Question: Our group has split into two parts: Those who engage in integral education and those who don’t want to engage in it and think that we should just sit together and unite; what is the problem?

Answer: I wouldn’t force those who don’t want to engage in integral education to go out and disseminate; let them engage in other types of work in the group; after all, there are plenty of other things with which they can engage. Gradually they will understand that without integral education, without going out to the 99% of humanity, they will not feel the need for the Creator.

When you go out to disseminate you begin to feel: “How can I explain this to people? How can I convey this feeling to them? How can I summon the understanding in them? I cannot do anything by myself. Where can I find the power to convince them?” So you feel that you need the Creator’s help.

It is for your sake that you were given the integral work with the public, so you will feel that you need Him. This work is not meant for them but for you.

Those who don’t engage in integral education will not feel the need for the Creator. Why do they exist? They will remain in the group; however, they will see how enthusiastic you are and realize that they have to do something.

You will really unite and feel the need to succeed in your work with the 99%. They will not feel that. What will push them to unite and for what? The public will demand the force of unity from you. You will tremble and feel scared, unpleasant, and unclear, and so you will undoubtedly need the Creator and will benefit compared to those who don’t engage in integral education.

Question: Today, in any city in the world, we see products on the shelves from all the large corporations that are actively conquering markets. Why can’t we also actively enter the general global market and disseminate the idea, which, in fact, would pull crowds after it?

Answer: If we were to sell what the ego needs, then it would be very simple for us. We could turn to people and show them that, let’s say, with the help of a unique wonder pen, it would be possible to write without mistakes, and they would run to us. And if the regular display of the pen wouldn’t produce any impact, then we would advertise it.

But with the help of the integral method we cannot fulfill the ego. On the contrary, we tell people about the anti-egoistic actions that they need to carry out on themselves. Therefore we cannot go out to them directly and sell this as something desirable.

In what circumstance does our product become desirable? This will happen when problems appear for people. We can come to them only as doctors. After all, if they feel that it’s bad for them, they will run to the doctors and ask for a remedy.

Now the time has arrived in the history of evolution that we have been expecting for thousands of years: Humanity has reached a state in which it’s beginning to feel its nature as evil and nothing can be done about it. Suppose that some kind of terrifying “organism” lives in a person, for example, some kind of cancer or radioactive disease, and he cannot get rid of it; the disease eats him from within. The same thing is happening with our ego.

When we begin to understand that the ego is devouring us, doesn’t develop us, forces us to divorce, not bring descendants into the world, and forces children to abandon their parents, to need drugs, and brings us to a terrible state where we clearly see that the ego is our enemy, our evil, our original nature, that there is nowhere to escape from it; then we look for a way out. Or we will continue to slowly kill ourselves through drugs with sweet ecstasy, withdrawing from life in a narcotic delirium. After all, humanity, governments, and the people are ready for this. Look at what is happening and will happen again with the popularity of drugs, especially if it would be carried out as a mass campaign with the right advertising, then it would be possible to achieve anything.

Or we can rein in our nature and transform the evil to good.

With this, we should go out to people because they don’t understand it themselves and cannot find a “golden key” in nature, a unique and wonderful means that is ready to change their evil nature that is exterminating them, society, the family, and the environment. This means will help us to create relationships between us, which will transform our lives into a Garden of Eden, not in the sense that everything on the face of the earth will be for us (this is not the problem) but that humanity will truly feel itself as being in “paradise.”

In the “Garden of Eden,” (heaven)  means, at the level of the higher power, in a state of eternity, perfection, absolute attainment. It’s very difficult to express this in words since there is nothing analogous to this in our world.

“Song of Songs,” 2:3: The upper world is built precisely above the emotion in the desire to receive which is called the feeling of “this world.” Seemingly, these two worlds stand one on top of the other; the world below is found within the desire to receive where I feel the evil.

