Awaken the System of Souls

963.5Question: Your teacher Rabash was the last in the chain of Kabbalists from the period when this wisdom was concealed. Now you are his successor. But the system arranges everything in such a way…

If we compare 1995 with what is happening now, back then only a few people studied Kabbalah, but now I don’t even know where all these people interested in studying Kabbalah are coming from. How does this happen?

Answer: This means that the system of souls is beginning to awaken. It’s not about me. Even though we disseminate our materials everywhere, trying to present them to everyone like in a shop window, this alone does not particularly awaken people.

They are awakened from above, from within, from the side of their soul. We strive to ensure that at that moment, they have the right Kabbalistic materials available so that they can begin their studies.

Question: Can our sluggishness or lack of promptness delay the transmitting of spirituality?

Answer: Of course. That’s why, knowing my mission clearly, I try to fulfill it as much as possible in terms of both time and volume.

Question: Do you know your mission completely?

Answer: No, I don’t know what lies ahead for me. Maybe some new necessity will arise. But I do know that I need to make Kabbalah as accessible as possible to every person in the world and to present the sources to everyone.

That means making The Book of Zohar available, then working through all the articles of Rabash and the Kabbalistic materials of Baal HaSulam. In other words, I must transmit them in such a way that any person in the world can understand them and, by grasping them, move forward.

Connect Points in the Heart

534Question: How can we practically distinguish our points in the heart and unite them?

Answer: Practically, decide! Pull this point out of yourself! Get rid of everything else! Kick away your “I,” your body, all this outer shell! That is why it is called Klipa. Shed it like a snake sheds its skin.

Comment: You say this so easily, but I do not quite understand how to do it.

My Response: It is actually very simple! Really. Just separate it.

Can you imagine it conceptually? We always communicate using feelings, expressing something. Extract that point!

Once you lived without it, went about your business, existing like a normal animal. Then suddenly, a point appeared that pulls you beyond the animalistic level. Isolate it, separate it from your physical self, and connect it with other points.

It is designed from above for us to exist separately so that we can demand the Creator. In that way, we can define our need for Him, determine where He exists, and what He must do. We begin to recognize the attributes of this force and how it manifests in relation to us.

We do not know the Creator Himself. We can only perceive His actions and manifestations concerning us. We can do this specifically when we attempt to unite our points. These points are our desires for Him.

However, these desires must not be egoistic but directed toward bestowal. Therefore, if we try to unite above our physical existence, disregarding our bodies and this world, we will begin to demand Him for the sake of bestowal.

The Human Mission

533.01Question: Can a person determine their mission? Not invent it, but clearly reveal it?

Answer: One must feel it on their own. I think that in this matter, one cannot listen to anyone, only to their own heart. Look into the most essential. What do you want to leave behind? How can you contribute to this great process that is unfolding with humanity, even with souls? That is, with humanity, not in our world, but in a more perfect space.

Question: Suppose you have students who come, study, and leave, and there are those who invest in certain processes. How can those who come to study find their function? Or is their function simply to study?

Answer: First of all, by studying Kabbalah, you simultaneously correct yourself and the world and bring other souls closer to the point where they too begin to reveal the upper world and the Creator. Studying Kabbalah is an activity in itself.

However, in principle, when a Kabbalist is involved in other everyday matters and interacts with the world, these activities still exert a positive influence on the world. Even at their workplace, no matter what they do or how they communicate with people, they still subconsciously carries out their line, their positive influence on the world.

Question: So it does not have to be an explicit effort to invest in dissemination, to make a loud impact on the world?

Answer: No, if it is given, it is given; if not, then not. It is simply everyone’s mission. I am not to blame for being the way I am. If you were to ask me, “What would you like to do?” perhaps I would be more involved in development, writing, and creating another methodology. Not just another, but a less practical area.

I understand that what I have been given is the most suitable for me; it is just that I do not fully realize it yet. But I am drawn less to the practical actions I engage in (working with a group of students, television, books, and everything else) and more toward deeper, internal study of the material.

But probably the needs of the world and the times push me toward practical actions. Even Rabash told me this.

So there is nothing to be done. Everyone has their own mission, and it must be fulfilled. I do not see anything grand in my mission. I do not think it is visible in me that I take pride in it or value myself for what I do. There is no such thing in Kabbalah, such things are removed immediately.

The fact is that the entire space is filled only by the Creator; while you dissolve into Him, your “I” is not yours. A Kabbalist can only say that they are fulfilling the Creator’s will, and that is all. He does not have his own desire, they do not have themselves because their desire already aligns with the Creator’s desire.

Question: You said that you are drawn to deeper, internal study of the material. What do you mean?

Answer: Personally, I would study Kabbalistic material much more deeply. I do not know if I could describe it the way Baal HaSulam did in The Study of the Ten Sefirot or in his articles. Quite possibly, I could not. But I am drawn to deeper analysis, to revealing connections, not revealing them to the world, but first and foremost to myself. It is difficult for me to express this.

