552.02Principles of Team Building: Seeing Your Flaws in Others

Question: The sixth rule: everyone judges the friend according to his own flaws. This is a very ancient principle.

At that moment when a person clearly sees the flaws of the other, what can cause him to understand that this is his uncorrected perception?

Answer: Only public opinion. If everyone around him understands that everyone sees in the other his own flaws, his own corruption, he begins to gradually understand that this is really so that he does not see anyone but himself. Thus, he begins to correct himself.

Question: Are there any exercises that will help me realize that this is in me?

Answer: Only if you hear it from others. It all depends on public opinion. You do not see yourself. You always see others, rather, yourself in others.

Will Online Communication Lead To The Severing Of Social Ties?

laitman_962.8Question: Now everyone is talking about the emergence of online professions, in particular, a digital transformation. Everyone learned how to use Zoom. In general, a large-scale digitization took place in two months.

How can one remain a full-fledged member of society if, in online professions, you will constantly interact with a computer, with numbers?

Answer: I do not see any problems here. Many of my friends, despite the coronavirus, continue to work from home. Most of them love it. And the enterprises themselves like it too because this is a big budget saver.

I think that the majority of enterprises will develop in this direction. A person will work from home.

I also switched to such a job. Previously, up to 500 or 600 people gathered in our center every morning, not counting those in different parts of the world who connected to our broadcasts. And for the last few months I have only been teaching online, and I must say that the number of people is only constantly increasing, and everyone is happy with it.

Question: Do you think that the severing of social ties due to online communication will not happen?

Answer: I think, on the contrary, new, correct, good social connections will appear. And breaking past ties is only for our benefit.

“How Will Coronavirus Change Consumer Behaviour Forever?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: How will coronavirus change consumer behaviour forever?

The coronavirus put spokes in the wheels of the egoistic-competitive paradigm that we had accepted as the norm until recently.

It is because we have reached a point in human development where we need to start growing beyond our egoistic human nature, the inclination to personally benefit at the expense of others.

In other words, our present era is characterized by nature pressing upon us to enter into balance with its interconnected and interdependent form, and thus, it is no longer tolerant of our abuse.

As such, businesses involving the exploitation of people and nature will gradually disappear. The days of opening any business we want—with profit motives at the forefront, and social and ecological considerations in the background, if at all—are over.

We thus have a major undertaking ahead of us. It requires none less than to balance with nature, i.e., to adjust our attitudes to each other in adaptation with the integral relationships among everything existing in nature.

As nature functions according to laws of altruism and interdependence, so too we need to upgrade the quality of our relationships—from egoistic to altruistic, divisive to well-connected—in order to experience healthy, safe and happy lives, balanced with nature.

We have interesting times ahead of us. I think that when we eventually become freed from the pandemic’s conditions, we will more clearly feel how there is no return to the steroid-pumped capitalistic framework we were in before the coronavirus entered our lives.

At that stage, I also see us starting to acknowledge the extent to which we have changed.

Where until recently, people respected the idea of increasing profit margins, paying more attention to the digits in each one’s respective bank accounts than to other people’s well-being, I think more and more people will despise such a tendency.

We will enter into a difficult and confusing period. There will be a a lot of effort put into trying to revive the pre-coronavirus world together with an increased distaste with that world.

Businesses and consumer habits will become more essentials-focused, and people will hold to more normal universal values.

As we head into the future, people wanting to run businesses will need to think very hard about whether and how their business will provide people with something they really cannot do without.

Nature itself will no longer let us splurge in surplus leisure. High unemployment will sweep through societies and the unemployed will be unable to find work that deals with nonessential goods and services.

Governments will be faced with a major problem in terms of what to do with their vast unemployed populations.

I have proposed a model, which recommends paying these people a stipend that covers their needs in exchange for engaging in a new form of education that teaches how to live harmoniously in today’s interdependent reality—the kind of education absent from the schooling system that raised us.

The rest of the the population will be engaged in needed and vital work for humanity, and not in work for the sake of profits, riches and individualistic success at the expense of others.

I sincerely hope that we arrive at such a setup sooner rather than later, because we will reach it one way or another.

