How to Understand the Higher Program?

281.02Question: Why is it that the more we disseminate to the world, the more we are rejected?

Answer: In this case, you need help because you have to go above what you feel in your egoism. Only then does a state arise in you where you are forced to acquire a second nature opposite to the present one.

This is incomprehensible to an ordinary person because he has no idea how to act or how to move. To do this, he needs the upper light, another energy, not the energy that spins the corporeal world, but the energy of light. This is the exit to the next space.

Now I am slowly starting to talk about it. At least just to prepare people for what will happen, and then which way they will come to this. They will come. They will still come!

Can you imagine how much a person will have to go through, live through, and re-feel in order to understand at least the program in front of him that he is obliged to implement? These are big problems.

But in unity, they are solved very simply, and if there is no unity, then, of course, they cannot be solved in any way.

A Monument to Shame

962.2Question: Well-known psychologist Mikhail Labkovsky shares that shame is a discreet emotion, an emotion that a person tries to hide, and therefore it is toxic and harmful. He  gives the analogy of shame as a potted plant that given the constant feeding and fertilizing and resources a person gives it (the shame), it grows into a huge tree. He advises that you need to work with shame or it will consume your entire personality.

How can a person work with it?

Answer: Only the relationship between a person as a flower with other flowers, with other people, in mutual restriction, in mutual assistance, etc. will help everyone organically develop and collect a good flower bed.

Question: Where is the place for shame here?

Answer: It is inside between them. There is shame, pride, joy, sadness, and everything else.

Question: Should I relate to it somehow? What should I do with shame?

Answer: Manage it! If there were no shame, who would we be? We would be animals.

Shame is what distinguishes man from an animal. This is the difference between these two degrees. If I am not ashamed, then I am like an animal. It does not matter why and how.

Shame is from the fact that I am not like him, not so smart, etc. Shame is what keeps me from losing at least the degree I am at.

Question: Do I need to nourish it?

Answer: It is absolutely necessary. It is imperative to make sure that shame corresponds to the degree I want to rise to each time or it will not hold me.

Question: So, it turns out that it is shame that pushes me to this degree?

Answer: Yes, it is a restraining force and a pushing force. It restrains from falling and pushes to rise.

Question: Why do psychologists usually say don’t nourish it, crush it?

Answer: I don’t know. For them, there are qualities in nature that they consider negative. And for me, there are no negative qualities; they are all positive, and everything must be used correctly.

Question: So the correct sentence here would be, “We need to properly use this shame that exists”?

Answer: Of course!

Question: And to know that it is a positive quality?

Answer: Yes. I asked about it and talked about it a lot with my teacher Rabash. And he said that shame is a special creation of the Creator. A special invention of the Creator to make people ashamed. This is like an indicator for them that they are moving away from their path.

You imagine you have a compass guiding you to a goal that you cannot see, which is far away, and you are in the dark, in bad weather. How do you advance? Shame keeps you in place, you can always direct yourself to the Creator, and shame will help you in this. Neither to the right nor to the left, it will hold you.

Look at how a person even in our ordinary world can be so egoistic, pragmatic, rude, and so on. They are still trying to keep themselves relative to each other in some decent condition. It is a shame! Moreover, it is at every degree, at every moment. That is what keeps us going.

Can you imagine how different we are from animals! They have this state disabled altogether. They only act according to what makes them feel better at every moment. And we have another system enabled: how I behave and how I show myself to the outside.

And that is what sets us apart. This is what we call a human in us. Shame is what molds a person from an animal.

Comment: Nice, you have created such a monument to shame.

My Response: Therefore, we must use this in schools and in education to tell, explain, show, and psychologically develop a sense of shame in humanity.

There is none of this. On the contrary, the more shameless I am, I can brag about it, flaunt it, and it will be considered that I am special.

This is the difference between an intelligent upbringing, the correct approach to life, to the world, to people, and such a purely open, egoistic one.

State of the First Restriction

232.08All the worlds are in the place of that space that has been restricted (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, Part 1, “Restriction and Line,” Chapter 2).

The fact is that the light that comes from the Creator to the creation, that is, to the desire to enjoy, to receive, and to be filled, which was created by the Creator, saturates this desire.

