Question: If there is no desire for spirituality, how can we awaken it?

Answer: We are in a state that we either awaken ourselves to the spiritual advancement or the advancement awakens us. Throughout history, from the Big Bang that began the universe until today, we have developed by the force of nature that pushed us forward by sufferings. This is called evolution. Every time, having no choice, we left the current state and moved on to the next state that seemed better. We developed in the better state until we began to feel that it wasn’t so good anymore and moved on to the next state that seemed even better.

Unless we feel that our current state is unbearable, we won’t leave it since our ego aspires for rest. Why should I change something if I feel good? If my arm feels comfortable now I will not move it, but if I feel that another position is better and here it is not so comfortable, then these forces move me.

This means that I never move of my own will, and there are always forces that influence and operate me. What are these forces? The arm as part of the animal body feels bad here and that it would feel better if it moves a little and so it moves.

It’s the same with everything in life. It isn’t any different from the way the wind blows: there is pressure in one place and a deficiency in another, a vacuum, and so the air masses move from place to place. There must always be two forces: one that pushes and one that pulls.

This is how it always been in the evolution of human society that has been through many transformations from one state to another: The negative force pushed it from behind and the positive force pulled it from the front, a hope for something good.

Now we are in a very special state. How is it different from all the other states?

It used to be that there was state one (1) and state two (2). In the second state I discovered a plus (+) and in the first state a minus (-). In the first state the rejecting force operated on me and in the second state the pulling force. I moved from one state to the other by these two forces. It’s natural evolution without freewill.

The state I am in now is different since I have freewill. In the current state I discover a very big minus (-), but I don’t discover the negative force, it hardly pushes me forward. Then a big question arises (?): What is the state of freewill? How can I be guided here, know which way to go, what to do, and what will become of me? It’s only with the help of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

/center>Otherwise, it’s impossible to understand what we should do, since in all the previous states we went from one human evolutionary level to the next, but now we have to move from a human level to a divine, spiritual level. Therefore, we cannot grasp how to advance and are actually in the dark. This is the whole problem.

So on the one hand, it is freewill, since it isn’t the animal body that dictates where I should move. I feel helpless and the choice is actually above reason.

So there is nothing we can do without the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah. Here the nation of Israel has to fulfill its mission and this is why we are in such a special dangerous state. Now we come to the forefront of the stage of history and although we were always “watched closely,” now it’s more than ever before.

Question: How did Kabbalists of the past abide without dissemination? How can we spread the Light that we receive from the group without losing its qualities while we interact with the masses?

Answer: Let’s look at what it means to disseminate. If we think that the soul is placed outside of one’s body, it implies that all seven billion “outsiders” represent particles of this person’s soul. It’s not about beautiful words; it’s the truth!

What are we supposed to do with it? We have to disseminate. If one doesn’t attach these particles to oneself, one won’t obtain a place, a Kli, vessel, in which one will sense the upper world.

How can I attach all these particles to myself? I can do this only if I give to them, if I treat them as parts of myself. That’s why it’s said: “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” then he will become an internal part of you. To the extent of our ability to relate to the world in accordance with this principle, we will be granted a chance to sense our soul. It’s “located” in others, although we don’t realize this fact. By neutralizing our egoism and by changing our attitude to all seven billion “outsiders,” we will access our own soul. This explains why we can’t name this process “charity.” It’s because we are trying to discover our own eternal and perfect selves.

The wisdom of Kabbalah appears to us as the most “lucrative business” ever. There is nothing more “profitable” than eternity, perfection, and infinity. Of course, all these matters require much contemplation; we should think about these subjects until we fully “digest” all questions and doubts. However, you have to understand that there is nobody outside us and that everybody and everything (people and all of nature) are only our external Kli, vessel.

In Kabbalah we learn that the soul consists of Shoresh, Neshama, Guf, Levush and Heichal. Our internal desires are comprised of Shoresh, Neshama, and Guf, whereas our external Kelim are Levush and Heichal, meaning “dresses,” “halls,” and “palaces.” They represent external desires. If we relate to them as ourselves, we start sensing the upper Light, the higher life, and our eternal existence in them.

