Ascent to Love
Question: What would you say to young people who are already living together and love each other, but constantly fear that one day it might suddenly end?
Answer: This is called Ira (in Hebrew), which is not just fear but anxiety, a special kind of anxiety about preserving good relationships.
Question: Does this mean they are approaching true love between them?
Answer: Yes, it is as if they are climbing a mountain. Egoism continuously grows, it becomes more sophisticated and therefore sharper. But it is precisely through working together that they rise and draw even closer to each other.
Question: What awaits them at the summit?
Answer: At the summit, spiritual closeness begins, which will create a higher connection between them, one that is truly above egoism. They will start to connect in such a way that they will understand each other without words, only through thoughts; they will intertwine with one another.
Question: Is this the highest state of connection?
Answer: Yes, just as snakes in a pit intertwine with one another, so will they intertwine, only not in an egoistic, but in a mutual, kind attitude toward each other.
Comment: That is quite a turning point. Suddenly, you compared it to snakes, and it became a bit unsettling.
My Response: Why? It is very relevant and direct.
Question: Do these snakes exist within us?
Answer: It is precisely thanks to our great and cunning egoism, if we begin to use it correctly, to draw closer, to wrap around each other, then in this way we will ascend ever closer to the Creator.
