The Path to New Sensations

276.02Comment: You said that it does not matter what material you are given. For example, someone wrote something for you, and it is through the intention that you put power into this text.

My Response: Indeed, I do not care what kind of material. Who cares?

Let’s say we are in a forest. You tell me about a stump, another person tells me about a bird, a third about a flower, a fourth found a mushroom somewhere, and so on. You are trying to tell me or to pull a picture of the forest out of me. So, what difference does it make to me where you start?

After all, I want to tell you about that path in the forest that leads us to the hut on chicken legs. Therefore, no matter what you tell me, I will still transform this information in a way that it is useful for you, and you will be able to correctly navigate the forest.

Question: What I mean is that you put intention into the text. What is “intention” in this case?

Answer: It is very simple! You have a small desire—to find your way in the upper world in which you are practically not present, but your point exists there, i.e., your small desire is there.

If it is not present, then you will sit and listen to me like a cat who supposedly listens to a symphony orchestra playing. And if you have a point in the heart, the rudiment of your next external organ of sensation, then through my sensation of the upper world I include you in myself like a little baby. And you begin to receive some fulfillment, some vibrations that come to you through me.

Actually, you do not even receive them because you cannot have them since there is nothing to receive them in, but they begin to work around you, wash you like waves wash a stone on the shore, roll you around. You begin to gradually change. It seems to you that you are getting fulfilled, that you are changing, that you are beginning to imagine something. This is how you get new sensations.

Sensory Transmission of Information

234Comment: It is very difficult to understand how information can be conveyed, not through words, but on a sensory level.

Answer: Words are general codes and nothing more. You are sitting in one place and I am somewhere else, and we transmit information through words. If we were connected, not by wires, but directly through our minds and feelings, then absolutely nothing would be required.

There are no words inside our brain. There are some forces, synapse switching, and electrochemical processes. What do they have to do with words? They add up to some images.

Baal HaSulam writes a little about it. Basically it all boils down to a very simple interaction of vessel and light.

Comment: Well that would be a programming language, and yet it is still a language.

Answer: We have to somehow express the program, retain it in a way, and transmit it in some form. But in fact, every time there is an image and you want to work with it outside of yourself, you have to express it in some way, convey it so someone receives it and understands it, and so on. But if you are connected with others on the inner level, as if you are one whole, no language is needed. Language is only a transmission.

Question: It is said that Baal HaSulam was ready to talk even to stones. Why did he want to articulate these words through language?

Answer: This means he was ready to talk to any person willing to hear even a little about the purpose of creation.

Question: It was important for him to convey information to his students; whether they understood him or not, it was important for him to bring it into the world. Why did the information have to be given verbally?

Answer: How else can you bring it into the world if the world is not yet able to understand it? The Kabbalist does this through his students. This information will exist in them and will gradually leak through them into the world.

Toward Fulfillment by the Spiritual Source

600.01When you rise above desire it is like you see it apart from yourself. Just like the Creator who created desire, you too look on it from your point in the heart, which is a point of the Creator in you. Just as He created this desire from nothing, so too are you observing it from the side and you operate on it in order to connect with others. Others are also merely just desires.

You include them in that you would want to help them connect together in one system. You reveal that it is really possible to unite here. To the degree that you begin to work for them, connect with them, and get them closer to the common unity, you begin to sense in this system some fulfillment that you could not find before. This is the fulfillment by the source.

When you connect desires of others on the condition that you are ready to serve and fulfill them, then you discover in this common connection that source, the Creator who created your original point in you. And all of this comes together: the humongous common desire and the one single fulfillment of it.

It is like a pot with soup. The pot is us, our common united desire, and the soup is the Creator, the light, the property of love.

As a result, when egoistic desires connect together and form the walls of this pot, then the qualitative and quantitative fulfillment of the pot becomes revealed precisely to the degree the walls are rising up. It is filled by the very source, by the light, by the Creator who is sensed above time and precedes everything that is created and exists.

This is not a psychological annulment of self. All of this remains, but it is perceived as the basis position that is necessary to start working on uniting, on revelation of the Creator—this field, this force, this “soup.”

I think that today we are very close to this state since there are all the preconditions and everything is becoming revealed in some way. The world is moving toward unity; people’s desires are subconsciously aspiring to it regardless that it seems to us that a person is still far away from it. He is not far away.

All his questions, all his searches, even the ones that come from the reason that he has nothing to eat, that water and air are polluted, and that there is no hope for anything good to come for children and grandchildren—still, in all this despair, there is a subconscious demand to achieve the spiritual level.

Everything else cannot fulfill people any longer. People do not want anything else. Of course, they wish to escape pain and reach comfort, but this is because they want to avoid suffering rather than they really want something.

