New Life 722 – The Children Of Israel In The Desert

The “desert” is a state in which a person feels that he cannot use his former egoism, that has no nourishment. In the physical world, a person has a livelihood, a family, work; everything is okay, but inside he feels that his life is “dry” like a desert. The feeling of dryness brings a person to ask about the purpose of the whole “story.”

Nature is very wise; it creates every detail with a wonderful understanding. But the purpose for which everything exists is hidden.

In the desert, a person lives from a connection with the desire to bestow, with Divinity, so the concept of the “children of Israel in the desert” speaks about correction, about rising above the ego, about the level of Hafetz Hesed (delighting in mercy). The “desert” is a state in which we learn to go on without a reward and without egoistic benefits, but with the higher power of love. The “pillar of fire” and the “pillar of cloud” illuminate the way for a person and direct him toward that upper force in states of night and day, darkness and light. In the desert, a person neutralizes the ego, and when he reaches the land of Israel he has already harnessed the ego to bestowal and love.

The “forty years in the desert” symbolize the inner changes through which the children of Israel pass in the desert. Throughout this period they are actually complaining all the time because the desire to receive is first revealed and only after that is the correction revealed. The complaints are basically the elevation of MAN, a request for the correction of the Kelim (vessels). When the Kelim are corrected, this is a “miracle.” A miracle is the discovery of a new phenomenon, an action that happens not in our original natural egoistic way.

Zionist, anti-Zionist, Jewish: they are not the same thing! The Jews were divided into Zionists and anti-Zionists with the appearance of their aspiration for Zion in the 19^th century. There was always a desire to be reborn on our land, but the non-religious movement to establish the revival of the Jewish people in its historic homeland was something new.

There are Zionists who criticize Israel because they don’t agree with its policy of “occupation.” Among the ultra-Orthodox community, Neturei Karta has come out against Zionism and the Jewish State because they believe that Israel can be established only with the coming of the Messiah.

I believe that the ultra-Orthodox are absolutely right. It is indeed only with the coming of the Messiah (a force of attraction that draws the people out of exile through attitudes of connection and love, out of the egoistic state) will the true Israel be established. They don’t take into account that the coming of the Messiah (redemption from the ego, from mutual hatred) depends on our efforts to unite through a comprehensive method of public education and consolidation into a complete whole. That is how we leave the exile via the short way, through Achishena – will hasten it (Isaiah 60:22).

But if we wait for the Messiah passively, it will happen by way of Beito – in its time (Isaiah 60:22). This means through terrible suffering (wars, Holocausts), labor pains, so to speak, until the Jews become unified as a people and then into a proper nation. This is similar to what Abraham did 3,500 years ago when he united part of the Babylonians into a group that called itself Israel, “aimed directly toward what is higher,” toward union and love.

Subconsciously, the nations of the world are expecting this unity specifically from us. Until the realization of this state, they will blame us for all of their troubles and suffering because the origin of all suffering can be summed up as a lack of the unifying power and love in our world that can only appear through the unification of the Jewish people.

New Life 721 – From Abraham To The Generation Of The Desert

Who are the children of Israel who gathered around Abraham in Babylon? What do the hunger and the exile they felt in Egypt symbolize, and what can we learn about our life today from their story?

The same people who wanted to discover the meaning of life in ancient Babylon gathered around Abraham with the intention of revealing the upper force, the force of love and bestowal that manages our life by adapting us to it. There was a great crisis in Babylon, egoism erupted and separated people, and Abraham taught them how to connect. He took this group of people with him from Babylon to the Land of Canaan.

The successors of Abraham’s path are Isaac and Jacob. Egoism continued to grow from day to day and the same people made efforts to overcome it, but were not successful. This created a sense of enslavement and it brought about the awakening of the point of Moses in them, the point of connection that stands against the ego, against Pharaoh, and brings about the ten plagues of Egypt.

The miracle of the exodus from Egypt takes place when the children of Israel escape from the ego. When they reach the gathering at Mt. Sinai they hear that they have to feel love between them and they are ready to do so but cannot, and so they go out to the desert. The 40 years in the desert symbolize the effort they made to at least not harm others if they cannot reach love. The ego is revealed like a snake at any given moment and their effort is to rise above it, not to harm others and to maintain friendship between them.

