Toward a Single Goal

938.01Question: What quality of connection should be in the ten in each state so that it corresponds to the revelation of the Creator?

Answer: The most important and correct thing is to unite everyone with everyone and all together.

Question: How do you learn to connect your thoughts and desires with the ten in a strong bond so that there is only one goal: to bring contentment to the Creator?

Answer: To do this, you must get out of yourself, incorporate yourself into your friends, and strive toward the Creator.

That is when all your efforts will lead you to a common goal and common unity.

“Gathering Sheaves”

631.4Omer comes from the words “gathering sheaves,” which means connection.

The world is called “the six days of action and Shabbat [Sabbath],” which are seven Sefirot, and there is Hitkalelut [incorporation] of the Sefirot. Therefore, we must connect ourselves to the Creator on all the days of the years of our lives, which are seventy years, implying that each year comprises ten Sefirot. Rabash, Notes 938 “Concerning the Omer [Count]

“Gathering sheaves” means to connect with each other so as to be in one bundle. Then we will be able to feel the attitude of the Creator toward us in this bundle (sheaf).

We all desire to reach one goal, and therefore we must strive only for it so that all our desires connect together. But it is the Creator who does this because we are not able to do it ourselves.

Question: How can we connect with the Creator in such a way as to acquire the quality of a certain Sefira from this sheaf?

Answer: It depends on the soul of each of us, on the desire of each person. For example, in striving to meet the Creator I attain Him in one way, and you follow your own path and attain Him in another way. But overall, each of us attains the root of our own soul.

Question: But the qualities in this sheaf, these Sefirot, are they still common?

Answer: Each person has their own.

Question: How can I reach a certain quality from the seven Sefirot as a result of connecting our different qualities?

Answer: You should only strive for connection, and what will result from it, what will be revealed to you from your connection with the Creator, you will see for yourself.

So that Connection Will Not Disappear

938.05Question: How can we bind ourselves to the Creator so that we won’t  break away from Him, at least for a long time?

Answer: When you are connected to each other and at the same time with the Creator, and you constantly monitor this connection so that it does not decrease in any case but only increases, then gradually you will form a permanent connection with the Creator.

Question: What does it mean to monitor this connection?

Answer: Make sure that it does not disappear anywhere.

Invest Efforts Correctly

524.01Question: When attempting to implement bestowal to friends, sometimes we reveal a discrepancy. It turns out that we try to give the wrong thing, in the wrong way, or at the wrong time. How should we properly correct such situations?

Answer: When we intend to help someone or give something back to them, we focus only on our intentions.

Therefore, we cannot precisely measure who has a greater or lesser intention. We should try to do everything within our power.

Question: We try to work for the sake of bestowal, but when we make some decisions, not everyone immediately joins in. There are active friends and less active ones. Is it right to show initiative or should we wait until others join in?

Answer: You should show initiative and pull the less active ones along by your example, effort, and in any way possible.

To Perfection

938.04Question: In order to achieve perfection in life, we must correct sins through connection. How can we keep the unity in connection so that the light of correction would work with us?

Answer: We just have to constantly think about how we can achieve greater unity between us and figure out how we can get even closer. You will see how it will work.

Question: Will the transition from a broken state to a corrected one be immediately felt?

Answer: Relatively quickly.

Question: How can we use the corrected state properly?

Answer: You will then see what grows out of it.

Increase the Intensity of Work

630.2Question: You said that we collect the face of the Creator from the states we go through, which apparently include work with the group, the teacher, books, and so on. How can we consciously build this snowball more quickly?

Answer: It depends on the intensity of your work, how many times a day each of you turns to the Creator, how often you unite with each other and turn to Him, and so on.

Question: Does it mean that all our work consists of the desire to participate in something that cannot be changed?

Answer: No, we do not think that anything can be changed. We are interested in how we should change under the influence of the Creator. This is the main thing.

How Can You Stop Being a Receiver?

942Question: When I nullify myself before the friends, trying to change my understanding that I control something in life to the understanding that the Creator controls everything, how can I integrate this into corporeal life? It seems that this desire is still egoistic because I am asking for myself.

Answer: Continue the spiritual work on yourself, and you will gradually see your thoughts change, how you can ask not for yourself, but precisely for your friends.

Ultimately, this will lead to you ceasing to be a receiver, and you will only bestow.

Know How to Ask

239Question: It isn’t clear how the Creator helps us. I see that I receive everything for myself and ask Him to help. How do I receive this gift of gratuitous action from the Creator?

Answer: A person develops such desires and qualities that can work for bestowal.

Question: If I cannot do something, for example, wake up for a lesson and ask the Creator to help, will He help me wake up in the end?

Answer: If you ask, He will help.

Question: Can I ask for a friend to receive such strength?

Answer: Of course. Keep asking. Ask for your friend, for yourself, so that you know how to ask.

Increase Spiritual Deficiency

528.03Question: How can we make a spiritual deficiency as tangible and intense as our corporeal deficiencies?

Answer: It depends only on you. If you want it, you will feel how immense your desire for spirituality is. You just need to reveal it.

Question: Can we create this “really wanting it” by inflating the importance of each other?

Answer: Yes, but only by being connected with your friends.

Question: How can we cultivate spiritual deficiencies (Hisaron) in the ten?

Answer: It is simple. Try to strengthen your desire for unity, the desire for spirituality so you will receive what you desire. You increase your desires for spirituality by discussing this with each other, as it says: “Each one shall help his friend.”

Questions about Spiritual Work—136

281.02Question: A big gap is growing between my mind and my heart. The more I strive for bestowal in my mind, the more I feel I do not have this desire, and this causes great suffering. I do not know how to move forward.

Answer: The Creator gives you this specifically so you can strive to Him with great zeal in prayer.

Question: What does it mean: Malchut expands to the border of light, and acquires and absorbs its qualities without any restrictions?

Answer: Since Malchut can carry the qualities of light through itself, it causes such an expansion in itself that it takes in all the light of infinity.

Question: Sometimes you want to pray for the whole ten, and sometimes for each one individually. What pleases the Creator more?

Answer: When you pray for everyone, for the whole group.
