Question: Essentially, do I have to absorb absolutely the entire world?
Answer: It is already in you. Let us say you are sitting in front of your computer right now. In it you can see the whole world. If you see it on the screen, it means it is in your computer system; otherwise, you would not see it.
But the problem is whether anything is outside of you at all. Maybe not. I see what arises in my feelings. But what is behind these feelings? I do not know. Maybe I am in some kind of matrix that projects some images and sensations to me, and makes some suggestions to me. I have nothing but my feelings.
Where do they come from? Maybe now I am in an unconscious state, and this whole world manifests itself in my sick imagination: I am talking to you, I exist, and so on.
But in fact, you are missing one more state in relation to which you could measure this.
Comment: You once gave an example that there is a computer system that includes the processor itself and a screen on which all the processes occurring in the computer are projected. It seems to us we see something. In fact, we do not feel the processes themselves.
My Response: This is why we need to get to this processor, to all its internal parts. They are our system, only they are hidden from us.
When I get to them, I will find out why it all exists, and at the same time I will discover that it was created for my sake. There I will find my eternal, perfect state, I will be able to control myself and not be controlled.
Today I automatically react when someone evokes certain feelings and thoughts in me. I myself am this screen, this guidance, and I have no opportunity to enter an objective state. After all, the fact that I am now talking and in contact with you is all some kind of reaction to what is in front of me.
Where do I really separately and objectively exist?
We do not have this. This is what we need to achieve.

This means that each and every one in Israel would take upon himself to care and work for each member of the nation, to satisfy all their needs, no less than the measure imprinted in him to care for his own needs (Baal HaSulam, “The Arvut [Mutual Guarantee]”).
We must always compare taking care of ourselves to caring for others: how much does striving for oneself differ from striving for others, what is the difference between them, and can we somehow equalize the desire to care for others with the care for oneself. That is a specific and uncomplicated task. Defining it is very simple, but carrying it out is almost impossible.
Mutual guarantee (Arvut), described by Baal HaSulam is like a fantasy. We understand that it is practically unattainable and beyond human capability. I cannot think about others, not even those close to me, in the way I do about myself. It is impossible. The task set before us is, in fact, not achievable. So, what are we discussing here?
Once the whole nation unanimously agreed and said, “We will do and we will hear,” each member of Israel became responsible that no member of the nation will lack anything. Only then did they become worthy of receiving the Torah
It is enough if we understand that we have no other way out. And we do not need another way out because, in reality, this is the highest goal that can be in our lowly, insignificant world. Therefore, if we agree to live in mutual guarantee, we will begin to draw upon ourselves special upper forces that will lead us to this state.
However, no one says we must become altruists and kind, love everyone, and connect with everyone. That is not serious. It says we must realize our current nature and the state we must reach that nature pushes us to.
Look at what is happening in the world. Nature pushes us toward complete unification. We may not understand this, but in principle, this is what lies ahead of us. If we want to live on our small Earth, we must become one unified whole. Otherwise, we cannot survive.
By realizing this, we will become suitable for receiving the Torah and for receiving the upper light that will change our nature and drive us toward collective unification.
The world is experiencing more division, fragmentation, and distancing every day, and accordingly, more confusion about where it exists, why, and how. Humanity feels the egoism that seems to play with it from within and acts accordingly.

Question: How does the Masach (screen) relate to one’s willingness to bestow?
Answer: The screen is a person’s connection with the Creator for the sake of bestowal.
Question: What thoughts can we allow for comparison so it would help our spiritual advancement and not confuse us?
Answer: Thoughts on how to be connected with each other and in this connection receive light in order to guide it together to the Creator.
Question: How do you get out of sadness into joy?
Answer: Ask your friends to help you. Nothing else would work. You must look for such techniques by yourself and with this help you can rise from egoism and correct it.
Question: Even in the preparatory period you can feel the strength of the screen, which can manifest in us. Does the Masach work when you transition from the left line to the right?
Answer: It is unknown to me where your right or left lines are. But I know the transition from egoism to altruism and back is by using the screen.

All of Israel became responsible for one another. Because the Torah was not given to them before each and every one from Israel was asked if he agreed to take upon himself the Mitzva [commandment] of loving others in the full measure expressed in the words “Love your friend as yourself” (Baal HaSulam, Article “The Arvut [Mutual Guarantee]”).
Question: What does it mean “each one was asked”? Or is this an inappropriate question for us?
Answer: This question is always within you, in your soul. Every day you must answer it: Are you ready to move forward?
With this question, a person progresses: “Who am I? For what purpose am I here? Why? What goal am I heading to? With what means? What exactly must I do? What is the essence of each of my steps?” This is what organizes a person in the movement toward the quality of giving, toward the spiritual quality.
For us, the most important thing is to acquire the first spiritual quality. This means that we will begin to perceive the spiritual world.

Question: Why does the Creator put a person in a situation where they must feel powerless? What does it achieve?
Answer: The powerlessness is of your ego, which cannot manage, cope, understand, or realize anything. It cannot grasp the true structure of the soul.
Question: It seems like the Creator causes problems for me to prevent me from becoming a link between creation and Him. Why does He do this? What does He want from me?
Answer: He wants you to desire to break away from your ego.
Question: Is my ego what prevents me from entering this process?
Answer: No, the ego does not prevent us. We should not destroy or annul it. We must learn to work with it properly. If you use the ego to receive everything from the Creator and pass it on to other created beings, it will help you.
How else will you contact other created beings? How else will you receive from the Creator? That is why the ego was created. Think about how to use it, and you will see that it is essential.
That is why the Creator created the ego; it is to bring creation to its normal form.

Question: How can we justify the Creator when the past falls on us like we have not accomplished something? How do we work with the fact that we must justify the Creator?
Answer: At every moment of our existence, we must feel the Creator as the one determining our state and we must justify these states.
Justifying means recognizing that each state brings us, through our friends, to connection with the Creator and raises us to the next level.

Question: What should we do to clarify the pleasure and joy that the Creator has revealed between us? How do we determine whether they are from bestowal or from reception?
Answer: It is too early to make such distinctions. For now we should focus on revealing all possible relationships between us and bringing them into order.
Only after that can we consolidate what we bestow to the Creator in various situations and how He influences us differently. By combining these feelings, we can elevate them to the level of bestowal. This is how we come closer to the Creator.
