Question: What are the Moon and the Sun in relation to our perception? From the point of view of Kabbalah, what is the Earth in relation to these two objects?

Answer: The Earth is the receiving part. It receives the light of the Sun; it rotates around its axis and each time exposes its other side to the Sun. The Earth is between the Sun and the Moon and therefore obscures the Moon from the Sun. This determines the phase of the Moon.

Since everything is arranged in such a way that the Moon revolves around the Earth with a certain periodicity, we have a lunar calendar. The Earth, as it rotates around its axis, creates an earthly, circadian calendar, and as it rotates together with the Moon around the Sun, it creates an annual calendar.

In addition, the rotation of the entire solar system creates special periods that are marked in the Jewish calendar (29 years and so on).

From the point of view of Kabbalah, the Sun represents Zeir Anpin, the Earth represents Malchut, and the Moon shows the degree of connection between them. The measure in which the Earth has a screen can be seen in the phases of the Moon. The extent to which the Earth can protect the Moon from sunlight shows us the size of the screen.

We see this in the phases of the Moon in reverse because I do not see myself except for my reflection. The waxing moon means that my screen starts to grow and it grows until the full moon and then begins to decrease. Therefore, of the four stages of development, two are growing and two are decreasing and then there is a new period. This is exactly what happens in the development of the spiritual instrument, the Kli (vessel).

Answer: Of course. Where can you see all this from? You see yourself!

Question: Am I seeing myself? Then why do I freeze in delight? Almost everyone sees this sky and freezes. What is there to cause this delight?

Answer: You are shown a little bit of what is inside of you in a mechanistic way like this. In fact, you see yourself from within. This amazes you a little, delights you, and touches you.

Question: What is the most important thing I need to see inside myself?

Answer: That there is an infinite possibility in you, an infinite number of all possible qualities. You have to start connecting them all together somehow and you will receive the Creator. We need to look at the starry sky more often.

Question: Once we were all connected. This quality of unity began to gradually disappear. Did we finally stop feeling these connections?

Answer: In fact, the loss of the feeling of connection occurs only with respect to us, the created beings, and the states in which we exist.

We even see from our world how we feel the world according to the circumstances and qualities we are in. Sometimes it seems to us surprisingly kind, bright, full, and beautiful, and sometimes absolutely the opposite.

Such a change of qualities within us practically displays to us the world in accordance with our qualities. Therefore, if we want to truly experience the world, we must consist of all the opposite qualities. This is our spiritual development. This is what we have to come to.

The connection of opposites is the law of dialectics, and both qualities must be connected within us. One is in the form of a great egoistic desire, the second is in the form of a restriction in this desire and the quality of bestowal and love, which is opposite to egoistic desire.

What does The Zohar teach us? It is known from the science of Kabbalah that the Creator created one desire within which all further development takes place.

This one desire includes a huge number of private desires connected to each other in a single system called Adam, a common soul.

Then according to His program, the Creator began to destroy the connection that exists between the parts of that very desire.

They begin to lose connection with each other, like in a sick body whose organs cease to interact correctly with each other, which leads to an imbalance, and what we feel are the symptoms of the disease: the pressure or temperature increases, the content of chemicals, the composition of blood, etc., meaning, the body does not balance itself. It’s a disease.

Why does the Creator do this to souls? So that we feel the corruption and then correct it.

This disease penetrates into our original state, corrupts the connection between us that make us parts of a single system, and we begin to feel less and less connected to each other.

In this loss of connection between us there are 125 degrees of descent from infinity from where we are infinitely connected to each other to a state in which this connection completely disappears.

And even more than that, when descending the 125 degrees, at the level called Parsa, an even greater damage occurred and instead of a positive connection, following its absence, a new negative connection was formed.

And now everyone wants to use others for their own benefit. The body does not just die, but completely devours itself.

This fall into the desire for the sake of receiving, into the desire to use others, continues further, until it reaches a state in which we absolutely lose all connection with each other, both a positive connection for the sake of bestowal and a negative connection for the sake of receiving, which brings us in complete contradiction to the spiritual and absence of awareness or knowledge of it. This is a consequence of our separation from each other.