That’s why one should never regard the world as externality. It only looks as if it’s outside us, but in fact, the entire world is inside us. We study the “Introduction to The Book of Zohar” in which Baal HaSulam explains that everything that appears to us as externality is in fact inside us. In other words, everybody is within me.

Something that appears external to us is an illusion that should be destroyed as soon as possible by relating to everybody and everything with love. Only under this condition can we serve as “transmitters” of the upper Light to others. It will pass through us and allow us to sense eternal perfection.

According to the Creator’s part, you are always in a corrected state. But according to how you see it and understand things, it appears very different and this is the flaw. Absolute good comes from the Creator, but He has to hide it and reduce His bestowal upon you so that it will not seem so bad. It is because you are opposite from Him and you receive everything in an opposite manner.

So the Creator cannot pour infinite bestowal upon you since you would feel an infinite minus and would not be able to bear this horrible state. Therefore, the Creator has to diminish Himself, by reducing Himself to practically zero level, leaving only a tiny spark to sustain life, a tiny drop of Light. And even this minimal Light is perceived by you as a cruel world full of evil and pain.

Gradually, through the study and the influence of the friends and the teacher, according to your efforts, the Light comes, reforms you, and changes begin to occur in you. Then you gradually find out that you are actually in a good state and that you feel it as bad because of your uncorrected attributes. Then you begin to work in order to change yourself by using all the means you have: the group, the study, dissemination, and the teacher.

If you work correctly and make efforts in order to see yourself in a state of bestowal, love, and connection, through the teacher, the study, and by yearning for the Creator, then it operates on you. It is not immediate of course, but gradually you discover that bestowal and love, the best attitude, surround you; finally you understand, feel, and interpret this correctly.

Thus you rise to your first spiritual level. You agree with the Creator and see that all the powers you have invested were for the correction of your perception, for the correction of your vessels. You didn’t have to pay anyone, but you corrected yourself. Thus you have corrected the vessel of perception and now you feel a whole state.

You have to feel the world of Ein Sof (Infinity), the perfection in the current state without changing anything in it, except for your inner attitude. If you don’t feel that, it is a sign that you are cursing the Creator instead of thanking Him and blessing Him.

We can say that about every state, no matter how terrible it is. Nothing changes in reality, except for our attitude, which is called the correction of the vessel of perception.

Fate changes very much as we advance. Each one is given his or her own difficulties, but you should not envy others. There are such internal problems that are not visible from the outside and it may seem that a person has all the best, that his life is successful, and that he has never had any problems with money. However, we do not know what internal or external obstacles, invisible to the external eye, he overcomes. No one gets favors in this.

The more internal the correction, the more qualitative it is, and, thus, it is more powerful in its strength than correction by external problems. It is similar to a worker who needs to labor an entire week to earn the same amount a specialist can earn for a day or even an hour of work. It depends on the root of the soul.

We are engaged in the most important work. It is low, dirty work to correct the world at its most insignificant degree where it is now, and this work is the most special and honorable. We need to feel this, understand it, and give thanks.

We work on our own vessel. All the problems that become revealed to us are the means for correcting the broken unity. Every day I repeat that dissemination is necessary for your own good; that it is your own vessel and you aren’t doing anyone any favors. The Creator does not need your work. You, yourselves, need it first. Otherwise, in what vessels will you get revelation?

However, if a person is stuck inside the breaking and wants to perceive the world from there—not correcting himself—then he is like a child who does not want to grow but demands to be given at the age of two the same things that grownups have. This means that he is delayed in his development and does not use the opportunities that he gets.

Question: Many European countries are in a state of growing separation. What can our European groups do to stop this trend?

Answer: The fact is that separation will continue. Europe will continue on the path of protectionism since problems and unemployment will continue to grow.

The growing mutual separation is a quality of Haman, egoistic qualities, which need to be presented with an opposite quality, the quality of the connection between us.

Also, you will see how people suddenly begin to understand that if they were to follow the path of separation and alienation, they would hurt themselves in a horrible way.

Europe would cease to be a civilized part of the world. These countries need to come closer despite the mutual repulsion. There is no other salvation. This needs to be explained everywhere and discussed during seminars.

All the European groups need to unite into a single group to do this.

Imagine the enormous power that will come from the unity of all the groups from all the countries and the lone students from the different corners of Europe!

