Fighting with the Creator

235Comment: When I lose track of the lesson in the middle of it, at some point the realization comes: “Oh, I am somewhere else!”

My Response: You are given such a feeling, but it is not conscious. Does anything happen for no reason?! First you get a snap and forget about the lesson, fly out of it, and fall.

Then ten minutes later you get another bump on the nose and you ask, “Oh! Where am I?” You begin to understand where. From this moment on, you must quickly get yourself together and re-enter the lesson. In a couple of minutes you will get another snap and be thrown out again.

Question: But where is my inclusion if everything comes from above?

Answer: There is nothing of yours here! This is done only so you eventually understand that you need to do something; otherwise, you will keep being thrown out.

The Creator throws you out through the influence of light. How can you make sure He doesn’t throw you out? Where can you find another light opposite the Creator, who is always messing with you?

To do this, you need a group through which you attract such a light to yourself that the Creator does not throw you out; you fight Him. You are always fighting the Creator. Who else? Is there anyone else?

Question: How can I fight if He controls me?

Answer: Take such force from Him that lets you fight Him. The Creator purposely presents you with various situations, like we do when we play with a child. We create all sorts of apparent obstacles for him to learn from and grow smarter.

Attitude to the Morning Lessons

963.5Question: What does it mean to skip a lesson? is it not to hear the morning lesson at all or just miss it?

Answer: It is preferable to attend the daily Kabbalah lesson. But there are people who live in different time zones, and therefore, I cannot say anything here. Maybe they do not have the opportunity to listen to the morning lesson in real-time.

When it is three o’clock in the morning for us, it is already a working day in Krasnoyarsk, lunchtime in the Far East, evening in America, and so on. There is nothing you can do, you have to take into account the fact that the earth is round.

Comment: What if a person misses a lesson from three to six in the morning,
but listens to it in the afternoon?

My Response: That is not a problem. If he listens systematically during the day, then everything is fine.

We have groups that gather in the evening after work and watch the recorded lesson. And there are those who watch the recorded lessons in the morning because when it is morning for them, it is daytime or evening for us.

After all, it is not so important to be with us at the same time. If you are together with the group, this is important. In addition, you can get materials from the archive. If you take them seriously, you will get the same spiritual state that we had during the lesson. It does not disappear, it depends on you.

The Secret of The Zohar

132Question: Is The Book of Zohar closer to us in understanding because it was written at the verge of the exile from spiritual attainment?

Answer: Any texts of The Book of Zohar are closer to us than other holy books. The holy books mean books written by the Kabbalists from the attainment of the upper spheres but in different keys, in different forms.

The Zohar is written in a style that has the brightest and strongest effect on us because everything is contained in its words, in their form, combination, and intention.

They operate in the same key, in the same stream, they are on the same line with the system of our internal structure, with our world, with the forces of the upper world. That is, the letters are a graphic representation of the combination of upper forces at all their levels up to the highest, that is, up to the level of GAR de Bina of the world of Atzilut.

But there is no miracle in this! There is only one way for the upper energy to influence us, which will transform us. Other sources cannot influence us so much because they are not written with such symbols. They do not depict the same qualities.

If you copy The Book of Zohar in another language, this will still distort it for you. It must be written either in Aramaic or in Hebrew, in Biblical Hebrew. Both languages complement each other. These are related languages that go back to Adam.

Adam is a man who lived in our world 5,782 years ago. He was the first to reveal this upper sphere, these letters, and began to describe the upper worlds with them.

From there, all knowledge came to us through 20 generations who have attained the upper worlds, from Adam to Abraham, and then from Abraham to us. This is all described in the Torah (in the Bible).

So, it all goes back to Adam, the spiritual source of all created beings, that is, not to our corporeal forefather, who allegedly gave birth to humanity together with Eve, but to our spiritual father Adam.

The Correct Contact of Teacher and Student

165Comment: You said that it is easy, in principle, to perceive the teacher’s words correctly if you include yourself in his desires, in the desires of the upper one.

My Response: If I do this in order to achieve something spiritual, then it develops me.

And if I do this because of coercion (fear of punishment) or because I need some kind of reward, like a soldier in the army who either wants to be a general or is forced to serve, then what do I get from this?

It is very important before whom I annul myself, for the sake of what I do it, what goal my teacher or the upper one pursues, and what goal I pursue.

This contact is reasonable, pre-established, voluntary, constantly renewed, and is maintained under the analysis of both. Such a contact is necessary, but it is not at all easy to create. To do this the student and the teacher must understand each other.

They should be like two individuals who are aware of each other’s states.

There is a clear agreement between them; we enter into such contact when the teacher wants to pass on to the student what he has and the student agrees to accept it and asks the teacher to give it to him.

They agree to certain types of relationships when they have to be unpleasant to each other, put pressure on each other, and somehow overcome the mutual remoteness. The student will begin to feel antipathy, even disgust toward the teacher, and the teacher must understand this and help the student adapt to a new connection at a new level. That is, they move forward to work on the process of including the student into the teacher, to change the nature of the student, and to mold him into something completely new.

And the student agrees to this. He goes to this operation for his own transformation on his own accord.

He passes himself into the hands of the teacher who then begins to sculpt from him something completely new. In this way the student goes through all the stages of transformation where he completely changes his past nature along the way. This requires very serious mutual work.

If it is done in a group and the students support each other, it is much easier. And if they do not think about it and do not support each other, then they do not have the opportunity to do it.

