the laws by which the world operates? Of course not. This is why we have kindergartens, schools, universities and so forth. And all of this is just for him to understand the old world, which we all know already.

Today we are all like children. This is why it is important to start by educating mankind. Up until now, mankind has been taught how to live in a world governed by the law of profit, which states: maximum gain with minimal effort. Today, however, the old law of Nature has been replaced by a new law – the law of interconnection. This means that we exist in one system, and therefore you cannot have it better than me, and when one of us suffers, we both suffer.

This is why you must learn this system of interconnection and adopt new behavioral models. Only then will you be prepared for life in this new world. And it isn’t just you: today, the whole world must undergo this learning process.

The Period Of Egoistic Exchange Has Ended

The current crisis has reached a level where our egoistic detachment from one other is at its peak, and it does not allow us to make any collective actions. Today we are even incapable of making an exchange, where we give something and receive something in return. That is, we are not even capable of giving in order to receive.

I cannot deposit my money in the bank and get it back, I cannot work for someone and receive my salary, an owner of one business cannot sell his product to another and make a profit. This kind of mutual exchange no longer works!

This is why we will have to shift to an attitude of care for others. This is the only way that everyone will be able to get everything they need for a comfortable existence.

We used to live in a world where we could receive without consideration for others, without giving anything in return, or in other words – to steal. The entire history of our civilization over millennia is a history of exchange and interaction, as it says in the Bible, “Go and earn from each other.”

Today, however, this period of egoistic exchange has ended. You cannot receive nor give for the sake of receiving anymore. But then how can we exist? What should we do?

Humanity has not realized its new state yet. People still do not understand that the old regulators are gone, and that from now on everyone will be able to live only by being completely interconnected with the world. This is the condition of the global, integral world. This condition is called “mutual guarantee.”

People will attain prosperity only through others, depending on how kindly they will think of others, and on how much they desire to give to others. This is what today’s crisis is pushing us toward.

When Egoism Knows No Bounds

A question I received: How is our growing ego connected to the things we read about in the news every day: “father rapes daughter,” “teacher molests her students” and so on?

My Answer: The news tells us of only a small portion of what actually happens. A lot of it is passed over in silence. For years people have been coming to see me about their personal problems, and every year they speak more openly about the things they could not mention before. They have revealed inner impulses, desires, thoughts, disorders and deviations that were never before revealed on such a grand scale and of such quality.

All of this is caused by our ever-growing, egoistic desire to receive pleasure. This desire will grow bigger and bigger, and there is nothing we can do about it. The only thing we can do is begin to correct it.

We are now seeing the entire “thickness” of our egoistic desire, which separates us from the Creator and weighs us down. This is called the aggravation of the exile, concealment, or separation from spirituality. And it will go on until we become such monsters that we won’t be able to stand ourselves.

This evil must be revealed either though action or through the realization of egoism. The latter can be done through upbringing or education. A person can only be corrected by revealing the evil inside himself, by feeling that his egoism is evil and detrimental to him. Only then will a person be able to correct the evil that he does onto others.

True Freedom Is Not What We Think

A question I received: On one hand, we say that the whole world depends on my correction and I carry the burden of all the responsibility. On the other hand, my future depends on the others – I will not have a good life until everyone else is corrected. Thus, the responsibility lies upon others. Which of these two views is correct?

My Answer: Both are correct. This is the essence of a closed, interconnected system. It is much like a situation where your child can do anything he wants to you, influencing you through his feelings, health, and mood.

By acquiring love for others, you become their slave. Love makes you a slave. You may object, “This doesn’t sound like freedom at all.” But it is: being dependent on everyone else frees you from yourself. You then think only about their desires. This is spirituality, the world to come, and true freedom.

The New Generation – A Definition

A question I received: What do you mean when you say “the new generation”?

My Answer: The new generation is the next level of humanity’s development. It is when humanity will transition from the animate, egoistic, or instinctive level, where we try to regulate our instinctive, animate, egoistic desires lest we eat each other alive (and by the way, this is what we call human society, or our civilization). We will transition from this to a civilization where everything will be regulated by love for one’s neighbor.

Russia’s Water Shortage – A Consequence Of The World’s Interdependency

In the News (translated from BFM.ru): Due to lack of spring rains this year, the Western part of Russia may experience a water shortage. This will lead to problems with river navigation and will affect the field irrigation systems.

My Comment: Who could have imagined that such a huge country would have a water shortage? But Nature’s global law is implacable: everyone suffers regardless of their conformity or disparity with this law. The whole world is like one body, and if any of its organs is sick, the entire body suffers.