This common descent is beginning to overfill the world. Chaos, confusion, powerlessness, and the lack of direction or any kind of solution add to this state. This is the moment that the Kabbalists were talking about. I can see it absolutely clearly today.

The World Is Pushing Us Forward

963.5Question: Recently, there has been a tendency of the burdening of the heart. It has become much more difficult for those people who have always been active to do something. What is this process?

Answer: Today people who are studying Kabbalah are beginning to enter into a new system and understand and recognize it. I gave them so much information that they literally live in it. They understand that there is us, there is our system of interaction between us, between us and the Creator, and between us and the rest of the world.

We are an intermediate link between the Creator and the whole world, and we must connect all this into one common system. They begin to realize that they are in implementing this process.

It was difficult for them to accept access to the outside world. We have always been working on attracting more friends from anywhere so that they too would yearn for spiritual attainment, for the revelation of the Creator.

But here we appeal to people who do not need anything in life except for comfortable living conditions. Of course, this is very weakening and leads you astray.

But it is precisely the fact that people now have the necessary need to exist normally, and this can only be solved by creating a universal human community on the terms of mutual guarantee that gives us a huge push forward so that we finally receive the upper light, pass it through ourselves to the entire humanity, and correct the whole world. Therefore, now we are starting to study practical Kabbalah.

Connect to Your “Incubator”

931.02Comment: There are people who when they start to study Kabbalah first light up, stay high for a while, and then slowly cool down or even leave. They are sucked into corporeal life and the importance of spirituality fades into the background.

My Response: This is a natural phase in everyone’s life. I see how my students are sometimes asleep for months and barely come to class, which they serve as a duty. And there are those who disappear and later come back again.

A person must fully work through his system, each stage like a rocket launcher; otherwise, he will not enter the orbit.

Moreover, one goes through very complex processes and internal and external discernments. This is a difficult path and there is no need to hide it. This is a search for oneself, a path to yourself you do not know yet and are creating on your own.

You have a drop of spiritual seed in you, but making an “incubator” for it to grow is your job. The incubator is the group, the atmosphere, an environment that will give you the importance of spiritual growth and supply material for it. It is the connection with others that will manifest in you like a connection with the umbilical cord from your mother’s body, from the large environment.

Therefore, in our dissemination, we must first of all create the right environment for every person on earth who would in this way be able to connect to his “incubator,” to his “womb,” and thus grow. Otherwise, he will not be able to grow. He must see himself connected to the great desire of others like him.

By connecting to them, he will add “meat” on his drop of seed, on virtually bare information, and receive a revitalizing force from the group. They will supply him with the importance of bestowal, connection, mutual love, and mutual guarantee.

The feeling that will come to him both from the connection with others in one system and from the feeling of a mutual, massive, benevolent force moving in this system, will enable him to be at the level of man, Adam, from the word “Domeh” (similar to the Creator). He will feel that together with others he holds a system within which a force called the Creator operates.

This is the environment, the atmosphere we must create for the world. We know how to do it, but we still have a lot of work ahead.

Therefore, in the time of Abraham, a Kabbalistic group was created, which later, like all of mankind, fell into this world in order to recreate itself today according to the methodology that was stored and developed in it all along and to explain to the whole world what we should be like.

Two Paths of Moving to the Machsom

254.01Question: A person who studies Kabbalah goes through certain states. First, a point in the heart awakens, he searches and finds Kabbalah, studies it, and then moves on to the Machsom.

Is there any similar development in people without points in the hearts who do not study Kabbalah? Is there a passage through some kind of their own Machsom?

Answer: A person experiences insights like that, but this is not the same at all. Sometimes even people who study Kabbalah before reaching the Machsom have the feeling that something is being revealed within them.

But then all this goes away because they do not yet possess the true screen.

And those who do not study Kabbalah experience nothing like this. They typically experience various animalistic and psychological fluctuations.

Comment: But you say that everyone will have to pass the point of the Machsom and experience spirituality: both Kabbalists and non-Kabbalists.

My Response: Yes, some will cross the Machsom because they work on their own and others because they will join those who work by themselves.

Question: How will they join—intentionally or unconsciously, by accident?

Answer: The first group, the upper one, is the group that strives to attain the source of life—the Creator. In each of them there is aspiration, a need for attainment of spirituality; I just have it and that is all: I want to attain it. Suppose you have such a desire, but your relative does not. It does not depend on anything.

We all come from Babylon, and there is no difference between us. The only difference is whether you had such a need in past cycles or not. But this is also unknown.

