Chief of Happiness: A CEO in 5-10 Years

583.01Comment: In 5 to 10 years, CEOs will have to focus on issues of happiness. The positions they will be hired for will have various names, such as “Dream Manager” or, conversely, “Destruction Manager.”

But the essence remains the same: a person who must constantly drive the company toward change, and in doing so, dismantle the established order.

My Response: We need to work proactively.

The thing is, a person must feel happy, or their work will yield little benefit. That is why we need to ensure that they feel happiness, fulfillment, and connection with others, because happiness depends entirely on the atmosphere they exist in.

They must feel they are in an environment of kindness and mutual support where they can completely rely on their company and team.

This is perhaps the most important thing. To achieve this, we must work with the team. We need to create a communal, positive dependency within the workplace where people feel support and inspiration from their colleagues, where they feel proud and understand the happiness they gain from being part of this team, where their spouses, children, or other family members also understand and approve of this. It means a great deal.

I believe that if we fail to create such an environment in the future, employees will not stay. Their productivity will drop, and they will become indifferent to the company’s fate. Ultimately, you will not be able to “buy” them, not even with money.

What matters is not just money, but the atmosphere of joy, happiness, flexibility, and mutual help they feel. This requires education, a completely different approach, and a new organization of production and hierarchy, nothing like what existed in the past.

A person is an individual being, and they must feel both unique and entirely supported by the collective when needed.

In relationships among people, everyone must be equal. These are relationships between individuals, not between citizens or employees.

But the most important thing is for people to have a shared, grand goal—why they are doing this and what they are achieving through it.

We need to gradually help a person feel that this methodology brings them to an absolute state—absolute happiness and a sense of something vast, eternal, and perfect. This allows them to see a completely different world and to shape themselves, their children, and their families in an entirely new way.

This must be done gradually. And then they will realize that it is not just the company playing nice to extract more productivity from them, but an effort to transform them into a master of life, to help them feel the integrity of existence.

Question: What should a CEO, who is a professional dreamer, be it a “Dream Manager” or a “Destruction Manager,” aspire to in their dreams? What should they want to destroy and what to build?

Answer: One cannot exist without the other. They must first present a dream, a direction, and explain what they aim to achieve so that everyone begins to connect with this dream and embrace it as a truly desirable state. Then after having deeply understood its necessity, they would be ready to destroy the present for the sake of a bright future.

Trust or Verify: How to Trust Others

272Comment: Currently, society faces a growing trust crisis in the media, the government, and among individuals. We see a lack of understanding of what trust is and how to nurture it.

My Response: This happens because our egoism has grown and demands entirely new relationships: clearer, more connected, rougher, and tied to each other. Each of us has significant egoism, and everyone desires greater independence from others. That is the first reason.

Secondly, this coincides with societal, technological, and lifestyle development. Today I can live independently and provide for myself without worrying about others. But to bind oneself through family ties, friendships, workplace relationships, or otherwise, requires effort, sometimes considerable effort.
Thus, in today’s world it is challenging to compel people to connect with others. They only do so for tangible rewards or when absolutely necessary.

Question: What is trust?

Answer: Trust is when I rely on another person according to an agreement that we have mutually established.

Question: What underlies trust?

Answer: Trust is based on the hope for another’s perspective, assistance, or support.

Question: Can you depict an ideal state where trust exists?

Answer: This is only possible when people realize that they are part of an interconnected system and fully interdependent. They need to uncover this complete interconnection. Only then can we discuss a society where individuals feel unity, exchange efforts, and work and care for one another.

Right now, this does not exist. Even our systems—healthcare, finance, everything we have built—serve to divide society.

Comment: Decades ago for example, in the Soviet Union, there was a certain level of trust—people could leave a key under the doormat, and not lock the door when they were at home.

My Response: It is not about whether the door to an apartment is open or closed. The point is that people are closed off from one another by their internal door: “I do not want to hear what is happening to another person. It does not matter to me at all.”

But we acknowledge that without a universal, correct approach to our nature—aimed at its correction—we will not progress. Superficial fixes will not help.

Question: How do we achieve this?

Answer: We must recognize that egoism is at the core of our nature and learn to work with it so it becomes a helper rather than a hindrance. This is a long-term upbringing of society.

Question: Is it possible to restore trust between one person and another, independently of the macro-world?

