New Life #652 – The Solution To Terrorism In Europe

New Life #652 – The Solution to Terrorism in Europe
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazuz

Summary

What is the to overcome terrorism; how is it possible to achieve a true European Union, and how can each one of us contribute to the process of healing Europe?

Europe has filled itself with Muslim immigrants. It is too late now to stop the decline. Europe is old and tired, and not prepared to stand against the young and stirring Islamic spirit.

Only connection with each other can help them. Then, the power of connection will stop the forces of evil. No power except the power of connection can neutralize the religious wars that will be building in the world.

The European Union was not made from “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18), but from the consideration of monetary interests. We need to begin to learn to connect within each and every nation first of all, and after that, it will expand.

It is worthwhile to do connection exercises: smile, be considerate, feel small and learn from others, and feel big and provide an example. The daily study of connection must be implemented by each and every person in educational institutions, at work, on television, and on the Internet.

Why will the improvement of relationships between people stop terrorism? It is because connection is stronger than separation.

The highest power in nature from which life is derived is the power of connection and life. This is what created everything.

How Can We Become The Nation Of Israel?

laitman_944Question: The people of Israel are basically very egoistic; each one considers himself the center of the universe. Can we expect radical positive changes in a nation where everyone is focused on themselves?

Answer: This is why it is said that the Jews are a stiff-necked people. There is nothing we can do about that. We were created this way intentionally in order to lead the entire world and to give to the world.

We have given the world so much, and now we must give humanity the method of connection and integral unity, and we must be the ones to do so, although we are so individualistic and so far from it.

Question: Who is “we?” In fact, there are 300,000 Jews living in Israel who are considered of “secondary importance” to the state, such as “half-Jews” and mixed families.

Answer: We do not refer to a people on a genetic basis, but to the people founded on the basis of a 3,500-year-old idea first introduced by Abraham in ancient Babylon.

Question: Who is considered the nation of Israel today?

Answer: There is no nation today. What we call our nation are only people who have reminiscences (Reshimot) from previous generations and who have carried the idea of unity throughout human history. This genetic intellect awakens in them today and demands the attainment of the meaning of life.

There are people in whom the question about the meaning of life is still dormant, but it can appear in people who never have been related to the Jewish people. This means that according to the wisdom of Kabbalah a Jew today is someone who feels an inner desire to discover the meaning of life.

If we unite according to the method of connection and integral unity, not only in Israel but all over the world, there will be no problems.

Question: This implies that basically the entire world can become Jewish.

Answer: It must be so since we are not speaking about nationality. A Frenchman, for example, can be a Jew in ideology.

Question: I am for the idea of seeing all of the people in the world as part of the nation of Israel, but it seems that in Israel there are those who do everything to deny people the right to be called Jews.

Answer: We must establish a different absorption system according to which we can accept all those who want to come here. We will examine their readiness for unity, for connection of equals with everyone, and if a person agrees to that, it is a sign that he is a Jew.

Question: But we cannot base our policy on that.

Answer: I don’t see any special policy here. I see a mass of people who are called a nation that is totally divided. It reminds me of nuts in a bag who don’t want to connect, and it is only the bag that connects them and keeps them together.

Therefore, it is not a nation, not a state, but as the Arabs say, “a temporary Zionistic entity.”

If we were like all of the other nations, internally connected by our natural genes, we would be a state, but we are not connected at the moment, neither by genes nor by ideology. So, there is no nation.

We cannot get along and live with each other, and we only get along when we are pressured from the outside and become like a bag of nuts. However, it is impossible to live under external pressures for a long time since these are merely sufferings and nothing more. What we need is to reach a balance of forces.

Europe Commemorates International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Laitman_006Question: The European parliament along with the European Jewish congress in Brussels held a ceremony to commemorate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The president of the European parliament Martin Shultz spoke in the ceremony and noted that the Jewish community greatly contributes to the culture and the economy of Europe.

At the same time, he also expressed his regret and empathy that the Jews don’t feel safe in Europe because of terrorist acts, violence, and assaults.

What has changed in Europe since the occurrence of such events 70 years ago?

Answer: Everything has changed for the worse. In the past there was no actual threat to the Jews outside Germany and its allies, but today we can say that there is definitely no safe place for the Jews anywhere in the world and that they are persecuted with great enthusiasm.

Both Europe and the US adopt policies that endanger the very existence of the state of Israel and intentionally act to harm its sovereignty in order to promote their interests in the region.

Although president Obama declared on the Holocaust Remembrance Day that we are Jews in spirit, it doesn’t go along with his open anti-Semitic policy and his attitude toward Israel.

