Opinion (Dr. A. Dmitriev): “New and rapid reformations of the biosphere and the climate mechanism are happening on the background of physical and geophysical changes on our Earth and major transformational changes in the state of the solar system in general.

• “The polarity of the geomagnetic field is changing. The North Pole is switching with the South Pole and vice versa.
• We are left without protection against the rapid processes of the climate mechanism.
• Natural disasters are happening; this is a reorganization of our climate and biosphere. On the other side of these disasters, a new reality is found.
• The behavior and state of human beings are absolutely connected with the behavior and state of the environment that surrounds us, nature.
• More and more, and in particular beyond the active destruction and rifts, ‘atmospheric rifts’ are observed, the Northern Lights above Alta are signs of a new reality.
• The physical and chemical qualities of the atmosphere are changing.
• Evolution is now found to be accelerating. The acceleration is 20 times faster. A new homeostasis is created. Plants and animals accept the new model of the climate that is being built according to a systematic cosmic solar program. But we are living according to old norms.
• There are no disasters in nature. Rapid processes are happening in the conversion of energy in the biosphere to a new phase. The disaster is with human beings. Humans are found to be lagging behind greatly in the evolution of nature.
• There is no knowledge or understanding on the human side, an understanding that the universe is conscious and the Earth is a living organism.
• The main processes of the solar system are measured and calculated. At their foundation is found the conscious working of the universe, the passage of the solar system, including humans, to the next level of evolution.

“But due to the fact that humans have the gift of freedom of choice, it is impossible to drag them anywhere forcefully, not to the Garden of Eden and not to Hell. They choose their way themselves. People are themselves the creators of both their own happiness and their unhappiness.”

My Comment: Lately scientists are thinking the way that the Kabbalists have thought throughout the generations. Discovery of this picture of nature is leading them to the right conclusions. The problem of science is that nobody listens to it, just as they don’t listen to the wisdom of Kabbalah. Egoism shuts their eyes. Kabbalists experience this much more deeply than scientists because they have the wisdom of Kabbalah in their hands, an effective means for realizing freedom of choice and the mission of man in nature correctly.

It is possible to say that all of the threatening processes are happening only so that humanity will be involved with them and in this way they will elevate themselves to the next level of evolution, to the spiritual level, and will stop feeling this world as a reality, but as data given to us within our transient feelings.

Question: I have noticed a slight tendency in your lessons and your public appearances. I watched the video of the 2002-2004 courses on the site again, where you teach the wisdom of Kabbalah in a scientific manner, using graphs, drawings, and spiritual terminology and explanations.

The virtual course during the years 2002-2004 is very difficult for beginners because you started using very complex terms right from the first lessons. You actually said that is it okay not to understand and that the main thing is that one listens and the Upper Light that descends on us will reveal everything. In the last couple of years, however, in the course “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah” during the years 2012-2013, for example, you place greater emphasis on the relationship between people, and the attitude towards the world, on psychology, connection, and unity. But is it possible to draw the Upper Light and discover the spiritual eternity just by improving our relations with the world and with other people?

Answer: You should read a few articles by Baal HaSulam in order to discover that the main issue of the wisdom of Kabbalah is actually cultivating your love towards all the parts of the creation.

But because those who come to study the wisdom of Kabbalah are egoists, just like all the other people, the study doesn’t begin directly with studying about the attainment of love of all the other created beings, but with Baal HaSulam’s article “Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah.” It is only afterward that the explanation about the concrete fulfillment of the wisdom of Kabbalah in revealing the Creator inside a person begins (according to His figure and image, according to the law of equivalence of form).

Question: Lately, you especially have been raising the topic of love of our neighbors and then love of the Creator. When I hear that I immediately want to completely detach from you even though I have been your permanent student for several years now. It’s not that I am indifferent to this topic; I feel hostile to the subject.

Answer: You thought that Kabbalah was a serious science with drawings and formulas. As I keep explaining it for many years, it is a science of the universe, the wisdom of how to correct the evil. However, you never assumed that this knowledge could also be defined as love, i.e., complete connection among all parts of nature, especially humans.

I completely understand you because I had similar thoughts for many years even when I became Rabash’s student.

Moreover, it is impossible to hear about the “methodology of love” because our egoism rejects it. We are incapable of perceiving this doctrine in our hearts or minds. We tend to listen to different aspects of Kabbalah as if the need to love our neighbors is something alien, secondary to the wisdom.

I observe this phenomenon among my students throughout all the years that I have been teaching Kabbalah.

