Before You Speak

600.01Question: It is not a secret that a person talks a lot, both with and without a reason. Does it affect others, society, and himself?

Answer: Of course, it does. This is why silence is golden.

Question: Does a person have to make some kind of calculation in relation to what he says?

Answer: Naturally! After all, many problems arise because people chat incessantly.

It is said that “The wise sees the future.” Therefore, we must understand what consequences will result from opening our mouths. First, we should analyze and anticipate the consequences in advance, and then speak.

Question: How can we learn to foresee this? Often, a person seems to see what the consequences may be, but he makes mistakes in his evaluations. How can we approach this correctly?

Answer: In Kabbalah, this is solved with the help of the environment. I have to create the right environment around me, preferably of ten people. If I annul myself before them and act in accordance with the opinion of the ten, then what I do is usually positive.

Does It Make Sense To Live Only In The Present?

766.1Question: Is it wise to live only in the moment and not think about the future?

Answer: Yes. The wisest thing one can do is not think about the future because the future actually does not exist.

The present is renewed every moment. The present that is renewed every moment is the future and what I want is to actually live in this state.

The illusion of the past, present, and future should not lead me to unrealistic areas. I only know what I feel now and in the next moment I build my own feelings by myself. This is the creation of the future world.

Light Of The Torah

234Question: What is the Torah? Is it a book, is it light, a methodology?

Answer: The Torah is a method of correction. It is a set of rules and resources that I accept and apply with the advice of Kabbalists with all my skills and experience, everything that is written in books, everything that the upper light brings me, and everything I do in the group performing all sorts of actions together with the friends.

Everything I do to correct my egoism, to turn it into altruism, bestowal, and love, is called the Torah.

If by our actions we awaken our inner light, then it is called “the light of the Torah”.

Build Your Spiritual Self Above The Corporeal Self

608.01Question: According to Kabbalah, in order to develop spiritually, meaning to change the intention from egoistic to altruistic, one must change one’s nature. How does one develop such a habit?

Answer: This appears not as a habit, but as an urgent necessity due to the fact that a person sees how evil his nature is. Only for this reason does he consciously decide to change it.

At first, he comes to this purely egotistically because he sees that it will be better for him if he acts in this way. He wants to know about his life, death, purpose of existence, and the way to obtain something greater and to learn during this lifetime, the so-called celestial mechanics that control and correct him. He wants to rise above others, to feel that he is creating.

When he begins to go deeper into this, he sees that he can really be higher than others, greater than others, and not for an evil purpose. He just wants to see, to know, to create. From what Kabbalah explains, it becomes clear to him that this can be done only by acquiring new qualities—the qualities of bestowal and love—qualities that are above the ordinary human being.

Gradually, he begins to understand that, in general, this is probably impossible. He is going through a very serious period when he must overcome himself, force himself to move on, in order to receive from his studies with nature, from his relations to nature, a special energy that will change him, correct him, and raise him above egoism. In this way, a person builds a spiritual self above the corporeal self.

The Shattering As An Opportunity For Correction

207The shattering provides an opportunity for correction. If there were no shattering, there would be nothing to correct. And without correction, we have no chance to feel creation, which is perceived only as the advantage of light over darkness.

Therefore, if there were no difference between the desire to receive and the desire to bestow, between light and darkness in our sensations, we would not understand creation and would not feel where we are.

And if there were no sensations, we would not have developed intelligence, the ability to think, to be aware. We would be left with small, primitive, limited desires. In fact, the bounty of human feelings and understanding comes precisely from the contradiction inherent in our root: two opposite foundations, the power of bestowal coming from the nature of the Creator and the power of reception as the mirror-opposite of the Creator.

When these two forces act in us one against the other, we obtain between the two of them real perception, vision, and sensation. It is impossible to perceive creation only in one quality or in another, but only on the contrast of two opposites, which is 620 times greater attainment of the power and richness of creation.

Therefore, the shattering that occurred at the beginning of creation and the sin of the tree of knowledge were bound to happen. Without them, there would be no mixing of holiness and impurity (Klipa), and there would be no contrast between them. And it is in the contrast of these two poles that we build ourselves.

A person is not a considered to be a body made of flesh and blood, that is not our initial state; a person is the wisdom accumulated in the process of clarifying between good and evil, light and darkness, between the Klipa and holiness. From the sparks extracted from there, we collect our desires and correct fillings for a vessel called “the soul.” Through those discernments this vessel grows and expands, it becomes filled with the attainment and sensation of the Creator and merges with Him.

Therefore, we need to realize that nothing bad happens in creation but only clarifications of what the Creator created. The Creator wants to teach us, but His instruction is not like what we are used to in school; it leads to the collision of opposite qualities in us so that from a state of duality, searching, and contradiction, we attain the entire creation in depth and in width, and thereby build ourselves.