The creation, filled with light and the feeling that shows how opposite it is to the Creator, restricts its desire to receive. This is why the separation between the Creator and the creation takes place.

Kabbalists write that the light that emanates from the Creator, i.e., the upper force, created a desire that was filled with light, then felt in itself how opposite it is to the quality of light and restricted itself to a point. This is the state of the first restriction.

Comment: This, in principle, is similar to the way our universe developed. Scientists say that it was compressed into one point and then an explosion happened.

My Response: Yes. We are yet to see what degrees of development exist here.

Irrepressible Desire

79.01As long as I can remember, I have always had a tendency to think globally and understand the whole picture of the world and how much everything in it is interconnected. It was very hard for me without it.

I did not like something separate, for example, to retire to the garage and be a good mechanic, to breed bees, or to grow potatoes in the garden.

Of course, I can exist like this physically, but I need to know everything internally. I feel bad without it. This is my inner flaw. I have to embrace the whole universe within myself. Not the depth of everything: physiology, biology, mathematics, physics, or anything else, not even the system of the upper world, but its interaction.

I wanted to consume, absorb, the feeling and understanding of how it all moves so that I would be aware of it all, understand it, and feel it so that it all lived in me. This has always been such a passion, I would say bodily necessity.

Because of this, I could not find myself and I felt depressed. In a corporeal sense, my life was relatively simple and easy. Of course, sometimes it was hard, but literally for a few years. I have a wonderful family and a devoted wife who raised our children because I did not really do much with them. All the time I was just consumed by the desire to feel everything.

Unconscious Reception of the Light

548.02[It is explained that after the restriction] the light of Ein Sof extended a line to the worlds that were emanated and created in the place of the space that was restricted… Then, one straight line extended from the light of Ein Sof, from His circular light from above downward, and hung down into that space (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, Part 1, “Restriction and line,” Chapter 2).

After the restriction, a ray of light was extended from the light of Ein Sof (Infinity) that was surrounding and filling creation before the restriction, from the previous state of creation to the next one. This ray contains absolutely all the qualities, parameters, and influences that light has in order to completely fill and correct desire. In this way, light comes from the Creator to creation and begins to fill it.

Question: Does this filling happen at the will of creation or does it happen unconsciously?

Answer: No, this does not happen according to the will of creation because there is not such a phase of desire that existed before the light. The light, gradually enters the desire, begins to change it, and changes it until the desire passes through four phases of its development.

Then it feels the receiving of light as absolute, as filling it, and begins to feel the light inside itself as causing something opposite to its quality, which forces the desire to restrict itself.

After the restriction, creation began to receive light in the form of a line stretching from infinity. Before that, it was receiving light in the form of a circle, in a completely unlimited form.

The difference between these two types of connection with the upper force is that receiving in the form of a circle is unlimited and independent of the qualities of creation. Receiving in the form of a line, however, is limited by the qualities of the line and represents a conformity between the desires of creation and the line that comes from the Creator in the form of a pipe. The light goes through the pipe and fills creation.

That is, both states are unconscious and are determined by the difference in the initial qualities between the Creator and creation.

The Law of the Universe

548.02Because the light of Ein Sof was even, the restriction too was even. This is the meaning of the circle (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, Part 1, “Restriction and line,” Chapter 1).

A circle is an ideal even shape. Therefore, when the light created and filled the creation and the creation felt itself opposite to the light, its restriction was also in the form of a circle.

Since the light of Ein Sof was completely even, it had to have restricted itself evenly on all sides, and not restrict itself on one side more than on the others.

The restriction happened in all phases and absolutely in all directions since this was determined by the nature of the light that filled the creation.

That is, restriction is the law of the universe that says if a person wants to receive light for his own sake, he does not have the opportunity to do so.

Perfection of Space

275The space that remained after the restriction was circular (Baal HaSulam, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, Chapter 1, Part 1).

After the restriction, the space remains circular, meaning not in the form of a triangle or some other asymmetric object, but exactly an object where one does not have any special qualities against the other, and therefore, it has the shape of a circle. This suggests that the entire process took place in the equality and perfection of all its constituent forces.

