Why Don’t Politicians Keep Their Promises?

laitman_263Question: Why don’t politicians ever keep their promises?

Answer: It isn’t profitable for a politician to keep his promises. It is advantageous if they are not implemented by others so he can appear before the voters again and again and speak about fulfilling their demands just before the elections because the main thing for him is power.

This is the reason why the government doesn’t benefit its constituents. So, only rely on the Kabbalists. They must keep their promises because power is not their goal but the means to attain the Creator.

laitman_281_02Question: Do I let the Creator down when I ignore His gifts, hints, and thoughts?

Answer: Yes, although, in principle, there is no such system, but we need to think about the sorrow we cause the Creator since otherwise we will not focus on our correction properly. I must think about how to bring Him pleasure, and in order to do so, I develop certain attributes in which I can receive pleasure from the upper world.

Question: This world is an illusion, so aren’t the sufferings an illusion?

Answer: The world as we feel it now is not an illusion for us. A person lives in it in the real sense. The sufferings aren’t an illusion, either. If we fully correct our state, we would be able to say that is was an illusion, and then the Creator would also be revealed.

Question: Who created the Creator?

Answer: This question is meaningless because we don’t ascend above that level. Basically, we can say that an upper Creator created the Creator. Every level that is above us is called the Creator because it created us. This is the reason that there are many Creators, each higher than the other. We shouldn’t forget that the Creator is a force field, a property, not an image.

Question: What is a real miracle in the world of illusions?

Answer: A miracle is everything that I cannot perceive in my feelings and my mind as a real familiar phenomenon. Everything that is beyond my understating, feelings, and consciousness is called a miracle.

Answers To Your Questions, Part 132

Laitman_151Question: What does the term “do away with himself” (the expression in Hebrew means to lose one’s reason) refer to according to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: A person must choose whether to advance within reason or above reason in every situation in life. Above reason refers to advancing against the corporeal mind and reason.

Instead of making the natural choice in the attribute of receiving, a person chooses the attribute of bestowal. If a person cannot advance above reason, he falls to the corporeal mind and reason, within reason, and this means that he does away with himself.

Question: What do the terms “uniqueness – Yichud – יחוד” and “Jew – Yehud – יהוד” mean? When does the letter “Chet” change to “Hey” and why?

Answer: It is in many sources, because all letters of the Hebrew alphabet are interchangeable, i.e., are built in accordance with the 10 Sefirot. See the article about the letters.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 2/21/16

Laitman_032_01Question: How is it possible to integrate the physical and spiritual worlds?

Answer: The two worlds are integrated in a person.

Question: I am a doctor and relieve the suffering of patients. Since suffering pushes a person toward understanding the meaning of life and his egoistic nature, am I violating the thought of the Creator in this way?

Answer: It is said that permission has been given to the doctor to heal. The fact that you are relieving the suffering of patients entered the thought of the Creator from the beginning.

Question: Why do they say that thought is physical?

Answer: It is precisely because thought builds the physical world for us. Our entire world is a single thought. Even astronomers and cosmologists attest to feeling that nature and space are thought. Everything around us is thought.

Question: How can I love what someone else loves? Do I just ask him, or do I give him what he loves?

Answer: This is a more complicated matter. First, it is up to you to make Tzimtzum Aleph (the first restriction) on yourself, meaning that you don’t take your feelings into account at all. Then you already begin to receive your feelings from above Tzimtzum Aleph. And then you begin to feel the others within them.

Question: Why isn’t it possible for a person to remember his previous lives, or do they not exist?

Answer: In fact, there are no past lives. Basically these are impressions that have been inscribed so that we will finally reach the right decision.

Question: How is it possible to explain the expression, “The Creator said”; how can He speak if this is a force?

Answer: This is an expression of His desire. The desire of the Creator is revealed when the creature comes to resemble Him.

Question: What is the thread that joins the physical and spiritual world?

Answer: The connection or the characteristic that connects the two worlds is called Zeir Anpin. It serves as a conduit through which energy passes from the upper world to the lower world and from the lower world to the upper world. The upper world is Bina, the lower world is Malchut, and Zeir Anpin is found between them.

Question: Must I get used to the thought that my “self” is not my body, or should I wait until I will feel this clearly?

