When Words and Gestures Become Unnecessary

942Question: You said that inspiration and transmission of information should be brief, clear, and to the point, not rambling statements that go on for five to ten minutes where one person speaks and everyone else is silent as if forcing themselves: “Yes, we must listen.” What should a truly inspiring speech be like?

Answer: That is a big problem, because our guys start quoting excerpts, using official jargon, and bringing in all sorts of explanations. Here, you just need to express your inner expression as simply as possible, from heart to heart, to convey the maximum feeling with the minimum number of words, and that is all.

Therefore, I am in favor of everything being very brief, without unnecessary intellectualization. A person should prepare in advance so that it would burst out from their heart, as they say, “without thinking.” But this is not easy; it comes gradually.

In addition, the listeners themselves are not yet attuned to understanding. We don’t yet communicate with each other internally, through feelings. Just as a mother feels her baby without words, and the baby feels the mother through subconscious sensations, so too should we feel one another. Much more so!

Then our external communication, words, gestures, facial expressions will become superfluous. Over time, all this will cease, and you will be able to transmit your sensations to others and receive them completely outside of physical contact, even if the person is no longer in our world but on some other levels.

That is, you no longer associate him with his body. Whether he is somewhere, a couple of thousand kilometers away from you in his body, or outside the body, in another dimension, what is the difference?

A Turbulent Period for Humanity

293Humanity has entered such a turbulent period that there is nothing left to do but hold on. And we must hold on to one another. In this way, humanity will be brought to unity and forced to understand that we live in a global world. This is not some kind of global politics; it is simply that we are compelled to unite.

Globalism is not about the fact that I must take everyone into account in order to pursue my own policy or somehow manipulate the world. Globalism is about understanding that this world is shared, and if I do not care about someone else, then ultimately, I do not care about myself. Even from the point of view of egoism, I am involuntarily obliged to include the entire world within the bounds of my benevolent self-interest.

Nature will force us to this. We will still see what will happen. Mainly these will be environmental problems. In addition, we have not yet finished with the economic crisis; everything is still ahead. No matter how much we try to cover it up, it will explode.

Comment: Egoism is so adaptive. After some time, a person gets used to everything and is no longer afraid.

My Response: No, egoism does not “get used to” things; it develops. A person does not get used to anything. This is a mistaken understanding of what is happening to people. They do not adapt; they simply carry out the commands of their egoism. They cannot return to the past.

If they actually returned to the past and we froze at a previous level, even with a new egoism, then that would be adaptation. But we do not adapt; we follow the dictates of egoism, we become different, change ourselves, our nature, our society, our relationships, everywhere and in everything.

So what are we supposedly getting used to? Families are falling apart. Children leave their parents. The entire former system of relationships is changing. The greatness of science, the greatness of culture—all of this is declining.

Humanity (and especially those in power, together with the mass media, no matter how much they try to gloss it over) is still undergoing a very stormy renewal of the world. We are not getting used to it.

You want to say that people still continue to act egoistically? That is correct. But this too is planned by nature in order to bring humanity, so to speak, to the edge. And there will be blows, strong blows. It is precisely these that gradually lead us to awareness.

The point is not to strike. The point is that small blows should provoke the development of thought, awareness, comprehension, and feelings: “Where are these from, for what, and why? What is required of me? Who requires it? Nature? Does it have its own authority, its own power, its own opinion, its own goal, its own plan? Am I obliged to respond to this? Am I obliged to take it into account? Me? Who am I? A human being! I am above everyone!”

No, you are small. Who are you? What can you do? Entire villages burn down. A couple of hurricanes will sweep through and knock out all the electricity, or rivers that have not yet dried up will overflow their banks. And then such cold will come that all the pipes will burst and people will freeze. What can you do?

You will start thinking and suddenly realize that it is truly necessary to somehow come to one another’s aid. You will no longer walk around with your nose in the air, as if to say that you do not care about the whole world.

In no way do I want to speak contemptuously about anyone. I am saying that the blows of nature will force us to be different. When a person is in pain, he becomes human. When a serious illness is suddenly discovered, there is no time for polite conversation; he is already thinking about how to survive. This is how nature, the Creator, forces us.

Comment: People unite only when there are misfortunes.

My Response: But there will be misfortunes all the time! That will not be a problem. From now on, it will only keep escalating.

Question: But everyone, first of all, saves their own skin, don’t they?

Answer: People will have nowhere to go; there will be nowhere to save themselves! Neither America, nor Russia, nor Europe will have anywhere to escape to. The Asians will join in as well. Just wait.

