Answer: Let us say you had a good relationship with someone and then you broke up, i.e., you somehow separated from each other, can no longer be together, and do not have the connection you used to have. This is an example of before and after.

Now try to see how you can restore the former ties above hatred, all the way to love. This is how it works. The Creator deliberately broke us up, separated us, and distanced us, so that we would try to overcome this distance, oppositeness, and contradictions, and thus return to the previous state of unification, but 625 times stronger.

Then the small light we once had will multiply by five, by another five, and by another five to become 125 times greater than the small illumination supporting us now. It will turn into the light of Yechida that gathers and unites us.

We must go through all these stages. There is nothing to fear; the main thing is the principle of our work. The hardest part is the first degree. Then everything will start to move; the principle is the same.

Question: Where exactly do we feel the existence of the Creator, the reality of the Creator, the hand of the Creator? At what point?

Answer: This is felt in the heart of a person who really wants to have a heartfelt connection with his friend, with his group.

Question: What is the connection between bestowal and faith above reason, and what is primary here?

Answer: Faith above reason is the Kli (vessel) that we create, and bestowal is the force, the work of the Kli directed at each other and at the Creator. We will gradually begin to feel all this.

Question: If I see all the friends in the ten as the Creator, does this mean that I am building the Kli of faith above reason?

Answer: Yes. The only question is, is it really so or are you deceiving yourself. But we are yet to learn to check ourselves, to measure, and to weigh faith above reason. And so we will move forward. Each stage will be different both in content and power.

Question: Is it called faith above reason when I already feel love toward the ten and that it is not a game?

Answer: In this case, it is considered that you must ascend to the next step.

In regards to the next step, you are still in an egoistic state. You will again have to apply the same methods as the rest, that is, to ascend by faith above reason because everyone who is higher, his egoism is greater. We cannot escape this work; it is the same for everyone.

Question: How does one understand correctly what the group wants from me?

Answer: The group wants you to annul yourself, stick to it and become one with it. From the side of the group, this should be a requirement, an expectation from each of its members.

Question: What does it mean that my desires are needed only to fill the desires of another?

Question: When rejection from friends appears, how should one work with it practically?

Answer: It is very simple: clench your teeth, raise the greatness of the Creator and the greatness of the goal to the point that you thank Him for giving you such contradictions and disturbances because it is now clear to you that by rising above them, you are rising to Him.

In our world, in our states, there is nothing more correct, more reasonable than when a problem is put before us. In this case, it is clear to you that if you overcome it, you will get closer to the Creator. That is, it is a hint and help from the Creator.

My influence on the friends that passes through the common Kli (Adam) returns to me. In this return to me, there is also my effort to rise above myself, the desire to be in faith above reason and in mutual guarantee for others.

There are already some desires with intentions and efforts, as if we are starting to organize a spiritual Partzuf. There is a restriction and a reflected light when I do not want anything for myself but only for my friends, and, according to my efforts, I receive the forces of bestowal and connection from above.

And although it does not seem like a special spiritual action to us, all the elements of the Partzuf, the structure of the soul, already take place in it. Gradually, all this will develop and we will see in ourselves, in our friends, in our common Kli, and in all of humanity how it all settles in us and transforms.

Therefore, the implementation of the rule “faith above reason,” is the main one. And mutual guarantee (Arvut) is designed to help fulfill it and lead us to a state where we all will all be connected together. A loner will never be able to perform a single spiritual action if there is not at least one more friend next to him whose advancement he cares about.

We ourselves cannot pull ourselves by the hair out of the swamp we are in. We can only help others, and  through others ourselves, and so to each other. Therefore, this principle is called “mutual guarantee.”
It is said that only by fulfilling mutual guarantee toward all of mankind, will we consistently and gradually lead the whole world to correction and to the revelation of the upper world in everyone.

Question: What should I do if envy of my friends irritates me?

Answer: Get annoyed and try to appreciate what makes you angry. Envy can make you close your eyes to your friends so that you don’t see them and envy them. Or maybe, on the contrary, it can push you forward in order to study more and do something in order not to envy your friends but at least to be like them.

Question: Why is envy of friends considered an advancement; this is a property of egoism?

Answer: But they are big! They are on target! A lot of them! If I try to get closer to them, to join them—and envy is that quality when I want to get what they have—then I will get from them the desire to glorify the Creator, to get closer to the goal, to unity. Envy is a very good quality.

