For this reason, they were not ready to receive the Torah at the time of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but only when they came out of Egypt and became a complete nation. Only then was there a possibility to guarantee everyone’s needs without any care or concern (Baal HaSulam, “The Arvut [Mutual Guarantee]”)
After leaving Babylon, the children of Israel went through three spiritual periods known as “Abraham,” “Isaac,” and “Jacob.” These are the right, left, and middle lines interacting with each other.
While in Babylon, people suddenly felt a massive surge of egoism tearing them apart. Therefore, Abraham’s group left Babylon and began to draw closer to each other. This was the ascent to the spiritual level of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
However, while uniting, they again found themselves under the control of egoism. This period is called the Egyptian exile.
The constant growth of egoism is necessary for our further advancement, otherwise we would have nothing to rise above and no basis for working with each other. Therefore, periods of spiritual development always follow this pattern: ascents and descents, ascents and descents.
But the descents are not entirely new states. From the state of a shattered soul, negative relationships and negative qualities continuously arise within each of us and between us, which we perceive as descents.
This is how we move forward. If a person stocks up on the correct energy, has a group, engages in systematic studies, and needs to progress, they will inevitably experience descents and various unpleasant states. But it is precisely by overcoming these states that they will advance.

Answer: There is only one truth—the Creator. Everything else is false, relatively, of course, based on what is closer to the Creator or farther from the Creator. But in principle, all of it is false.
Question: But we still receive from the Creator. We do not perceive Him directly, but reveal Him in some form of clothing. What here is the truth if it is not clothed in the desire to receive?
Answer: The extent to which the Creator is clothed in what we feel is how we should evaluate these things. Truth is revealed in the similarity of the Kli to the light that fills it. If there is a small difference between them, then the Kli will appear spiritually more powerful to us. And vice versa.
Question: Does a Kabbalist discern the difference? For example, does he feel falsehood in material Kelim, and then switch and feel the truth in spiritual Kelim? How can one make the switch?
Answer: Begin to direct yourself to the truth through spiritual possibilities, not material ones. Strive to see in the manifestation of people their higher human essence, how much they can rise above the material world and evaluate actions, objects, and forces as far from egoism as possible.
You need to switch to the sensation of truth, i.e., tune yourself only to the truth, pray for it, and receive only the truth.

Therefore, the Tana described the Arvut as two people who were on a boat, and one of them began to drill a hole in the boat. His friend said, “Why are you drilling?” He replied, “Why should you mind? I am drilling under me, not under you.” So he replied, “Fool! We will both drown together in the boat!”
Meaning, as we said, since those rebels wallow in self-love, by their actions, they build an iron wall that prevents the observers of the Torah from even beginning to fully observe the Torah and Mitzvot in the measure of words “Love your friend as yourself,” which is the ladder for achieving Dvekut [adhesion] with Him. Indeed, how right were the words of the proverb that said, “Fool, we will both drown together in the boat!” (Baal HaSulam, “The Arvut” [Mutual Guarantee])
We are drowning along with our world. Therefore, our generation needs to break out of this as soon as possible; that is, it needs to understand how to correct ourselves.
Therefore, Rabbi Elazar, son of Rashbi, who wrote The Book of Zohar, clarifies the matter of Arvut even further. It is not enough for him that all of Israel, not only this group, which received the system of Abraham, be responsible for one another, but the whole world is included in the Arvut.
It follows that all the peoples of the world must also follow the laws of Arvut (mutual guarantee). Therefore, we must explain this to everyone and involve everyone in it.

Question: What is the state when you feel indifferent to everything in the corporeal world you constantly want to read the sources, and you only derive pleasure from them? Is this an egoistic fulfillment?
Answer: It is an egoistic fulfillment, but it leads to spiritual fulfillment. So continue.
Question: How should one correctly think about the Creator?
Answer: Think intentionally that He is the source of all the fulfillments we desire. Unite with other friends and understand that in doing so, you create a path to the light that will pass from the Creator through all of you and into the collective Kli.
Question: Does it turn out that all a person’s efforts come down to is building a Kli for reception, expanding it as much as possible, and transforming it into a Kli for bestowal?
Answer: Of course, that is our task. When you are already within this system, you can regulate the process through the connection between yourself, your friends, and the Creator.
Question: When a friend has a deficiency and cannot direct it toward the Creator, can the group help him by uniting with Him?
Answer: Yes, it can. This is called descending to a friend, lifting him with yourselves, and turning to the Creator from this state.

Question: We are a creation, but within each of us, there is a point in the heart, a particle of the Creator’s nature.
Is it possible to ever attain the essence of the Creator, the nature of the Creator, and in a way become the Creator?
Answer: You cannot have the desire to attain the essence of the Creator. You can only have the desire to be similar to Him. We cannot jump above our nature.
Some degrees are revealed to us as degrees of higher attainment than just the qualities of bestowal. But we are not there yet.
We need to think about how to become similar to the Creator. From this similarity, we will understand Him.

Question: As we progress, why, instead of the expected strengthening and revealing of spiritual desire, do new facets of material desires emerge?
Answer: It is to expand the desire within you and for your spiritual striving to be even more complete and extensive. This way you will later be able to receive fulfillment.
In ordinary desires, we cannot sense spiritual fulfillment, taste it, or open ourselves to even greater spiritual enjoyment. This only happens when the Creator works with us. Therefore, when we reveal ourselves, we should only think about bestowal.

Question: If the light of the Creator is in the Torah and everything around us, what is the difference in looking for the Creator in the texts of the Torah or a dialogue with the world?
Answer: It depends on the essence of the soul, in how much it desires this or that in connection with the Creator, and what state it is in.
Question: I have friends who studied at Bnei Baruch who said that if the Creator fills the whole world, what difference does it make where to attain Him? And they left.
Answer: This is the usual path that millions take. They think everything is clear to them, that there is nothing new, and that they can attain spirituality on their own, or come up with some other excuses and leave.
There is nothing we can do about it. Of course, everyone has obligations toward others, support, and so on, but in general, this is all we can offer.
A person must constantly increase his desire to reveal the Creator and feel that without this, he simply dies. Because every day of your life, in which you have not advanced even a millimeter on the path to the Creator, is a missed day.

How Can I Reveal The Creator?
I Want To Meet The Creator!
Question: Should we strive for the day of the Creator, for His revelation?
Answer: Of course we should. The Creator desires this and we should want to.
Question: How can we make the day of the Creator so it is not night for us? We are still like a bat, in an egoistic desire.
Answer: It does not depend on your experience in Kabbalah, but only on your attitude. If in a certain state you want to turn night into day, then you should simply try to imagine the Creator is before you, that He is revealing Himself to you, and wants you to feel Him with all your senses and get closer to Him.
Question: Let’s say I feel a problem, something unpleasant in my life. How do I turn this state of night into day?
Answer: To do this, you need to switch to the Creator and try to feel Him as if what you are feeling now comes from Him. In this case, the question is how do we begin to feel the Creator instead of the night?
Try to do this, and you will see it is not that difficult.