You will see that everyone else will speak your words. They suddenly will begin to understand you, and they will advance your ideas independently without even knowing you. They will get this through a common net that you will create between you. Thus, everything depends on us.

This is a wonderful time! Despite all the past problems, try rising above them. Embrace as if nothing ever happened! Leave all the problems below, and you, above them. You must forget everything, get together and start a new life on a blank page.

This is a special state of the higher atmosphere to which we must connect and begin our new life. You will see that this year you will rise. You will gain respect and be valued. The world will regard you as the guide on their journey to the good and right state.

Question: What is the role of the Israeli Jews in the formation of the spiritual forces today?

Answer: Every element, even the smallest one, is made of ten Sefirot. The Israeli nation that has been through spiritual ups and downs is also made of several parts.

There is a part called “Israel” according to its spiritual essence, and it is aimed straight at the Creator (Yashar—El). Those who feel attracted to it belong to this part.

Generally speaking, we are starting the ascent today from the same state that was in ancient Babylon in the time of Abraham when everything was shattered and he gathered people who were attracted to the Creator. Such people belong to GE and the point in the heart (•) is already burning in them.

Then there is the part that is also called “Israel,” but in which the point in the heart is locked (⊙). Although it existed in these people in the past, it is not expressed as a result of the general incorporation.

The next part is the “nations of the world,” people who are ready to join Israel. They understand and feel the message of connection. They have a natural inclination for it, but their “point in the heart” is concealed. We can call them “righteous.”

Then there is the part of the “nations of the world” who are called “sinners” and in which there is a lot of negativity (-), and their point in the heart is hidden too deeply.

This is the general structure, but we don’t separate anything and we take an example from Abraham who spread the wisdom to everyone.

However, we also emphasize several things in our work today; first we have to empower the first part, our group, those who are ready, who can and do understand the importance of the way to the Creator.

Then we have to work with the representatives of the second part since the same point is hidden in them too, whether they like it or not, they have the same stimulation. We have to reach a certain connection with them.

In addition to that, let’s hope that many of “the nations of the world” will join us when they see that we offer them an effective, rational approach.

At the same time, we have to understand that the three lower parts participate in the process without an intention. There is no way they can yearn for bestowal. After all, the intention is only above, in all our friends throughout the world.

A new vessel is actually formed today, a new “Israel” that is born after the shattering and the mixing, after the many reincarnations. Whoever awakens to the Creator stands at the top pulling all the others after him.

The same thing happened in Babylon: People in different places joined the group of Abraham and later they were among the leaders. Another example is Rabbi Akiva, whose parents were not Jewish (they were converts who belonged to the “nations of the world) who joined the nation of Israel. This was his destiny; from the general level of those times, he rose to the spiritual level and surpassed everyone. So it is certainly not a matter of genetics or nationality.

As for the nation of Israel today, we have to make greater efforts than in other parts of the world. We have to first make efforts in our group and among the Israeli nation that is dispersed among the nations of the world. It is very difficult, but we have no other choice, we have to do it since it is the order of priorities in the general system.

We must understand that the future is on our hands. We are the ones who determine it. If we sit idly, nothing good will happen. We mustn’t think about ourselves; we must worry about how to bring the method of correction to people and begin fulfilling it.

The dissemination, itself, is actually the fulfillment. It is because a person changes—his thoughts and desires change, and his attitude to the world—and so, he already bestows. It isn’t the physical actions that are so important here, but the inner changes that affect the spiritual system that manages the world.

So, I invite everyone who is with us to come closer, and what is most important is to invest in dissemination. Today, it concerns Israel first. We can “sweeten” the economic situation and the state of security without waiting for disasters to happen.

In fact, even viewing our lessons has an impact. After all, by that a person “absorbs” the idea of Baal HaSulam and the entire chain of Kabbalists that descends to him from the upper force. He learns about the system of creation and the principles that it operates and is operated by, and thus participates in the process of his own freewill to some extent, and this is his investment.

Question: There are many influential people today among the viewers of our TV channel in Israel, people who are among the decision makers in the country.

Answer: They actually don’t decide anything. The decisions come entirely from the Creator, from the Light, but we can be incorporated there to some extent and make an impact.