In principle, there are no bad properties at all, it all depends on how you use them. You will see how, with the right correction, the most terrible properties suddenly turn into absolutely positive ones. Now we cannot even imagine it, and then we will see the world as absolutely kind.

But where will anger, hatred, betrayal, neglect and other negative qualities disappear? We will see how this is corrected and by no means disappears. It just cannot be explained, just as it is sometimes impossible to explain to another where we think we are right and he is wrong. But some time passes, and suddenly he begins to understand that all this can be different.

So everything is ahead. The most important thing is not to deny anything, not to neglect anything; try to unite with the friends in the group in all their qualities. Forcibly do not remake anyone, only yourself.

Question: How can we aim our minds and hearts to go above reason and represent the qualities of the Creator?

Answer: Aim yourself to be in connection with your ten. Make it so that such relationships are formed between you that you will make one common whole.

It seems not to be possible. But if you understand that you must rise above egoism in a rational, systematic way, then you will be able to create such conditions. Do this and you will all of a sudden feel that the Creator lives in you. He reveals Himself to you.

Question: Does above reason mean above my desires and my feelings? What should the action above reason be if we still have not developed new feelings?

Answer: We should act in such a way as if we are already in the spiritual world, in the quality of bestowal and love, and from this state we move forward.

Our imagination is our desire, our pressure, when we try to do things together. This is what creates the prerequisites for the upper light to influence us and to build us in such a way.

Rabash, “The Agenda of the Assembly – 2”: This means that if two friends sit together and contemplate how to enhance the importance of the Creator, they already have the strength to receive enhancement of the greatness of the Creator in the form of awakening from below.

It is enough for us to simply sit together and think about how to raise the importance of the Creator in our own eyes, and by this we become strengthened by His greatness. We should think more about how important the Creator can be in our eyes. Accordingly, we will be able to move forward.

In the group, you can talk about everything but in such a way that at the beginning and at the end of the conversation we connect with the Creator and with the goal.

We should start the discussion with the fact that this will lead us to the goal, guide us, and bring us closer to it. And we should end with the fact that we check how much what we have just discussed has brought us closer to the goal.

Only this is taken into account, and we should pursue only this.

Only to the extent that I can feel the greatness of the goal in my friends will I be able to get closer to it. I can cultivate, develop, and draw it in myself as much as I like, but this will not help. I should affect the group, and the group should affect me.

To this extent, I will be excited by the greatness of the goal possibly to the point that it will begin to be revealed to me.

Rabash, “Concerning Above Reason”: The envy that he feels toward the friends when he sees that they have better qualities than his own. It motivates him to acquire their good qualities, which he doesn’t have and of which he is jealous.

You probably remember how your mother told many of you in your childhood: “Play with this boy and not with that one because you will learn something good from this one and from that one, on the contrary, only bad.”

The problem is that we need envy and to use it properly. We are surrounded by friends who have very good properties for spiritual advancement, but we are not jealous of them. They might even repel us physically, outwardly, or in some other way.

We need to overcome all the rejections in our world in terms of appearance, habits, movements, and everything that can repel us from a friend. The most important thing is to start envying them regarding their goals and capabilities.

Only then will I be able to approach them, attach their aspirations to myself, and accumulate a sufficient number of such desires from my friends so that I will form a whole Kli, vessel. Therefore, envy develops our Kli and allows us to make it large and universal.

Question: Don’t I belittle my friends if I ask for correction for them?

Answer: By no means. Because none of us can ask for ourselves. This will not work, but will only push a person who prays for himself away from the Creator. And he who asks for others receives first.

Question: When I see my friends uncorrected, how can I exalt them? Is it just through playing, annulling, and praying, or is there some other means?

Answer: As soon as I see the friends as uncorrected, I must be horrified by my properties in which I see them as such, and immediately, proceeding from this, ask the Creator for correction, not in order to correct myself, but in order to see my friends as corrected in my corrected properties. It hurts me.

Question: How do I know if I am trying hard enough to connect in the ten?

Answer: Include yourself in the ten and the ten in yourself so that there is no distance, no lack of thoughts, no lack of desires, and no lack of connection between us, for our connection to be absolute, “face to face” (Panim le Panim).

And then, oddly enough, in this state we will find the Creator because He does not need a place.