While we perceive ourselves as separate from nature, able to seemingly think and act freely, we simply fail to see that we are nature’s parts, and nature is guiding us to match its laws with or without our awareness.

We have reached a stage of development where we experience nature’s disagreement with our excessive exploitation of its resources and of each other, in the form of the coronavirus. And I see this pandemic as our first major stage of purification.

New Life 1255 – The Evolution Of Employment, Part 2

New Life 1255 – The Evolution of Employment, Part 2
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

Soon many businesses will disappear. The ones that will prosper in the future are those which will promote learning, the practical application of spiritual connection, and the discovery of the upper world. Up until now, we have built science and industry according to the principles of an egoistic nature.

From now on, we will act according to the integral attitude and principles of the circle. This is a revolution in the perception of reality and the unlimited expansion of human evolution. The heart and mind will be focused in the field of connection technology and instruments. The ability to work for the benefit of all of society leads to a feeling of wholeness and eternity, which exists throughout all of nature. There will be such a deep connection that all of us will be “as one man with one heart” in a new world!

New Life 1254 – The Evolution Of Employment, Part 1

New Life 1254 – The Evolution of Employment, Part 1
Dr. Michael Laitman in conversation with Oren Levi and Nitzah Mazoz

The principles of the new world are becoming clearer daily. Our attitudes toward business and life in general have changed. Ultimately, we will become one business around the entire globe. Employees will learn to relate to each other as a single system; they will feel open to one another, interdependent, and connected to each other, and will want to help and participate.

According to the law of integration, if I produce something and there is a business that does the same thing better than I do, I will stop for the sake of the good of humanity. The benefit to the consumer public is what I will focus on and not my personal benefit.

The next step in the world will be to stop producing things that are superfluous and not of use. We will be concerned with maximizing efficiencies for society as a whole. The need for change will come from nature, which is above us, and will lead us to full integration.

Where Should I Donate Money?

Laitman_514.02Question: In the current state of the coronavirus pandemic, billionaires and millionaires are donating huge amounts of money. They even compete among each other as to who will donate the most, and, naturally, announce it. For example, Bill Gates has donated $100 million, Zuckerberg $25 million, Giorgio Armani donated to hospitals, famous soccer players Messi and Ronaldo are also making donations, etc. Is it good that they donate?

Answer: According to Kabbalah, it is unnecessary to bring humanity to a state where there are those who are so poor and so rich. But if they donate, let them.

In general, the very state when there is such a division is painful. Some have $50 to $100 billion, but the poor do not know how to survive until the paycheck comes. This, of course, is a terrible and ugly system.

Remark: Such is our world.

My Comment: Yes. This is how the egoistic world positions itself. What would you do? In this case, it is good that they donate.

Question: What would you use the money for?

Answer: I would direct them only to education, to Kabbalistic education.

Question: To Kabbalistic education?

Answer: Yes, Kabbalistic education.

Question: Is this what you are telling the world now?

Answer: I say this to everyone. The world needs nothing more than to know how to balance itself with nature. It is of utmost importance. Everything else does not matter, we will manage somehow.

So if we can find this dynamic balance that changes all the time, if we can constantly balance it, if we do something to change ourselves and thus balance ourselves with nature, then nothing will ever be wrong with us.

We will always be in a comfortable state to go forward, to understand nature more and more deeply, what it requires of us, what we should become, how we should change ourselves, society, family, how to understand this nature, what it is all about, and what it requires.

Then we can see the higher mind through it and we can enter this mind, get closer to it, feel it, and start merging with it. This is the real highest stage of human development.

Question: Is that what you would spend all your money on?

Answer: All of it!

Question: What is it? Building what? Where would the money go?

Answer: On the development of the person to the level of the highest mind, to the level of the Creator.

Question: Is that from kindergarten to old age?

Answer: Only in this direction.

Question: Is it so that a person would study all the time?

Answer: Not only study. He must learn and implement it in connection with others, so that the Creator would appear among people.

Within this good connection between people, a higher power is manifested according to the extent this good connection resembles a higher power.

Question: Does it take money to get started like this?

Answer: We must create such a system of education and upbringing. This should be done so that people will want it. And even if they did not want to, they would do it as a job.