Comment: But surely there is some boundary a person eventually crosses.

My Response: Crosses to where? They will beat him down to the point where he wants to die and will not be able to.

They will not allow it! The higher governance will not allow it. Can you imagine how hard it can be?

And on the other hand, we must develop and spread Kabbalah so that people see there is salvation; there is a method for changing oneself. Then you immediately change your entire perception of nature.

The Creator, nature, no longer becomes hostile toward you. You begin to enter into unison, into harmony with Him, and you feel goodness, paradise instead of hell.

918.02Comment: You say humanity is being pushed toward awareness by blows.

My Response: Naturally. We see that the blows are pushing humanity toward a more realistic view of the world.

Comment: There is a vast amount of information in this world.

My Response: There is no vast amount of information here. It is all nonsense, all on the earthly level, at the level of a small man who can collect crumbs from what he imagined with his five material senses and a small head, and at the same time, he thinks he is drowning in these crumbs.

There is no need to drown in it. Why? You must imagine this world as something that is depicted in your ego, rise above it, and then you will see it as a small grain, because there is no vast information here. These are all your little egoistic impressions of what is depicted to you.

You are like a child who imagines this world as if there is so much in it! But in fact, there is nothing in it. This is purely egoistic matter seeking to maintain an optimal egoistic state throughout its existence and then die.

What is there in this world? What can you offer me between life and death if it all comes to an end?
Nothing. That means I am no longer interested in it. If everything ends, I am no longer interested. This is how I look at life. And this is why I immediately dismiss all your philosophies and politics. What is America or Russia, what difference does it make to me? As the Prophet says, “Calm down, calm down, nations.”

Comment: But you are talking from a position of knowing.

My Response: Not because I know! Once, I did not know anything either. But I was looking at the fact that it all has a beginning and an end. So what difference does it make to me what happens midway?

If the train is heading to a junkyard, what then? We sit in it, open a bag of sandwiches, chicken, beer, and play cards. And then what? We are going to a dead end anyway. Therefore, I am not getting on this train. And if there are theaters, movies, and all kinds of games inside the train, I have no interest in that either, because it is going to a dead end. I do not look at human history, the public, politics, or anything else, because it is all inside this train.

I have held this view since childhood. I could not see it any other way. I had to find another way, take another train, like Harry Potter’s platform “nine and three-quarters.” I need to find the platform from which the train departs in the other direction.

Comment: But you did not initially assume that you could simply feel it.

Answer: Of course, I did not know where it was, but I also did not want to board that train. That was the most important thing for me. So I ran from everywhere, tried to search, but could not find anything. It was not easy for me. But when I found Kabbalah, I immediately quit my business with pleasure and immersed myself in it.

I do not advocate this kind of lifestyle. It is given to a person either as happiness or as misfortune. I do not know how to say this, but it is a special desire for a goal. I am just saying that many people are in this state today. Therefore, I appeal to them, to those who are looking for another train and not the one that goes to a dead end. That is the most important thing.

The Torah states that it is a cure for death. This intrigued me because it is the most important thing. Everything else is nonsense; everything else does not matter. I am saying this as an old man. What does it matter what you fill your life with? You are only 30 years old, while I do not have much time left. I am telling you, there is nothing else to base your life on.

And when the younger generation finally begins to understand this early in life, it is simply a blessing that they are given such an epiphany from above, not to be polluted by various conventions.

They need to find an environment for themselves, whose purpose is clear and precise—to achieve eternity.

At the Empty Feeder

294.2We must show humanity that there is a cure for death, an elixir of immortality. But not in a way that allows a person to try it, he tries and that’s it; I won’t give him any more.

When a person begins to study Kabbalah, over the course of several months, he or she is shown a little that other states exist, and he constantly goes through them.

He sees that something is changing in him: his psyche, his psychology, his attitude toward the world, toward life, and toward himself; his consciousness expands; he begins to think on two levels—on the spiritual and the earthly level.

To a complete stranger it is enough to tell a little about the method, to give logical examples. Baal HaSulam writes in the book The Last Generation that there is no other way out.

We see in the examples of our world how we are nevertheless being helped to show that something needs to be done with it and with ourselves. If our world were in good condition, it would be much more difficult for us to tear a person away from the material feeding trough. But as it is, he sees that the feeder is already empty, and soon everything will be over.

The Relevance of Dissemination

271Question: How should dissemination be expressed? Are there certain boundaries that we cannot cross?

