Spiritual Action

224Question: If we disseminate to the world what we receive in a lesson, is that a spiritual action?

Answer: In general it is included in our bestowal to the world, but in itself this action is not spiritual. It moves us forward, but in fact it is not spiritual because we do not yet have spiritual Kelim (vessels).

Question: And when we gather as a group and talk about the greatness of the Creator, is this a spiritual action?

Answer: That is up to you. But if you gather together with the goal of coming to a common desire, in order to somehow become like the Creator, then this is already a spiritual action.

Question: In Rabash’s article “Two Discernments in Holiness,” it is said: …I will regard you as though you have sanctified Me. In other words, by this, you have made it revealed to all that I am holy… What does it mean, “as though?”

Answer: We don’t know exactly what it is. But when we try to act like a child who is trying to do something and is helped, then gradually he comes to the point that his actions become meaningful, correct, and for the sake of bestowal.

How Can I Help a Friend Justify the Creator?

528.02Question: How can I help a friend justify the Creator and accept everything?

Answer: Give him your own example or the example of others so that he can see that justifying the Creator is our very first action. After this, we can continue to work with Him and draw closer to Him. But the most important thing is to nullify yourself toward the Creator and approach Him on His terms.

Question: Do I nullify myself precisely toward the Creator or toward the circumstances that He gives?

Answer: Of course, toward the circumstances. We do not comprehend the Creator himself; we comprehend only those circumstances that He offers us.

Strengthen Your Faith

934Question: What helps us to strengthen our faith and not fall into doubts? How can we support each other in this in the ten?

Answer: First of all, we must unite in the ten. Moreover, we must unite in such a way that we do not have any questions as to whether we are connected to each other or not, or whether we help each other or not. All these issues must be resolved.

We are absolutely sure that we are connected to each other and therefore connected to the Creator.

Question: Do I understand correctly that only to the extent of my faith, without any doubt, can the Creator honor me with the quality of bestowal?

Answer: This is first. And second, the first is not even as important as the fact that you want to have a sense of faith. Meaning, you want to fully relate to the Creator the way He relates to you. That is the most important thing. I want to bestow to the Creator everything that is in me, and in this case it does not matter to me how much I receive and what He gives me.

In Prayer for a Friend

507.03Question: Praying for friends is one of the closest states to Lishma (not for my own sake). But if I pray for a friend who is sick, where is the joy here?

Answer: It goes without saying that we pray for a friend because by doing it we want to transfer our strength to him.

Such a prayer does not necessarily have to be in joy, although prayer for a sick person still includes some joy because you rejoice that you want to give part of your health and strength to your sick friend.

Question: How do we check that the whole body agrees to this prayer?

Answer: It is impossible to check by the clock. Gradually, you will have an inner need, such as Kelim (Vessels), in which you will understand what state you are in, whether you are closer or further from the Creator.

Comment: After the fact, I already see that for some time, I was in other thoughts and not in the thoughts about a friend.

My Response: In that case, you should regret that the Creator pulled you out of connection with Him, gave you some pleasures in other thoughts, and thus, you distanced you from the Creator. Now, you begin to understand this and want to be closer to Him.

Before Reading Psalms

216.04Question: What helps us polish the desire to receive so that it is subtle and we feel who we are fighting with?

Answer: Only our relationships in the group help. The more subtle we are in our relationship with each other, the more subtle our relationship with the Creator will be, and we will succeed in this rapprochement.

Question: What intention should you set before reading Psalms? How can we prepare for this?

Answer: Before reading Psalms, we only strive to get closer to each other. We do not need anything more.

With the help of the Psalms, we wish to connect with each other even more. And in the Psalms themselves, there are already such wishes and prayers that will definitely provide us with all the best.

Connection—Above Everything

939.01Question: Should we pray more about peace and direct our thoughts and desires there, or should we pray more for connection?

Answer: Mainly, we direct ourselves to connection because it is above everything. Connection is when each of us wants to annul oneself and unite with the rest of the friends. This is the most important thing for us.

Question: When I hear a friend pronounce the words of prayer, how do I properly integrate in these words, in his feelings?

Answer: Try to join in, get closer to him internally, merge with his intention, and with his feeling so you will feel him closer.

Work Inside the Heart

528.02Question: Does it make sense to ask the Creator in prayer to transfer all the wars and external work inside the heart, inside the tens?

Answer: We must achieve victory over our egoism by any means and connect with the Creator within the connection between us, in the ten, in the group. Practically, this is our job.

Question: How do we achieve this connection without falling into egoism?

Answer: Only by prayer.

Question: External actions push us to a strong prayer, to a cry. Does it make sense to move all this work inside?

Answer: Of course, this is our duty.

Opportunity to Communicate with the Creator

938.07Question: How do we work correctly with the circumstances of the outside world that arise for a friend in the ten? Do we put some kind of barrier or, conversely, include them in ourselves?

Answer: You should come closer to your friends as much as possible, be more united, and from the connection with them, raise a prayer to the Creator so that He will bring you all closer to Him. Then, you will begin to feel the Creator closer and closer, and you will have the opportunity to talk to Him.

Question: How can we imagine that we exist only in the Creator?

Answer: You must imagine that all thoughts and desires will come to you entirely from the Creator.

Answer: Just keep trying. Start working on it again today.

Overcome All Obstacles

506.3Question: How can we accumulate energy to overcome all obstacles? Does this happen when we give an example to each other?

Answer: Yes, I show my friend that I am ready to unite with him in order to come closer to the Creator, to reveal Him in us.

This gives us energy and confidence and allows us to create such a Kli (Vessel) in us, a place where the Creator can be revealed.