Interestingly, there are two groups of students: those who accept the principle of “loving thy neighbor” and those who consider this condition as something “extra” that can be only used to connect members of their study group. Later, both categories of students mix together and get closer to each other. Gradually, the groups that originally rejected the principle of “loving thy neighbor” realize that it is not a “subsidiary factor” when it comes to correction of our egoism, but it is the most important and desirable quality! It happens in the group that originally rejected the principle of loving thy neighbor to a much greater extent than in the groups that initially agreed with this notion.

Based on my observations, I would split my students into two categories: those who accept the notion of loving thy neighbor and those who are incapable of hearing about it.  Both groups study the methodology together and comprise a common vessel. They complement and replenish each other, thus making it possible to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah as the teaching of love and a transition from love to other people to loving the Creator.

“Modern physics recognizes the fact that the spectator creates reality. As spectators we personally participate in the creation of our own reality.  We are forced to admit that the universe is a material structure. Knowledge directs us to a reality that is not mechanical and the inverse begins to seem like a giant thought, not like a huge machine.

“The mind no longer appears as an “accidental intruder” in matter. We should welcome it as the creator and dominator of the kingdom of matter. We have to accept the unequivocal conclusion: the universe isn’t material but mental and spiritual.”

My Comment: These findings come from researchers of nature. Today they don’t fear moving from the study of matter to the study of forces: of desire, thoughts, and intention.

Matter exists only in our subjective consciousness. Then they will acknowledge that everything that exists (forces) is only perceived by our subjective feelings, and then according to Talmud Eser Sefirot, Vol.1, “Histaklut Pnimit.”

Question: Are omens, amulets, Feng Shui and other methods important in the process of our spiritual growth in any way?

Answer: Spirituality means love and bestowal above and in contrast to our egoism. This property appears in us only as a result of the influence of the Upper Light (Surrounding Light) on us.

We can awaken and summon the Surrounding Light (Ohr Makif) by mutual efforts in the group. This actually sums up the whole Kabbalistic method. Everything else refers to how by increasing the mutual love and bestowal among us, we use our new common attribute to attain the upper world that operates only according to this principle.

Egoistic desires run the world. We try to absorb into ourselves as much as we can, and we see that these desires cannot be fulfilled. All attempts to satisfy them lead us towards death.

No matter how much we fill ourselves with all kinds of: food, sex, family joys, discoveries, knowledge, and so on, we still come to the fact that from them nothing remains. On the contrary, even greater emptiness comes and adds to the disappointment.

We think that the pleasure we will get is equal to the desire for it, but when the pleasure enters the desire, it grows twice as much and we are left doubly empty. This is because Light and desire cancel each other out leaving us with twice as much emptiness.

To this day this was how life has been for all of us. A person enters the world naked, and leaves life doubly naked. We go through a lot of incarnations until we begin to understand that it is not worthwhile for us to pursue anything; it gives nothing.

Gradually humanity is becoming aware of this, and we are beginning to search for the truth. It brings us to a method with whose help it is truly possible to be fulfilled. But this fulfillment doesn’t enter directly into the desire to receive; rather, it is realized through the fulfillment of others. So here love for others is vital, and so we have an infinite possibility for enjoying, while they enjoy themselves, we enjoy fulfilling those we love.

In our world there are examples of how this works on the instinctive animal level of nature, when we fulfill our children and those that we love. And in the spiritual world everything is much more powerful, because there we fulfill each other, not because we love someone from the start, but we give birth to love within us for absolute strangers and even people who repulse us. This love doesn’t just appear that way; rather, it comes with the help of the Upper Light. When a person obligates himself to serve others, he begins to give birth within himself to a feeling of love for them, because they become dear to him, like an adopted child in a family, because of their investment in him, the parents begin to love him even more than their biological children.

The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches us how to bestow to others and be fulfilled with this. But we are not talking about bestowing in order to receive. The main thing is receiving for the purpose of bestowal.

Then I fulfill myself and simultaneously fulfill others. My goal is to fulfill them! But ultimately the fulfillment remains within me. Here appears the “branching out” that is incomprehensible to us today, which a person gradually begins to attain when he is involved with the wisdom of Kabbalah.

The wisdom of Kabbalah allows us to discover what existed before the creation of our world up to the Big Bang to find out when the worlds were created. It allows us to see from the point we are now all the phases of the future development, “to the end of all the generations.”