The children of Israel receive the manna from Heaven in the dry desert. It is the force that helps them maintain good relations between them. In Babylon the ego was relatively small, but in Egypt it erupted in a terrible way. In this respect our situation is worse today. There is hatred between us; we are inconsiderate on the roads, in the media, in the Knesset, everywhere. If we wish to change that, we must first recognize the cause for this bad situation ,which is our egoism, and then we have to learn how to correct it.

In the News (aljazeera.com): “The resolution, adopted by the United Nations cultural agency’s 58-nation executive board last week, condemns the Israeli government’s stewardship of Jerusalem and decries the renovation of “so-called Jewish ritual baths” and the alleged creation of ‘Jewish fake graves.’

“Sites are either referred to by their Arabic or English names, or, in the case of the Western Wall Plaza, the holiest site where Jews can pray, are put in quotation marks.

“The Western Wall is in East Jerusalem’s historic Old City, which was occupied by Israel along with the rest of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the 1967 Middle East war, though Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, passed the Jerusalem Law, which in 1980 declared the city ‘complete and united.’

“However, the vast majority of the international community – including the United States, the European Union and the UN – do not recognise Israel’s claims to sovereignty over East Jerusalem.”

My Comment: The Jewish people emerged under the leadership of Abraham in ancient Babylon through the union of separate families, clans, and tribes. They agreed to become a single society whose purpose was to attain the relationship of “And you shall love your friend as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). In such relationships between people, the property of love that manages the world manifests. This characteristic is called the Creator.

As a result of the egoism that dominates us, we exist inside the property of love, as in an impenetrable bubble. Within it, we feel our world, in its egoism. Kabbalah calls to us to unite in spite of our egoism, to break through the membrane of this bubble and discover for ourselves the upper eternal and perfect world.

Humanity subconsciously waits for unification of the Jewish people to show the example (to be a light to peoples of the world) of how it is possible to unite in the integral world. As long as we don’t fulfill this Mitzvah (commandment) to bring the whole world to unity with the Creator, the world will hate us. The more that we reject our mission, the more we will be witness to greater and greater hatred of the world toward us.

New Life 725 – Memorial Day: An End To Bereavement

Why is Israel in a continuous struggle for its existence? How can we put an end to war and and what is the way Kabbalah provides a sense of security for us and for the world?

I was born into the grief of WWII and when I came to Israel I served in the army and in the military reserve forces. Memorial Day is a day of self-searching.

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, we live in the system of nature in which there are clear and definite laws. As Jews, we are given freewill and our role is to balance the world in which the negative egoistic force constantly grows. The first to balance the world was Adam, and then there was Abraham. Abraham told people how to cope with egoism with the help of the positive force in nature. The nation of Israel that gathered around him learned how to build a connection above the ego and to balance the two forces in nature.

The roots of the nation of Israel, which was built on love of others, are its uniqueness. If we go back to our role and bring the positive force to the world, no one will rise against us. Instead of competing against each other, we have to invoke a new type of competition, competition over mutual help. We have to get closer to the force of love for the sake of all the fallen soldiers, and then we will also feel all the souls among us.

Question: The Council of Jewish Organizations in France expressed indignation that the Cannes Film Festival has planned the screening of an Arab film, Munich: The Palestinian Story. In the film, the terrorists who kidnapped and murdered the Israeli athletes are called freedom fighters, and all responsibility for the crime is thrown upon the German police. How is such a distortion of clear facts possible?

Answer: Today the entire modern world has become like this. If everyone says, “The Jews drink blood” and accuse them with charges that are devoid of logic, so why would the Cannes Film Festival be different? In our time, culture has become a means of political expression.

Comment: And people easily believe it.

Answer: Certainly! So they exploit culture. The controlling authorities have taken the so-called independent communications media into their hands, and now they are also taking the control of culture in their hands. They are also giving their attention to the areas of life in which it is still possible to operate on a person and manipulate him.

Comment: In spite of all this, the Jewish Agency, which is an “agency” of our external publicity, is investing great efforts in propaganda.

Answer: These organizations cannot do anything, they don’t have the power. The only thing we can do is conduct an audit of who we are. Are we to blame for what is happening? It is impossible for us to constantly justify ourselves and blame the nations of the world for being the “bad guys” and say we are the “good guys.”

We must dig deeper to understand who the Jews what Israel, how we relate to the implementation of the program in all of nature and the world. After all, we really manage this, without knowing it, and our bad attitude towards each other is bad for all the people who accuse us that we are the source of all evil. Therefore, we ourselves are building with their own hands is in itself, and no one is to blame.

And the peoples of the world have no way of confronting what we are doing in the world.

