The more uncorrected our vessels of reception, the more we cannot open our mouths to receive His abundance, for fear of disparity of form, as in “One who eats that which is not one’s own, is afraid to look upon one’s face” (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, “Inner Observation,” Chapter 5, Item 22).

If I do not become similar to the Creator, then eventually, I constantly lose.

Without acting like the Creator, I am immersed in a sense of shame that belittles me, presses me to the ground, and explains how insignificant I am.

I feel ashamed that I am not similar to the Creator, that I am the opposite of Him.

But “The righteous in their land will inherit twofold.” …Not only do they attain the perfection of the pleasures and a variety of possessions, they also acquire the equivalence of form with their Maker. Thus, they come to true adhesion and are also at rest since the abundance comes to them by itself, without any movement or effort (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, “Inner Observation,” Chapter 4, Item 21).

We are talking about those people who understand how to receive fulfillment. Therefore, Kabbalah is called the wisdom of fulfillment, the wisdom of reception. If we can receive fulfillment correctly, we can receive everything we want, and, having achieved this, we will be at rest.

Baal HaSulam writes that a person learns not only to enjoy correctly, but also receives an equivalence of form with his maker. That is, these are two types of pleasure, when he receives pleasure both from being similar to the Creator and from being filled with what the Creator gives.

Question: What pleasures does the Creator give? What can we enjoy?

Answer: Being like the Creator. This is the highest pleasure. In this case, a person is filled with constant, absolute pleasure and does not feel any need.

Question: If there is such a technology, and it has existed for several thousand years, then why has no one revealed it and advertised it?

Answer: Because it is against our nature. Even when we advertise it, we do not see that people are eager to learn it. Our goal is absolute fulfillment. But it is reached by the fact that a person must rise above his egoism, and we do not agree with this.

The four stages of transition from one level to another are mandatory according to the condition of the ten Sefirot or the four-letter name of the Creator Yod-Hey-Vav-Hey. The Creator is the entire nature, its four levels of development, and the transition from the previous state to the next one. And so it is between all steps and within each step.

If there is a transition, it must necessarily go through these four, even in the smallest stages of development.

Therefore, there are four states of development, moving forward. The first is a partial exit from the absolute animal state to the human level. Man is a movement toward solidarity, connection, the property of bestowal and love, but still in its initial state.

So it was under Abraham when he led 5,000 people out of Babylon and organized his first Kabbalistic society. That is, this was a spiritual society in which people treated each other as equals although all of them were different, and everyone cared only about each other and society but not about themselves. In principle, this was their ideal.

Upon this basis Abraham led those who were ready to advance toward this ideal out of Babylon.

Question: Suppose your student expresses some Kabbalistic thought in words, and someone else says a similar thing. Could it be identical?

Answer: First, my student speaks about Kabbalah based on the connection through the group with the upper source, with the next degree. Second, when he utters those words, those who are under his influence, whether they feel it or not, receive a special influence from him.

The huge difference between people who speak, teach, and perform is that either this is a person who is only within our world, a smart guy, or someone who is a pipe connected to the upper world and carrying through upper energy into our world.

My Response: We are destined to succeed but through a very long way of recognizing our nature and correcting it.

Question: We are on the eve of the new year. Why, when there is a change of year, do people feel some kind of excitement and fulfillment? What is the root of this phenomenon? After all, we know that there is no time in spirituality. Why do people perceive it this way?

Answer: Firstly, there is no corporeal time in spirituality, and there is no spiritual time in corporeality. Therefore, it is not easy to talk about time.

In principle, the concept of time is quite complex. On one hand, this is connected to the coordinates we are in, against what and how we measure time and whether it exists at all. Is it purely our subjective inner feelings or is it really some kind of constant that dictates the course of our existence to us all the time? All this is not simple.

However, the fact that people get excited when the year changes is a common phenomenon that has nothing to do with spiritual roots.

The beginning of times, the end of times, and some kind of times, they of course do exist. But the “New Year” itself was adopted by people only in order to have some kind of reference point.

Question: Do the letters that The Zohar talks about express the types of connection between us?

