Question: What is the difference in conveying Kabbalistic information in Hebrew and in Russian?

Answer: Kabbalistic information can only be conveyed properly in Hebrew because words and definitions in this language originate from spiritual states.

The fact is that Hebrew emerged from the attainment of the upper world. This language, as such, did not exist before, just as the people of Israel did not exist before the group of Abraham started to reveal the upper world, because it was due to its revelation that everything started to develop below. All this appeared from the contact with the upper world. From there came numerous religions, philosophies,
sciences, and so on.

Hebrew is the language that emerged in Adam during the revelation of the upper world. He began to write, explain, and teach his students in it. Twenty generations from Adam to Abraham studied according to his book Angel Raziel (Raziel HaMalach) and other sources. Mainly, all information was conveyed not in writing but orally.

Then gradually, according to the attainment of the upper world, it entered written sources. In such a way, the horizontal and vertical lines of the letters express combinations of the qualities of bestowal and reception, and the dots form vectors of the connection of these two forces. Therefore, each letter in Hebrew signifies a combination of both forces in the spiritual object it expresses.

Question: What is the best way to study Kabbalah: in your native language or in Hebrew?

Answer: It is desirable to perceive Kabbalah in your native language, but at the same time, you need to know a couple of dozen, maybe a hundred or two hundred words in Hebrew. It is impossible otherwise.

If you say “face” instead of “Partzuf,” and “head,” “legs,” and so on instead of “Rosh” and “Raglaim,” then you will be confused. And so you, on the contrary, take these words as artificial to define the soul.

They are, in principle, taken from there. It does not matter that in our world we use them to refer to body parts. But in this case, it is simple.

Therefore, I think it makes no sense to translate these words. No one translates special terms in any language, in any specialty. For example, Latin is used in medicine, Italian is used in music, and all kinds of expressions in German and English are used in international technical languages.

Hebrew is the language of the spiritual realms. It is the code of the connections of spiritual forces, the forces of our soul, in all possible combinations.

If we take the Bible from the first word “in the beginning” (“God created in the beginning”) until the last word “Israel,” then the whole combination of these letters represents the path that the human soul must go through, the soul of each one in its spiritual development.

Each person must go from his first to last point, which is called “Israel,” i.e., the point of our connection with the Creator.

Question: Isn’t it scary that people use Hebrew now?

Answer: No, of course not. What do they understand? It doesn’t matter. But in principle, all the same, to the extent of spiritual attainment, all people will use Hebrew.

It is impossible to describe the spiritual world with other icons, in a different sequence, and in a different combination. This is the code. Therefore it has not changed for thousands of years. You can do what you want with other languages, but Hebrew does not change.

You can take a book that was written two, three, or four thousand years ago and read it calmly if you know this language. There won’t be any problems for you; you won’t find a single word unknown to you there.

Question: Is the Kabbalistic text a spiritual matrix that penetrates through the mind into the subconscious?

Answer: No, it does not work automatically when you look at the letters like a donkey and suddenly something starts to appear in you just because you look at them.

It is necessary to have a great desire to recognize the upper world through these letters so that it arises in you, affects you, changes your nature, and you become better, kinder, closer to others, and connected with others. All this should be included together in your desire.

When you open a Kabbalistic book with such an intention, you are in contact with it  even though you absolutely do not understand what it says. But it tells exactly how to act together, connect in love, and  complement each other in one single desire for bestowal in which we are like the upper force of nature called the Creator.

If you organize your studies in this way, “you, the book, and a common desire with ones similar to you,” you thereby awaken the upper force that is written about in the book and it really becomes a matrix for you.

The text brings you this force because you read about it, not the book itself, not the pages themselves, but what you aim for through them. From there you receive the upper force that changes and improves you.

Question: Let’s say a person starts studying and immerses himself in the material, but suddenly the thought comes to him: “I forgot to turn off the gas.” Does he need to break away from it and re-enter the material?

Answer: Yes, the Creator constantly gives him these things.

Question: But when you are given this thought, where do you get the strength to overcome it?

Answer: You do not need to do anything. You can be thrown out of the topic of the lesson for half an hour and only then is it made clear to you that you are in different thoughts. From then on, you have to work.

Question: The stories included in the Introduction to The Book of Zohar are encoded parables. To penetrate them and understand what they are talking about, one needs the help of a Kabbalist.

One of the articles in The Book of Zohar is called “The Letters of Rav Hamnuna Saba.” Who is Rav Hamnuna?