Such an attitude toward Jews today is no longer considered bad manners. Humanity has undergone a phase of internal development and now it simply erupts against the Jews even through statesmen and politicians.

Western Europe is infected by the anti-Semitism virus. I understand their situation since the whole world is nearing the solution of its main problem, ascending to the next level of development. Therefore, the current level the world is in a rebirth crisis.

The world has to overcome the labor pains and be born on the next level of unity in every aspect of life: social, political, and economic, and basically accept a totally new format according to the forces of nature that develop us. The problem is that the world cannot advance to a state of unity at the moment since humanity refuses to change.

The Jews are the first to be blamed for that and it is true. Anti-Semitism stems from the nations of the world’s subconscious feeling of total dependency on the Jews who are not doing their job, and the Jews themselves are aware of the fact that they are the root of all the problems in the world.

Question: Recently it was published that extremist left-wing organizations in Israel received donations of about 260 million shekels. Moreover, most of the donations from foreign European governments. Moreover, the same European parliament that held Holocaust Remembrance Day services donated a large sum to their activities. How can you explain that? What do they want from Israel and the Jews?

Answer: This is an internal resistance to the state of Israel, which stands in their way. When the Jews were dispersed throughout Europe and represent a whipping boy, then it is quite normal. But when they have their own government, army, flag anthem, and makeup like every other country, the European countries cannot get along with it. It is clearly seen that they benefit from the existence of the state of Israel, which enriches Europe and the whole world with its advanced technology and innovations.

But this fact doesn’t change the Europeans’ attitude toward the Jews. They cannot allow the nation they hate so much to exist normally, as much as you can call its situation normal.

The Jewish problem is unsolvable as long as the Jews don’t understand their mission: to show all the nations of the world how to continue their development, and while they do not, the world will suffer and the Jews will suffer even more.

Question: Are there any signs that the Jews are starting to understand their mission?

Answer: This perception is given to them with great difficulty. I would say that the nations of the world even precede the Jews in understanding that. As strange as it may sound, the nations of the world are ready to understand, accept, and recognize their dependency on the Jews. The prophet Isaiah said that the nations of the world will bring the Jews to the right state and will carry them to Jerusalem.

Therefore, I am very hopeful that the dissemination of the wisdom of Kabbalah among the peoples of the world will help them influence the Jews so that the latter will understand and recognize their mission and fulfill it. Then the world will be able to ascend to the next good level of development and everyone will live happily and in equality.

New Life 666 – 2015: Good And Bad
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Tal Mandelbaum ben Moshe

We live in an era in which we can influence and benefit ourselves and the world, but we don’t know how to do it. We live in a complicated system and only are familiar with a very small part of it. But we can learn how to manage it. This is what makes the Jews special, and this is the reason that the world hates us. The key to the world’s happiness is in our hands.

The bad relationships between us are destroying the world. We have evil thoughts about one another, and this is why our enemies rise to destroy us. Everything will be peaceful and good in Israel and the world when we want to be good to one another here in Israel. The fact that we have evil thoughts about someone is natural, and we must learn how to rise above them.

As it is written, “Love covers all transgressions.” We shouldn’t argue about who is right and who is to blame, but simply rise to connection.

The Safest Spot On The Face Of The Earth

laitman_960_1Question: After the beginning of the conflict between the Ukraine and Russia, there was a large increase in emigration of Jews from there. Is the threat against the Jews who remained there something that is greater than it is for the rest of the citizens of these nations?

Answer: Without a doubt. As long as we don’t bring the method of union, the world will advance towards even greater separation more rapidly; it will be bad for the Jews everywhere.

Anti-Semitism and hatred will increase and no peaceful spot will remain in the world outside of Israel. And if we don’t begin to do something for the sake of connection and unity in Israel, Jews will travel away from here in search of a better place. But even in other places they won’t find anything. General unrest will begin.

Question: When there are conflicts and clashes in Israel, many young families with children travel from here to ensure the safety of their children, not because of economic considerations. Is this step justified?

Answer: I will answer with an example in my family. All of my close relatives arrived in Israel and from there traveled to Canada. Even before then, in the first years of the revolution, other relatives left Russia, emigrated to England, and have lived there ever since.

During my travels for lectures throughout the world, I have met with them more than once, as well as with the media and ordinary people, and I don’t see that people living abroad are happier, more cheerful and carefree. They have regular lives like everyone.

A person in Israel, even though he complains about everything, feels alive, inner changes happen within him, something within him is constantly turning around. He perceives all as his own, and in no other place in the world does he feel that he is living in his nation, whether good or bad, whether he hates or loves it.