I hope that we will have such an opportunity.

Healthy Egoism

547.05Comment: You said you cannot convey a full picture of the entire system to external people who are not engaged in Kabbalah because it is against the plan of creation.

Answer: They will not understand anything! How can they understand what I am telling them given their current qualities? Or how can they even somewhat agree with it, even purely theoretically? And then what? It would destroy their egoism, destroy everything they know, everything they do.

In their eyes Einstein will suddenly turn into a little boy, as would other scientists across multiple disciplines look completely superficial and shallow. And what is next?

Why humiliate people? I respect them for their serious contribution, for their commitment. They realize their healthy egoism and strive to know and attain as much as possible. This still develops various paths to the Creator. Science is increasingly approaching a premonition of the upper force.

Therefore, I do not want to interfere in any way. Because if they learn about Kabbalah, they will not be able to do anything! They will instantly forget it! The system of egoistic self-defense will instantly kick in, and that is it: “I’m back to my scientific niche, I do not want to know anything!”

What Exists in the Space We Cannot Perceive?

712.03Question: What exists in the space that seems empty to us in our egoistic perception, but in another perception is densely filled with everything?

Answer: It is types of desires: inanimate, vegetative, animate, and human desires that we do not perceive from the next degrees, from the degree of the world of Assiya, Yetzira, Beria, Atzilut, Adam Kadmon, and so on to the level of infinity.

And there, just as in our world, we see the inanimate, vegetative, and animate degrees and the degree of “human,” we observe these kinds of forces, but only forces in the world of Assiya, Yetzira, Beria, Atzilut, and Adam Kadmon.

And most importantly is that in each of these worlds you discover the force that binds them and guides them. It is called the Creator, the one that creates in this world. You merge with it, connect with it, adapt, and you become it.

As a result, it turns out that a person ascends to the highest degree of the entire universe and includes everything in himself. But this is an all-encompassing image of a person, when all our bodies disappear at the level of our world, and all our desires, powers, knowledge, and newly acquired qualities merge into one image “Adam.”

That is what we are going toward. What is happening in the world marks the beginning of this path, the beginning of the spiritual elevation of humanity. Spiritual means beyond matter. This is the path to information, to a new change within us, in our “I.”

Without Miracles

630.2Consistent study of Kabbalah develops qualities within a person that can be used to research spiritual space, to be born in this space and to live in it.

These qualities develop gradually. This is the purpose of Kabbalah—to transform our egoism into altruism and to the degree of this transformation to begin seeing the upper world in this attitude to the world. And you see it and sense it; it is here.

Just like in science fiction movies about space: people look out the window, they see dark space, and suddenly some alien spaceship appears before them. They did not see it before. Why do they suddenly see it now? Apparently, they turned on a different property, a different locator, a different frequency, or different sensor.

It is the same here. This is pure physics and math, there are no miracles here.

We are gradually preparing a possibility for the revelation of the governing system, i.e., the upper world, the upper nature, or the Creator for all of humanity. This is our mission. Humanity does not know about it and it does not need to; it will know later.

Moreover, it will not know about us at all since this does not exist in the system, this is all nameless. But still, it is a tremendous pleasure to feel that you are paving the way. You understand in advance what joy and good will come out of this.

How Should We Introduce a Person to the Wisdom of Kabbalah?

281.02Question: How should we introduce a new person to the study of Kabbalah together with the whole group?

Answer: Gradually. After all, we are talking about wisdom that is above our nature. It talks about everything in a completely different way in different terms, qualities, and forces. You need to get used to it gradually. We are trying to adapt the Kabbalistic methodology to our world, but it is not easy.

It is impossible to bring the upper world down to ours. There is a clear hierarchy of degrees and division by qualities, that is, by understanding. I cannot feel the upper world because now I am in different qualities from it. I do not see it, do not notice it, and do not feel it because I do not have these qualities. Therefore, I do not catch it in my network of sensations and understandings; I am not adapted to it.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is built on bringing a person slowly to this and allowing him to change his qualities gradually. But this happens only in the group. If you need to create qualities of connection with others, then the group is the place where you can do it.

Perception of The Book of Zohar

65Question: Why don’t you give as many explanations while reading The Book of Zohar as when studying TES?

Answer: Because The Book of Zohar is not perceived by us at all. Baal HaSulam made some connection between us and it through his scientific Kabbalistic explanations. And the rest of the original texts of The Zohar are not Kabbalistic but descriptive, semi-cryptic, and therefore, difficult for us.

But on the other hand, it is very easy, because reading it, you feel that this does not apply to you at all, and it therefore seems to be easy to build the right intention. However, it is necessary to somehow get attached to the text, so Baal HaSulam made additions.

The Uniqueness of Kabbalistic Texts

209When reading The Book of Zohar or studying The Study of the Ten Sefirot (Talmud Eser Sefirot, or TES), you feel from both of them that you are dealing with the highest information. They are unique. There is something about them that inspires respect and admiration.

This information does not incline you for servile worship or for fanaticism. On the contrary, it raises you. It does not lower you, it does not crush you, or force you to kneel or tremble.

By raising you up, it makes you a Human with a capital “H”; it reveals the upper world, and does not suppress.

This is the difference between The Book of Zohar and TES and any other religious source. Kabbalistic sources talk about the upper world, but at the same time they raise a person to it.