And then we feel this world—an imaginary reality. Why is it imaginary? Because it was specially created by the Creator to give us the illusion of His absence.

What should we do? We need to understand that we have to fix the connection between us. As the connection between us increases, the soul rises from the sensation of our world to infinity. Reconnecting between us creates an ascent.

Therefore, as far as we can imagine our states in connection with all souls, all parts of creation together, we will increase our enjoyment of The Book of Zohar.

After all, it is written from the height of infinity. The authors of The Book of Zohar wrote this work from where they were connected together at the height of 125 degrees.

Therefore, when studying The Zohar, we should feel the desire to connect together. There is no need for special wisdom. It is enough to remember that we comprehend everything only in connection with each other.

And in fact, The Zohar speaks only about the connection of souls. It explains to me what my connection is with the universal system called Adam, with all the other souls, and how I must use this to connect them all together into a corrected, healthy, and properly functioning system.

This is all The Zohar talks about. It explains that I am here to perform this correction action for everyone, etc.

In spiritual work, the main thing is an inner feeling. Gradually, everything is transforming. Physical meetings are becoming less frequent and virtual meetings are becoming more frequent so that people feel each other more through big screens.

A person may still need some kind of visual representation, but in general, he will move to virtual perception and through virtual to spiritual.

Spiritual perception is no longer connected with the body; whether you live or die, are far away or close, in the same or in different worlds, depends only on whether the attaining person who is in contact with you covers these areas or not.

If he feels you only through the body, then his adapter includes only five corporeal sensory organs. If you are in the sphere of his “radar,” then he catches you, and if you are outside of his five senses, then he does not catch you.

But for a person who acquires spiritual senses, this problem does not exist. It does not matter to him whether you are here or already without a body in another world because he is always focused on the essence of this object, and the essence is eternal, it does not die.

I hope we will come to such a state where we begin to feel that our friends all over the world simply exist together with us. They either live far away or have already disposed of their outer shell and are only in the spiritual state; it will not matter at all!

Like people who live with each other for a long time and in general no longer see the exterior of a person, for them he is a kind of an inner image. It is the same here. I am sure this will happen.

Our perception of the world and the feeling of life is contained in desire. Desire is the only thing that was created. It lives in itself and feels everything within itself.

It feels in two formats. Part of the picture is presented to it as itself and the other part is in the form of the outside world.
This is how we perceive ourselves and the environment in our split desire, internal and external, us and the surrounding.

The picture of reality is divided into circles that expand from the inside out: soul, body, immediate environment, distant environment. In fact, all this is sensation and it exists in me, inside my desire.

Conclusions:

• If I want to change the world, then I need to change my desire. The sensation of the world depends on it, and in general the world is what is felt in it.
• The world that seems to me external is an illusion. It’s all in my desire, only I don’t feel it right now.
• I relate to part of myself as something alien and extraneous, to nature and humanity, and, as a result of this attitude, I suffer. I myself do not know what harm I am doing to myself by the chimera of the outside world.

This is a mistake, an optical illusion! It would seem that strangers are in front of me who can be neglected.

But in reality, I simply do not realize that I am thereby bringing troubles and problems to myself. But my whole life is filled with this. What a terrible, distorted perception of reality.

The science of Kabbalah is designed to unite my shattered parts. I am not capable of it myself, but I can ask the light to come and correct my soul. Then I will see a single reality, a single desire, and in it a single Kli and a single light.

On the way to this goal, we try to direct ourselves to unity. By reading The Book of Zohar, I simply have to constantly bring myself to the feeling of peace within myself. Whatever is said, it’s all in me, all these are my forces, desires, and qualities.

All the spiritual worlds are in a person, there is nothing outside of him. There is no need to divide the world into internal and external. All this is one Kli.

With this in mind, we cause ourselves to be exposed to light, which connects the parts of our perception with each other.

After the creation of Malchut of the world of Ein Sof, nothing else changed. This is the only form in reality, the Malchut of Ein Sof, in which desire and light are in perfect fusion, harmony, and unity according to the principle: “He and His name are one.”

