Management And Leadership

269Question: Comparative analysis of a leader and a supervisor or manager makes it possible to better understand their functions.

The manager (supervisor) supports, while the leader develops. The manager focuses on systems and structure, the leader focuses on people. The manager relies on control; the leader inspires confidence. The manager asks how and when, while the leader asks what and why. The manager looks at the profit; the leader looks to the future. The manager does things right; the leader does the right things.

Do you agree with these statements?

Answer: In general, this is true. You can add that the leader is a philosopher, the one who paves the way, while the manager executes, knowing how to organize the necessary team on the spot to perform specific tasks. It may even be a head of state.

A manager has the ability to set goals correctly and specifically. These goals must be measurable because what cannot be measured cannot be controlled.

A leader has the ability to see the future and pass this vision on to his subordinates, managers, who turn it into concrete plans, specifications, and work on implementation.

Question: Is the leader’s vision a natural skill or can it be acquired?

Answer: People are born with it. They are born as leaders, or as good executives, or managers. These are completely different mindsets, psychologies, and perceptions of the world.

A manager is engaged in planning activities, time constraints, determining responsibilities and priorities. A leader is not only responsible for the results, but also bears personal responsibility, he inspires and motivates.

Guide For Round Tables, Part 10

528.04Round Table: Need for an Educational Base

Remark: The further we go, the more I understand that the method of round tables, which is used in many industries, requires a lot of training.

Before you put people in circles, you need to give them some kind of educational course. Today, we can offer a round table just to strengthen connections but not to resolve serious conflicts at the national level.

My Comment: You can’t put together a round table of members of the Knesset. First, they must go through a long period of training and re-education. Only then can they be seated at a round table. Only then will they be able to develop truly reasonable state decisions.

Question: Can circles be used just to strengthen connections?

Answer: What does “to strengthen connections” mean? If they end correctly and if they finish in determining some disagreements, reservations, then why?

Remark: But we have already held round tables in the masses and people felt quite mutually involved and happy.

My Comment: Maybe they were pleased that they expressed their point of view. But whether they listened to others at the same time is a question. In any case, it is desirable that they have a strong educational base.

Are There Conflicts In Nature?

630.1Question: In psychology, conflict is defined as a contradiction, a lack of agreement, between two or more parties. Conflicts exist not only between civilizations, states, nations, religions, but also within a person himself. Especially now when the world is in crisis.

How would you define conflict? What is its essence? Are there conflicts in nature?

Answer: The entire nature of our world is built upon conflicts, upon the combination of two opposites, to what extent, being against each other, they can win, influence, destroy, or, conversely, be in a certain balance. If you think about whether it is possible at all to exist outside of conflicts, then you can come to the conclusion that nothing can be done, this is our life, and we must be in greater and greater disagreement among ourselves until the end of time.

However, the wisdom of Kabbalah does not think so. It says that, on one hand, our nature is a terrible egoistic desire of each and everyone to rule over others, which is the cause of all kinds of conflicts. But, on the other hand, we have the opportunity to educate ourselves so that from these opposites we can reach mutual agreement, and over all conflicts stretch a network of connections, as it is written: “Love covers all transgressions.” Then we can live on good terms with each other.

We could never achieve this. To be honest, we have not even tried to implement this technique. But it does exist.

530Rise Above Opposite Opinions

Remark: When talking in circles, rejection is very common, especially if someone says things that are contrary to my opinion.

My Comment: You should be happy to identify opposing opinions because by rising above them, we can reach the next level of problem solving.

As much as I think that the problem is unsolvable, as much as I feel that we are not able to rise above it due to huge contradictions, we should understand that this problem has a special mission, a special value.

If we can’t come to a common agreement, we must continue to work on it with respect for this problem because in the end it can take us to the next level of completely different solutions, different states.

528.01Round Table: Common Opinion

Question: When holding round tables, there should be no disputes or criticism. You can criticize the idea itself, but not each other. Should criticism be constructive?

Answer: Arguing and criticizing are not allowed, only clarification of the opponents point of view and meticulously clarifying why he thinks this way and not otherwise.

Question: What should we do if after clarifications two or three opinions are formed?

Answer: Continue scrutinizing until you find something in common. Or you can come to several conclusions, but they should express the general opinion of all, which led to two or three decisions. In one case, like this, with another, like this, and with the third, like that.

Question: If we decide at a round table where to hold an event, such as a picnic, then coming to two or three opinions does not matter much. And if we are solving issues at the national level, must we come to one opinion, to one decision?

Answer: The round table must end with a clear resolution.

Question: Who says the last word: the chief, the president, the moderator of the circle?

Answer: Nobody. A round table can’t end with someone’s single opinion, otherwise it’s not a circle!

Question: Let’s say we are deciding whether or not to introduce a quarantine in the country and we come to two opinions. What’s next?