Answer: No, that is impossible. Everything is one system. We have reached a stage where the world is integral, and in an integral system the particular and the general are equal. Therefore we will not be able to fix relationships even between two people, even between a guy and a girl who want to build their relationship on some level of trust. No, they are part of society and will relate to each other in the same way as it happens in society.

That is why everything is falling apart on all levels simultaneously.

Question: What will be the turning point? What will trigger some other process?

Answer: The turning point will come with the recognition of evil. To achieve this, widespread dissemination and explanations are needed to make people aware that we are leading ourselves to the brink.

Question: What is the formula for trust?

Answer: Trust is the realization and sensation of inner connection among us. Its manifestation at every moment and in every state is what defines trust. Otherwise, it does not exist.

Trust is a profound force, the foundation of any state or society. It bonds all members into a single system where they need nothing more than the sense of being part of one network, entirely dependent on one another. That is where the concept of “trust” originates.

Question: What about confidence?

Answer: Confidence stems from a sense of connectedness among us.

Question: Is it akin to faith in another person?

Answer: Faith is a property of bestowal, which also arises from my sense that we are interconnected.

Trust is when I use the system of connection between us, which exists and reveals itself to me. To the extent that it is revealed, I am in mutual connection with others. This is trust. It is not something that does not exist, which I supposedly create. This is completely incorrect. I make use of purely psychological and physical elements for this.

Comment: Suppose one person says to another, “I do not feel like you are doing anything, so I cannot trust you.”

My Response: Right. He does not feel it, but someone else does. We need to make it so that everyone feels that we are in one connection, one dependency, one network, and then, inevitably, we will treat each other differently.

I do not need to know what each of them feels! I only need to know that in this way, I depend on them, and they depend on me, and everything I do toward them comes back to me. This needs to be taught, shown, and explained, to open people’s eyes.

If we want to do something serious, this requires serious desires, serious foundations. People must understand that if they begin to delve into the meaning of life, into the origins of life, into the reasons for life, why a person exists, how he was created, and what drives him, then this is serious work on oneself.

The Key Secret of Useful Information

959Question: It is said that whoever controls information controls everything. But in recent years, with the advent of new technologies, information has not only become abundant; it has become excessively abundant! Managing it has become incredibly difficult. Psychologists argue that people are now experiencing information stress.

What is information? Why do we crave it so much? And why, even understanding that it’s “garbage,” are we afraid to lose it?

Answer: We feed on this “garbage,” these “wastes.” For us, losing this “waste” means losing our nourishment. And humanity is terrified of that.

It cannot absorb proper, truthful, natural information, information that speaks of relevance, necessity, or truth. It thrives on yellow, gray news, on airing “dirty laundry.” This is what sustains it.

This is how modern society has raised humanity up. And we can see the consequences. Of course, if you remove all this fake content and leave only the truth, people would howl. What would they consume then?

Question: Why is humanity so drawn to information? What is it looking for in information?

Answer: Modern humans cannot live without it. It is the environment in which they exist. Taking it away would be like separating them from home, family, work, or anything else. But separating them from information would be even more devastating because it fills them from within.

Without a flow of information, a modern person would simply lose their mind.

Question: What is “correct” information?

Answer: Correct information is that which reveals my role in this world to the extent that I can bring positive influence to it and, in turn, receive positive influence from the world.

Question: You say that correct, truthful, and genuine information would be completely unpalatable, undesirable?

Answer: People don’t want to hear the truth! Truth is painful. Truth is unpleasant. They want to hear what pleases them: a bit of gossip, a bit of sex, a bit of fear, a bit of joy, all in measured doses, carefully controlled by specialists.

Question: What does information mean to a Kabbalist?

Answer: For a Kabbalist, information means something entirely different. They are not interested in what people argue about via cables or other communication methods. They are interested in a connection with the upper force, from which all actions, conditions, and events in our world originate. When a person has this connection, they need nothing else. It allows them to be everywhere and in everything simultaneously, in both worlds.

Question: Suppose you were given control of all media outlets. How would you present information,  what kind?

Answer: I would leave everything as it is now and gradually, in small, controlled doses, introduce “medicine”—more correct information. Information that supports positive changes in a person, develops a sense of truth, self-control, and so on. This way, people would begin to adapt correctly to their surroundings, understand their nature, the nature of the world around them, and their ultimate purpose.

We, Kabbalists, are waiting for humanity to reach the revelation of evil—the revelation that it exists in evil, in lies, that it feeds on substitutes. To the extent that we realize this is all trash, literal poison, we will gradually be able to replace fake information with correct information that nurtures us.