So I don’t think we should leave here, even if you have some justification. Moreover, the same threat doesn’t exist here that would force us to leave.

Question: What about the national [Israeli] news when the media announce the beginning of some operation?

Answer: This is psychological pressure, no more than that. If we consider the last Intifada, that I hope is on the decline, how many people were wounded here in comparison to the number who were murdered in other countries in times of peace?

Comment: I have been thinking about this subject. I love this nation because one of the most important values here is the value of human life; it is much more valued here than in other nations.

Answer: If we were to change the atmosphere so that the connection between people would become good and warm, if people were to begin to feel that they were abandoning a big, united family, nobody would leave.

Immigrants, Angels Of Anti-Semitism

laitman_547_05Question: Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, said that anti-Semitism is a much wider phenomenon than she had thought and therefore we should actively resist it.

She believes that anti-Semitism was brought to Germany by immigrants that don’t like Israel and the Jews. Is this the problem?

Answer: This isn’t the problem. The world’s population isn’t happy with life and thus pressures the Jews who are merely 0.1% of the world population. Humanity sees them as the ones to blame for everything. This is a law of nature; it is spoken about in the books of  Kabbalah.  It has nothing to do with Mrs. Merkel.

Angels are forces of nature, and one of these forces is called anti-Semitism. It is very big, a massive, evil, direct force that is totally controlled by the Creator.

Just like the forces of nature, it operates in absolute accordance with the plan of creation in order to bring humanity to its correct form, which is achieved through reeducation from evil to goodness so that humanity will know what is evil and what is good. And then it will attain the depths of the universe. Humanity has to undergo all phases of its development, and it is the Jewish people that will lead it, a group of people who connected and came out of Babylon in order to advance.

If they fulfill their mission, the anti-Semitic force will gently pull them forward instead of pushing them from behind, pricking, hitting, and burning them. It will spread a red carpet before them so that they will advance and set a good example to the world of how humanity should unite with nature.

He is the reason that the Jews are to blame when humanity suffers, and in fact they are to blame for everything.

Question: Are the immigrants “angels” who help accelerate this process?

Answer: Of course, the immigrants are catalysts that push humanity forward. They fulfill their goal.

Question: Does that mean that they show the world that pressure has to be put on the Jews?

Answer: Absolutely. The perturbed humanity will show the Jews their place in the world.

The Jews will set an example of the right mutual relations and how to resemble nature. If this happens, all of nature and the upper force that manages everything will be revealed. Humanity will understand what it exists for and will begin to acquire its true, eternal, and whole form.

Question: Doesn’t it sound too arrogant that the world has to follow what the Jews do and to help them?

Answer: They will be happy to help. Just as they hate the Jews now and are ready to kill them, so will they love them and help them, because it is the law of nature.

We are also part of this law of nature, and in addition, we can hear from other nations that we are a special people, so how can seven billion people relate to ten million? It is only natural that they believe we are special, but for some reason they don’t envy us.

Secretary-General Of The UN Speaks In Favor Of Terrorism

laitman_552_03Comment: Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon in his appearance before the members of the Security Council said that what is called the “occupied territories” in Israel are an incubator for hatred and extremism. He said that the despair of the Palestinians is increasing under the oppression of the Israeli occupation and therefore their reaction is a natural reaction that is typical of human nature.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded sharply that Ban Ki-Moon is behaving with forgiveness towards terrorism and that UN has long lost its neutrality and moral fortitude.

Answer: The fact that the UN lost its mission is natural; it not an organization of united nations, but an organization of separate nations. Ban Ki-Moon cannot be a protector, not only of Israel, because the internal state he is a born with is “anti.” This is inherent in human nature. He is constantly irritable and nervous about the fact that there is a state and a nation of Israel.

During all the years of the existence of the UN, and especially during the years of his tenure as Secretary-General of the UN, this organization has turned into a circus. For some time now we haven’t paid attention to it, regarding what is said there as unimportant. Newspapers, of course, publish the news about it because this forum is considered to be international, but really it is not a forum. These are people who don’t listen to each other; each speaks his piece and acts only on this basis. Nobody has taken this organization seriously for quite some time now.

I don’t think that we need to give it any special attention. The Israeli Prime Minister is absolutely right. The Secretary-General needs to be straightened up a bit so he gets a sense of reality; after all, he stands at the head an organization that should unite the nations—the United Nations!

In order to become such, we need to change, and the secretary-general and the whole organization need to. While it attracts politicians who only try to wound and humiliate each other, nothing will come of it.