In any case, no one determines anything in this world. The plan is very simple. We, humans, are below and above us is the source of Light that brings us bestowal. We can bestow upon the Creator according to the law of equivalence of form (∾). Then the Light that comes makes a turn and already is felt differently by us. We raise MAN and ask the Creator to give us the preparation and the readiness to receive His Light and to be compatible with Him.

The Light is the giver and I am the one who receives. I ask that He will let me bestow a little. If I cannot really bestow, then I want the minimal adaptability, at least, so that there will be a connection between us, so that we will not be opposite from one another.

This is the request for correction that I raise. Then, we begin to act, to connect. Thus, we cooperate with the Light.

However, when we don’t raise MAN, the Light brings us suffering and turns to darkness and terrible sufferings.

There is no other force but the Light, but it operates on us through the front or by its posterior. This means that everything depends on how we receive it. Our action is in preparing ourselves to receive it correctly. It depends on a person and to the extent that he understands, feels, and is ready to advance. Eventually, our awareness must grow.

I do hope that more people will listen to us and will learn what we have to say. Our Internet sites and our TV channel may do the work, and we will not need to look for other channels in order to reach people.

There is a system which in our perception of reality is depicted as the current reality of this world. In it a person has books that were written by Kabbalists in the past, a teacher who is a Kabbalist, friends, the whole world, and the Creator who is concealed, meaning the attribute of bestowal that is opposite from everything a person discovers in his five senses. Except for this attribute, everything is at his disposal.

So how can we use all the means we have correctly, in order to reach the general attribute of bestowal?

It is external to a person, outside his “vessel,” and he can acquire it with the help of three components: books, the group, and the teacher. With their help he fulfills the study, dissemination, and the connection.

The combination of all these things brings a person to turn his vessels, his desires, from receiving to bestowal. He discovers increasingly more egoistic vessels that he turns to “in order to bestow,” according to his efforts and exertion.

What are these efforts and exertion?

A person holds on to the right intention during the study, connects with the friends in the group, and follows the advice of the teacher without which he doesn’t know how to work with the books and the group. On the whole, these three components are called “Torah,” which means a study, a method, a means for attaining the attribute of bestowal.

From that we choose the right actions and the right relations by combining the books the group and the teacher in them. Thus a person reaches oppositeness, by rising “above his reason” above his mind and feelings, towards the next level…

It investigates the political role that religion can play for the unification process of Europe in times of crisis. ‘Rethinking Europe’ is more than an economic challenge. It means searching for ‘a soul for Europe’ (J. Delors). However, it is highly controversial if religion(s) can contribute anything at all to Europe and if so what this contribution may look like.”

My Comment: This is what Kabbalah says. By Kabbalistic definition “Religion is love for one’s neighbor!” Everything else, all the religions and beliefs, are invented by man to evade observing this only law of nature. If Europe accepts this religion, it will survive and prosper; otherwise, it will be lost!

We are controlled by two opposite forces that have to reach the right intensity and resistance in order to enable us to be born into the new world. So a person encounters many interruptions that come from the Creator, and thus feels resentment and anger.

I see this kind of attitude in many of my students as if they are waiting for this birth to occur by itself, as if everything will happen by itself, naturally, and the time will come for everyone to enter the spiritual world. But of course, this will not happen to anyone if he doesn’t have the desires, the necessary vessels. The main thing is to prepare our vessels. How can we prepare them if not by overcoming difficulties and problems?

It’s as if some people are “doing me a favor” in coming to lessons and participating in dissemination, expecting they deserve some reward for it; they want to show me what they have done and how much work it entailed. They don’t seem to understand that they need this work in order to stabilize their spiritual vessel, their soul; but instead, they think that they are doing me or someone else a favor.

There are students who think that by their dissemination efforts they “pay” me, in a way, for the lessons I give. They don’t understand that without building the external circles they will not acquire the vessel of their soul, and they believe that they are making an effort for me.

Thinking this way is is a total lack of understanding: A person has to pay the Creator for having given him a chance to invest his powers in the right actions, which means to build the vessel of his soul. The reward is actually not what he thinks at all; our reward is that we have a chance to work, to exert ourselves and not in order to work and then receive a reward. This is a corrupt attitude that needs to be clarified.