Russia takes advantage of its natural resources, including oil and gas, selling them to the whole world. However, according to the laws of the integral, unified world, these resources belong to everyone. Therefore, trying to profit from them will only bring harm.

It Is Time To Clean the World Of Hatred

If the G20 Summit, which was held at the beginning of April, had reached a decision aimed at unification, or even partial unity, if the G20 had accepted the need for a global education and for creating a strong global system that would explain the cause and the solution to the crisis – then just by doing this, they would have begun to correct the world. This has to be done gradually, using the mass media, in order to change people’s relationships with each other, amend the legislation, and so on.

All the changes should happen by people’s concept, and they should come with elaborate explanations for the masses. For example, why are all the programs that propagate animosity and coercion being taken off the air? The connection between us requires us to eliminate all the things that bring about detachment, separation, hatred, and distancing between everyone. This is what we mean by education.

Don’t Believe Everything Will Work Out Without Your Participation

A question I received: Many people relate to all of life’s ills by the principle, “Just smile and all will pass,” meaning everything will work out in the end. Does this mean that these people will never come out of their egoism?

My Answer: This kind of approach is destructive. One thinks that if he smiles like an idiot, everything will work out. He expects things to work out not because of his efforts and work, but just like that, all by itself.

Where does this attitude come from? From the fact that people don’t have anything in life, yet they already know that there’s nothing that can be done about it. They feel that everything is determined by blind fate, and this means that everything should work out somehow. So they think: You can’t really change anything, but at least you can smile like an idiot.

This approach diverts a person from action, from freedom of choice, and from correction. And this is why it is destructive.

We Can Stop Cheating Each Other By Building A Pipeline For The Light

A question I received: If my egoism has become global, does that mean I depend on everyone else?

My Answer: Your dependence on others means that if you don’t act for the sake of benefiting everyone, you will never succeed. Suppose I am a taxi driver. I pick up a passenger, drive him to wherever he needs to go, overcharge him twice the actual amount he owes me, conceal this money from the tax collectors and put it straight into my pocket. It’s all mine! But in the end, I see that somehow I don’t get to keep any of this money! I don’t know where it all went or why, but that’s just what happens.

Suddenly, I’m surrounded with problems: the bank cheated me, something’s not going right with the wife and the kids, my health is deteriorating, and everything else is going wrong. I’m faced with a thousand different problems and misfortunes. Whatever I do, and no matter how much money passes through my hands, none of it is any good.

Thus, people must understand that by continuing to act the way they do, they are simply killing themselves. And it’s not easy to explain to people that no matter what they do, they must always consider everyone else as well. This is so because we’ve entered a whole new world, where we cannot keep cheating the way we used to cheat the tax authorities or the taxi passengers, in the above example. We will then see that what we have to cheat are our egoistic bodies, because they don’t allow us to act in consideration of others.

Can you imagine what an enormous transition we must all go through? It can only be done by means of education, which will explain that we’re living in a new world and must abide by this new law. And if we don’t, we condemn ourselves, our families, our relatives and the entire world to suffering.

Therefore, society must begin to create these education systems. They may appear as mere education systems, meant to explain these concepts, but in fact, they will be connected to the Light – the only force that is able to correct our desires. It is our uncorrected desires that continually make us go back to our old ways, tricking us to act this way even when we want to be different already, to bestow to others. In order to correct these desires, we need a methodology that is connected to the Light and that will allow us to channel this Light toward us. It’s like laying a pipeline that enables electricity to get to the consumers, to reach into every home.

Choosing The Right Environment Is Our Only Choice

Two questions I received on work in the group:

Question: You said we should feel inspired by the group even when we know this inspiration is artificial. Could you clarify?

My Answer: Because a person is a created being, his essence is the general will to receive pleasure. One’s environment tells him what he should be feeling pleasure from, and the environment transmits this influence onto a person through education and advertisement. These create a value system inside the person.

This is why our only freedom of will lies in choosing what environment will tell us what we must enjoy in this life. The enjoyment can be of two types:

1. Of this world, where one desires to attain things in this world
2. Of the Upper World, where one desires to reveal the Light and become fulfilled by It

You decide which is right for you. (For more on this, see Item 4 of “Introduction to Talmud Eser Sefirot.”)

Question: Do I have the right to demand from the group a display of the importance of the goal, or is the group there for me to display the importance of the goal to them?

My Answer: You can demand it, but this relationship has to be mutual!
