The world is looking for war. There is no other way it can get rid of the redundant mouths to feed or even mouths that are not redundant. This is the reason that the world welcomes wars. The Americans, for example, are proud that ten thousand ISIS members were killed in bombings in Syria in the last six months.

Military conflicts are started intentionally and we will see more and more of that in the future because of the sharp population growth and the need for a solution. This is the reason that humanity will aspire to annihilate as many as possible of those who simply take up space.

Europe is finally beginning to realize what a terrible mistake they made in allowing huge numbers of immigrants to enter its borders. How can this be corrected now? After all, we are not living in the Middle Ages now when people can simply be annihilated like on St. Bartholomew night. This is impossible!

The world is facing very serious problems and people are not looking for peace at all! Everyone realizes that something needs to be done, but it is impossible to solve anything in peaceful ways, and therefore we have no way of coping with the growing Islamic pressure on developed countries. This is the reason that the gradual overtaking of Europe, America, and Russia by Islam will continue. The only difference is that in Russia it will seep in through Tatarstan, Chechnya, and partly even though Turkey, while in Europe it will happen through North Africa and the Arab states. America will also be flooded by immigrants who will increase the mutual hatred through growing pressure. We see what is happening in the US now, what problems there are between the police and the blacks. This conflict is ignited on purpose. Humanity is not looking for peace. It realizes that it cannot exist that way.

Shattered Dreams

At that time they wanted to introduce communism in Russia by force, or to lead through dictatorial methods in South America, Cuba, and Spain.

But a dream is a dream. In fact, it is correct and good because it went against the ego; for one way or another, people were striving for balance, equal rights, etc. So in principle the developed nations understood that they had to at least partially satisfy this aspiration of the population.

Today capitalism is already beginning to sink, deteriorate, and show its end. Capitalism is a necessary stage in the development of egoism, where with all our might each of us strives to get for himself, and as a result we are in deadlock.

It could be that one or two generations lived in prosperity, but with that the American dream ended. And now America and the other egoistically developed nations will deteriorate further and further. Today there isn’t even the same distorted socialism that they once tried to build in the Soviet Union anymore.

Sooner or later, humanity must become a happy society. However, this can be reached either through suffering or through awareness.

The path of awareness is an investigation of our final state, making it possible to plan for it, in other words, finding out how to become like it. Then we will have no need for a “stick” to drive us toward happiness.

How do we do it? The final state of all of nature is to bring itself to absolute harmony and balance, so people need to perceive themselves in the identical place, becoming like nature, an absolutely balanced system.

But so far, we are on the path of suffering; feel it for yourself. What is it that is stopping us?

In nature, there are two opposing forces that tend toward equilibrium. For every positive or negative event, there is its corresponding opposite: plus – minus, north – south, and so forth. The laws of their combination are the formulas that we study in physics (inanimate matter), in botany (plant matter), and in zoology (animal matter).

Yet we do not understand the  human. There is insufficient knowledge and opportunity because when we study the nature of the previous stages of development (still, vegetative, and animate), we investigate it from top down, from the higher level. If we are on the same level as that which we must investigate, then we cannot say anything about it ourselves because we are on the same level. So we introduce errors because of our relationship to the object of investigation—us.

In order to know our nature, we need to rise to a higher level, and this is not possible. We learn a little psychology, but it cannot be called science because science is the study of nature at all levels from top to bottom. So, the human level is inaccessible to us. We do not know about ourselves.

Here we have the support of the wisdom of Kabbalah, which explains how one can rise to the next level and investigate our level from there. Studying Kabbalah before ascending to the next level—called Adam (Man) or “speaking”—we can discover what a person really is and how it to reach that level.

According to Kabbalah, the way by which to realize ourselves on the next level, investigating ourselves from there and beginning to behave in our world, is self-education. This means that we must raise ourselves to a new sensory, spiritual level of relationship and community, which is defined by the simple condition of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

This phrase speaks about the law of existence for all humanity as one single entity. When a person begins to get close to this state, it will be clear that this is the true communism that people once dreamed of.

Breaking the Deadlock: What Is Preferable?

Question: Why, in spite of the failure of the communism in Russia, did many nations support and hold onto it and begin to establish communist parties?

