Question: The Creator gave us the evil inclination and the Torah as a spice. Can we say that we are stuck in the evil inclination and not using the Torah as a spice?
Answer: Yes, and that is why we must ask. If we try to replace our egoistic, evil heart with a good one, we will need the Torah, which will act on us, and our heart will become good.
You need to develop the importance of the goal. Only the importance of the goal will keep you moving toward a state where, no matter how many of your uncorrected qualities are shown to you, you will still keep moving forward.

It is forbidden to nationalize property before the public reaches this moral level. Before there is a reliable moral factor in the public, the collective will not have fuel for work.
The whole world is one family. … However, the actual process is gradual (Baal HaSulam, The Writings of the Last Generation)
Comment: Baal HaSulam points out several prerequisites before people can move to an altruistic society.
My Response: If I am not sure that 90% of what I have made with my own hands, have extracted from the ground, and so on, goes to society and ultimately to me, then I will not be able to work.
Question: So is this process likely to take hundreds of years?
Answer: I would not say it would take hundreds of years, but a couple of generations, yes. About fifty years.
The realization should be in steps: first in the form of knowledge, then in awareness, and then in the realization itself.

Question: In our world men do not need much, everything is much simpler for them than for women. Women are so different and multifaceted. What is the reason for this complexity?
Answer: A woman is like the whole world. The female gives rise to life for any organism. It is the most complex organism in our world.
Question: Is the Nekeva (female) so multifaceted in the spiritual world too? Or is it still some kind of one desire, one state?
Answer: In spirituality this is absolutely not felt, since the female part suppresses itself in relation to the male part there, and the male part prevails in everything.
Question: Does she suppress herself deliberately and consciously?
Answer: Of course. After all, in principle, she should only give the sex of the child and some earthly properties and the higher properties come from the husband.

Baal HaSulam was a very private man, a man of his narrow circle. European culture was clearly manifested in it. This is even evident in his music, which had a prevalence of the Eastern European, Polish melodies, with some Italian accent.
He is very specific in his presentation. Even when he talks about science, Kabbalah, and everything in general, his expression and style are based on knowledge of the deep layer of the Talmud, the Mishna, the Prophets, holy writings, and the Torah.
For example, sometimes he mentions a few words and at the same time casually refers to some source. If a person catches this, he understands the subject right away and perceives the text in a different way.
For example, sometimes even in our conversations we say that “Love covers all transgressions.”
However, in Kabbalah we mean that this phrase is from the Psalms of David, and at the same time we understand what kind of sins they are, what kind of transgressions they are, what kind of attitude a person has toward a person when he hates the other and is ready to destroy him. In the end when he moves to the state of love for the other, then all those so-called previous transgressions and the previous hatred on the contrary support the love he has achieved.
It means that this phrase includes such a huge layer, the order of states that one has to go through in order to say “Love covers all transgressions.” Without that it is just a nice phrase.
Another example is: “I have washed my feet, how can I rise from my bed?” Who knows what it is talking about?
This is a passage from Song of Songs. From the Kabbalistic point of view, Malchut says my “Reglaim” (legs), meaning the end of the Partzuf, the Kelim, the desires that receive the entire Light of Hochma are already up above. I am in the horizontal position, meaning I have already washed and cleaned my limbs, my final states. I cannot use them anymore.
How can I rise now also from this state “to embrace you, my Darling?” meaning to connect with Zeir Anpin in the receiving desires when I already annulled them. This is how the soul of a person, i.e., his desires, speaks with regard to the connection with the Creator.
It means that a multitude of various states, conditions, and interpretations of what is happening are implied here. This is a very serious system of relations. This is how it is said “How can I rise to you, Darling, open the door, since I already washed my feet and lied on my bed?”
Phrases like this can also talk about anything: a rider and his horse, a donkey and his driver, etc. Therefore, we need to adapt all of this to today’s generation that does not understand or know anything, and after all, has not heard about the existence of the Song of Songs, or even of the Psalms of David, or other sources.
We have to show them a short path. We do not have time to study all these sources even though they talk about pure Kabbalah. However, they speak in an allegorical way, while we have to bring a person directly to the revelation of the upper world. This is the reason we create our own media sources.

Question: Let’s say I am in bestowal, seemingly without any calculation, above knowledge. But at the same time, there is a calculation of “what’s mine is mine,” and “what’s yours is yours.” How do we transition from this to “what is yours is yours” and “what is mine is yours?” How does it fit together?
Answer: “What’s mine is yours” and “what’s yours is yours” is complete bestowal, the highest attitude one person has toward another. “What’s mine is mine” and “what’s yours is yours” is complete reception. Between them, there is “what’s mine is mine” and “what’s yours is mine”—this is sheer egoism.
How can I connect these states? Everything that I can give, I give. I also receive everything I can receive for the sake of another because, in this case, my receiving is like giving. It turns out that I give everything I can, and everything I receive is also equivalent to giving. That is how we act.
If all our thoughts are only for the sake of giving, then we are completely righteous. If we want everything for ourselves, then we are absolute villains, sinners. This is where the dilemma arises, how do we divide our states into sinful and righteous ones.
Therefore, Kabbalists advise us to divide our desires into giving and receiving. Those who work for the sake of bestowal will be called righteous, and those who work for the sake of receiving will be called sinners.

Question: The more we study, the bigger our ego becomes. Should we have control over the ego and recognition of it?
Answer: No, we don’t have control over the ego, but we can have recognition of it.
What should we do? Keep moving forward, always asking the Creator for unity and connection with our friends. In this way, through our unity, we will reveal our collective ego and finally ask the Creator correctly to correct it.
Question: How can we avoid fearing the loss of what we already have? By understanding the voice of egoism, how can we still serve the Creator?
Answer: You should tell everything to the Creator, and then you will receive answers from Him. Based on these answers, you will gradually change, and everything will fall into place.
Question: So, should we hold on to the Creator and try to detach from egoism?
Answer: You can try to detach on your own, but it won’t really help. The Creator does this as well. The most important thing is to annul yourself before the Creator. And to annul yourself before Him, you must first annul yourself before your friends. Then everything will work out.
When you ask the Creator to connect you, to the extent He does so, you will feel how close you are to each other, and this is how you will move forward.

Question: I know that a friend does not pay maaser and does not follow the group’s rules. How should I relate to him, annul myself, and unite with him?
Answer: It depends on the mutual agreement between you. If you join a group where there are minimal Kabbalistic rules, you must follow them.
Therefore, your attitude toward the friend should be based on how he fulfills the conditions the group has committed to uphold.