The wisdom of Kabbalah tells us what modern physics cannot explain. Paleontologists’ excavations provide us with some information about the previous generations and about the evolutionary phases we have been through. But ordinary science cannot tell us anything about what was created before our world and what is beyond its limits, that is, what is not accessible to our corporeal senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

Astrophysics studies the development of the universe starting from the Big Bang and the creation of space where all the galaxies, our solar system, and our planet appeared. We do have some information about this, but before the Big Bang there were not even concepts such as “place” and “time,” and therefore it cannot be perceived by our research. We cannot study what happened before the creation of place and time by ordinary methods.

Kabbalah can help us because it gives us new tools and sense organs and expands our senses and mind. Thus, we can explore a reality that is not perceived by our ordinary sensors.

Question: How can we study something that happened before the Big Bang, before the creation of our universe, if there was nothing then? Isn’t the Big Bang the starting point?

Answer: The Big Bang is the starting point of our corporeal world, which was created by a spark of upper energy that exploded. Astrophysics cannot explain how it happened. How could such great energy be concentrated in one tiny point in which the explosion occurred?

Physics now is nearing the point at which spiritual energy transformed into corporeal energy. From the spiritual world, it was microscopic energy. This spiritual energy went from the world of Ein Sof (Infinity) through five spiritual worlds: Adam Kadmon, Atzilut, Beria, Yetzira, and Assiya.

And on the boundary of the last world, when the world of Assiya weakens to a minimum, as if a tiny drop in the sea, this spiritual spark exploded and turned into corporeal energy from which the entire universe was created.

This is the point of the Big Bang that was the starting point of our world. Everything that preceded it applies only to the spiritual world, that is, the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Whatever we do in our world, we discover that everything is motivated by our internal egoistic forces, and there is no way that we can rise above this.

All development, even though it may seem romantic, moral, and nice, always leads to collapse, to death, to our inventing all kinds of instruments and mechanisms that create situations that inevitably lead to oppression and death.

On one hand, science interests us; we love knowledge. We have a great need to expose the secrets of nature. But on the other hand, we must clearly understand that this aspiration leads us to suffering, which ultimately will bring us to the conclusion that we need ethical education. Then we will begin to discover nature in an absolutely different way as we aspire to find the characteristic of mutual connection in it.

This will be a totally different science, a science that is not like the science of our world that only comes from an egoistic understanding of nature. After all, when we have an altruistic view of the world, we begin to see its mutual relationships and reciprocal support.

We will see absolutely different laws prevail in the world at different levels and will penetrate the deep ties that connect all parts of nature together. We won’t begin by going from separation to some small connection; rather, we will discover a picture of total mutual connection. And this will be the science of our world, called the science of Kabbalah.

On every level: mechanical, physical, zoological, biological, etc., only Kabbalah reveals the single common bond of all of creation and the Creator that exists within this connection. The most real human need is to attain harmony with the entire creation. It will engulf and fulfill us so much that it will become our reward. Nothing can be better than this.

Right now, this is concealed from people, but it will be revealed gradually, and we will see that all forces blend together harmoniously. It is specifically the harmony of mutual acceptance that fulfills the soul.

Question: In his article “The Last Generation,” Baal HaSulam tries to lead a person through the process of thinking about what we are living for, why things are the way they are, and why the whole human system is reaching a dead end.

He says: “I take all that so close to my heart that I cannot restrain myself anymore, and I have reached the decision to discover the way of our predetermined future correction from my perspective and from what I have found in these books. I will go out to people and I will blow the Shofar.”

On the one hand, he appears to us as a dispassionate scientist exploring the nature of things, but on the other hand, he appears as a man full of love for mankind.

Answer: I wouldn’t call a Kabbalist a levelheaded scientist. He does express himself in the dry scientific language of physics that is very similar to the language of programming, but what is concealed under this language? Feelings!

Therefore, although he tells us how the Reshimot (reminiscences) rise in us, how we gradually begin to mutually cooperate with the upper level, and how the force descends from there to the lower level, his heart and his desires are behind all these mechanical actions because he feels all that on himself.

A Kabbalist is not a physicist nor a chemist who looks at a certain instrument he has invented, confirms and records the physical or chemical processes that take place in the still matter, the vegetative (biology) or the animate (zoology). A Kabbalist is not a person who studies what goes on in a living organism like a vet or a doctor, but the intrinsic properties, the internal processes taking place in our desires and our thoughts. He studies the mutual connection, the mutual cooperation, and the mutual influence of the thought on the desire and of the desire on the thought. The heart is the desire and the mind is the thoughts.

What is more, he doesn’t study it in the conventional frameworks of our world where we see certain outcomes and try to influence them. A Kabbalist studies everything on himself! He is his own lab! He is driven by the attainment of the world, “I attain the world through me,” and it isn’t an unproven axiom like scientists in our world use. For a Kabbalist it is a field of discovery, and he immediately begins to understand the world he is observing, he sees it inside himself.