Answer: This is the end of the round table and the decision will be made outside the round table. How else could it be? It is impossible to bend a round table under some sort of a straight line!

Question: So if you are, say, the minister of health, and I am the minister of economy, and we have not come to a single decision, then we go to the president, and the final decision is up to him?

Answer: Yes. This was the end of democracy. The president is already deciding exactly what to do.

From The Heights Of Olympus

272Question: Should a leader show his weaknesses because he is also a person and not a super machine?

Answer: No, this is not required from the leader. The leader must show higher goals.

And the manager, leader, any boss, must show that he knows how to control a situation, knows how to perform specific tasks, and at the same time must take care of providing the performers with remuneration for the work done.

Question: Should people follow the example of the leader? Or should he remain out of reach?

Answer: In general, he must remain unattainable, inspire people from afar, from the height of his Olympus. Of course, he does not need this at all, but he must specially be on Olympus in order to inspire those under him.

Resolving The Current Generational Conflict

627.2Question: The conflict between fathers and children has been going on for generations. What is the main feature of the current conflict?

Answer: The current conflict is that children must rise to a very different level of existence from that of their fathers. They must, in connection with each other, reveal the next stage of development, the upper world, which the fathers did not yet attain. Their fathers were subconsciously striving for this, but they did not know exactly how to define and form this stage. And children today have this opportunity.

Question: What or who can connect fathers and children?

Answer: The goal that stands before everyone, through which we must pass and reach the absolute state.

Should You Listen To Your Inner Voice?

511.01Question: They say that the most complex decisions are made by a person intuitively and only simple decisions are made consciously and logically. What is intuitive decision making?

Answer: I don’t know if it is worth talking about this topic at all. There is no need to drive yourself into some semi-gloomy state when the irrational part of the brain acts.

Question: Don’t you make decisions intuitively?

Answer: Never. I am a very simple, mechanical person, and I always choose solutions based on what can be learned from wise ancient books.

Question: So, you don’t listen to your inner voice when making decisions?

Answer: No. How can I trust some inner voice, some subconsciousness in myself? No way.

I usually get up at one o’clock in the morning, long before the lesson I give at three o’clock in the morning, and I think about solving a certain problem. I do not rely on intuition, but I try to enter into its solution the way that our ancient teachers advise.

How To Compensate For Contradictions Between Generations

571.03Question: How do intergenerational conflicts affect the entire system in a global, interconnected world? Will this difference increase or decrease?

Answer: The difference will grow depending on how generations solve problems of interaction between themselves and within themselves. In this state, they will affect the overall picture of nature, which, in turn, will affect them.

I hope that at the same time, the intelligence of humanity will grow and thus compensate for the contradictions between generations.

Intimate Relationships Have Become State Treason

627.2Remark: North Korea has declared war on intimate relationships between teenagers. The head of North Korea Kim Jong Un declared intimate relationships in adolescence was treasonous and announced plans to make it a punishable offense.

According to the head of the DPRK, sex between teenagers is “immoral sexual deviancy,” and it is caused by “decadent capitalist influences.” Control began in schools.

My Comment: Good education is not built on violence. In addition, today young people between the ages of 14 and 15 are such teenagers, if you can call them teenagers, that in our time people were at the age of 20. Of course, it is very difficult to keep today’s youth from all kinds of sexual relationships because everything is open. They have the Internet, but people are still people..

Question: What should replace their fervor that naturally pushes them toward each other?

Answer: I think that it cannot be replaced because the desire for sexual satisfaction is very strong in a man, especially in a teenager. Of course, I would give them a very serious education.

Question: What would you teach them?

Answer: Everything! Anatomy, physiology, psychology, sexology, what a man and a woman are, what birth is. I would definitely teach and show everything through all sorts of movies. There is nothing to hide. That only makes it worse. They will be busy with it even more, and they will acquire all kinds of misconceptions. The forbidden fruit is sweet. I would definitely open all this.

Question: Where would they come to as a result?

Answer: Where they are now, but in a normal form, without any distortion. They would know how they are built, what nature requires of us, what our psychology is, so that we behave correctly, that we are pleasant people for ourselves and for others, so that we are not ashamed of all this.

Just raise it from the level of secrecy to the level of frankness. You will see that all this has a completely different taste, a completely different attitude.

Question: Would they come to the correct connection?

Answer: Yes, there must be a correct connection. It still does not exist today. Still today sexology, anatomy, physiology, and psychology of correct sexual intercourse are not taught correctly.

Question: Would you include into this understanding what friendship is and what love is?

Answer: Yes, it “clothes” in this. Then both friendship and love will be human components. Human, not animal! If I am hungry, should I eat? So, I should have this as well. This is what my body requires, what can I do?! I think only about this. Food and then sex, that is all.

Question: Would friendship and love then clothe in this base?

Answer: This does not relate to physiology that much. Then you need to understand how to put it together.
