Man needs a weak body and a strong soul, one that prevails with strength. And then the Creator loves him (Zohar for All, Vol.3, Chapter “VaYeshev”).

The will to receive is called the body, and the spiritual force is called the soul. The stronger the soul is than the body, the more opportunities a person has to advance correctly.

How can we make the soul stronger than the body? When we yearn to connect, our connection becomes stronger and stronger. In this way, we rise higher and higher until we begin to feel the Creator, the true reality, the upper worlds, and the spiritual degrees. It all depends on the level of our connection with each other.

Through the increasingly strong connection, we ascend the degrees of revelation to ever greater and greater levels of sensation.

Can a strong, connected Kabbalistic ten overcome all the problems we encounter in life? Overcoming problems means accepting them as sent by the Creator since there is no other force in the world, and then trying to convert these difficulties from problems into mercy through your connection in the ten, which is growing stronger and stronger.

That is, we need to see that these problems come only to help us connect and advance even more. In this way, the Creator gives us the opportunity to connect and come closer to Him.

The strong ten is connecting so as to become one powerful force capable of canceling all judgments, and even more to turn these judgments into mercy. Due to this, we connect with each other even more and rise up.

If the Creator gives a person a serious illness, the most correct thing is to adhere to the Creator as much as possible together with all the friends, with the entire ten. To pray all the time and ask to adhere to the friends even more tightly until you completely dissolve into them, as if you do not exist at all, as if you are fully dissolved inside the group. Through this, all diseases and all problems go away and disappear.

One of the important qualities in spiritual work is patience; one should grit his teeth, shut his mouth, and go through all states.

This is what you do all of your life if you are dealing with the Creator, if He is standing before you, and His revelation and connection with Him is the only thing important for you since He is really the only reason for everything that is happening.

Where else can we go, and what else should we pay attention to? We need the commandment love your neighbor only in order to train and reach His qualities. Neither my neighbor nor I exist here, but only the way to reach the quality of the Creator.

Question: Is patience especially important during a quarrel?

Answer: A quarrel is the appearance of a contradiction with the Creator, when He puts me in such conditions that I do not accept the picture that He paints for me.

Question: In principle, when there is conflict between friends, is this also one of the elements?

Answer: Of course. They just do not feel it. If they are in a group, then this is a lesson for the whole group. They make a hole in the boat in which the whole group sits.

When they quarrel among themselves, they break the unity of the group, and the whole group suffers from this. Nothing can be done here! In such a relationship, no group will achieve any spiritual ascent or revelation of the Creator.

At first, all of this is forgiven and not noticed. Then it reaches such a state that we are obliged to work on ourselves so that the group is similar to the Creator. The relations in the group will always be terrible, nasty, awful, disgusting, and hateful, as in the example of the group of Rabbi Shimon, the creator of The Book of Zohar. But we must rise above this to love.

In spiritual work, what is this narrow keyhole into which a key must be inserted?

The definition of “narrow” means a lack of Hasadim (mercy). If I have managed to make up for this lack, then I am ready to unlock this lock.

The whole path in front of us is a lock. At every step we need to match a certain key to it, i.e., the quality of bestowal, in order to reveal more and more and thus move toward the goal.

At each stage we reveal ourselves more and more and manifest an increasing quality of bestowal in ourselves, and thus we approach the Creator. And for this we need to find the key that exactly matches the lock.

The lock that hides the quality of bestowal from us is a group, and the key is the relationship in this group, the connection and love between friends. A person should disconnect from himself and stick to ten friends. Ten for me is a spiritual Kli. If I reformat myself correctly to get inside this Kli, I will open the lock with a key and get through to the Creator.

I need to find the key, study it, try to adapt it to the lock, and find out how to insert the key into the keyhole and how to turn it. When I have the strength to turn the key in the lock, I can unlock it.

Just remember that when inserting the key into the lock, you need to keep a very strong connection with your friends. If I connect with my friends and annul myself more and more, then eventually I will be able to insert the key into the keyhole in order to be ready to turn it.

But in order to turn the key in the lock, I need to turn to the Creator and ask Him for the strength to open this lock.
There are three stages of work: adjust yourself to the lock as a suitable key, then enter the lock, and finally unlock the lock.

The center of the group is not in any of the members of the group, but only between all of them. If we all tried to unite with each other in such a way as to feel everyone together as one single whole, this would be the center of the group, the point of complete connection between us.

Question: In order to concentrate in the center of the group during a workshop, do we need to depict this state you have described to ourselves?

Answer: Yes, of course. After all, when we connect, everyone’s personal “I” disappears, and “We” remains instead of “I.”

Question: How does a person relate to the personal opinions of everyone in the group? How important is it to express your opinion?

Answer: What personal opinion can there be? No one has any opinion of their own. My only opinion is that I support the group in its advancement toward the Creator, and by this I support all my friends. My opinion is my contribution to the common yearning to come closer to the Creator. That is it. What else can there be?