Answer: The boundaries should be what is acceptable, decent, but without any fear, equivocation, or hints. Simply, in a direct way. Friends, look at what we have today: on one hand, the path of suffering, on the other hand, the path of correction. And you will immediately begin to feel yourselves and the world differently.

Yes, it is not easy. But it is simple if we are together. What does this mean? It means a change in social relations. It means new social relations that are built on brotherhood, camaraderie, mutual help, on the fact that we are elements of one single system. Let’s begin to build ourselves exactly as this system exists within us. This network exists between us.

Let’s first accept not to harm one another as a goal. Everywhere—at home, at work, on the road, wherever you are—let’s consider ourselves members of one family.

Comment: This instinct is characteristic of ants protecting their anthill.

My Response: What difference does it make? With the help of this, you attain the level of the Creator! And in fact, today you are an ant.

By fulfilling the laws of Kabbalah, we do not demean ourselves, but we elevate ourselves because in the correct connection between us, we reveal the upper force of nature.

What Is the Meaning of Life

202Question: You have spent your whole life studying the meaning of life. But isn’t the meaning of life different for each person? After all, our entire life depends on our upbringing and environment, and therefore, our decisions and thoughts depend on our lived experience. If altruistic goals were initially embedded in us, how would we live, and what would that give us?

Answer: First of all, the meaning of life is not to live, then find its meaning, and then die. The meaning of life must be understood already at the beginning of life.

Question: So is the meaning of life still different for everyone?

Answer: Everyone has their own meaning of life even if it is common to all. We are all like small animals with very similar qualities. There is nothing special in anyone or anything.

There is one nature that truly has the meaning of life, which is to correctly bring itself to the next state, to rise to the next level, and to raise us there as well.

We must understand where our evolution is heading in order to rise to this level and not cross into it the way it usually happens in nature, through various cataclysms that we are facing now.

Let us ensure that this transition does not occur in such extreme, abrupt, dramatic situations. We are in a crisis, standing before a wall in science, in the arts, in human society, in communication with one another, between generations, everywhere.

Question: Is it precisely now, before this wall that the question of the meaning of life arises?

Answer: Yes, and it must be clarified. This is very important. This is what the science of Kabbalah deals with. That is why it is being revealed to everyone and is offering itself to humanity.

Question: So the meaning of nature’s life is to bring us to this question, and the meaning of human life is to clarify this question. What, then, is the meaning of life?

Answer: The meaning of life is to rise by oneself to the next evolutionary level. Just as we have always ascended automatically at the levels of inanimate, vegetative, and animate nature, now, being at the human level, we must rise to the next, higher level.

Call it spiritual, although it has nothing to do with religions. It is existence in the spirit, in the inner meaning of a person, when one reveals the upper world within oneself.

If we can rise above the nature that exists within us, we will begin to sense a completely different world.

Question: Does this mean that until today we were led by our egoism, which has now reached its limit, and now we must live not egoistically?

Answer: We must rise to the next level but no longer by means of egoism. We must do so with the help of a special force of nature called the light, which we must draw upon ourselves. It corrects us, changes us, and makes us similar to the next, higher level.

Nature Will Force Us to Correct Ourselves

95Question: Will nature, the Creator, put so much pressure on a person, but not allow him to die, that he will be ready to listen to the Kabbalists?

Answer: It is written in the Prophets, especially in Ezekiel, that merciful mothers will cook their children and eat them. That is one scenario. The second scenario is to take the method of correction and begin correcting oneself to resemble nature.

In principle, you understand that egoism develops. On one hand, there is the light; on the other hand, there is egoism, which gradually develops, becomes increasingly opposite to the light, and senses this opposition as various kinds of suffering: illnesses, many kinds of blows on the personal, social, political, and economic levels, at any level.

And to what extent will these sufferings continue? You will not be allowed to commit suicide; you must change your life. Nature will not give you this option; it will not allow you to succumb to drugs or something else. This is a temporary phenomenon.

You will not be able to use drugs. They will be lying next to you and you could take them, swallow them, and feel better. But “I can’t.” But you are suffering, aren’t you? “No, I cannot take it.”

Nature will force us to realize that we are opposite to it, that we are against the Creator. Like in Egypt with Pharaoh, something must be done; we must escape our egoism in order to soften this path and not climb the ladder of suffering within an ever-growing egoism.

We cannot reduce egoism; we cannot in any way limit its growth. And what can you do? You can only begin to correct it. The method of correction is Kabbalah. It shows you how, with the help of the force of the Creator, with the help of the light, to change the egoism. You have no other way out.

Only for this reason, we, those who have this method, must spread Kabbalah throughout the entire world as quickly as possible by any means. This is our task.