It is necessary to dig deeper to understand who the Jews are, what Israel is, and how we are connected to the implementation of the program of the development of all of nature and the world. After all, we really do manage this program without knowing it, and our bad attitude toward one another is bad for all the people who accuse us of being the source of all evil. Therefore with our very own hands we are building such an attitude toward us and no one else is to blame. The peoples of the world have no opportunity to confront what we are doing in the world.

Question: Are we capable of changing this attitude?

Answer: We can change this attitude if we listen to what the wisdom of Kabbalah says, otherwise there is no way.

Question: In the story of the Israelites exiting Egypt, one of the most significant and biggest events is the crossing of the Red Sea. This event occurs when the Israelites, after receiving Pharaoh’s permission, leave Egypt in haste and a week later reach the Red Sea.

Pharaoh, after a few days, regrets his decision to release the Jews and sends his entire army with chariots and horses to chase them. The situation seemed hopeless to the Jews, they faced the sea and were surrounded on three sides.

At this point, the Creator told Moses to raise his staff—and the sea parted, divided into two halves. As soon as the Israelites crossed in the middle and reached the opposite shore, the sea returned to its usual state, and the Egyptians pursuing them drowned. What does this story about crossing the Red Sea symbolize?

Answer: I think the Torah was given to man to discover his qualities, tendencies, desires, intentions, and thoughts, to realize that a man is a small world that has everything in it: Egypt, the people of Israel, Mount Sinai, the Sinai desert, and the Red Sea. Everything that exists in the world is inside man.

Moreover, by studying the wisdom of Kabbalah correctly we reveal that there is no world outside of man. It seems to me that I am in a room called a studio and there are other people and various subjects in it apart from me. But all this is in me, inside of me. My qualities draw this picture on my internal screen. However this picture is sensory.

Let’s fantasize a little. Let us say that we can live another 100-200 years. Who thought about television 100 years ago? No one! Suddenly the first little black-and-white television appeared, then a bigger one, and then a color one with a few channels.

Let’s assume that in 100 years we will produce a television that will create the complete illusion of a movie, as if you are there, inside, among the people, and even experience different scents. You look at this game and it even involves you, and all these images, created by, let’s assume, laser beams in the air, interact with you.

You project your thoughts and desires on them, and they on you, and all of it is a special program in which you participate and play together with artificial images. And suddenly you discover that you are exactly the same, because what makes you different from them? And they, apparently, also look at each other and at you the same way. This is the people.

Ultimately, we are some kind of a program that materializes in such a form and nothing more. So what is the difference between internal and external? There is none. We are all a kind of holographic, three-dimensional picture that can also be more dimensional. And this is how we live.

Actually, this is what the Torah explains to us. So far it is hard for us to imagine this, but when we really approach spiritual perception this is exactly what is gradually revealed to us. We develop an ability to understand and feel the truth, to live in it, and to be in a constant interaction with it.

The wisdom of Kabbalah allows us to do it; therefore it is called the wisdom of reception (Kabbalah means reception in Hebrew), the wisdom of perception. This is why the Torah tells us about all the situations in such a form, meaning it is talking about a person who understands that he is inside a play or a game where the upper thought, the upper program, creates all these images and he exists together with them in this life.

Then a question arises: How does he relate to this great mind and the great desire that controls this theatre? Either he exists in it understanding this fact and searches for the most correct way to play his role, or he lives as he pleases, every moment following his senses and selecting what is best for himself.

The person that lives within himself is seemingly disconnected from others; he doesn’t care about these images, the process that everyone undergoes, and this general intention, the so-called purpose of creation. He lives every minute just for his own benefit, according to his shallow inner feeling. He is allowed to realize his internal personal program.

But it is made clear to him that there is a common program and he can play together with others according to this program. And then he moves together with the global upper thought and desire, called the thought of creation. Between these two things, a person can be in connection with the thought of creation to different extents or in connection with his “animal body,” as long as he is happy.

Comment: The Labor representative of Pakistan origin Sadiq Khan won the election for mayor of London with  57% of the votes compared to 43% of the votes that his Conservative rival Zac Goldsmith received. Now all the papers say that a chain of Moslem mayors is expected in Europe.

Answer: According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, Islam will conquer Europe both by terror and by governance. Eventually all of Europe will be conquered even gradually in a democratic way. One man crosses the border and makes his way to the continent and lives in a slum and after a while rises to power, like Sadiq Khan. The Creator’s plans are implemented in an absolutely perfect way and there is no way we can escape them. Europe will become Muslim.