There is one single force of bestowal and love in the world, and I need to strive for it. If I am against this, things will get worse. Moreover, the opposition is completely unwise. Neither my freewill nor my special criticality or individuality are manifested by it.

“No, I want to be against the Creator!”

“What do you mean ‘against’? What is the rationality of your action? Why are you against Him?”

“Because I want to be an evil force!”

The evil force is also Him, just like the good force. The adhesion with the Creator is simply an understanding that there is nothing else. Whether you are for Him or against Him, you will still be with Him. Therefore, we do not have any options.

Question: In some groups, there are sort of two camps that do not connect with each other very well. What can we do?

Answer: We should not pit such people against each other. We need to constantly talk about this so that they can advance and correct this condition as they progress in their spiritual work.

Eventually, everyone should reach the quality of absolute love. Without this, the Creator will not be revealed. At the level at which bad inclinations and bad impulses are given to us, we must correct them and we will discover the Creator in them—in everyone, in the entire world. Because in the next moment another world, your other bad qualities will be revealed to you, and you will have to correct them.

There will be another world, much worse than now. Your attitude toward the world and the world toward you will be more terrible, and you will also be correcting that world into the world of love, and you will see in it the revelation of the Creator because “world,” “Olam,” is from the word “concealment.”

This is the concealment of the Creator from man. The reverse side of the world, its wrong side, is the Creator at the level of the world that is currently depicted to you.

Workshops are a spiritual act because they force people not to argue with each other, to complete each other, to be equal, to speak on a certain topic set by the workshop leader, and then think about it for a while.

If during the workshop five to ten questions are raised that people discuss, then this helps them build some kind of system within themselves and identify goals and stages of their development. As a result, they create a spiritual space between themselves based on mutual bestowal and kindness.

By discussing the topics of getting out of egoism and rising above it, they build between themselves that clearing on which they want to feel the manifestation of the Creator.

A workshop is the state where a person builds his spiritual vessel, which is a common spiritual vessel. Moreover, he begins to understand that this is outside of himself, that this is a way out of himself— the implementation of the method.

During the workshop, a person correctly expresses himself, his “speaking” level; that is, a man is called Adam, similar to the Creator. Of course, there are many erect-walking creatures; a rooster is also erect-walking. And a person is called “speaking” because he can express bestowal and love and lead another person to bestowal and love.

Therefore, today there is nothing more effective than workshops in which we all are permeated with one goal, one idea.

Question: Some of your students are at their workplaces during the lesson, for example, in the studio engaged in broadcasting or something else. When asked if they ever come to class, many answer: “I fall asleep there, but here I at least I am working.” How can such students behave in the correct way?

Answer: If during this time a person creates some kind of socially useful product, then let it be.

Question: And if he does not create anything, but simply sits in his familiar place?

Answer: Never mind. He nevertheless somehow participates; he is included with us in the common process. It is really hard to be at the lesson. A person is tired in the evening or wakes up early; it is cold or conversely hot, and this makes him sleepy. I understand all these problems so I am very patient with them; it does not bother me at all.

Question: But on the other hand you say that we should not turn a blind eye to this; we should take care of the friends. After all he could leave the path in this manner.

Answer: You are his friends. You should try. Talk to each other and bring it up for discussion. This is your job, not mine.

Question: But how, can you pull them out by force? On the one hand you say that you need to give a person freedom of choice, but at the same time we should pull him up and not let him fall.

Answer: The main thing is desire. Try to awaken desire in him.

Question: Do you have any examples of how you awakened desires in other people?

Answer: No. I acted in accordance with Rabash’s instructions. I took a few veteran students, trained them as teachers, put new students with them, and they taught them. We studied with Rabash, and those who dozed during his lessons were teaching newcomers and thus did not fall asleep.

Therefore, for a person who falls asleep in his place at the computer I would definitely arrange such classes for him to teach. In this case, he will have to study. Moreover, it will motivate him to work and to connect with the rest.

Comment: You said that only connection between students will lead them to a spiritual breakthrough.

My Response: It seems to me that today there can be no other approach to spirituality; it will not work.

Question: Why can’t it happen again that you work with one student who will remain after you and lead everyone forward as it was with you and Rabash?

Answer: Neither I nor any of my students are inclined to start such personal work.

Question: Was Rabash inclined to this?

Answer: He had no other choice and neither did I. I say this absolutely precisely.

In addition, there were prerequisites that I really, really wanted this, although by nature I was completely different. There are people who know how to “place” themselves under another and at the same time feel comfortable and good.

I am absolutely not one of those people. I am a person who creates, commands, sees ahead—wrongly or not, that is another matter—but who wants to implement and generate something new. This is not a student who adapts to the teacher and like a small fish swims next to a big fish. It happened from above.

I think that today because of the global spiritual ascent that is taking place in humanity, this is simply impossible.

I have ten, maybe fifteen people I can rely on. If they work together with each other, not each one separately but only together, they will become the spiritual center that will be able to lead the world further.

Only their common effort to work together, to manage together, and to teach humanity together will bear even greater fruits than I did.