After that, I build a good relationship with the Creator in spite of the unpleasant feeling. Then the feeling of the upper world that I constructed within my relationship with the Creator, the feeling of the connection with Him, begins to dominate the feeling of darkness, evil, and emptiness within the desire to receive so much that this emptiness becomes desirable to me.

Every time I discover a greater and greater desire to receive and the feeling in it is less and less pleasant, then above this I immediately build a better relationship with the Creator. And so it is until I discover all of my Malchut, all of the immense desire to receive, and above it I build a relationship with the Creator, the Good Who does good.

And since my egoistic desire becomes emptier all the time, it follows that I build the level of Bina, Hafetz Hesed (Desired Mercy). I don’t need anything for my ego, I don’t even need a shirt. I don’t need anything, no covering for my desire to receive, I am left naked of everything, and above all this, I build my good relationship with the Creator. This is called the level of Bina, Hassadim (Charity).

And after this I begin to receive all kinds of delights in this empty desire. It is as if I returned to the suffering through which I had already passed and build above it a level of bestowal to the Creator, a good relationship with Him, where I discover my empty desires. Now I work with these desires with the intention to bestow. All the evil that I felt then, over which I built a good relationship to the Creator, now transforms into goodness.

I understand that from the start the Creator sent me only goodness, but I felt it as evil because I received it with the wrong intention like a little child who doesn’t listen to his mother and screams that she is bad. The mother does everything for his good but he perceives it as bad since he doesn’t know, doesn’t understand, and doesn’t identify with her intention.

So it is the same with us like children who grow and became wiser, we begin to accept a good relationship with the Creator and feel great delight in it as His love is now revealed to us. But we must transform this relationship into love for Him.

These states are very difficult and demand great efforts, a level of complete faith in which the Light of Hassadim is filled with the illumination of Hochma, and we begin to work with the 613 desires to receive of the AHP. This process through which we are now passing is specifically written about in the “Song of Songs” (2:3): I delight in His shadow and sit, and His fruit is sweet to my palate. We receive only sweet fruits from the Creator, the fruits of the Tree of Life, and after that everything depends on how we perceive this gift.

So let us feel that even now we are found under the Creator’s good supervision, and with the help of the environment, we must see Him as the Good Who does good at each and every moment. If moments arrive which we do not attribute to the Creator and we are detached from Him, then we do not believe that everything comes from the Creator; this is forbidden. First of all, it is necessary to relate all that happens to Him, there is none else besides Him. And after I attribute everything to the Creator and understand that everything comes from Him, then it is necessary to work on the feeling that He is always the Good Who does good to both the good and bad.

In other words, all the thoughts we have which are either good or bad do not matter to Him. The Creator always relates to us with good; it doesn’t matter what the situation is. But we must work on our perception until we discover His good within us. And then all the exiles, emptiness, killings, the Holocaust, all the disasters that we have been through will be transformed thanks to our intention.

It doesn’t matter why all the bitterness and suffering happened to some people or the supposedly accidental events occurred. Everything must be attributed to the Creator and felt as though these were the best events of our lives. After all, this was the result of His intentional help, the right relationship with us from the beginning of creation until its end. This is called the right work with the shadows.

Opinion (Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former International Monetary Fund chief): “Offshore zones exert the most destructive influence on the global financial system, former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn said in an interview with Itar-Tass and Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“He expressed an opinion that these zones had not been eradicated over the lack of political will. ‘Offshore zones affect the global financial system, they are its cancer cells,’ he said. ‘It is well known that big enterprises find the loopholes to escape paying taxes that are absolutely legal with the use of offshore zones. At the same time, offshore zones are used not only by rich people, enterprises and the financial system. Offshore zones are advantageous to governments, therefore they exist until today.’

“Focusing on the fight against offshore zones that had been repeatedly declared by many world leaders, Strauss-Kahn noted that these statements contradicted real practice of many countries that use offshore zones in their interests.

“Strauss-Kahn said he kept an eye on world leaders’ statements on this issue, but these words had not been justified by deeds so far. ‘In reality nothing or practically nothing has happened,’ he said. ‘The problem of offshore zones – economic system’s cancer cells – lies not in the shortage of technical means, but in the lack of political will that can eradicate this phenomenon.’”