Comment: It is important to note that Sadiq Khan speaks nicely and claims that he is a democrat and that London is the capital of the world where all the races and nations live together.

Answer: Of course, since according to the Islamic belief, it should become the world religion and everyone should gather under the green flag, which means being loyal to the prophet Mohamed.

Question: Does this mean that you believe that Sadiq Khan also holds this belief?

Answer: Without a doubt. This is what the Muslims want and this is what they will achieve. It is clearly expressed throughout their history. After all, Islam supports the strengthening of the family and is against alcohol and drug consumption, etc. It is a religion that offers a stable way of life that appeals to many, especially in such an unstable time in Europe.

Question: What does that mean with regard to Israel?

Answer: Soon we will not be able to fly to Europe because the attitude toward Israelis will be very unfriendly, like in Nazi Germany. Tourists may be robbed and kidnapped as hostages and even killed.

We have to come to our senses and realize that we are creating these problems, that we have elected the mayor of London; it is actually us, the Jews here in Israel and not somewhere else. We have to establish a new society here that is based on integral education, a society in which everyone is mutually connected not under any special flag but under the flag of mutual love relations.

Unless we understand that our mission is to be Light unto the nations of the world, things will be very bad and we will receive blows. The blows will, of course, eventually help and will force us to unite, but the question is why it should be after so much suffering.

Comment: According to Professor Danny Helmut Neiburg, an expert in the relationship between hormones and intelligence, the results of his studies regarding the decline in fertility of the local European population in contrast to the wave of immigrants who have a lower IQ indicate that this will turn the Europeans into a minority and the IQ level will drop to such a level that it will threaten the flourishing democracy and Western civilization.

Answer: I have no doubt about it, since it stems from the effect the environment has on man. These physiological and spiritual genes spread in the air and affect people.

The intellectual level of the population eventually affects the individual and his level of intelligence.

These are the laws of nature: the mass is powerful and so is the individual. If the mass agrees the individual can raise it and lead it, but if he cannot do so, the mass pressures him and obliges him to act.

Therefore the wave of uneducated masses that is flooding Europe will undoubtedly lower the intellectual level of the continent and it will no longer be Europe but will resemble the Islamic states in the Middle East.

Comment: Professor Neiburg believes that there are three possible solutions: first, submission and obedience; second, sending the refugees back to their countries, and third, a civil war. He believes that there are greater chances that there will be a civil war.

Answer: I believe that there will be such confrontations that will turn into civil war. Someone will have to surrender and to obey someone. I don’t think that the Europeans will be able to simply give in. They will have to find a common language and together will declare war on Israel.

I cannot say whether it will happen in our days, but I believe it will happen quite soon.

The only way out is if Israel gives the world the power of unity, from which no one can escape so that everyone will surrender to it and will start communicating with each other and with us.

Then we will begin to build the future society based on mutual unity of mankind. If the nation of Israel regains its composure and fulfills its goal, the whole world will follow it.

New Life #569 – Israeli Society: Hatred Of The Rich

Summary

Society changes according to the development of the human ego. Once the rich were respected, after that they hated them. The hatred of the rich is often led by educated people among the upper ten percent. In Israel, the situation is unique because we haven’t lived together as a single society for the past two thousand years. We haven’t gone through the entire process in Israel that Europeans have gone through, for example, with all of their revolutions and changes.

The social phenomena that are occurring in Israel have not been typical for the Jewish people at all. In the Diaspora, the Jews supported each other, helped each other, didn’t steal and lie to one another.

In this country, we are passing rapidly through processes that have happened in Western nations over hundreds of years. Economic disparities will only worsen until we begin to re-educate ourselves toward connection. Education for connection among the general public will radiate new values even among the rich on top.

The nature of education for connection will permeate the entire nation since all of us are connected in a linked network. Only education for connection will initiate a real revolution, a standard forceful revolution will not be beneficial in any way.

Today, the public feels that the rich are stealing from them and exploiting them, so they hate them. As a result of education for connection, the wealthy will themselves want to contribute more to society as a whole.

Through the tendency to connect, the public will recognize a new benefit, a new fulfillment—the discovery of the upper force, a new life. This is not just a fulfillment through the clothing of wealth, property, or honor; this is fulfillment through Light.

To gain this exalted fulfillment, fulfillment through Light, a person must be connected correctly to others. Hatred of the wealthy will stop only when they work together with the poor to build a united society.