For example, to present the methodology the way Rabbi Shimon did in The Book of Zohar, but to describe it in a way that is closer to us, to people—more emotionally, more psychologically.

Unfortunately, due to lack of time, I cannot engage in this.

A Game at the Cost of Life

962.1Question: People can simply go crazy when playing a game because they become so engrossed in the game that they can go for days without tearing themselves away from it. This is especially true for the current generation that practically lives on the Internet.

How can we create the same level of engagement in spiritual development? Not by forcing oneself, but by presenting it as a delicious candy that draws you inward.

Answer: Enter spiritual development and you will see that it is the most captivating game. It is the game of life, a game with the Creator! You can create it!

Any game is a weak imitation of what Kabbalah offers you: the ability to create, to change, and to shape things yourself. That is why we get so absorbed in games. It is because they contain an act of creation, even destruction, it does not matter. But it is creation; you are making something new. You are, in a way, the master, you have power in your hands, choice, tension, joy, resolution, a kind of ecstasy.

All of these are small fragments of the process that Kabbalah grants you when you gain the ability to change worlds within yourself. It is a game that no computer can ever compare to!

I sit in front of the text of The Book of Zohar from which you have just distracted me, and I am waiting for only one thing—for you to get tired of talking to me so I can return to it. And so it is for 20 hours a day.

I take short breaks to walk, eat, do something when necessary just to sustain myself. But all the rest of the time, I am ready to be in it. It is such a fascinating process, an enchanting and unexpected path that nothing else can replace!

In my youth, I lived in Leningrad and was like any other student: girls, Preference (a card game), parties, songs, and trips. I voluntarily worked as a sound engineer for a rock band called Nomads. Once we even won first place in our city.

But spiritual attainment cannot be compared to anything! In a computer game, you are given more possibilities than in regular, real life. You have to go somewhere, crawl, do something. In the end, it is all difficult and quite time-consuming before you achieve something.

This is not for our egoism, which wants everything right now, immediately, as soon as possible, much brighter, and in a controlled manner. That is why it has all shifted into the virtual computer world.

But here, in the spiritual world, everything is billions of times brighter. And it is not a game, not an illusion—turn off the computer, and it is gone. The virtual world was created by someone either to make money from it or because they themselves enjoy playing.

But in spirituality, you are not playing. You are building, creating! You were made for that! This is the most natural fulfillment, the most vivid experience you can have! It cannot be compared to anything at all. Our world, with all its lures? I is just…

That is why, after all the obsessions with computers, the next level is only Kabbalah, only the introduction of a person into the real spiritual world. Otherwise, they will drown in an unreal, virtual world, and they will need nothing but a narcotic pill to immerse themselves inside their computer, and that is it. And that is exactly how it will be—through the realization of evil, through recognition of the deceit of those pursuits.

Calling upon the Upper Force

938.07Question: We constantly try to connect. Everyone is exhausted and does not know how to. And you say: “It is simple, guys! What is the problem? Just connect, and that is it.”

Answer: The issue is that a person cannot isolate that inner point within oneself, one’s spiritual “I,” the point in the heart, which is a part of the Creator from above and exists within one. Otherwise, they would not be here.

Our circle consists of chosen individuals from all over the world who feel drawn to attaining the Creator and the essence of life.

I am trying to elevate them so they can extract this point, separate it from their corporeal shell and everything else, and connect it with the points of their friends. Only then will they be able to form a spiritual vessel.

As they attempt to connect their points, they will realize they cannot do it on their own and will be compelled to call upon the upper force to connect them. Then they will feel the upper force, the Creator within themselves, in the measure of their connection with one another and with Him. This state is already spiritual.

Loss of Consciousness

928Comment: Once when you were talking about bestowal you said that reception does not exist.

My Response: Yes, indeed, reception does not exist.

It exists only in our imagination, in our fantasy. Therefore, our entire world is imaginary, unreal, because there is no such force or property as “reception.” It manifests itself as if in a state of loss of consciousness.

In other words, to the extent that we are in a loss of awareness of true existence, to that extent we exist as if in a dream, in an unconscious state in which we imagine our life in reception, in accumulation.

It is only our clouded consciousness that represents everything to us in this way. It is as if you are asleep, and this world is depicted to you in your dream.

As it is said in the Psalms that when a person returns to connection with the Creator, he reveals that he was asleep.

How to Embrace the Spiritual Field?

956Comment: When you describe spiritual images, you say that at present we perceive ourselves in a completely different way. But when you explain this, you still try to put it in some form.

Answer: Otherwise, how would I be able to reproduce it?

Question: Suppose I asked you how spirituality can be conveyed? In a visual sense, this is difficult to do. But maybe there are some allegories or categories?

Answer: I convey it with words such as, for example, “field.”

Question: By “field,” do you mean waves, vibrations in the air?

Answer: No, it is a kind of a space filled with something, and you move within it. Depending on where you are in this space, you detect its new properties each time.

And then you begin to understand that this happens not because you are moving and thus detect its properties, but because these movements are, in principle, your own, while the field is constant, and there is nothing else in it but love.