My Comment: Egoism obscures an objective vision of the truth. They will not be able to overcome it themselves since, as it is said, “the kings’ hearts are in the Creator’s hands.” And He will not let them go, will not set them free from egoism. That’s why the hopes of the masses that their leaders will change for the better are to no avail.

They will change only if the masses stop demanding change from them, but rather change themselves. This is the only way they will force their rulers to change, through the Creator, by getting closer to Him themselves.

Therefore, although we urge authorities to implement integral education, it will spread and be realized specifically from the bottom up. This does not apply to school systems; there we should try to go from the top down because the crisis is felt at all the levels of the education system.

Question: On the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah), the properties of judgment (Dinim) come to power. What are they?

Answer: We want to bestow, but we are unable to. It’s as if something holds us and doesn’t let us. This something is a revelation of the properties of judgment, a restriction.

We feel these properties when planning to do good deeds. Our bad actions, on the contrary, have no limits. We can be as wicked as we want. But with bestowal, it is a big problem for us. As soon as we become concerned with any selfless good deed, we immediately have doubts, calculations, conditions, and limits. We simply are incapable of sharing or giving away anything at all… That’s what the properties of judgment are.

Question: How can we be rid of these restrictions? After all, this is what people think about during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Answer: If the people of Israel would really want to remove these restraints, they would ask for deliverance of the forces that prevent them from committing good deeds and that prevent them from being good and loving to their neighbors, if we cried about our inability to live in a state of a mutual guarantee, to maintain an atmosphere of brotherhood, and to love our friends, everything would be different today.

However, the situation is what it is: Our people are rejected, hated, and surrounded by enemies on all sides. The whole world is against us and the accusations pour relentlessly from all sides. Other nations are pardoned despite their heinous crimes that often don’t even hit the headlines. But Israel is in the focus of a watchful eye, and even the tiniest faults provoke cries of outrage all over the world. Why is that so?

If the people of Israel don’t stick to true qualities of judgment, they get restricted. No appeals to justice will help them. For something that others would be lightly criticized, Israel will be blamed, prosecuted, and punished. Because this nation has a special mission and comparison to others is useless.

And yet, people do not understand this. When they pray for something for the next year, they don’t ask for bestowal, but rather request good earnings. That’s why even bigger troubles will await us in the next year. We will face much tougher qualities of judgment that will be heavily aggravated by the “time of Messiah” that has already come, when we have to aspire to unity and mutual connection. Nature (the Creator) forces us to unite and demonstrate our unity to the entire world. However, in our prayers to the Creator, we ask Him to fill our personal pockets rather than our common vessel. We need money and power. For how long will it go on?

If we desired to bestow but lacked this ability, we would feel internal restrictions—our own flaws that prevent us from giving. Then, we would receive the Reforming Light. The main prayer in Rosh Hashanah is to see the Creator on the throne. And yet what is “the Creator” if not the quality of bestowal and love? Do we really elevate this property to sit on the “throne”? Of course not! We cherish different values.

This process takes time, but we cannot wait any longer. We have to educate and enlighten people since the time has already come.

So far, we do accept the Creator’s requirements into our personal account. On the contrary, with each day we retreat from them more and more…

Our current material level doesn’t let us naturally care about our friends as if they were our newly born children or our beloved. This means that we don’t have this attitude to the Creator either. Even when we think about Him, we only envision Him as a source of our own fulfillment. And yet, it is directly opposite to what we all have to arrive to.

In other words, there is an obvious problem: We realize that we don’t have correct desires or thoughts and that all our concerns are for our own sake—totally egoistic. We have to work a lot in order to begin needing the Creator’s presence, His power, and to ask Him for assistance in establishing connection with the group. Together with our friends, we have to demand the presence of the Creator inside us. This will allow us to connect.