Answer: This must be discovered inside of you. There is no need to think about and imagine it. If you want to get the right intention, it is up to you to work only in a group according to the method in our workshops. Then you will feel advancement.

Question: Why did I have less resistance when I was exposed to religion for the first time in contrast to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: Religion is an egoistic method that “closes” the person in our world. It directs a person to work for its sake and to attain the upper world after death. Kabbalah believes that the religions, first Judaism, after that Christianity, and then Islam, don’t allow a person to develop properly. The religions were created by people following an egoistic attitude and interpretation of the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: If a person doesn’t discover the sixth sense in his lifetime, must he be born again on the face of the Earth?

Answer: Baal HaSulam wrote that we are already in the period of the Last Generation. It is up to us to invest the maximal amount of effort, and then only a significant ascent into the upper world is ahead for us. I invite everyone to join; we will help each other and rise together.

Magic Tricks—Only In A Circus

laitman_600_04Question: When you encountered the wisdom of Kabbalah, did you immediately see deep meaning in it or did you first want to learn magic?

Answer: I never wanted to learn magic, that always repelled me. After all, I am a man of science, so I understood that this wasn’t serious. Magic tricks can only be in a circus.

What was the benefit from Nostradamus, Messing, or Wanga divining the future? Did they achieve something through this? They spoke about what they felt and nothing more.

I never aspired to be involved with it and I believe that it is completely unimportant. People who can predict the future exist, but it is up to us to develop realistically toward the true goal and purpose of creation. And in particular we must draw “a full wagon” of seven billion people after us.

How Can We Acquire The Language Of Kabbalah?

laitman_249-03Question: How can we acquire the language of Kabbalah? What does it depend on?

Answer: All you have to do is to listen to Kabbalah lessons regularly and you will acquire the language of Kabbalah. It is like a child who learns how to speak from his mother, or a person who finds himself in a strange environment and gradually begins to understand the foreign language though his feeling and not through the mind.

This is also how we can begin to understand the language of Kabbalah, the description of the upper world, which we don’t feel at the moment. By studying the wisdom of Kabbalah and uniting we gradually acquire the attributes of the upper world and so we begin to understand its names because we associate them with the new feelings that we have acquired.

Who Is The Messiah?

Laitman_421_01Question: Baal HaSulam wrote in his article, “The Last Generation,” Part 1: “and they will come to the Messiah, to Jerusalem, and he will teach them this Torah.” Who is he talking about and who is the Messiah that they will come to?

Answer: All the nations of the world will turn to the upper force of nature, the force of unity and love that will pull humanity out of the original sin, of the ego. This force is called Messiah, stemming from the Hebrew root “Limshoch – to pull.”

We can summon this force only when we have a desire to ascend spiritually to the level of absolute love and bestowal that is based on complete fear of fulfilling the general commandment of the Torah, “love thy friend as thyself.” This level is called complete fear, Ira Shalem, or Jerusalem. If you wish to fulfill that, you are invited to take part in our courses.

Blitz Of Kabbalah Tips – 1/24/16

laitman_259_01Comment: You can find information on the Internet saying that a red string is a Kabbalistic Jewish lucky charm that can protect a person from envy and the evil eye.

Answer: A red string has nothing to do with Judaism or religion, and certainly not with the wisdom of Kabbalah. I don’t know where this idea comes from. I think it is an invention of the famous Berg Institute that engages in the desecration of the wisdom of Kabbalah and in selling anything they can: “holy water,” red strings, and other “Kabbalistic” accessories.

Question: Are there people who cannot be corrected?

Answer: Basically yes. These are people who cannot fully perceive reality. There are people who are born detached from reality and who relate to it differently than we do, and so the wisdom of Kabbalah isn’t for them.

Question: How does the wisdom of Kabbalah relate to female intuition? Is it real?

Answer: The wisdom of Kabbalah welcomes women who have strong intuition and those who don’t, but it has nothing to do with the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Question: Were Spinoza, Leibnitz, and Newton Kabbalists?

Answer: No.

Question: How does the wisdom of Kabbalah relate to a man’s unfaithfulness?

Answer: As the usual manifestations of animal behavior.

Question: How does the wisdom of Kabbalah regard artificial intelligence? What is its function?

Answer: This is a mechanical, computational intelligence that by calculations can resemble human feelings to some degree. On the other hand, any machine cannot recreate the Kabbalistic attribute of perceiving the upper world because it is based on the attribute of bestowal.

