Question: Religions do not talk about the value of this life. Follow more commandments and you will go to heaven. In principle, does this approach completely cancel both mind and all questions?

Answer: No, this approach is good for the normal social scheme of society. But they really do not say that there is value in this life, only beyond its borders.

But Kabbalah says something different: You must attain your world in this world. Open the upper world here and now, and then you will find that you are in eternity, infinity, perfection.

This spiritual world is here. We don’t feel it. Expand this sense organ in yourself, open it, and from it you will see the upper world. It is yours. And when your body dies, you will not even feel that you are dying.

By developing a higher level, we automatically stop feeling the previous one because we begin to feel the flow of life on a different level.

Throughout millions of years of existence we have narrated all kinds of myths and fairy tales to each other in order to connect all kinds of natural phenomena. Therefore, the belief in miracles and the attempts of science to explain them logically is probably inherent in us at the genetic level.

Do you also think that believing in miracles is a physiological tendency? Where does it come from?

Answer: A person wants to learn, to believe, and to feel what is beyond one’s comprehension. A person keenly listens, closely looks, and tries to go beyond the boundaries of his feelings. This is why miracles attract us so much.

Question: From your point of view is this good or bad?

Answer: It is good! This is a human attribute! One does not run away, but on the contrary, tries to get closer, to understand this “miracle” if, of course, it does not repel him.

Question: What if he just believes in miracles and does not even try to explain them? Let’s say he has a tendency to believe.

Answer: This already depends on his calculations, what he wants to achieve from such an attitude to miracles.

Question: Many people write to us that they lead their life feeling offended for different reasons. There are people who cannot forgive their parents for having destroyed their marriage. Teachers are offended by ungrateful students. Parents do not forgive their children who have abandoned them.

According to some psychologists, everything falls into specific categories, and they explain three major reasons for feeling insulted and the implications of this feeling. They say that if you are a clever person, you can control this feeling, and they explain how you can do so. What is your attitude regarding the feeling of being insulted?

Answer: I am never offended by anyone because I know human nature, and the better I know human nature, the better I know that there is no one to be offended by. Kabbalists say that if you are offended by someone, “Go and tell the craftsman who made me,” go to the Creator who has made me the way I am.

Question: Is this a serious attitude?

Answer: It is not about whether it is serious or not—it is the truth. Where can a person’s thoughts, feelings, attributes, or actions come from? There is nothing in him that is his. He is simply totally enclosed in what nature does with him, which means the Creator.

Question: This is a sublime state. If we go back to an ordinary earthly person, then, for example, parents whose children do not help and have abandoned them or someone who has betrayed his friend, how can one work with such emotions? Answer: True. That is what you should do and then you are truly a human being. You are totally on the side of the other person.

Answer: Of the one who has hurt you. I am not talking just about being hurt. I believe that we need to reach such a level in our development at which you begin to understand that all other people around you are like puppets on a string and that the Creator controls them so that you will correct yourself in relation to them and be able to justify them and wish them all the best.

Answer: We are all in one system on all the levels of still, vegetative, animate, and speaking nature so whatever happens on one level affects all other levels. People on the speaking level have the greatest impact. If their relations are imbalanced, negative energies that stem from them affect all other levels.

Question: Does the feeling of hatred attract energy that causes accumulative harm to the world?

Answer: Of course. Because everything is energy, feeling, attitude.

Question: Experts who speak about the emission of greenhouse gasses claim that the climate crisis requires man to change as well. What is the change that needs to take place on the human level?

Answer: A change in relations between people. If people change, the calm, balanced, and good connection they will bring to the world will impact all levels of nature: the still, the vegetative, and the animate. Question: How do Kabbalists view supernatural phenomena in nature?

Answer: There are no supernatural phenomena. What does “supernatural” mean? From which point does “natural” begin and from which point does “above nature” begin? Everything that is within the framework of our egoistic phenomena is called natural because we are in this nature. And everything that is higher than our egoistic properties is called supernatural.

All nature, whatever it may be, that is reflected in our ideas, in our properties, forces, qualities, and feelings is divided into the natural, that which is in us now, and the supernatural, that which is not in us yet today but tomorrow will be. Question: The Book of Zohar is written from the degree of the upper force that governs everything. Is that why it changes a person? Can it do everything?

Answer: It can do everything. But there is nothing in The Book itself, in its pages and symbols. It can be printed in China, or it doesn’t matter where, and given to anyone in the world to read.

It all depends on how much you want to penetrate through this book into the world that it describes. Then you will begin to see it as a multi-layered narrative.

Everything depends only on the desire! The Book itself does nothing. With your desire, you begin to reveal the connection with the upper world through it.

And then this connection gradually changes the person. He reveals the outer sphere, the upper force, the state in which we exist above our animal level. If we rise to a higher level, that is, from the inanimate to the vegetative, from the vegetative to the animal, from the animal to the human, then we cease to feel the previous level as explicitly existing.

For example, when my hair or nails are cut I do not feel pain, I do not feel that I am losing something from my body because this is the plant level that is lower than an animal. We have exactly the same feeling when we find the upper world and look at our material world: “Cut it off!” We remain to exist forever in perfection together with the upper force that determines everything. That’s what we exist for.