Why do I need information? To form my understanding of the world and transform myself in alignment with a new world. This information should be correct, truthful, and, most importantly, caring.

The Consequences of War: Less Hunting, More Wolves

767.4Question: In one country, researchers have observed that due to military actions, hunting and shooting of predators and other animals have decreased, leading to an active growth of nature. Predatory animals have started to turn rabid and attack humans, making people afraid to go outside or let their children out.

This creates a paradox: on one hand people are at war with each other, and on the other hand they neglect their relationship with nature, which begins to turn against them. What is the connection between people themselves, between humans and nature, and nature in relation to humans?

Answer: Human relationships define all other levels of existence: inanimate nature, plants, animals, and societal structures. And the most important is the relationship in highly developed countries because they determine all other relationships in other secondary, third countries, and so on.

If we first establish harmony in our relationships with one another, we will naturally bring balance to all other systems of nature.

However, if we fail to harmonize our relationships, the rest of nature will continue to spiral out of control, away from balance. This will lead to mutations and problems we cannot yet foresee. If we become slightly more beastly in our behavior, animals will become exponentially wilder, so wild that we cannot even imagine.

We could reach a point where we suddenly find dinosaurs appearing somewhere on Earth. Why? Because we regress to a level of interpersonal relationships that existed when such creatures roamed. This does not require any special geological period to occur.

Question: Will savagery truly increase to such an extent?

Answer: The savagery could become so extreme that humanity might resurrect the most fearsome layers of nature. Nature would come to hate us because we hate one another.

Kabbalah teaches that only through improving our relationships with other people can we fix, balance, and bring all of this into a better state.

Comment: You just gave an example that feels as if we could travel back in time.

My Response: Of course!

Question: How can we travel into the future?

Answer: To do that, we must develop correctly. Nature will not allow us into the future as we are today.

We can regress into the past through our primitive degradation, but to reach the future, we must progress by properly developing ourselves in our connections with each other. This is what the fully interconnected, integral, harmonious nature demands of us.

We must become elements aligned with it, and only then will we be able to travel into the future. We could simply sit in a little “cart” and move forward.

Question: How do we find this “cart”? How do we activate the program that will help a person discover and desire it?

Answer: This program is within us. But to activate it, we must first work for a long time to convince the Jewish nation to want it because the rest of the world depends on them. Then we must explain this to all the nations of the world so that they will compel the Jewish people to act.

The World Is a Reflection of the Spiritual System

933Question: When egoism manifests between us, we can hold a seminar and rise above the situation. But if we do not take any action, will it lead to any devastating events in the world?

Answer: The entire world is a reflection of the inner spiritual system, which is its central part and influences the state of the entire world, especially when this inner part already is beginning to determine the general state of the world, as it happens in our time, in our generation.

Our generation is called the “last generation” because a certain group of people has emerged in the world that can begin to correct it through themselves.

Moreover, the world does not need to resemble us. Our aspirations toward unity will bring about its unification, and the world does not need to understand how this happens. It will happen unconsciously in it.

We are consciously working on our unity, on becoming similar to the Creator, and humanity will follow this just as the body follows the head and carries out its instructions.

Therefore we do not have to think about what form the world will take; it all depends entirely on what form we will take. And those who feel a connection with us will join us. Therefore the most important thing is our unity.

What Do We Need to Convey to the World?

254.01In our time, spreading Kabbalistic knowledge has become the greatest and most important condition. The Creator is waiting for the correction of the entire Kli, absolutely all of it.

And only to the extent that you strive to give to others, to draw others closer, can you say that you are working for bestowal. All your other actions, aside from dissemination, are still egoistic, no matter how you look at it.

We engage in dissemination solely to tell people that they must unite.

For the people, unity means a better, safer, more pleasant life. But for us, unity means bringing the shattered parts of the common Kli closer to the Creator. To the extent of mechanical unity, the upper light impacts them and thus helps them unite even more.

For the people, this does not matter. What matters to them is that it guarantees their good future. That is what we need to convey to the world. Today, the world desperately needs unity! The global world is completely divided and fractured. It is a terrible state!

I will tell you only one thing: you are currently underestimating this, but the descents, ascents, and the time each of them takes all depend only on the intensity of our outreach to the public, the masses.

Who Will Wake Humanity Up?