Question: In what way is a Kabbalist different from a prophet?

Answer: A prophet is a person who is directly connected to the upper force. It is a special attribute of the soul. You can become a prophet, but in order to do so you have to attain a special level on which you begin to feel the connection with the Creator on the level of a prophet.

Dispelling Myths About Kabbalah, Part 4

laitman_527_04The Story About Rising on the Steps of Love

Question: What does Torah write about according to the wisdom of Kabbalah? Does it describe the historical events?

Answer: The Torah describes the upper system that governs the entire world, including me. It explains how I can reveal this system and establish the direct, “short” relationship with my Creator.

The Torah gives a person the opportunity of bringing him to the love of the Creator through the love of the neighbor as himself. Love is the deepest and the most inner and intimate connection. Torah brings a person to these relations with all of humanity and with the Creator. This is not only spiritual, but also the complete instruction.

Question: Still, did the events described in Torah actually happen?

Answer: These states occurred within a person who was in the process of attaining the Creator, correcting his properties to such a degree until they would be equal to the properties of the upper force, and climbing the rungs of bestowal and love.

Question: Did people like Moses and Abraham exist?

Answer: Of course, they existed. All spiritual states described in the Torah also were realized in the material branches of this world. Every spiritual root has to touch its material branch and become manifested in it.

Question: Who was the first man, Adam HaRishon, according to the wisdom of Kabbalah?

Answer: A man whose name was Adam lived 5,777 years ago. He is considered the “first man” because he was the first one to reveal the Creator, the upper force, and he wrote a book about it titled Angel Raziel.

He was a person like you and me. After him we are called people, “children of Adam” (Bnei Adam) since all of us came from him.

This is not because he was the first human being in this world after the monkeys. Just like other people, he was born of a mother and father. However, Adam is called the first man because he was the first who revealed the upper system and the upper force existing within it, which governs all of us.

Question: How long has the world existed according to the wisdom of Kabbalah: 5,777 years or 14 billion years?

Answer: Obviously the world has existed for 14 billion years. The Kabbalistic books describe the Big Bang and the evolution of the world. Baal HaSulam writes how the Earth was going through the periods of warming and cooling for the duration of 30 million years. People simply don’t understand what is really described in the Torah, and therefore they get confused.

Even 500 years before Darwin, the great Kabbalist the Ari wrote that a human being developed from a monkey and this development took tens of thousands of years. All evidences obtained from the archeological excavations are true. Kabbalah is a science rather than a blind belief. It is based on Kabbalists’ research of reality. This research gives them the understanding of the world.

Question: Not everything described in the Torah seems to be like real events. For example, I never in my life have encountered a snake who could speak or a sea that could split.

Answer: The Torah does not speak about our world, but rather about the upper world. However, all spiritual roots reach our world and govern it. For example, the original serpent is our egoism, which sits within us and tempts us all the time.

The serpent, Adam, and Eve described in the Torah are the inner, spiritual properties that exist in each of us. The Torah speaks about the inner, spiritual properties within a person. When a person develops himself through the study of Kabbalah, he attains the forces existing within him, that relate to each other like Adam, Eve, the serpent, the tree of knowledge of good and evil. This is an inner dialog within a person.

Moses and Aaron exist within each of us. Everyone reveals the book of Torah and finds it within himself. The nation of Israel and nations of the world, Nebuchadnezzar, and Maccabees are all different forces of our soul.

Within us there is always a battle between the good and evil forces, which we are created from, as it is said “I created the evil inclination and Torah as addition to it as a remedy for its correction.”

The force of evil is constantly growing within us, manifesting itself with greater strength each day. At the same time, we have to attract the force of good, the Light of Torah that returns us to our source, through the study of Kabbalah. Thus we will constantly balance the growing force of egoism with the good force.

Two Systems Of Control

laitman_600_01Question: What is the spiritual root of cruelty?

Answer: There are two systems of control: right and left. The left is a cruel and terrible system, and the right is its opposite, it gently softens everything with affection, welcoming, encouragement, and support. And we advance in the middle line, more or less around it.

Sometimes the left line enters  the control of the world, and wars and annihilation begin, great suffering comes. If the right line enters the world, then we feel that everything is going well.

The problem is that when we feel good, we soften and weaken, returning the world to the hard line again.