Where will you put 80% of the working population of the Earth? How will you raise your children? Everything requires a huge amount of money and effort.

Question: Is it so that we begin to feel that we are inside nature and know how to talk with it, how to breathe with it, and conduct a dialogue?

Answer: Sure. Full mutual interaction with it.

Remark: You know what they will say: “Laitman wants money for himself.”

My Comment: What does it have to do with me?

Remark: You said, “for Kabbalah.”

My Comment: I give advice. But you do not need to pass any billions through me.

Question: Will you not be an intermediary?

Answer: No way!

Question: But can you advise where to send it?

Answer: Only advise—through virtual communication systems, Zooms, without any personal contact and shared accounts.

Question: Are you now calling for a revolution in upbringing, education, and thinking?

Answer: If not this, then the next virus will lead us to it, hopefully without a world war in between. We will still come to this.

Remark: You seem to be saying: “Cure not just a person’s health, but their heart.”

My Comment: Sure. Otherwise, we will be unable to get out of this state. The virus drives us to balance with nature. This is what it tells us.

We do not realize it yet. In another month, two, or three we will begin to perceive slowly. Eventually, we will come to that.

Remark: We used to say: “We don’t know if we will witness this.” Suddenly the virus turned our thinking upside down.

My Comment: Sure. I did not imagine that there could be such an effective change in the attitude of nature toward the person, toward human society. Only the Creator can turn everything around like this.

Remark: I hope that millionaires and billionaires will hear us one day. Maybe even now.

My Comment: I hope.

Toward An Optimal Existence

laitman_527.03Question: We often say that overproduction depletes natural resources and destroys the world. The world has cleared up a bit during the pandemic. We hear that the water in Venetian channels has never been so clean. There were dolphins there again that had not been seen for many years.

The issue of overproduction should be resolved practically. Of course, re-education of people and learning the basics of the integral world are important, but you need to eat; someone must produce food. What should we do?

Answer: I am in no way concerned with the production of the necessary goods for living—food, clothing, machines that produce these products—but only to the extent that they are necessary.

The global nature in which we exist will still not let us produce more than is necessary for our normal existence. We will go back and forth, try to push the limits, and it will push us back to our optimal existence.

We do not need jewelry stores, diamond exchanges, and luxury boutiques. None of this will exist. We will see how it will all quietly close down. People will not have any money, nor will they need any of this. Instead, everyone will think about how to live tomorrow and how to come to an optimal and normal future.

Coronavirus: Time For Change

What Does The Virus Point To?

A Glance At Short-Term Perspective

laitman_621Question: How will consumer demand change now during the pandemic? What should entrepreneurs and business start-ups focus on?

Answer: We have come to a state when humanity must grow out of its egoism. Therefore, all clearly egoistic enterprises will gradually fade away. This is a matter of the next few years.

The point is that in the next generation we must reach similarity to nature—integrality and dependence of everyone on everyone. Although it seems to us that the egoistic society is developing, in general it already is in internal stagnation.

I believe that the blows of the coronavirus are the beginning of stagnation. Nature will no longer allow us to do anything we want with it. We cannot open any businesses with impunity, absolutely recklessly, and spoil the environment just to make money and not know what to do with it.

We have a big task ahead of us, to understand how to balance ourselves. I think that with the release from self-isolation, we will begin to feel for the first time that we cannot get back to the usual egoistic, capitalist world, up to the point that we will see how people have changed. We will see that they are disgusted with everything that is associated with the desire just to earn, to suppress others, to be proud of how much money you have in the bank compared to others.

Exit from the crisis will not be easy. People will not really want to go back to their previous lives. They will suddenly feel that it is not easy, that they have some other attitude compared to the pre-coronavirus period. At least we will not be opening barbershops for dogs and things like that on every corner. There will be no unnecessary business. People will be confined to more normal universal values.

Nature itself will no longer allow us to do this, along with the sociological situation. There will be up to 70% unemployment in the world and we will not be able to create completely unnecessary positions for them.

It may not be the future of tomorrow, but Kabbalah suggests that this 70% should be moved to universal education and paid a stipend the size of their salary. The remaining 20 to 30% of the population will be engaged in necessary, vital work for humanity, not in order to sell, buy, and then sell for even more.