Answer: Rav Hamnuna Saba is one of the greatest sages of antiquity who lived over 2,000 years ago. He taught his students the information that The Book of Zohar speaks about.

Question: At the beginning of the article it is written: “When the Creator wished to make the world, all the letters were still hidden, and two thousand years prior to the creation of the world the Creator was observing and playing with the letters.”

What are letters? What does it mean that the letters were hidden and the Creator was playing with them? What is it about?

Answer: The fact is that there was no time then. It is said: “Two thousand years prior to the creation of the world.” What times are we talking about here, what is the time-counting? All this is very conditional.

We must understand that we are talking only about spiritual processes and not about some years or rotation of planets, stars, luminaries, to our world, and so on.

As Baal HaSulam writes, the information given in Kabbalistic books is beyond time and space.

Comment: When I lose track of the lesson in the middle of it, at some point the realization comes: “Oh, I am somewhere else!”

My Response: You are given such a feeling, but it is not conscious. Does anything happen for no reason?! First you get a snap and forget about the lesson, fly out of it, and fall.

Then ten minutes later you get another bump on the nose and you ask, “Oh! Where am I?” You begin to understand where. From this moment on, you must quickly get yourself together and re-enter the lesson. In a couple of minutes you will get another snap and be thrown out again.

Question: But where is my inclusion if everything comes from above?

Answer: There is nothing of yours here! This is done only so you eventually understand that you need to do something; otherwise, you will keep being thrown out.

The Creator throws you out through the influence of light. How can you make sure He doesn’t throw you out? Where can you find another light opposite the Creator, who is always messing with you?

To do this, you need a group through which you attract such a light to yourself that the Creator does not throw you out; you fight Him. You are always fighting the Creator. Who else? Is there anyone else?

Question: How can I fight if He controls me?

Answer: Take such force from Him that lets you fight Him. The Creator purposely presents you with various situations, like we do when we play with a child. We create all sorts of apparent obstacles for him to learn from and grow smarter.

Question: What does it mean to skip a lesson? is it not to hear the morning lesson at all or just miss it?

Answer: It is preferable to attend the daily Kabbalah lesson. But there are people who live in different time zones, and therefore, I cannot say anything here. Maybe they do not have the opportunity to listen to the morning lesson in real-time.

When it is three o’clock in the morning for us, it is already a working day in Krasnoyarsk, lunchtime in the Far East, evening in America, and so on. There is nothing you can do, you have to take into account the fact that the earth is round.

Comment: What if a person misses a lesson from three to six in the morning,
but listens to it in the afternoon?

My Response: That is not a problem. If he listens systematically during the day, then everything is fine.

We have groups that gather in the evening after work and watch the recorded lesson. And there are those who watch the recorded lessons in the morning because when it is morning for them, it is daytime or evening for us.

After all, it is not so important to be with us at the same time. If you are together with the group, this is important. In addition, you can get materials from the archive. If you take them seriously, you will get the same spiritual state that we had during the lesson. It does not disappear, it depends on you.

Question: Is The Book of Zohar closer to us in understanding because it was written at the verge of the exile from spiritual attainment?

Answer: Any texts of The Book of Zohar are closer to us than other holy books. The holy books mean books written by the Kabbalists from the attainment of the upper spheres but in different keys, in different forms.

The Zohar is written in a style that has the brightest and strongest effect on us because everything is contained in its words, in their form, combination, and intention.

They operate in the same key, in the same stream, they are on the same line with the system of our internal structure, with our world, with the forces of the upper world. That is, the letters are a graphic representation of the combination of upper forces at all their levels up to the highest, that is, up to the level of GAR de Bina of the world of Atzilut.

But there is no miracle in this! There is only one way for the upper energy to influence us, which will transform us. Other sources cannot influence us so much because they are not written with such symbols. They do not depict the same qualities.

If you copy The Book of Zohar in another language, this will still distort it for you. It must be written either in Aramaic or in Hebrew, in Biblical Hebrew. Both languages complement each other. These are related languages that go back to Adam.

Adam is a man who lived in our world 5,782 years ago. He was the first to reveal this upper sphere, these letters, and began to describe the upper worlds with them.

From there, all knowledge came to us through 20 generations who have attained the upper worlds, from Adam to Abraham, and then from Abraham to us. This is all described in the Torah (in the Bible).

So, it all goes back to Adam, the spiritual source of all created beings, that is, not to our corporeal forefather, who allegedly gave birth to humanity together with Eve, but to our spiritual father Adam.