The fact is that the restriction occurred absolutely in all parameters. There was not a single special or greater or lesser parameter in relation to the others. All the desires, all the qualities, were absolutely equivalent. Therefore, the restriction had the shape of a circle.

Restriction in a Circular Form

232.07Baal HaSulam gave several commentaries on the Ari’s book The Tree of Life. One is called “Ohr Pnimi” – “Inner Light” and the second is “Inner Observation.” One is more specific and the other is more expanded.

In the section “Inner Light,” he explains that the primary reason for the restriction was only the desire for a new form of receiving in order to bestow that is destined to be revealed in the future thanks to the creation of the worlds, and not at all the feeling of any Aviut in the middle point.

The space that the Ari writes about is the space of desire, which felt itself opposite to the Creator and therefore restricted itself. Desire restricted itself to the perception of receiving fulfillment from the Creator, to being in some imperfect form relative to Him. Therefore, both the light of the Creator that filled it and the restriction itself was in the form of a circle.

Can Man Merge with a Machine?

951Question: During the Second World War, pilots said that the aircraft was so responsive that while operating it, it felt like an extension of the pilot’s body.

A communication system is already being created today, artificial intelligence, by which aircraft will be able to secure the pilot, hear him, even replace him, and read from his brain everything the pilot thinks. You can say a lot of technical terms here, but what I am interested in is, without this technology, is it possible to establish communication with the machine? Is it possible to establish connection with the inanimate?

Answer: When a person works with a machine, feels it, and it enters his sensory organs and gives such a reflection of itself in his brain, in his feelings that he begins to be with it on an instinctive level, on such an instinctive connection it is as if it were he himself.

And then, without even realizing his actions, he controls the machine and the machine controls him. There is a mutual connection. But these are special cases.

Comment: I remember you told me that a carpenter, if he is a real professional, feels wood and even hears it.

My Response: Of course. It is natural.

Question: So this state of unity is possible?

Answer: Yes.

Question: You usually say: “To become one heart with another person.” But is it possible to become one heart with a car, with your business?

Answer: Maybe, because it is not with the machine, but with the image of the machine itself.

It is when you absorb the machine into yourself and start working with its image inside you; then you can really fully control it, and it responds to you.

Question: And you do not need any artificial intelligence? Is it your effort that is needed?

Answer: Yes, it is simply a merger. But it depends on which machine, of course.

It is easier with an animal. It is even easier with people. With plants somewhat too, partially. By the way, I even observed that when a person works on a plant, talks to it, the plant feels it.

Question: You are saying that natural materials are closer to working with. And if it is some kind of manufactured, processed piece of iron?

Answer: It is hard.

The Deep Sleep of a Kabbalist

549.02It happens that people fall asleep in the lesson because they are not ready for the load. If they have not studied or do not keep in line with the subject, if it is too early for them to hear such things, then they sleep. It is hard for them.

Kabbalistic information does not add up in their head because there must be forms in our brain prepared in advance, which we associate with each other. After all, behind every word there is some concept, and our brain links them together.

What if we do not have them? Moreover, in addition to mental concepts there must also be sensory ones since we think with feelings and not with the mind. Pure mind is an absolutely abstract concept.

When people encounter this they become overwhelmed with fatigue. It is impossible to put together understanding, knowledge, sensation, the flow of thoughts, the process, and the formula that is given in a sentence from beginning to end (subject, predicate, adverbial phrase), and all of that together. It does not fit within them and they do not understand what they are dealing with.

The body creates a block, a kind of protection, and a person falls asleep. This is good. This is the blocking system, the protective system.

Question: Does a person in this state absorb information better or miss it?

Answer: There are people who can neutralize themselves so that everything flows through them. But this is completely irrelevant to Kabbalah. They can sit and meditate, but still they have nothing left.

If they do not have an internal preparation for Kabbalistic technology, if they have not prepared their tools, then they will not have anything from this. Let them squat or meditate, that is their business.

As a rule, two categories of people study with us: those who are ready for this and therefore they absorb the material, each at their own level; or those who are not ready, who turn off, and fall asleep. It is hard for them.