All other states represent a kind of cover of this perfection. They hide it from us and therefore are called “worlds (Olamot),” which means “concealments (Halamot),” the ten concealing Sefirot that as if absorb the light and conceal it from us who are in this world.

Therefore, if we want to get closer to the world of Ein Sof, we must learn to look correctly at ourselves and at the environment, at the world we are in, over and over again so that this picture takes an increasing similarity to the world of Ein Sof. This means that “He and His name are one.”

As far as possible, we find out who “He” is, what “His name” is, how and with what details of perception, to solder them into one. This is how we move up the degrees of the ladder of spiritual worlds back to Ein Sof.

From here it becomes clear that the stairway and the worlds are not outside, but inside. All these veils of Ein Sof, in which we are now, are layered in ourselves. And they are needed so that we gradually reveal where we are; we reveal ourselves by our own efforts. The more reason I gain, the greater my excitement and inspiration, the more desires I will gain, and I will develop myself to become a resident of the future world, the world of Ein Sof.

This is why we are given the environment of this world. If a person uses all his aspects and elements correctly, then everything is in his power. And if not, then, according to the level of his development, he is under pressure: crises, wars, problems, and disasters of various kinds. Together they clamp him “in a vise” and direct him in the right direction so that he begins to build this world for himself in ever greater similarity with Ein Sof.

Question: In The Study of the Ten Sefirot, it is said that at the beginning of creation in the upper light there was neither beginning nor end. How can we understand this?

Answer: There was no time; that is, nothing was changing.

In order for time to appear, it is necessary for the desire to feel itself in some state and these states would begin to change and give the desire its qualities. Then the desire will begin to separate one state from another, and a feeling of change from the first state to the second, and to the third will appear in it. This is what characterizes time.

If there were no changes, we would not feel time. That is, it is a subjective feeling of each of us.

In principle, time is a change of states. Therefore, there is no time in spirituality; there is only a change of states.

In our world, we feel time because our body is constantly moving somewhere both internally and externally. It is being influenced and it is influencing. We feel all these changes as the framework of time in which we exist.

In other words, in spirituality, if I do not do some actions myself, consciously, then my states do not change, and therefore there is no time.

In our corporeal world, it doesn’t matter whether I do something or not; changes still occur instinctively and unconsciously, i.e., they are embedded automatically. This is why there is a sense of time in our body.

These five lights are the light that the Creator created on the first day. Adam was watching it from the end of the world to its end (Zohar for All, “The Rose“).

Question: Why does it say “from the end of the world to its end” and not from beginning to end?

Answer: In our perception, we are between the qualities of judgment and mercy, between two lines. Our whole world fits within the boundaries of these borderline forms.

And therefore, in this context, we cannot see the world from beginning to end. In each state, the world is limited by the boundaries of our Kli, which we are able to discern.

Question: The entire reality is light and Kli, Creator and creation, the other and me. Why does The Zohar seem so complicated and confusing?

Answer: The Zohar seems complicated and confusing to us because we have not reached a unified picture. We have “me” and “the world,” my desires, my thoughts, and the forces operating in this entire reality, and the fulfillments in it seem distant from each other and shattered. Therefore, this force of shattering gives me an extremely complex, confusing picture. It is because I do not see all this in unity, and separation brings me confusion.

As much as we can see, but not in the mind because it will not help, rather in feelings, that is, in more corrected Kelim (desires), all these details of perception combined together: me, the other, the Creator, the study, the group, the environment, everything that exists, to the extent that I wish to link them together, these efforts will bring me light. The light will lead me to the contemplation of a more unified picture, and all the elements of the picture will gradually begin to connect.

From the connection of all these opposites, which become supportive and connected with each other, the entire wisdom comes.

The more distant and opposite all these details of the picture of reality used to be, which I now see connected together both supporting and complementing each other, the deeper I attain the thought of creation, the program of creation, and the process that we are going through.

From these opposites, I begin to live, to feel this amazing wisdom, to connect together the upper governance, to correlate it with one force.

All this is a result of the influence of light on my shattered desires and thoughts, when I want it to connect them together.
