Prayer—Conversation With The Creator

laitman_235Question: How do we use the difference between exalting the Creator and gratitude to Him in prayer?

Answer: There are lots of kinds of expressions in prayer. It is a request, praising, gratitude for the past, and even, in a sense, my promises for the future.

Prayer is a conversation with the Creator. You should not address Him with any clichés. Only from yourself. It can be in the form of an internal dialogue when each of you talks with the Creator. It can be in the form of a plea in one direction. In whatever form you want.

An example of prayer are the Psalms of King David. He was a great Kabbalist who lived in the ninth century BC. He wrote a collection of prayers Psalms, which are popular throughout the world in all religions. Read, you will find yourself there too, because they include absolutely all conditions—from zero to 100%, to the complete correction of all souls.

How To Solve A Problem Correctly?

laitman_530Question: How is a joint decision on a corporeal problem made?

Answer: Suppose we decided in the group that we should construct a building. Based on our vision, from our connection in the ten, we draw all the conditions of the project: what should this building be like, why do we need it, etc.

By the way, at one time, in an article about the Third Temple, Ramchal described how he sees it and even made a drawing. That was 600 years ago. I hope that in our time, we will soon be able to begin its implementation. Although we are not at the level of Ramchal, but as far as we can understand the drawing, as far as we can read it, we will implement it.

Question: But still, let’s say we decided to build a center somewhere. You think that it should be in one city, I think in another, the third one thinks that it should be a different size in general. What should we do? Everyone has their own opinion. How is the decision made in Kabbalah?

Is there a voting method when a decision is made either by a majority vote or unanimously?

Answer: Not unanimously but in full conjunction with each other.

Question: Should I ignore my opinion?

Answer: No. If we are talking about a Kabbalistic group, then first of all we must solve the problem of the connection between us so that we unite into one common whole, when all our feelings, qualities, and thoughts are united in one system, and in this system, we begin to solve everything.

Indeed, in it, we become similar to the Creator, similar to a single force in which all opposites are joined together, mutually complementing each other. Then our problem will be solved correctly, in mutual satisfaction, as the power of the Creator will be in it, absolute equivalence and balance with nature.

How To Not Harm Your Soul

laitman_571.01Question: Shamati Article 94 refers to the beastly and spiritual soul of man. What is the difference between them and how can a person harm his spiritual or beastly soul?

Answer: We cannot harm either the beastly or the spiritual soul until we acquire this soul.

The beastly soul is what we have now, like any animal. On the corporeal level, we must properly communicate with each other, be in the right human community. This is called the beastly soul.

The spiritual soul must first be revealed. It needs to be built, i.e., you need to feel the need for it and attract the upper light, which will restore it and create a good connection between us. Then we can already interact with each other.

In the meantime, no one has a real soul. The soul is either a common bond between us, or, as it is said: “We are all like beasts.”

Kabbalah And Beliefs, Part 11

laitman_222The Purpose of Creation Is to Become Like the Creator

Question: Kabbalah says that a person should become like the Creator, not in some external actions, as in other beliefs, but in intention. What is the difference?

Answer: If in action I want to be like the Creator, then it is very simple. Take a look at our world. Only the actions of the Creator are manifested in it. “There is None Else but Him.” Do you like this world?! Everyone can be similar to the Creator according to the actions we see in our world.

This is not what is meant in Kabbalah. To be like the Creator means to achieve what we comprehend within this system: complete love, complete bestowal, complete interconnection. In order for us to attain this, the Creator provides us with a picture of a ruined, torn world, so from it we attain the opposite perfect world.

Remark: Kabbalists say that if it were not for the purpose of creation to become like the Creator, there would be no need to do good deeds in our world and generally relate to others.

My Comment: Of course. We are all absolute egoists, and with each generation egoism is growing in us more and more. In the end, this should lead us to a state of mutual bestowal and love. Merging with the Creator is truly the goal of creation.

Question: Does the Creator reveal our egoistic nature? He created it, and without Him we cannot correct egoism at all?

Answer: In no way. We are completely dependent on Him.

Question: Why did He do this?

Answer: So that we depend on Him. Indeed, it is this dependence that leads us to perfection, likeness to Him.