I would invite Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon to our convention in late February to show him how people can unite. He would see how thousands of people arrive from all over the world for a few days at their own expense, taking time from their jobs and their families, to engage in unity between them. Moreover, these people are from all nationalities and races that exist in the world!

There are two million people in the world who are engaged by our system, an educational system for unity and connection between people.

I think the United Nations should explore this system, and perhaps, even apply it.  Then it would really look different and would not lose its value in the eyes of people from year to year, especially in the catastrophic situation that the UN has reached under the leadership of the Honorable Ban Ki-Moon.

It is worth to come and see how we do it, Mr. Secretary-General!

The Struggle With Terrorism – A Postponement Of Death

laitman_272Question: Recently, Israel suffered another terrorist attack: a 24-year-old Israeli woman was murdered in the Beit Horon settlement not far from Jerusalem. This was the third terrorist act in the area of Israeli settlements in Judaea and Shomron recently. Two weeks earlier, a mother of six children was murdered by terrorists, the next day a pregnant woman was wounded, and now there is another tragedy in Beit Horon.

The latest terrorist attacks have provoked a storm of reactions. There is an opinion among the public that firearms should be distributed to all Israeli citizens who are able to carry them. What is your opinion?

Answer: I think that it is necessary to teach the residents how to use a weapon. Most of the citizens in Israel who served in the army know how to handle them. They need to go through a short training and could carry a weapon for the protection of everyone.

Comment: Despite international public opinion, there are those who propose killing terrorists on the spot instead of trying to catch them and hand them over to the police .

Answer: This is correct. There is a law written in the Torah that if someone falls upon you and wants to kill you, you must act ahead of the attacker and kill him first without bringing him to a court. That is the law of the Torah, so why do we need to comply with the laws of the British Mandate or Turkey? Don’t we have the right to defend ourselves from murderers?

Question: What is your opinion about the proposal to destroy the homes of terrorists and the expulsion of their families?

Answer: This is a retaliatory act with great influence since a home is very dear to a person, and if he knows that his family is liable to be left without a roof over their head, he will think twice about whether it is worthwhile for him to become a terrorist and join Daesh. After all, these acts of terrorism are organized by Daesh.

Question: It seems that the Arabs are not afraid of anything anymore if children of the age of 13-15 are taking knives and going out to murder. How is it possible to combat this?

Answer: I would suggest cutting all the propaganda of Daesh in the territory of Israel by every means possible, blocking it from coming through the smartphones, the Internet, television stations, cable, and satellites. Daesh is organizing powerful propaganda so we must take strict measures against them.

The ideology of Daesh penetrates the Arab territories through the media and directs the children to murder Jews. So we must cleanse the nation of all terrorist propaganda; in this way we will deprive them of the opportunity of seeing, hearing, and in general, being in any kind of link with Daesh.

Question: What is to be done about the fact that the people have already become accustomed to repeated acts of terrorism and have become insensitive to it?

Answer: We are not talking about the psychology of the common citizen, but about measures taken by the government, the actions that the police and the army must perform to prevent acts of terrorism.

Although we have become used to hearing about fatalities from traffic accidents, about those who have been wounded or killed by terrorists, this doesn’t mean that we must accept the situation; rather, we must examine the means that the government is taking. If terrorism has become a regular phenomenon, it means that the government is not combating it effectively and is not performing its obligations towards the citizens of the nation.

What are the Communications Minister, the Defense Minister, and the Interior Minister doing? They must act; after all, we are found in a state of war. This is an internal war that is being waged on the territory of Israel. We are not talking about what is happening beyond our borders.

It is frightening to think about what would happen if an external war were to be added to the internal war. Do you know how many weapons the Arabs who are living in Israel possess? So we cannot wait and must act—he who hesitates is lost.

Question: Besides the necessary actions to block the terrorist propaganda through the media and providing security for the residents, what meaningful solution would you suggest for eliminating terrorism?

Answer: The people of Israel must stop this evil in its higher spiritual root. After all, it is said: “No calamity comes into the world except for the sake of Israel” (Talmud Bavli, “Yevamot” 63a), and Israel is not carrying out its mission; this is apparently the reason for the tragedies that are happening in our world.

We must do what is incumbent upon us and carry out a correction at the root of the forces of good and evil that operate in the world, stopping and reining in the spread of the force of evil in our world and counterbalancing it through the good force. In the meantime, the evil force is only continuing to become more powerful and is suppressing the good force until it is almost not visible.

Question: If we can influence the evil force at its root, then why do we have all the rest of the actions for combating terrorism?