A person reveals the source of the upper force. The meeting with the Creator takes place in the connection of people with each other. This is exactly what The Book of Zohar helps with.

I hope that by doing it correctly, humanity will come to get rid of egoism, to solve all its problems.

Question: Why is pursuing the truth, even if it is wrong, restricted by censorship? Basically, the whole world is censored.

Answer: The whole world is a totally egoistic field only engaged in planting weeds at the level of still, vegetative, animate, and human, trying to create something out of them to conquer the world, win, defeat, and break it. It is natural. Our whole world is built on a completely different nature.

If some company creates a website where people would advocate an ideologically correct direction of human development, then, of course, they will have to come to Kabbalah.

Question: Could there be disputes and differing opinions?

Answer: Of course. There can be disputes in revealing the truth. But these are disputes not about who is right and who is wrong but what the truth is. The main thing is to have the correct ideology. It does not matter to me who is right or wrong. We need to find out the law of nature that is outside of you and outside of me. We scrutinize it, and we strive for it together.

Question: We know that Kabbalists of the past always had different opinions. Were these disputes aimed to identify a higher level?

Answer: Of course! They greatly encouraged the difference and variety of opinions. This is how truth is revealed. As it is said: “Truth is born in a dispute.” But not in disputes that are currently taking place in parliaments of different countries.

Question: Why do we have difficulties studying the material when the second restriction (Tzimtzum Bet)  is explained?

Answer: Because the first restriction is made upon the egoistic desire to receive that is naturally in us.

And with the second restriction, it is not entirely clear what it operates on. It operates on the fact that there is no opportunity to receive but only to become like the property of bestowal with no reception.

That is, there is this first opportunity when I receive and my intention is to receive for the sake of the Giver in order to give Him pleasure. And the second one is when I do not receive because I cannot receive in order to please Him.

Question: Can you give an example? Let’s say, I have several million dollars, and I do not use it at all because I understand that I will use them for myself and will not be connected with the upper force and it is important for me to be in touch with it. This is the first state.

The second state is when I determine that I can use some part, for example, a $100,000 not for myself, but for others. And then to the extent that I use this opportunity for the sake of others, I am connected to the Creator. Is this correct?

Answer: Yes. But this is not the second restriction. It is just using whatever resources you have.

If you do not have a Masach and you can only close yourself from receiving, then this is called the first restriction. If in addition to this you have the opportunity to fulfill yourself for the sake of others, for example, to receive something for the $100,000 in order to pass it on to others but nothing for yourself, then this is already using forces over the first restriction.

And if you cannot realize the second option, then maybe you have the opportunity to make yourself just like others without receiving. But these are purely spiritual concepts, and then you will become like others, not receiving.

Question: So can you give some examples of the second restriction in our world?

Answer: Yes. When you receive something from someone and pass it on to someone else; for example, if you received a million from someone and you have the strength not to take it for yourself but to pass it on, just as Bina receives from Keter and passes it down.

Comment: A person looks for his individuality and tries to express it through objects of this world and through his body. For example, many religions are against organ transplantation. They say that if a person’s organs are replaced, he will lose his individuality.

My Response: This, of course, is nonsense. If we believe that the person in us is our animal body, then we do so. If, for example, I needed a part of some organ and I can take it from an animal or from some other object, so what? Will I get its qualities? These are the same barbaric ideas as “You must drink the blood of the enemy and you will become stronger.”

Question: So Kabbalists do not see anything out of the ordinary in organ transplantation?

Answer: Our body is an absolute animal. What difference does it make what to do with it: Will they cut off a meter of my intestines if necessary or sew someone’s leg to me? If I walk with it normally, then why not?

A person should think about the soul, and the physical body just needs to be maintained, cared for like an animal, so that it gives you the opportunity to develop at the human level.

Comment: Many philosophers and psychologists have written that we need to change ourselves.

My Response: But they wrote it from the point of view of morality. This is not at all the same. The science of Kabbalah speaks about changing the nature of a person, not just about a good attitude toward other people.

We ourselves cannot change our nature. And the philosophers had some kind of correction of the relations between people in mind: “We will beautifully limit ourselves, we will put ourselves in some kind of a framework.” This is so-called educated egoism.

And here the idea is completely different. Here we need a special force that will change us. The force that created our egoism in such a rigid form: to enjoy, receive, rule, fill ourselves, and absorb is this force that should make us the inverse, simply turn us over. Nothing else is needed.

Question: Why did nature not create us like this in the first place? Why was it necessary to invert us?

Answer: So that we become convinced that the egoistic basis of life is flawed, harmful, and evil and so we want to move from it to its imprint, to the next, reverse form.

This is what our desire will do. We have no one to ask, there is nothing around us. It is just that in nature there is such a trigger, a switch, that will do this work on us. If we truly recognize our evil and would like to move to the next level of existence, this will happen.

This law exists in nature. This is what Kabbalah and Kabbalists speak about. Kabbalah is the science that revealed this law. It is the basis of its entire method: how to make nature transform us from small egoistic beings into altruistic ones (just truly altruistic, not pseudo-altruistic like in our world). Then we will really begin to feel a completely different nature, a different us, and a different world.