This is how I see the immediate future. I very much hope that it will be so because if not now, then after a while we will still come to this.

We are also part of nature, and it will not allow us to further pollute the environment, waste natural resources, and so on because we have already reached a reasonable limit. This is why all kinds of viruses are emerging. We still have many similar surprises from nature ahead of us. I believe that the coronavirus is the first stage of purification for us.

If someone wants to open something or create some business, they should act normally, sensibly, with a strong probability that they are doing something that people need and that they really cannot manage without.

How To Feed Humanity

laitman_547.02Remark: Pope Francis proposed to introduce the concept of “unconditional income,” not only now during the pandemic, when he advised countries to provide all people with a minimum amount of money so that they could exist, but also later, because modern technologies will lead to the fact that billions of people (according to some estimates, five or six billion people) will be out of work.

He suggests that countries should feed their citizens, thereby enabling them to live.

Answer: In the meantime, instead of this, the country is giving money to businesses to revive them, even though they are of no use, they are absolutely unnecessary. It turns out that today the country distributes money, but tomorrow there will be nothing to give, and people will really starve. What will happen then? Starvation, riots, looting, anything imaginable. Billions of people will roam the Earth and rob everyone in turn.

Question: These are the thoughts that come to mind when you analyze what is happening in the world. Therefore, many people have fear, panic, and even the thought of the meaninglessness of existence, the lack of purpose in life, not only for themselves, but for the whole of humanity. What do you say to that?

Answer: What should I say? I don’t even want to talk to people who have such a narrow view of the world. They don’t understand that nature has set conditions for us, and when we don’t meet them, nature gives us a very good lesson. And if there will be two billion people left out of eight billion, nothing terrible will happen.

In general, this is a condition for improving human society. The fact that, let’s say, six billion will disappear, so we only see them as if they are dying. They don’t die. They simply heal the atmosphere, the earth, and themselves from this worthless, meaningless life. And the remaining billions or even less will begin to exist normally, correctly.

Question: Do you think there should be fewer people left on Earth? The current number of people can’t live normally?

Answer: Even Baal HaSulam wrote that the globe could feed twenty billion people. It is no problem to do so. The problem is with the people, not with feeding them.

Question: So if they do not accept the main idea that humanity should change its attitude to life and purpose, then they may become fewer, but this does not mean that it should be so?

Answer: Of course. Everything in order to put humanity on the right path.

Society Still Lives By Past Values

laitman_294.2Question: A month ago, in our conversation about the pandemic, we hoped that everything wouldn’t be so scary. You said that the coronavirus is like a sign to humanity to come to the right interactions.

And now the result for today: If a month ago there were 2 million cases in the world, today—8.3 million. [14.7 million] If the dead were 135,000 , today it is 450,000 [610,000].

In America, the number of deaths exceeded the number of deaths from the 1957 pandemic. Then it lasted two years and 116,000 people died, and today in America over the past two months, 120,000 people have died. This is more than the number of Americans that perished in the First World War, and more than perished in all US wars since 1950: Korean, Vietnamese, Afghan, and all other conflicts combined.

However, no unity is visible. Of course, there are some cases of generosity. America suddenly began to give other countries mechanical ventilators. China claims that once it makes the vaccine, it will provide the whole world with it. But it all smells slightly of egoism, an attempt to prove who is better.

What do you think about this?

Answer: So far, the suffering that humanity is experiencing has led to nothing. People are just waiting for it to end in order to return to their businesses, to lose as little as possible, and maybe even make money on it.

Such an attitude automatically continues to work in us, so I believe that the virus should continue to work on humanity, and very seriously.

Humanity is thinking about how to save old businesses by giving out money for occupations that in the future will be completely inoperative.

Governments do not understand that the time has come to think only about the essentials and to leave everything else to self-education, self-discipline, the restructuring of society. They hope to revive boutiques, jewelry stores, and expensive cars, etc. In short, society is still living by its past values.

Therefore, I do not even see the beginning of this pandemic. Several hundred thousand people have died. For the world, this is not a loss at all. A certain number of people suffer, and the rich profit and are happy with it. So, everything is relative.