If I read the newspaper or watch a movie on the computer screen, for example, it doesn’t mean that the paper is posted on a newsstand or that the movie is projected in a cinema somewhere. I see it on my own computer and not beyond its boundaries.

Its the same with a Kabbalist. Whatever he feels he feels on himself, so he cannot express his feelings of self-rejection in a dry manner. At the same time he expresses himself in a very dry language. It is because the wisdom of Kabbalah is the only wisdom that compares our feelings with the very rigid and precise laws and responses of nature that invoke the feelings, responses, and the discovery of consciousness in us.

We are part of nature that is made of vectors of different forces that cooperate mutually, including our feelings and our thoughts. But it is impossible to study them on the earthly level because these thoughts and feelings are above us! A Kabbalist, through spiritual methodology, rises to the level where the interaction of these forces and the birth of the desire, feelings, and our thoughts, man’s inner world, take place, and it is from this level that he begins to influence them.

He studies on himself by which mutual cooperation he can invoke his responses, and why certain responses are specifically the way they are—whether they can be identical to the mutual cooperation of others, in what way people differ from one another, and although they are different, what can they aspire for despite the differences. A Kabbalist studies how nature influences us and what it leads us to, why it manages us the way it does, and how we will perceive the influence of nature if we change by ourselves, whether it changes at all or whether it influences us in the same way all the time, and whether we can change and perceive its influence differently.

This means that a Kabbalist enters such a lab where he is his own subject.

Comment: Many scientists have engaged in such studies: doctors, physicist who studied radiation on themselves.

Answer: No. it isn’t the same thing because they studied physical laws of the world of the still, vegetative, and animate nature on themselves, while here we speak about the laws of the upper world. The ultimate goal of such research is very simple: to understand what we exist for. After all, there are many galaxies around us and no one knows what is in them, while I want to discover and to know what I live for, who I was before I came into this world, and who I will be when I leave it; do I have to feel myself as living in a body that is totally connected to it in every possible way or can I somehow detach myself from it? It is going to die soon and I may transcend to another state, etc.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is a wisdom that allows a person to start answering questions about the meaning of his life. Animals don’t ask such questions. Those in whom such thoughts, desires, and yearnings are invoked are called human. Such people already ask human questions and the wisdom of Kabbalah provides the answers to them.

The wisdom of Kabbalah was concealed for two thousand years from the moment of the writing of The Book of Zohar. The people of Israel went into exile after falling from the spiritual height of love of others to unfounded hatred in what is called the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash (Temple).

Thus, the wisdom of Kabbalah was concealed and only traditional Judaism remained, known to everyone until today.

The wisdom of Kabbalah needed to be concealed from then until our time. And in the 20^th century, the giant Kabbalist Rav Yehudah Ashlag came and wrote Kabbalistic books through which we can awaken ourselves to learn, begin to study, to know, to understand, to feel, and to discover the real world we live in. In principle, our world is only a minute sphere within a vast world that we don’t feel. Modern physics explains that there is a reality beyond our world, but it is incapable of finding it.

After all, in order to reveal the spiritual world that manages our lives, we need different instruments that we acquire only through studying the wisdom of Kabbalah.

Rav Yehudah Ashlag wrote books with whose help we can begin to learn and discover what world we are in, what we are living for, and what the purpose of our lives is. He wrote a commentary on The Book of Zohar, thanks to which we can understand this book; he wrote many articles and the six volumes of the Study of the Ten Sefirot, the greatest textbook on the wisdom of Kabbalah that exists as of today.

By studying these source books, we can understand what the meaning of our lives is, what kind of reality we are living in, what kind of a process of development we are in, who manages us, and how we can become free people so that we can attain freedom of choice. The wisdom of Kabbalah makes it possible to rise above death and above this worldly life. All of this is in our hands.

Rabbi Yehudah Ashlag defined the Wisdom of Kabbalah in the article, “The Teaching of the Kabbalah and Its Essence” like this: “What is the wisdom of Kabbalah? As a whole, the wisdom of Kabbalah concerns the revelation of Godliness, arranged on its path in all its aspects—those that have emerged in the worlds and those that are destined to be revealed, and in all the manners that can ever appear in the worlds, to the end of time.”

This means that the wisdom of Kabbalah is a method of discovery. It reveals all of creation and the stages of development from this moment until the end of all generations. We can discover what was in the past and what will happen in the future, moving freely above time in every direction from that point we are in now.