Answer: The idea, in itself, is very attractive because the masses see a bright future in attaining equality, fraternity, and the proper distribution of the benefits of society. But now people have changed since egoism has reached unimaginable heights in the last few centuries.

Why does war happen? War is a cleansing, a release. It transforms all egoists into equals. It kills the egoism in them because it is about survival. After all, in order to survive, it is necessary to be connected with all the others. It is necessary to think about the common trouble, about the common victory, about the shared success. So war inflames intense and egoistic passions in nations and peoples and is a kind of common denominator.

After the Soviet pseudo-communism, a few years later it was implemented in Germany, but in the form of national fascism. In fact, it was one and the same.

Today humanity is approaching war. It is already spoken about it as if it is inevitable: “What will be, will be, but there is no alternative.” Where once people were afraid of pressing the red button, now, it is as if now there is no fear of nuclear war.

Question: Does humanity subconsciously want war?

Answer: Today, humanity understands that our lives have no meaning, no co realization, that human beings are some kind of dead-end branch of nature, that it has made a big mistake because egoism gets him nowhere. This suggests that egoism has reached its end.

We are not yet aware of this, but we already see that the ego has taken its courses, like a developing, cancer. After all, a sick person doesn’t feel anything at first, and only later begins to feel and understand that the malignant tumor is devouring him!

Now, humanity is devouring itself, but it must recognize this and stop. In any case, either in a good way or through the way of suffering, we will need to come to that to reach the construction of a happy society.

Once, wealth and nobility were very much respected. Commoners were happy to cater to the rich to get the leftovers from their table. The very closeness to the “great man” was seen as a huge honor.

However, eventually, servility faded, and people began to ask another question, “Why can we not occupy the same position? Why do they have, and we do not?”

From this it is a short distance to revolution when the poor rob the rich, often killing them or trying to change places with them. Ultimately, this brought about a myriad of troubles and problems.

I do not think that such” initiatives” ever achieved success. Every revolution later devours itself and promotes not those who strive for high ideals but completely different people who come and reap all the fruits for their own interest.

It happened in the days of the French Revolution. It happened in Spain, in Russia, and in many other countries. All of humanity goes through this process.

Question: In its time, the Soviet Union was an attempt to build a communist society, a society of equal opportunity. Why didn’t humanity learn anything from this? Why did it turn into such a tragedy?

Answer: I would not say that what they wanted to build in the Soviet Union was communism. It was a dictatorship. The Russian empire was a feudal society in which the population was predominantly ignorant; the peasants were confined to their land.

However, in his writings, Marx indicated that prior to building communism, we must pass through particular social developments. After all, a communist society, first and foremost, is a society in which everyone has a consciousness in which everyone is connected as one family above their ego, and each one feels himself to be a part of the others. This requires a person to have a full understanding of his nature and the goal toward which we must reach.

The modern person is the antithesis of the future society. He is completely against connection with others. He wants to think and be concerned only about himself. He has himself and his family, and all the rest doesn’t matter to him at all, and suddenly they say to him, “You must understand and perceive that you are a single, whole unit with everyone!” That is, he needs to understand that according to the law of nature we must reach a state where we are one family and even more, because this family is still only a physical connection between people, whereas here it is talking about our inner connection, not on a physical level, but on a level of internal consolidation in which each one feels “we,” but not “I.”

We are like a single, complete whole. In other words, this requires an inner transformation of the person and his worldview, which is impossible to implement in a short period of time, neither by force nor through persuasion. It requires a long process of education. We know that the right education for a child requires a minimum of 25 years from birth until going out to meet life. What kind of education is it possible to talk about in Russia, when communism was apparently inserted by violent methods, through revolution, through a civil struggle between different strata of the population? In the end, everything turned into terror, terrible power, and counter-revolution. There was no socialism or communism there.

Question: However, for the first revolutionaries, there were pure thoughts and high ideals.

Answer: Without a doubt, people were ready to sacrifice themselves. While I was still a student in Leningrad, I rented a room from an old woman, a revolutionary. She told me how she stood and shivered in the bitter cold, distributing cookies to soldiers who were going to the front, and, even though she herself was hungry, she didn’t have even a thought about taking a cookie for herself. People didn’t think about themselves, their ideal was the revolution that later began to devour its lovers, and this is a natural process. Ideals move our egoistic world forward, but after that an absolutely different pragmatic wave comes that begins to crush these ideals beneath it and works according to the usual egoistic laws.

