Study All Your Life

laitman_283_01Question: Where should I study after the age of forty?

Answer: I believe that a person should study his entire life. He mustn’t be free of the framework of the teachings of the wisdom of connection. He should have one notebook all his life where the grades for every subject he has studied would be recorded and the records of the instructor that taught him about the fixed system in which he accounts for what a person has learned.

It would be even better if these records were input into a general computer where I could type someone’s family name and see what that person has learned, what he knows, and most importantly, whether he has had a chance to correct himself and to what extent he is connected to others. According to these data, it would be possible to judge which actions he can perform for the sake of the society, what else he needs, and so forth. The society would use these records in order to assess every individual and to assign him to the desirable activity for the benefit of the society.

Question: Does this mean that it isn’t a fantasy and that you really believe that there must be some positive surveillance of everyone?

Answer: It is better than if the FBI or the KGB kept a file on him. If the KGB looked for whether you are an enemy of the state, here they would look for whether you are a friend of the state.

You Cannot Attain The Upper World By Using Drugs

Laitman_172Question: People didn’t use drugs for pleasure in ancient times but in order to develop spiritually. I have seen through using drugs some schemas and cogwheels; the world turns into a matrix and I see sounds and smells and a Machsom (barrier) and then the road that leads all the way to the world of Infinity. That was when I was a teenager, but now it doesn’t happen! I found an explanation for this in your method. I have been listening to you and reading the materials you publish, but I cannot even transcend the Machsom now! What is the catch?

Answer: Drugs dull egoism and it is actually the revelation of the ego that is crucial in order to transcend the Machsom, which is the border between the desire the receive (egoism, our nature) and the desire to bestow (the upper nature that appears in us only under the influence of the wisdom of Kabbalah, of the Surrounding Light (Ohr Makif). I cannot make the decision for you whether to stop using drugs, but they will certainly stand in your way of attaining the nature of the upper world. Everything you feel under the influence of drugs is unreal!

Does The World Need Money?

laitman_600_04Question: In what way is it possible to help the world other than with money?

Answer: The world has no need for money; instead it needs people who understand this world. There is no connection to money here.

Money is received for some potential, some possibilities, but if this doesn’t come along with intelligence, then it only harms the world. Money enslaves a person. The person who is most free is someone who has nothing, but also has no need for anything.

Suppose that a billion dollars “fell” on you now. You would sit from morning to night thinking about what to do with this and with that; your freedom would end So, truly great people, authors, artists, and musicians were always afraid of too much money, only enough so that there would be means for them to work.

About Love And Success

Laitman_201_02Question: Where is it possible to find true love, and who is a successful person?

Answer: True love can only be through a feeling in which the person doesn’t think about himself as the object of love, but about the person who is loved, so he is concerned about how to do something for him. So, in life, true love can be put into practice only through the implementation of the method of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

A truly successful person is someone who compares himself with others not to attain material success and higher competitive capacity, but to use the characteristic of natural envy to move more quickly than others toward spiritual correction.

A Flood Of Questions About The Wisdom Of Kabbalah

laitman_281_02Question: Is the wisdom of Kabbalah a secret wisdom or a practical study?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah is a practical study. It is secret for those who are not involved in it and revealed to those who engage in it.

Question: Why does a person need the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: If a person believes that he doesn’t need it, it is a sign that he doesn’t need it, or vice versa. There also can be a third option. Find out, and you will discover what it is, and then you will understand whether you need it or not.

Question: Is a discussion circle the new form of studying?

Answer: A circle is the oldest form of studying for those who wish to resemble the Creator. Abraham used it in his days when he taught his followers. This is the reason that this is the only way the wisdom of Kabbalah is attained and studied.

Question: How many worlds are there?

Answer: There are an infinite number of worlds! Every spiritual state is called a world.

Question: What is the ladder of desires?

Answer: Our desires grow continuously, and we must arrange them as a ladder that we can only climb up and thus feel that we ascend.

About Free Energy Resources

laitman_763_1Question: It is believed that using energy from resources that are free, like wind turbines or solar panels, will cause no harm to the environment.

Answer: If our consumption of energy exceeds our basic needs for existence, this energy will disrupt the balance of nature and we will pay the price. The improper us of energy will have a negative effect in any case.

The Bible Is Not What You Thought It Was…

Dr. Michael LaitmanQuestion: What is the Bible? I have not found anything supernatural in it. Although the idea of the book is quite original!

Answer: This book does not need anyone’s approval whatsoever. The main character of the book is the Creator. The major topic is the condition under which we can “reconcile” with the Creator, meaning find the way to a higher realm before we die, during this lifetime, once we manage to reach at least a minimal similarity with the Creator.

We attain the upper realm sensually, and yet physically we remain in this world. Space expands.

To the degree of our ability to implement the principle “love thy neighbor,” a person acquires similarity with the Creator and reveals Him. Eventually, our perception of this world changes dramatically, and we perceive multiple layers, Infinity, timelessness.

At What Age Can One Begin To Study The Wisdom Of Kabbalah?

Laitman_083Question: I have read that according to research data certain regions of the brain reach their maximum functioning only at around the age of 50 and the ability to assess the emotional state of other people, which is a measure of wit and wisdom, reaches its peak at about the age of 40-50.

At the same time, there is no specific age in which a person’s reaches the ultimate peak of his cognitive abilities. The structure of the brain constantly changes and certain abilities can grow and become more dominant while another can deteriorate.

As we all know, the speed of data (incoming information perceived) reaches its peak when a person is in his 20’s. Short-term memory is at its peak at about the age of 25 and at about the age of 35 it begins to deteriorate. Isn’t the answer as to why it is forbidden to study the wisdom of Kabbalah before the age of 40 hidden here?

Answer: Correcting our egoistic nature to an altruistic one isn’t a result of understanding the material we study, but only the result of using it correctly in order to correct one’s self as a result of the study with the intention of summoning the special force of correction the Surrounding Light, the Light that Reforms (Ohr Makif).

Summoning the correction of our nature by resembling the Creator is called spiritual work (God’s work, “Avodat Hashem“) or a prayer, a request for correction, raising MAN (Aliyat MAN). Brains and wisdom are a result of our correction by the Light. This is the reason that a person can engage in the wisdom of Kabbalah at any age, as our sages said that during the time of the Temple, that even small will be brought up of the spirit of bestowal and will attain the Creator in infancy.

In Order To Not Be Thrown Out

laitman_249-03Question:  Since the last convention, I have missed many lessons and been late to many lessons. The worst thing is that I don’t feel ashamed of that… What should I do?

Answer: You will be able to survive only if you begin to spread the method of connection among the masses, just as is done in our groups. At the moment everything that you do is for your own sake and as a result you will simply be thrown out like dumped waste.

How Can We Understand Kabbalah?

laitman_528_02Question: Why is it so difficult to understand Kabbalah?

Answer: If you try to understand it with the mind it is difficult, if not impossible, because to understand Kabbalah, life, and meaning you must change the brain and sense organs, and this is done by the Light due to practical efforts in the circle, in the earthly likeness to the upper property of bestowal.

Kabbalah is a practical method because it is possible to understand what it talks about only in the changed desires and mind

Conclusion: A person must surrender himself and participate in the group.