All this development comes from ascents and descents, the shattering, and the collision of our egoism with the desire to bestow. As we try to combine the fragments of broken desires, we study the depth of creation and its nature, and attain the Creator.

“Heaven And Hell – Where Are They?” (Linkedin)

My new article on Linkedin “Heaven and Hell – Where Are They?

“Imagine there’s no Heaven,” sang John Lennon. “No Hell below us, above us only sky,” he went on. In a way, he was right. The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches that Heaven and Hell are not places, but states in our relationships with one another. Hell is when we cannot stand each other, a bit like today except that we are more aware of our hatred, and Heaven is when we love each other as we love ourselves, pure and simple.

There are no people, animals, plants, or minerals in the wisdom of Kabbalah, no places, times, or movements. When Kabbalah books discuss relationships between people, or describe journeys from one place to another, they are actually using them as symbols to describe people’s relationships with one another, and how much love there is between them.

That quality of love, by the way, is what we refer to as the “Creator.” He, too, is not some entity or a deity in the sense that religions think about Him. He (or rather It) is the quality of love, the nature of love.

When a person acquires the nature of love, it is regarded as attainment of the Creator, and then that person is considered to be in Heaven. When we discover how hateful we are toward each other, that our relationships are based on exploitation, manipulation, and abuse, then we are clearly in Hell. But if we already know that we are in Hell, then we are probably on our way out of it, since now we can begin to change ourselves, to correct our nature from absolute self-absorption to caring and benevolence.

It turns out that according to Kabbalah, we determine whether we are in Heaven or in Hell, and we determine it according to our relation toward others. So, simply put, Hell is total hatred, Heaven is pure love. Doesn’t it make perfect sense?

Death Or Life By Vote?

962.1In the News (New York Post): “A 16-year-old girl killed herself after sharing an Instagram poll asking followers whether she should die — and 69 percent of them said she should, reports said.”

My Response: Many people would kill themselves if they could do so easily by taking a pill, falling asleep, and that’s it. Why suffer? This life is miserable if one doesn’t find a filling in it, elation, the attainment of a certain dream, and we all die someday anyway.

But society does the right thing by not letting this inclination grow. We need to “choose life” as it says in the Torah, but this must be chosen.  And in order to do so, we need to try, strive, and seek.

The wisdom of Kabbalah offers us a way to do so, but a person needs to reach it and to find perfect eternal life in it.

Question: What is the goal of the upper management in bringing a person to such a point?

Answer: Its goal is that a person will find out that there is a meaning to life. Not the one he lives in. At the moment he lives a beastly life, and he has to ascend to the next level.

Question: Are you in favor of enticing a person by pleasures or pushing him from behind by suffering?

Answer: I am in favor of attracting a person with pleasures.

Question: Does this mean to show him that this world is worth living for?

Answer: The upper world. Of course.

Question: The world above egoism, as you say all the time.

Answer: Yes, indeed. This is exactly what is worth living for. A person will then find himself in constant motion, in self-development. It is a totally different world, a totally different feeling. A person will see how something in him changes from day to day, upward, downward, whichever direction, but he will be in internal motion and in expectation.

He will be in a state of revealing the upper state, which means the perfect eternal world. He exits his beastly body with his emotions, attainments and knowledge, and begins to feel the higher state.

Question: Do I cease to feel sickness, fears, and sufferings of this world with this feeling of harmony and balance with nature? Do I exit all that or not?

Answer: There are illnesses that you cannot stop feeling because they belong to your beastly state. There are sensations that you feel from time to time, but they belong to a psychological state. Yet, you are already guided by a totally different attitude to your existence, to the world.

Question: Is the change of attitude the main thing?

Answer: Of course! This is the most important thing for a person. A person exists in spirit!

“How Do You Fight Violence, Anger, And Hatred?” (Quora)

Dr. Michael LaitmanMichael Laitman, On Quora: How do you fight violence, anger, and hatred?

We should act by means of connection-enriching education in each country, in conformity with each country’s culture. Such education teaches the structure of nature and reality, the general law of nature that envelops the world, and the kinds of relations we should develop in order to correspond with this law. By widespread implementation of such education, we will reach a harmonious state, in balance with nature.

Our times increasingly call for an upgrade in human consciousness: to become aware that there is a law acting on humanity from the outside, and according to this law, human society needs to positively realize its interdependence and interconnectedness, and by doing so, become like a healthily-functioning organism. Until we realize such a form throughout humanity, we will remain opposite to the altruistic force of nature, and we can thus expect increasing amounts of problems and crises while we remain opposed to nature.

The problems and crises we experience reflect our imbalance with nature. Until connection-enriching education reaches people, unless we develop this form of education and raise human consciousness, we will find ourselves bringing more and more suffering to the world. On the contrary, if we successfully implement connection-enriching education, we will then be able to change the world for the better. In essence, we can resist the force of the fist and hatred only by means of correctly educating the world.