Comment: Humanity has always aspired to happiness and has wanted to build a just society. The famous Kabbalist, Baal HaSulam, in the article “The Last Generation” wrote that in the end we will achieve a society that will be communistic. The New Philosophical Dictionary gives a definition for communism and sees it as a human error. There it says that Marx didn’t foresee that they would try to realize the communist utopia in its most active form not in the most developed capitalist nations, but in the economically failed nations.

Answer: The idea is that the concept of communism is closer to the societies inhabited by a poor, needy, simple, population where everyone is equal in those aspects. Lack of a developed industry forces them to be engaged in agriculture and maintaining themselves. It is possible to call the most ancient societies on Earth, where everything was shared, communistic. The small ego forced people to work together, to think together, and to accept decisions together. But if there are no natural and external preconditions for such mutual relationships, it is impossible to build a commune.

In our day, humanity is beginning to reveal itself as a common general commune: Whether we like it or not, all of us depend upon each other. No person develops by himself; rather, nature develops us. We don’t even know what tomorrow will bring. Forces have been released in us and we act subconsciously, complying with instincts that are derived from within.

The question arises: Does nature want to bring us into a closed state like a bubble, where all of us will be dependent upon each other and we will become a reluctant commune?

Imagine how terrible it would be to find yourself in such a commune with your inflated ego! After all, when we inevitably move to a closed society in which all the people in the world feel themselves as one family, but one in which it is impossible to exist in peace, then we naturally try to tear all of the connections between us apart. Conditions like these are specifically the preconditions for wars, conflicts, and terrorism. Humanity is subconsciously doing everything in its power to refrain from that connection, which its evil inclination is not ready to endure.

So what can be done if we see that nature is moving us towards this anyway? We get divorced, we move away from each other, we consume drugs and antidepressants, only because instinctively we don’t want to be interconnected in the right way.

Every nation has its own faith. Suddenly in the beginning of the 21^st century in Russia there was a surge of Orthodoxy. This was the policy of the government, and not something that was derived from the people. Wherever they turn them, that is where they go.

We see in what critical directions the Arab nations are developing. Everything rests on the fact that each nation retains its circle, preventing the flow from another stream. The same thing also happens with immigrants in various countries. They don’t dissolve into the culture of the nations that receive them; each remains in its sector.

Humanity acts unconsciously against a forced general approach. But there is no choice; we are getting closer to each other anyway because nature has inserted us into a state of complete dependence on each other. This is a law of development that cannot be opposed; it is above us.

“’Government by the people’ is a slogan, and the slogan has been shaped in such a form that nobody will have a complaint against it. Complaints against it are not aroused because the slogan has no concrete content. The slogan exists for the masses, whereas the elite see the people as slaves.

“In the market economy, everything is bought and sold, including democracy itself. So the governmental candidate is put up for public auction, and the buyer is the one who pays the most. Certainly the candidate will receive governance from the hands of the economic elite, behaving according to their desires. This is the democracy of the free market. True control is found only with a few tens of thousands of people, who are connected in a network of economic, political, social and familial interests. They are the ones who have influence in the government, in industry, in commerce, in finance, in the military, in the communications media, in medicine and in education.”

My Comment: The world has reached a crisis in government. Trying everything, we conclude that we cannot invent anything suitable. We have reached a blind alley. This is because our egoism rules in every government. Everyone would like to see altruists in government, but education is needed for this.

The wisdom of Kabbalah is designed for this. We must begin to use it to awaken the force that is resistant to our ego, the positive force, against the negative force. Then we will reach balance and build a new society. But this is possible only to the degree that there is education. Don’t build it now, but re-educate first. That is what we are beginning to do now!

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, instead of conflicts, revolutions, and wars, the time has come to devise another system of good social relationships, which will solve all of these terrible situations in the world. The key means is the correct cohesion of society, making it possible, along with our egoistic negativity, to activate the positive force of unity that is latent in nature.

For this it is necessary to create a comprehensive educational system and by training people to take the format workshops around a roundtable. In these workshops people will begin to change, not through coercion, but on their own. After all, they will see that it is possible to establish a society that is not based on the negativity of egoistic competition in which the strongest wins, but on unity.