Question: But this field is infinite. And I am like an element that can move within it?

Answer: Yes, some kind of finite element, a detector.

Question: But how can you embrace the entire field while being a small element?

Answer: Even if you are very small, when you acquire the same quality of love as the field, then there will be no barrier between you, and you will feel yourself fully sensing it, comprehending it, merging with it.

The Past Does Not Exist

419Comment: You claim that everything that was in the past, all of history, everything we see, as if never existed. But I look at old ruins and see that they seem so real that I cannot say they never existed.

My Response: Everything is genuine indeed! But all of this is within your awareness! This is what “genuine in my mind” and “genuine in my sensation” mean.

Question: But did it exist?

Answer: There is no such thing as “it existed or not.” Time does not exist at all. There is an objective reality given to us in our sensations. It turns out that reality is given to us in our sensations. Marxists put it correctly. No matter how you look at it, they were truly right. And Kabbalah supports this view. Moreover, it has been saying this for thousands of years!

Question: How should I relate to this? Why are people so fascinated by history, historical films, and historical events?

Answer: Because it all seems to be about us! People don’t really want to know about the present because it is very limited. It is always concerned more about the past or the future. The present is just a moment. Life is a moment between the past and the future. Therefore, we exist between the past and the future, and we’re interested in it.

The past is interesting because it defines the future. The past itself is interesting in the future: “Where am I from? Why me? Who am I?” This all speaks about me personally, about things I do not know because it seems I was not there then. But all of it relates to me.

In other words, if I want to understand something about myself today, I can better understand it if I knew where I came from, what defines me, who made me, who has been nurturing me for thousands of years, where, and so on. Therefore, people are interested, society is interested, every country is interested in its past, either to hide it or to reveal it (which is already politics).

The future is also unknown to anyone. Naturally, it is interesting. The present is transient. It consists of the past and the future.

But Kabbalah does not speak of time at all. It claims that time itself does not exist, and there is only the past and the future, which also do not exist just like the present. That is, I feel all of this.

But objectively, outside of me, there is no time, no sensations, no events. There is only one reality—the creation completely filled by the Creator. And this creation gradually undergoes internal changes in the revelation of the Creator.

Gradual revelation of the Creator to His creation is the course of all that exists. Moreover, this gradual revelation occurs within the creation and nowhere else.

It is divided into several stages. One of the stages is the unconscious revelation of the Creator when a a peron appears and unconsciously develops on the earth.

The next stage is when in our time, a person begins to work with this and can consciously reveal the Creator. He is pushed to this by his state, and Kabbalah helps him in this.

What Is Our Reality?

168Comment: In principle, I understand that our reality is a dream, but it is still impossible to treat it as such.

My Response: We need to perceive this reality a little differently, in a more composite way and try to illuminate it from multiple angles that take into account other states as well.

This is what society, science, crises, and everything we are going through demand of us today. Otherwise, we will not understand our world. We must envision and comprehend it differently, not as an ordinary person does, but at a slightly higher level. Life demands this of us.

The fact is that our everyday life, even its most mundane aspects, requires us to understand this life, this world, its causes, and its purposes. We see that we understand nothing of what is happening in our world and cannot reach any solutions.

Neither politicians, sociologists, nor political analysts can offer anything. We need to rise above because we have simply lost our way like a herd that is leading ourselves to some kind of precipice with no way forward while pressure builds from behind. Perhaps humanity needs to go in a completely different direction.

That is, our present, illusory, however we define reality, forces us to wake up, change, and recognize it as just one among many in order to understand the cause and effect of our state.

It is easy to say that five billion years ago the universe emerged, half a million years ago the Earth, sometime later life on Earth, and in another million years, either sooner or later, it will all end. So what? Is that all?

If so, then we confine ourselves to an earthly animalistic framework? But what if life compels us to resolve this problem? And although in our earthly, animal existence, we only care for the body, which is why we call such a life an animal existence, we are still not allowed to remain in it. We must find the true meaning of life; otherwise, we will suffer. Nature will force us to do so.

Overcome Confusion

528.01Question: Do I understand correctly that I must fill in and correct the qualities of my friends?

Answer: Of course, these are your qualities!

Question: How exactly should we relate to this? People have different personalities. Let us say I see a scoundrel or someone good. How do I interact and connect with them?

Answer: You can see how confusing this is. Now you will ask: “If I see others as a part of me, should I correct them or myself? If they correct themselves, they will be corrected in me. If I correct myself, they will be corrected on the outside. What should we do?”

I understand all this confusion, but none of this is necessary because it will lead you to all sorts of philosophies that will only distance you from the necessary practical actions. Ultimately, you will not achieve anything; you will only be confused or brag to others about how smart you are.

That is why Kabbalah is against it! First, it limits the portions given to people in the measure they can implement correctly. You do not need more. What for? Otherwise, it is all nonsense, philosophy.

In addition, there are some things a person simply cannot perceive correctly, which confuse him even more. This is not allowed. If you start telling an unprepared person about quantum physics and all sorts of variables beyond time, he will say you are not in your right mind.