222We live in a transitional period, from a state of hibernation of humanity to the aspiration to the Creator, that is, to the revelation of the meaning of life.

The revelation of the meaning of life is also just a transitional process where we must rise to the next new state. The transition begins when we start questioning what the meaning of life is: “Why do we need all this? For what?”

The nature of our life, no matter how hard we try, and we really do try very hard, shows us that it is useless and meaningless. As a result, people get detached from the surrounding world; people replace their pleasures with drugs, the most universal means of calming oneself and turning oneself into a plant. After all, this is better than suffering: switch off and that is it.

But since the plan of nature surrounds us and embraces us on all sides, we are inside the system, and escaping from life by using drugs will not help us at all. That is why humanity is trying many ways to somehow calm itself down.

Look at what is happening in the world, what transformations are taking place everywhere, entire nations are moving from one place to another, Europe is filled with refugees.

And this is not the same migration that happened a thousand years ago when the peoples of Asia began to move to Europe. Now this is a very serious process, a process of intermixing; people still must answer the question about the sense of life and admit that there is no meaning to existence at our level.

What can we do? We need to reveal Kabbalah and explain to them that there is a meaning to life; it is in the transition of a person to the next level. Man, “Adam” in Hebrew, is from the word “domeh,” which means “like the Creator.”

They must know that there is a method that is specifically created for us; our progress and development should raise us to the next level. After all, the next level must manifest in us, if not in this lifetime, then in the next. Our next life cycles will still force us to reach the level of similarity to the Creator.

World on the Threshold of Awareness

229But the lower ones cannot receive the illumination of the left before it is clothed in Hassadim from the right line.

This is why Esau was weary and said, “Behold, I am at the point to die; and what profit shall the birthright do to me?” (Rashbi, Zohar for All, Vol. 3,  About the Revival of the Dead“)

After all, he wanted to receive the light of Hochma in his egoistic desires, his receiving Kelim, and he is not able to do this.

It is like our whole life. We want to enjoy life; we chase after all the pleasures and want to receive them, but as soon as I am about to achieve some pleasure, it immediately disappears. And so it has been my entire life.

That is why Esau was weary and said: “I cannot continue like this any longer. I am tired. I have despaired of all this. I am ready to unite with Jacob.”

Today all of humanity stands on the threshold of such awareness. And that is why the wisdom of Kabbalah is revealed—the method of Jacob. After all, this is the science of how to build a middle line.

Before such despair came, there was no need for the wisdom of Kabbalah. The need for it has appeared now. After all, the Torah is revealed from the middle line, the correction of egoism.

How to Avoiding Execution as a King

294.2Question: I read an article that says the Italian thinker, writer, philosopher, and politician of the 15th century Machiavelli wrote:

If you are chosen as king, and the crown turns out to be big, then first it will fall on your eyes… And you will not see anything!

Then it will fall on your ears… And you won’t hear anything!

Then it will slide down to your lips… And you won’t be able to say anything!

In the end, it will fall on your neck… And it will become your collar, by which your own slaves will lead you to execution!

And you will see everything, you will hear everything, and you will be able to say everything…

But no one will listen to you anymore and you will have nothing to say!

Please tell us: The crown symbolizes power; what does it mean when it stays on your head and does not fall?

Answer: When it is on your head, it means it crowns you, that you are the king. It is the symbol of the head of the state.

Question: So you are the first person in the state. You are a parent, and so on. What does it mean when the crown gradually falls off, that it is too big? What is it regarding a leader? What happens to the authorities when they do not hear?

Answer: The leader sees nothing.

Question: Doesn’t he see anyway?

Answer: Look at these leaders.

Question: Can you tell us why this is so?

Answer: Power! It is all about the power.

Question: So when you treat it like, “It is all about me, this is my power”—is that the end?

Answer: That is the end. You are being gradually shut out from the whole world.

Question: So it turns out if the crown on my head does not fall, then do I not say: “I am the power, I am the king”?

Answer: The king must learn from everyone, he must understand that all wisdom is, in fact, among the people, among the masses. And those he selects and brings near him are not his close ones.

Question: So I won’t be able to learn anything from politicians or my close associates?

Answer: Correct.

Question: The quote says the crown goes through all the states, falls on the throat, becomes a collar, and you are led by your slaves to execution. And now you see everything, you can say everything, but no one hears you. What does it mean that slaves are taking you to execution?

Answer: That you stopped being an authority to them. Conversely, they see their future in your destruction.