Answer: We must do everything that is in our power, both on the physical level and on the spiritual level. We will not be able to instantly awaken all the people of Israel and unite them completely so that we can attract the good force into this world to the degree that it will be ready to neutralize the power of evil. This requires time, and in the meantime we need the police and the army, public education in handling firearms, distributing weapons, and blocking the propaganda of Daesh. Thus we also counteract the forces of evil.

Simultaneously, it is up to us to begin the work of unifying the people. If the government were to help us organize this so that we would have the opportunity to explain how it is possible to have an effect on the evil forces in nature by cutting them off at their root to the entire population, we could succeed without any further actions.

But in the meantime we are forced to act on our own. For example, we invited the Foreign Minister of Sweden to our international Kabbalah convention, which will be held on February 23-25 at the Exhibition Grounds in Tel Aviv. We are investing all of our efforts in awakening the people to correction, and we hope to succeed with this.

China Will Help The Palestinians

laitman_559Question: The president of China,Xi Jinping announced that China will support the establishment of the Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem. Likewise, China granted thirty million dollars to the victims of the war as humanitarian aid, seven million dollars in support of the Palestinian state, and three-hundred million dollars to strengthen the rule of law.

It seems that the world essentially is beginning to accept the Palestinian state, and with China joining, it will become a serious power.

Answer: What choice remains for China? It must follow the other nations. When America, Russia, and the rest of the nations support something, China goes along with them. It cannot allow itself to be in opposition, even though it derives no benefit from this. Although every nation looks to what will be profitable for it, the current international situation obligates China to act practically.

Question: In your opinion, will Israel recognize a Palestinian state?

Answer: It depends on us, on how we behave, not on the policy of our government.

We don’t need to think about whether a Palestinian state will be established or not, rather how to rise to the next level of development and show the world the way.

As soon as we do this, the world will begin to support us and follow us. It doesn’t matter in which geographic area. It is important that the world will begin to see the next stage of its development, which is unity, harmony, and connection between everyone as nature teaches us. So, there is nowhere for us to run. We must reach this.

Question: Must this process specifically begin with the Jews?

Answer: Yes, if we begin to bring the positive force into the world, it will change the way people think, open new horizons to them, and through our world, people will begin to see the next stage of human development and understand what the structure of the world, the economy, the society, and the nation must be. If this would happen, then we would have no fear about whether there will be a nation or not.

Everything will work out so that the Upper Light will pass into this world through us, and then Israel will be a respected and important part of the world community because it is only through us that the ideology and power of the new generation can move into the world, with whose help it is possible to realize this.

The Jewish people have a unique mission that is written in The Book of Zohar, and today it is being revealed to the world. All of us together, the Jews and all the rest of the nations of the world, must realize this mission together. So, let’s reveal it and see how it must be done, so nature won’t force us to this through negative forces.

In Favor Of The Death Penalty?

Laitman_036Question: On Israeli TV Channel 2’s program”Meet the Press,” the question of who can solve the country’s security problem and curb the wave of terrorism wave in Israel was discussed. According to a recent poll, Avigdor Liberman and his decisive policy—the death penalty for terrorists, immediate destruction of homes, and so on—came in first, which is not surprising since people have grown tired of terrorism.

Answer: This is not surprising at all! I understand people who are afraid to go out into the streets and are afraid to let their kids play in the yard or go to school or kindergarten.

They see Liberman as a serious man with a tough and serious approach. When he was a minister, serving in different governments and different offices, his work was always well organized.

Question: Does that mean that he made tough decisions?

Answer: I don’t know if they were tough. What do you mean by tough?

There are people who would cry hysterically if you wave a finger at them. There are those who will remain calm if you beat them. And there are people who will whistle as you put them in front of a firing squad. It depends on whom and how!

Therefore, it is impossible to say whether these are tough measures or not. With regard to the people to whom Liberman refers, these are not tough measures. By the way, they understand it very well and even respect it.

Question: Can the death penalty be enacted in Israel?

Answer: Why not? If there is such a penalty in neighboring countries, why not in Israel? The Torah doesn’t forbid it.

According to the Torah, for example, there cannot be prisons. There is no such concept in the Torah. It is because people come out of there even more corrupt, and this applies to every country.

Question: Then, what? Let’s say that the death penalty would be introduced. Can such a bold policy change the state of affairs in the country?

Answer: Yes, it clearly would change everything. We must put things in order at home. Our country cannot exist as others do. There is plenty to do here.

Whatever we do must be focused on the overall advancement of all of mankind. We must set an example of how we relate to the various manifestations of good and evil. This is our mission!