Just as in a cohesive family, the strong don’t oppress the weak. On the contrary, love dwells among them, and the small receive more concern and attention than those who are already able to satisfy their needs to some degree by themselves. So we also activate two forces in a family, but there our love is caused by nature itself. On the other hand, what must we do in situations where the relationships between us are based upon selfish egoistic calculations and not on love? How do we transform a competitive individualistic society into a loving family?

Certainly it is not through pressure, but specifically with the help of study and a unique education, in which people will feel real benefit from new relationships and will notice the success inherent in them. Besides this, it is desirable to remember that nature manages our development, and we can never just do what comes to us. When we are subject to the natural impulses of narcissism, we ourselves “leap into a flaming fire.”

No, the development of humanity is subject to strict laws that we have not chosen. We never had freedom of choice about this. From the beginning of the universe until today, the inner “engine” has pushed evolution forward without depending on our wishes. So it is worthwhile for us to learn about the natural processes and understand how to integrate into their current in the right way.

Question: The results of the present reforms look disappointing. But why don’t people lose optimism? They always hope that the next reform will change their lives for the better.

Answer: The problem is that people don’t want to change. The main reason and the key to the solution is concealed in the following dilemma:

• Either change the world,
• Or change yourself, adapt yourself.

So far we have followed only one system of mutual egoistic relationships. It elevated those who were more successful or powerful, those who made more profits, and on the contrary, it lowered the oppressed. But this could not be if we considered at least the small Jewish people living in Israel as a single family. Nature itself presents other requirements to us. And this means that we need to think about change, about how to adapt the egoistic system of the Israeli society to the new reality.

Everything depends on education: it is necessary to teach people and systematically lead them towards unity specifically through social reforms. Everyone already agrees with this because we have “hit a wall,” and nothing other than changes in society will help us.

Question: Does this mean that we require radical innovations?

Answer: Not at all. It is only necessary to add a tendency towards a social orientation to our lives, to give the highest importance to social relationships, which requires systematic work.

Question: How do people come to this understanding? Even the disappointment of failed reforms doesn’t evoke thinking about the need for social changes. The power games go on as if nothing happened.

Answer: People don’t see the system in which they are living. Instead of global solutions, a person prefers a “tangible” increase in his monthly income. But there hasn’t been a real addition and there won’t be. Even if the Americans were to become philanthropic and allocate another ten billion dollars per year to Israel, nothing good would come of it.

However, a person habitually leaves uncompleted projects and moves on to the next. Day after day, we wake up every morning with new hopes; generations pass, and the struggle for money and power continues.

This routine will end when we truly begin to fight with each other. This has already happened in our history; the fraternal strife is worse than today’s conflict with our neighbors in the area.

In this era, people aren’t able to realize the new ideas themselves, as something new; we must give it to them because it is not inherent in human nature. In part, they realize that good “familial” relationships in society can improve their lives. But they lack the real approach to achieve this.

So we must create new educational systems, open courses, and create educational frameworks that explain to a person what true unity is.

For millions of years evolution was driven by only one, negative egoistic force; Successful is because of stronger muscles or through intellect and emotion. However, now it is necessary to stand against this and draw the other force on which true unity is based. This force is concealed in nature itself but it is truly concealed, hiding from us. It is concealed, and so the wisdom of Kabbalah, which explains how to work with it, is also called a “secret science.”

It speaks about the positive force of unity, about the “plus” that balances the “minus.” And we can pull out this positive force with the help of a special unity through a technology, which is described in the wisdom of Kabbalah. The time has come to do this and begin to arrange for good connections between us. It is not necessary to eliminate the negative ego; it is only necessary to balance it. And so, through the balance of the two forces, we live between them so that we use the two “poles” correctly.

And so, if until now all of our theoretical programs and views, everything that we have done in politics and in the economy, has been based on only one force, now we need to activate the second force. And this will make it possible for us to understand how by integrating them correctly we can design a new society. No wars or revolutions; on the contrary, it will be a smooth transition from the state of “one line,” “standing on one leg,” to normal advancement “on two legs.” All of this is described in the wisdom of Kabbalah. And so it is being revealed in our day. The situation has been created today because we really need it.