Comment: That is, all these revolutions, coups, and so on is when the crown fell on the throat, and the slaves would lead one to execution. But this has happened in our history all along.

My Response: Sure.

Question: And slaves are the ones who always lead them to execution. Why is this happening? Do we never learn?

Answer: No, a person who reaches power stops hearing and listening, and is no longer capable of anything.

Question: How do you see the future politician keeping this crown?

Answer: I see a future politician surrounded by the smartest people! They are chosen as advisers only because of their special abilities. The king is elected by them and thus exists for the good of the country.

Question: Should there be fear, an awe in him: “If I …”?

Answer: There must be responsibility. He should constantly be in touch with them, constantly working with them.

Question: And when his “I” suddenly wakes up in him: “I am the leader, I am the king”? What should he do about it?

Answer: It is necessary to convince him that he must kill his “I” all the time.

Comment: You once said the leader of a state, say, a king, a tsar, should be a father to his people.

My Response: Yes.

Question: When you say this, what do you mean by it, other than what we understand?

Answer: He must care.

Question: Is that the main thing?

Answer: Yes, caring about everyone.

Question: Is such a level of empathy possible?

Answer: In general, yes.

Question: Do you see such leaders arising in the future?

Answer: I do not know. We are already on a different path. So that…perhaps through some obstacles…

Comment: Thorns.

My Response: Yes, we will break through.

Question: Will we break through?

Answer: We will.

The Main Reason for Divorces

963.4Question: I read a story about a Korean woman who was flying from Seoul to California with her four-month-old baby. Before the flight, she handed out 200 small bags to all the passengers.

In the bags were earplugs, sweets, and a note: “Hello, I am Joon Woo, I am four months old, and I am flying to America with my mom and grandma. This is my first flight, and I might cry. My mom prepared candies and earplugs for you. Please use them if it gets too noisy because of me. Please do not be upset with me. Sorry, and thank you.”

As a result, this boy, Joon Woo, behaved wonderfully and slept for all 10 hours.

What do you think of the mother’s attitude, the Korean woman’s, toward others?

Answer: This is certainly commendable.

Question: Please tell me, what plays a bigger role here: a national trait or upbringing?

Answer: I think it is more of a national trait. I don’t know them well enough, but it seems to me that they have this characteristic—not to disturb others.

Question: Can this be nurtured in a person, and should it be?

Answer: It can be nurtured, and it should be. But who will take on this task?

Question: So, here you have this question here: “But who are the judges?” Meaning, “Who are the teachers?”

Answer: Yes.

Question: So the teachers must fully embody this quality in order to nurture it.

Why is it that some people are uncomfortable disturbing others while others say the opposite: “Why are you bothering me?” Why does this happen?

Answer: It depends on upbringing. It depends on how much each of us is willing to look at the world through different eyes.

Question: Through the eyes of not wanting to disturb others. Am I instead always looking through the eyes of being disturbed?

Answer: Of course.

Question: Is this how most of the world is? “I’m being disturbed.”

Answer: The natural world is the one that looks from its egoism.

Question: If we consider the cause of divorces using the example of this Korean woman, could we say that if we care about making others comfortable with us, there would be no divorce?

Answer: Yes.

Question: So what is the root cause of divorces?

Answer: Only that we do not understand each other.

Comment: That is, I feel uncomfortable with you, and I start to…

My Response: Yes. I cannot put myself in your shoes.

Question: If I may ask, what is the cause of wars, using the example of this Korean woman? If one country cares about making it comfortable for another country to live with it, there would be no wars. Such fantastic scenarios…

But in what case does a war occur?

Answer: When one side refuses to understand the other side.

Question: Will this ever end? Can we be educated like this Korean woman and gradually…

Answer: I hope so. But this requires very serious investments in people.

Question: In education? Do you mean purely financial or spiritual investments as well?

Answer: Serious investments of effort and money. Of everything possible.

Question: Will anyone ever decide to do this?

Answer: I think so, because eventually there will be no other choice. It seems to me that we are currently in a transitional state where this might happen. People need to be given such an education that they will feel the need to change themselves.

Question: Tell me, will this happen? You say that we might be approaching this. Will it happen because of pain, suffering, or through understanding, from some light ahead?

Answer: Through pain and suffering.

Comment: You still believe that…

My Response: I believe… I am a materialist.

Question: A materialist. So through blows, essentially?

Answer: Yes, only through blows!
