True Freedom Is Not What We Think

upper-worldA question I received: On one hand, we say that the whole world depends on my correction and I carry the burden of all the responsibility. On the other hand, my future depends on the others – I will not have a good life until everyone else is corrected. Thus, the responsibility lies upon others. Which of these two views is correct?

My Answer: Both are correct. This is the essence of a closed, interconnected system. It is much like a situation where your child can do anything he wants to you, influencing you through his feelings, health, and mood.

By acquiring love for others, you become their slave. Love makes you a slave. You may object, “This doesn’t sound like freedom at all.” But it is: being dependent on everyone else frees you from yourself. You then think only about their desires. This is spirituality, the world to come, and true freedom.

The New Generation – A Definition

profitA question I received: What do you mean when you say “the new generation”?

My Answer: The new generation is the next level of humanity’s development. It is when humanity will transition from the animate, egoistic, or instinctive level, where we try to regulate our instinctive, animate, egoistic desires lest we eat each other alive (and by the way, this is what we call human society, or our civilization). We will transition from this to a civilization where everything will be regulated by love for one’s neighbor.

Russia’s Water Shortage – A Consequence Of The World’s Interdependency

priestIn the News (translated from BFM.ru): Due to lack of spring rains this year, the Western part of Russia may experience a water shortage. This will lead to problems with river navigation and will affect the field irrigation systems.

My Comment: Who could have imagined that such a huge country would have a water shortage? But Nature’s global law is implacable: everyone suffers regardless of their conformity or disparity with this law. The whole world is like one body, and if any of its organs is sick, the entire body suffers.

Russia takes advantage of its natural resources, including oil and gas, selling them to the whole world. However, according to the laws of the integral, unified world, these resources belong to everyone. Therefore, trying to profit from them will only bring harm.

It Is Time To Clean the World Of Hatred

why-do-we-see-such-a-diverse-worldIf the G20 Summit, which was held at the beginning of April, had reached a decision aimed at unification, or even partial unity, if the G20 had accepted the need for a global education and for creating a strong global system that would explain the cause and the solution to the crisis – then just by doing this, they would have begun to correct the world. This has to be done gradually, using the mass media, in order to change people’s relationships with each other, amend the legislation, and so on.

All the changes should happen by people’s concept, and they should come with elaborate explanations for the masses. For example, why are all the programs that propagate animosity and coercion being taken off the air? The connection between us requires us to eliminate all the things that bring about detachment, separation, hatred, and distancing between everyone. This is what we mean by education.

Don’t Believe Everything Will Work Out Without Your Participation

our-imaginary-reality-is-created-by-two-mechanismsA question I received: Many people relate to all of life’s ills by the principle, “Just smile and all will pass,” meaning everything will work out in the end. Does this mean that these people will never come out of their egoism?

My Answer: This kind of approach is destructive. One thinks that if he smiles like an idiot, everything will work out. He expects things to work out not because of his efforts and work, but just like that, all by itself.

Where does this attitude come from? From the fact that people don’t have anything in life, yet they already know that there’s nothing that can be done about it. They feel that everything is determined by blind fate, and this means that everything should work out somehow. So they think: You can’t really change anything, but at least you can smile like an idiot.

This approach diverts a person from action, from freedom of choice, and from correction. And this is why it is destructive.

We Can Stop Cheating Each Other By Building A Pipeline For The Light

pipeA question I received: If my egoism has become global, does that mean I depend on everyone else?

My Answer: Your dependence on others means that if you don’t act for the sake of benefiting everyone, you will never succeed. Suppose I am a taxi driver. I pick up a passenger, drive him to wherever he needs to go, overcharge him twice the actual amount he owes me, conceal this money from the tax collectors and put it straight into my pocket. It’s all mine! But in the end, I see that somehow I don’t get to keep any of this money! I don’t know where it all went or why, but that’s just what happens.

Suddenly, I’m surrounded with problems: the bank cheated me, something’s not going right with the wife and the kids, my health is deteriorating, and everything else is going wrong. I’m faced with a thousand different problems and misfortunes. Whatever I do, and no matter how much money passes through my hands, none of it is any good.

Thus, people must understand that by continuing to act the way they do, they are simply killing themselves. And it’s not easy to explain to people that no matter what they do, they must always consider everyone else as well. This is so because we’ve entered a whole new world, where we cannot keep cheating the way we used to cheat the tax authorities or the taxi passengers, in the above example. We will then see that what we have to cheat are our egoistic bodies, because they don’t allow us to act in consideration of others.

Can you imagine what an enormous transition we must all go through? It can only be done by means of education, which will explain that we’re living in a new world and must abide by this new law. And if we don’t, we condemn ourselves, our families, our relatives and the entire world to suffering.

Therefore, society must begin to create these education systems. They may appear as mere education systems, meant to explain these concepts, but in fact, they will be connected to the Light – the only force that is able to correct our desires. It is our uncorrected desires that continually make us go back to our old ways, tricking us to act this way even when we want to be different already, to bestow to others. In order to correct these desires, we need a methodology that is connected to the Light and that will allow us to channel this Light toward us. It’s like laying a pipeline that enables electricity to get to the consumers, to reach into every home.

Choosing The Right Environment Is Our Only Choice

how-do-you-fight-group-laziness

Two questions I received on work in the group:

Question: You said we should feel inspired by the group even when we know this inspiration is artificial. Could you clarify?

My Answer: Because a person is a created being, his essence is the general will to receive pleasure. One’s environment tells him what he should be feeling pleasure from, and the environment transmits this influence onto a person through education and advertisement. These create a value system inside the person.

This is why our only freedom of will lies in choosing what environment will tell us what we must enjoy in this life. The enjoyment can be of two types:

1. Of this world, where one desires to attain things in this world
2. Of the Upper World, where one desires to reveal the Light and become fulfilled by It

You decide which is right for you. (For more on this, see Item 4 of “Introduction to Talmud Eser Sefirot.”)

Question: Do I have the right to demand from the group a display of the importance of the goal, or is the group there for me to display the importance of the goal to them?

My Answer: You can demand it, but this relationship has to be mutual!
