A question I received: I had an acute, spontaneous, mysterious experience. Can you help me understand why this happened to me? What was the purpose of it? I was in this light and love for almost fifteen minutes, completely unaware of my body. I simply lived it all.

My Answer: Such an illumination comes to many people. It’s like an invitation to attain the Upper Light constantly and clearly. You felt just a micro-glow of this Light. With Kabbalah, you have the chance to attain a sensation that is billions of times greater, and feel it constantly!

News Story: Why Are Men Going Off Sex?

“Men are increasingly going off sex due to stress, depression and the inability to talk about their problems, experts have claimed.

A team at a relationship counselling service has reported a whopping 40 per cent increase in the number of lazy blokes, admitting that, despite being physically able to have sex, they don’t have any interest.

‘They tend to be men in their thirties, forties and fifties and married. It is a serious issue. It counts as a psychosexual dysfunction, rather than just a relationship problem, because these men haven’t simply gone off their partner but off sex altogether,’ a newspaper quoted Peter Bell of the organisation as saying.”

My Response: The feeling of emptiness, the lack of fulfillment from the Upper Source – even if only subconscious – leads to general depression and the suppression of all bodily desires. Lately this isn’t just a problem, but a universally acknowledged fact.

However, the study of Kabbalah brings about an outburst of all desires and growth of egoism, both on a widespread scale and individually. It is written, “since the destruction of the Temple, only those who work to become similar to the Creator have retained the true taste of copulation.” Mainly, this refers to spiritual copulation – Zivug de Haka’a with the Upper Light, but it also has results in our world. A question I received: How do you explain the fact that during the Holocaust, there were people among the nations of the world who put their lives in danger to save Jews, sometimes even sacrificing their own lives?

My Answer: If we look at this not from the level of our world, then all people are carrying out instructions from above, including everyone who participated in the Holocaust. If we look at this from the level of our world, then this indicates that one’s soul came from the right part of Adam – Hesed (mercy).

This doesn’t nullify my earthly attitude toward such a person, my attitude of kindness and gratitude. However, at the same time, I realize that I relate to him in such a way and act in such a way on the earthly level, whereas he acted mercifully because he was initiated like that from above. “Goodness is done from above through those who merit it, and evil is done through those who merit it” – I respect those through whom the Creator does apparent good to the world (rather than concealed good).

A question I received: In the movies, good always wins, and all the battles are fought against evil – but isn’t this just the desire to receive?

My Answer: Yes! Everything in our world is egoistic (the desire to receive), including all the best things!

A question I received: The information you present to the world is fascinating. Everyone in my family is Orthodox Christian, and I’ve read the Bible and the New Testament since childhood. My question is: Where is Jesus Christ in your science? This worries me most of all, and is the only thing about your method that raises a concern.

My Answer: He’s absent, because I only base my teaching on the three main Kabbalists: Rashbi (The Book of Zohar), the Ari, and Baal HaSulam (view his available works in English). Just like any other science, Kabbalah bears no relation to any religion. It is the physics of forces that are perceived and examined through our sixth sense – the corrected desire.

In contrast, religion speaks about carrying out certain actions and rituals in our world, rather than correcting one’s egoism by means of the Upper Light. However, all religions want this action attributed to them.

A question I received: Within the course of ten years leading up to year 2002, the use of antidepressants in Great Britain increased by 234%. The U.S. independent report of 2005 announced that 11% of women and 5% of men who are not undergoing official treatment (in the year 2002) take antidepressants. What effect do antidepressants have on a person’s spiritual development? Can a student advance in Kabbalah if he’s on antidepressants?

My Answer: Antidepressants are definitely one of today’s leading drugs. Not only do we prescribe them to children, we prescribe them to animals as well. Egoism is incapable of being fulfilled in our world, and at the same time, it hasn’t yet realized its fulfillment in the Upper World. As a result, egoism remains in a sort of intermediate state between the two worlds. Egoism’s growth will lead one to the discovery of Kabbalah as a method of fulfillment, but in the meantime – suffering!

A question I received: I am a single, 31 year old woman, and a few rabbis I met advised me to change my name, even though I never even asked them anything about this. So I talked to my parents, and it turned out that my father is against it. What’s your say on this? Is it important? Is it worth doing?

My Answer: Kabbalistic books say that changing your name means changing your luck. “Name” corresponds to attainment: Kli, 26 in Gematria, and the Light in it together provide the name to your spiritual attainment. Nothing here relates the corporeal world. However, if you change the name people call you, it might help you psychologically.

News Story: Einstein’s Words of Godlessness May Silence Arguments

“‘SCIENCE without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.’ Albert Einstein’s aphorism has been the source of endless debate between believers and non-believers wanting to claim the greatest scientist of the 20th century as their own.

A little-known letter written by him may help to settle the argument – or at least provoke further controversy.

Due to be auctioned in London tomorrow after more than fifty years in a private collection, it leaves no doubt that he was no supporter of religious beliefs, which he regarded as ‘childish superstitions.’

Einstein wrote it on January 3, 1954, to the philosopher Eric Gutkind, who had sent him a copy of his book Choose Life: The Biblical Call To Revolt.

The letter, in German, went on public sale a year later and has remained in private hands ever since. In it he says: ‘The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.’

Einstein, who was Jewish and who declined an offer to be Israel’s second president, also rejected the idea that the Jews are God’s favoured people.

‘For me the Jewish religion, like all others, is an incarnation of the most childish superstitions. And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong and with whose mentality I have a deep affinity have no different quality for me than all other people. As far as my experience goes, they are no better than other human groups, although they are protected from the worst cancers by a lack of power. A question I received: Deepak Chopra wrote that a human organism is renewed every few hours, as well as all the parasites, viruses and diseases in it. Apparently, it’s not a matter of physiology, but programming. Can we use the power of intention to influence our body’s changes, cure serious diseases, and even grow limbs? And another question: If we progress further, can we change the reality around us or our life’s situation? And the main question: Do we need to learn how to do it if it’s possible?

My Answer: Kabbalah is the revelation of the Creator to a person. The Creator reveals Himself to a person to the extent of the level of correction of one’s egoism to altruism, and love toward people. This world has no miracles in it. Fairy tales are either for children or are the products of charlatans. There are laws; laws of nature. We will learn how to grow limbs, but within the boundaries of these laws. Reality depends on you, on your properties. Take a look at how you can change it: “Preface to the Book of Zohar.”