Where can we acquire this need? To really start needing these things, we should appeal to the entire world, since we feel that it’s the place to which we can apply our energy.

Not everybody agrees with it. Some people doubt whether they should correct others or not: “We don’t owe them anything!” They just don’t understand why it is so essential. We should clearly understand that without turning to the entire world, we would not be able to self-correct.

When we realize and accept the world’s desire to be corrected, we won’t have any other choice but to refer to the group and the Creator. The world’s increasing pressure on us is in fact very good!  We go out to the world and want to help them. Then in return, people begin addressing us. Thus, we all move correctly and truly along the path of the Light and “accelerate time” (achishena.)

If we don’t appeal to the world on time, if we are late, the world will start pressing on us even more viciously. We will lose the chance to absorb the world’s desires since we fail to approach the nations of the world and unite with them. All we do is try to avoid them.

This explains why our appeal to the world is indispensable so that we can address our groups and the Creator and acquire this need. Accordingly, we can refer to the Creator and demand that He corrects us so that our changes can be further transferred to others through us. As elder brothers, we will get twice as much from it, and thus we will advance.

Otherwise our prayer will be always wrong. Even if we address the general public, our prayer will be Lo Lishma, i.e., not for the sake of the Creator, not about genuine bestowal. Everything we do so far corresponds to our current level. We wish we had a higher state; that’s why we want to advance to spirituality, supposedly to bestowal, but at the same time we want to feel good.

It is called Lo Lishma, but the Light impacts us and corrects us. All we need is to organize our work, in other words, to address the general public, our groups, and the Creator. Our prayer has to be collective and our ultimate objective should be to please the Creator. For that, we have to bring all our broken vessels to Him.

This is why in our state and in our time, called by Baal HaSulam, “A Time to Act,” in the month of Elul, right before the New Year, that is,. during our preparation to ascend to the next stage, in the course of the month that summarizes the entire year, we finally grasp what a correct request should be.

Question: Is it possible while disseminating, instead of a message and the promise of solving problems, to send a message or promise of extra happiness for people who don’t admit that they have problems, who are looking for new pleasures? The message: Come to us for happiness….

Answer: Certainly. Therefore we go out to the people from the start, before the “stick” that is pushing them towards happiness reaches them. The entire problem is in this, we come to a person when he doesn’t feel this stick, it is as if it doesn’t exist, and we need to move him from a neutral state or a state of small happiness to a better state. This is our entire mission.

The shell (Klipa) has a very important role; it shows us mistakes and the error itself. And in fact, we are actually never wrong but only see the mistake. With the shell we grow wiser, learn, and don’t actually hurt or harm ourselves and our relations with the Creator.

We only study it, like in a game, like performing an exercise in a simulator. This is all thanks to the system of Klipot that allows us to discover what is true and what is not, to work with it and study the outcomes of our actions, but all these actions are actually not real.

The whole world of shells, the whole evil world, all of creation that seemingly doesn’t belong to the Creator, was created precisely in order to teach us how to work with this half, how to understand and organize ourselves correctly for the second right and good half of creation.

The shell takes this work upon itself, accompanies a person and teaches him. Therefore, we are nourished by the shells during the whole period of our study until we are ready for the spiritual world. Then we reach Holiness.

It says: “The Creator has created them one opposite the other,” the worlds of Holiness opposite the worlds of impurity. If we don’t go through the system of the shells and learn from it each time, we will not be able to move over to the right side that belongs to Holiness.

Once we reach Holiness we have to return to the side of the shells and learn, and practice like in a simulator in order to return to Holiness from there. It’s impossible to enter Holiness if one is not ready. The shell prepares us for that, and the moment you attain the necessary state, it opens the door for you: “Well, now you are ready, go!”

These two systems are one opposite the other, and there are many more systems of confusion and sophistication on the side of the shell that operate with regard to us. We don’t need them later since we are incorporated in the system of the shell, and then on top of this system, we can make simple calculations and reach the simple Light. But this is already after we are incorporated in all the complex systems of the shells.