And even this does not matter, because as a result of the fall of the ancient Kabbalistic group, it mixed with all of humanity. At the same time, 10 tribes have completely disappeared, and no one knows where they are. Maybe they are Ethiopians, or Falashas, or Pakistanis. Or, maybe Indians.

It does not matter because everything is estimated only according to a person’s desire. If one has a desire, it means he moves forward on his own.

And the majority of people are ready to run forward if they feel bad in this life. And then they need to be shown the way by pressure from behind, when one is driven forward by suffering and pushed by a stimulus—a sharp stick that prods animals. That is all.

Two Souls Opening for Us the Door to the Creator

115It is difficult to overestimate the greatness of Baal HaSulam and Rabash because these are people who help us and do their best to raise us from the lowest degree, that is, from this world, to the spiritual degree of the upper world. Apart from them, there are no other people who would care that we rise from the level of death to the level of life, realize why we live, and thanks to what we exist.

They introduce the Creator to us and teach us how to open the door to Him and come closer to Him. Therefore, Rabash and Baal HaSulam are not even two people, but two upper, special spiritual forces that take care of us, and therefore are closer to us than all other created beings.

Reading the lines written by Rabash in honor of his holy father, Baal HaSulam, we will try to connect to them with all our heart and soul and understand that we are granted a connection with these special souls.

Kabbalists are the system of connection in the common soul of Adam HaRishon, which has already been corrected. A person who corrects himself joins this system and, together with all Kabbalists, builds a network that raises all other souls: picks them up, and helps them rise closer and closer to the Creator.

Besides the fact that Kabbalists have left us their articles, they are still all between us and participate in our work. It is said that Kabbalists have no rest either in this world or in the future world because they help us until the very end of correction. After all, all souls are connected, tied up together, and help each other. Even if we do not feel it, like babies who do not understand who cares for them and how, nonetheless this is how it happens.

961.2Today is a special memorial day for Baal HaSulam, Rav Yehuda Ashlag, the great Kabbalist who paved the way for us that leads to the correction of the world. Thanks to him, we know how to behave in order not to make mistakes and stray from the path of the Creator.

Baal HaSulam’s methodology is based on the achievements of Kabbalists who lived before him. That is why we are grateful that we have such a teacher and that we can be his disciples, follow him in his way, and be sure that we will achieve the goal of creation in this lifetime.

Baal HaSulam left us many Kabbalistic articles and books and also taught his students, and most importantly, his eldest son, Baruch Ashlag (Rabash), who described the entire method of spiritual work suitable for our days, our time, for the souls descending into the world today.

The “Thin Stream” in the History of Humanity

747.01Question: We are familiar with the history of humanity based on the external picture of its development. But what has happened with spirituality over the past 2,000 years if there is neither time nor space there?

Answer: Shattering and mixing between those who came out of Babylon, developing; they were inhabiting the globe and then mixing with each other since the Middle Ages, the discovery of new lands, and so on.

At the same time, within them, there was a group of ten tribes, which were physically completely dissolved into them. To this day, we do not know where they are or what happened to them.

The group that today is called Israel, the Jews, did not dissolve physically, but dissolved spiritually; they descended from their spiritual level of loving your neighbor as yourself, all Israel are brothers to each other, etc.

Before the ruin of the First Temple, they were in complete union with each other. But 2,000 years ago, at the point called the ruining of the Temple, they fell from a state of mutual love to mutual hatred and passed 2,000 years of history as a thin stream through all of humanity, sprinkling it with their various talents and discoveries, as if in connection with each other.

In fact, all this was intended only to create within humanity the rudiments, a predisposition, for today’s unification.

Nature Will Force Us to Change

961.2What can we do to understand our world? We need to raise people to the next degree. But it cannot be done from afar where you are ignored.

They need to listen, to somehow participate in this, to want to develop themselves a little, to lower themselves, and to bend their heads. They say they cannot do everything by the power of money alone or just by force since there is still something not comprehended in nature.

Therefore it seems to them that the world is becoming unmanageable and that If they comprehend it, they will be able to manage. But it is with different qualities through which they will come to attainment. After all, from our time onward they will not enter the governance of nature if they do not become similar to it and at the same time do not acquire an altruistic force opposite to themselves.

Now we can already see how some strange statements are coming from billionaires like, “We are ready to share a little with you. We will meet you halfway.” And so on.

This has never happened before. They used to be ready to rob you to the last penny just to add another zero to their bank balance. But not today. Something seems to be radiating from the outside, through the masses, from somewhere in nature. They will suddenly start feeling that there is another movement and will begin to approach it.

The world is becoming such that it will force us to change. I look at this world with great hope. For me this is a birth!—a painful event, but at the same time joyful, as if you are expecting a baby that is about to be born.