Answer: Of course! Only the connection between us! Without the connection between souls, the authors of The Zohar would not have been able to attain anything. Everything is attained in the network of connections between us.

What do we attain? Forces of bestowal. The totality of these forces of bestowal is called the Creator (Bo-Re, Come and See), which we reveal in the connection between us; it is the quality of bestowal and love.

If we attain this in the form of forces, then this is our desire, a vessel for revealing the light. If we attain an impression in it, the light, then this is the Creator, the light that is revealed in a vessel, in a desire. Other than that, there is nothing.

Everything we read in The Zohar or in all the books of Kabbalists is just the impressions of a person, a Kabbalist, from his attainment of the force of bestowal within his desires, according to the equivalence of qualities. He tells us about his desires, about the force that he attained, about his impression, that he explained in such an external form.

It is possible to express it in music, songs, and beautiful words, or it can be explained in the language of Kabbalah, Talmud, or legends. But ultimately the Kabbalists explain their attainments to us.

Question: How in a moment of hatred for everything can you come to the state of recognizing that it comes from the Creator?

Answer: The Creator precisely gives you this condition. He is not obviously doing it slightly but shows Himself. He must show you hatred, frustration, and failure, so that you can build an opposite attitude toward Him above it: “All this egoism is put in front of me, and now I will be against it, You are deliberately setting me up like this.”

Question: And how can you deceive your egoism and play this game?

Answer: There is no need to cheat. You just walk despite egoism, because that is how the Creator makes it for you.

Question: For example, the Creator presents someone as an object of irritation. How does one treat him at this moment?

Answer: Look at it as a challenge from the Creator. He challenges you: “Well, let me see how you’re going to act now. Can you, despite this phenomenon, relate to Me as the Good Who Does Good or not?” And you must cope with these phenomena, interact with it, but internally your work should be exactly like this.

Question: As a Kabbalist who understands how to work with the system, do you have a different perception than the students? That is, you can somehow do this already at a different level?

Answer: I have the same job, only even more difficult. The Creator presents me with such problems every day that there is simply nowhere to go, we must react to them very quickly and correctly. That is how we live.

Question: That is, some dirty tricks are constantly coming, no matter how ready you are?

Answer: It is not a trick, it is out of love, to give you the opportunity to build a sense of the Creator in yourself. And it is built precisely by rising above these contradictions.

Question: But you can evaluate some negative impact only later when you have already passed this condition. Is it the same with you?

Answer: You fall into this state for a long time, and you cannot get out of it until the Creator, by His mercy, forgives you for not being able to do anything, and pulls you out by the ear.

And I am in this work all the time, not forgetting that “There is none else besides Him,” who is absolutely good. Pictures that are the opposite of this constantly arise in me because my egoism, my nature inverts them, and I must invert them back and thus build a reverse action on my egoism. This will be called the screen and reflected light.

Comment: The workshop has an interesting feature. At the moment of its implementation, a person seems to come to some kind of understanding, feels inspired, feels encouraged, and the next day it all disappears.

My Response: It does not matter. Even if it has disappeared from a person, it is still his. Nothing disappears in spiritual development. It is just that something has disappeared at the moment because new egoism has been added.

Nothing ever goes backward, only forward. If something is washed out of your memory, it is because a new, still uncorrected, egoistic mass comes that obscures your previous spiritual attainments.

Question: How does a person relate to the personal opinions of everyone in the group? How important is it to express your opinion?

Answer: What personal opinion can there be? No one has any opinion of their own. My only opinion is that I support the group in its advancement toward the Creator, and by this I support all my friends. My opinion is my contribution to the common yearning to come closer to the Creator. That is it. What else can there be?

There is one single force of bestowal and love in the world, and I need to strive for it. If I am against this, things will get worse. Moreover, the opposition is completely unwise. Neither my freewill nor my special criticality or individuality are manifested by it.

“No, I want to be against the Creator!”

“What do you mean ‘against’? What is the rationality of your action? Why are you against Him?”

“Because I want to be an evil force!”

The evil force is also Him, just like the good force. The adhesion with the Creator is simply an understanding that there is nothing else. Whether you are for Him or against Him, you will still be with Him. Therefore, we do not have any options.