To Be Born on a New Degree

535.03Question: In our world, a person is born, develops, becomes an adult, and has children of their own. But when a person crosses the Machsom, does he then build himself, his soul, beyond it?

Answer: Yes. He already chooses: whether to “eat” from the mother or not, whether to be closer to her or not; he does things independently and learns from her.

Comment: In our world, a person eventually dies.

My Response: In spirituality, he dies on his current degree in order to ascend to the next degree. There is no death there as there is in our corporeal body.

He raises himself to the next degree, and after that, his previous degree dies. It seemingly disappears from his rigid governance. He begins to work with new qualities, with new ten Sefirot. The past remains beneath him; there is no longer any need for it.

Question: So is being born and dying like passing through one point in the heart until complete correction?

Answer: In spirituality, as we pass through 125 degrees, we die at each one and are born anew on the next degree.

What does “we die” mean? I have simply completed working on the previous degree and now I am as if born as a new person. I awaken and feel that new qualities have appeared within me. I begin to perceive the world in a new way. This is clearly happening to me.

Both birth and death are desirable! I myself evoke them within me.

No Regrets

629.3Question: What if you make a wrong choice? I checked everything, did everything, and made a wrong decision.

Answer: How do you know it is wrong?

Comment: As a result, I did not reach my goal.

My Response: But that will be evident after you make the decision.

Comment: After that, when I had already jumped.

My Response: After implementation?

Question: Yes, that is right. I realized I had made the wrong decision. What should I do about it?

Answer: Do nothing.

Question: I eat myself up on the inside after that! I double-checked everything, jumped, and everything is wrong!

Answer: You cannot do anything. There is nothing more to do, nothing to blame.

Question: Not to blame yourself?

Answer: No, absolutely not!

Question: How do I stop myself?

Answer: Relate it to the Creator.

Question: So before I was the one who measured everything? But after it happened…

Answer: The Creator did it. For sure it was the Creator.

Comment: That is, we have now come to the golden rule. I check everything.…

My Response: I decide, I act, and the Creator does the rest.

Question: No regrets, nothing?

Answer: Nothing. That is how it was intended from the beginning.

Comment: If it were possible to live like this, you would have no regrets at all.

My Response: So live like that.

Comment: “Live like that!” I wish I could learn to live like that.

My Response: You should have no regrets about anything! Everything is orchestrated from above.

Why Everybody Hates Jews

963.4Comment: Kabbalah says that one should not be afraid of external factors and that what is happening around us does not really influence us, but merely creates a kind of picture of pressure or tension around us.

My Response: What does “does not influence” mean? We see how much influence Hitler had, or Bohdan Khmelnytsky, or the persecutions in western Europe when Jews were gathered from cities or small towns into synagogues and burned alive.

We see what serious reasons there were that affected the people’s attitude toward life, toward the world, and toward themselves.

Question: And why did everyone have the desire to take it out on the Jews?

Answer: Who else could they take it out on? And all those pogroms? That was the only way they “vented” it. The population was deliberately educated and directed so that they would take it out on them.

Question: But why weren’t there some other nation toward which the hatred of the others would have been directed?

Answer: In general, there is only one reason for hatred: the Jews’ failure to fulfill their mission.
Within the Jewish people there exists an inner point of light, and it cannot be explained. It is of a mystical nature and cannot be correctly understood or perceived by anyone else.

A person feels that there is something in them that is different from me. Moreover, something that I subconsciously feel is not just about oppressed people; no, they are special. They have something.

On the one hand, they gave me religion. All of their ancestors are my gods. I worship all of their ancestors. For example, in the center of St. Petersburg there stands St. Isaac’s Cathedral. I call all my priests by their ancient names. I took their entire religion from them.

And yet they still cling to it and do not want to accept what I made from it. By their very existence, they prove that they are the ones who are right, not me.

And I cannot destroy it if they do not accept me as their successor. They must accept it, not just agree out of hopelessness or simply stay away.

If they do not accept this, then my religion is worth nothing, my world is worth nothing, and the future world that I have drawn for myself is also worth nothing. That is, their mere existence confirms that everything that I have invented for myself about the future world is incorrect.

Question: The nations of the world say: “We hate the Jews.” But Jesus Christ, was he not a Jew?

Answer: It does not matter. All of this has to be justified somehow. I do not think that anyone really understands it at all. In all religions it is so convoluted. What can you do? We are already at the end of all this; there will still be surges. All of this will lead to another huge war, perhaps not only a spiritual one, but also a physical one. There is nothing that can be done about it.
