A Kli Worthy of Correction

940It is specifically when one becomes worthy, when he inverts reception into bestowal, called “receiving in order to bestow,” there is peace between them (Rabash, Assorted Notes, 240, “Discernments in States”).

A person desires to transform reception into bestowal, and the Creator performs this action.

Therefore, our task is to feel that we want to be in the desire to bestow and to ask the Creator to create this desire within us.

If all the members of the ten wish to receive for the sake of bestowing to the Creator and unite in this shared desire, a vessel (Kli) is formed between them that is worthy of correction and generates equivalence with the Creator.

Question: How can we, in the ten, become worthy of receiving for the sake of bestowal?

Answer: You will certainly achieve this. The Creator will give to you, and you will receive not for yourselves, but for all the other friends in the ten with the purpose of connecting it into one movement back toward the Creator.

Connection of the Force of Reception and the Force of Bestowal

943Question: What does it mean that a person has performed a Zivug (a connection between the force of reception and the force of bestowal)?

Answer: If a person has a desire to bestow and arranges things so that the desire to receive is revealed before him, then when these two desires are combined, a Zivug occurs between them, meaning a combination that brings light into both states.

Question: We understand that without the help from above, we cannot perform a Zivug. How is our active participation expressed in this process?

Answer: Your active participation is expressed in the fact that all of you strive to unite with one another in order to reach a common desire to bestow.

Question: Does going through all the states mean experiencing each and every perception of the friends?

Answer: Not entirely, they experience many states that you do not need to go through. You only need to see how you can help a friend, connect with him, and unite.

Hold on to the Thought of Love

527.03Question: How can I hold the line of wanting to love my friends and bestow to them without waiting for them to love me back throughout the day? Because when some obstacle arises, it is over. I am already in receiving mode, and it feels like I don’t even want to overcome that obstacle. That is, the importance fades, and the goal shifts.

How exactly can I hold onto this thought within the ten?

Answer: You must hold onto this thought, onto the connection between you as if it were a rope keeping you from drowning. If you let go, you will completely forget about your life and its purpose. That is how you need to act.

Question: And if I feel like I cannot overcome the obstacle, can I tell my friends: “Help”?

Answer: Of course, you can. You can fall and cry out. As long as that fall is genuine.

How Can We Correct the Flaws in the World?

938.03Question: The flaws we see in reality are created by the Creator so that we can correct them through unity in the ten and with the world group. How can this be done?

Answer: We try to unite with each other despite being distant and even opposite to one another because the most important thing is to maintain connection with one another.

In this way, we measure the height of our ascent according to our connection above the problems given to us by the Creator.

Question: How can I see the world group through the ten and participate in it from the ten?

Answer: This is a challenge. For this, we need to advance further.

Read Your Heart

938.07What can a person enjoy during the lesson? A person can enjoy the fact that today he is much closer to his friends than he was yesterday.

To achieve a deeper connection with the Creator and to bestow to Him, you need to open up more to one another.

Then a greater Kli (vessel) will form, and you will feel each other more deeply.

In the group of ten, there is no need to reveal anything except the heart—what you desire in your life!

Question: But in our work, we rarely talk about this. We write prayers and read articles. How do we correctly speak about what we desire in our lives?

Answer: Open your heart and read what is written in it.

The Creator Is the Center of the Ten

544Question: What is the common attainment of the Creator’s thoughts in the ten?

Answer: To attain the Creator means to attain the upper force of nature. The common attainment of the Creator’s thoughts in the ten is the common alignment of all participants’ thoughts toward one another and from their center toward the Creator.

Question: We have often read that everyone can point to the Creator in the center of the ten. How can this be done from our collective feelings when we gather together?

Answer: It is good that you have such a question. Try it. Perhaps not immediately, but gradually, you will be able to direct your heart or your pointing finger toward the Creator. This is the center of your group—nothing more, nothing less.

Accept Friends as Our Inner Qualities

938.03Question: When we conduct a workshop in our ten, because we know each other, we feel each other’s qualities and what they can add to the circle. It feels like very internal and intimate work. How can we work when we hear answers from friends from the other tens?

Answer: We must try to accept them as our internal qualities, and feel them that way. And they will feel you in themselves in the same way. You must accept what your friend says and what he feels as if it were coming from you.

Question: Let’s say I am at a workshop with a friend: he says something, and I am trying to feel it. How do I accept it as mine?

Answer: As closely as possible, as if it were happening inside you. This is how you should treat each friend in the ten and all of them together, because the ten is your soul. Only for now do you feel it as something outside of yourself.

When you begin to feel it as something within you, then through this you will come to a connection with the Creator. He will reveal Himself within your connection as the one who creates and fills it.

Strive Only for Good

022Question: How do we reveal our evil inclination? Is it individually or together in the ten?

Answer: We do not need to reveal the evil inclination. It will be revealed to the extent that we can work with it.

We should strive only for good: for good inclination, for good roots, for good actions. And the evil inclination will be revealed in us according to how strong we are to overcome and correct it.

Question: But it does not reveal itself more than we can overcome?

Answer: Yes, that is correct.

Turn to the Ten

528.01Isaac said to put order in all the follies, meaning he raised all the calculations of sleep, roasting, and eating to Kedusha (Rabash, Assorted Notes, 560, “Generations”).

Question: How can one begin to raise such things to holiness and should this be done?

Answer: Of course, we need to constantly do this, to raise our connections, our thoughts, our desires, and our intentions higher and higher to the Creator, to holiness, to the quality of bestowal and love. We will try to do this as much as possible.

This is a process where we wish to receive fulfillment from the Creator for our thoughts and desires.

Question: In order to do this, does a person need to agree with the ten or can he begin this work independently?

Answer: He can do this independently, but it is better if he first agrees with his friends. After all, the Creator does not respond to individual requests. He needs the entire Kli. Therefore, before each action, you must turn to the ten.

Seek Balance

232.05Question: What is the balance between receiving and bestowing forces in the ten? How can one achieve the correct balance?

Answer: This doesn’t happen immediately, it’s a gradual process. A person must examine all their actions, both in good and evil inclinations, in egoism and in bestowal. Once they do this, they can be confident that they are properly discerning between them and acting with good intentions for the Creator or if bad desires remain for the sake of the Sitra Achra (the other side).

In any case, your actions, even if incorrect or egoistic, will still reveal to you where you are and what needs to be done.
