Comment: I have always viewed the world through reason and logic. But today, during the gathering of friends, I began to feel many things through emotions, and I thought I was going crazy. On the one hand I want to hold on to this feeling that I experienced at the convention, but on the other hand, I am afraid of what might happen next.

My Response: While listening to you, I was reminded of myself. I also used to perceive the world only through laws. I am still like that, that is how I was made. I need to see the system, its laws, how it is laid out clearly, where the input is, where the output is, the formula by which it operates, the interferences, their regulation, etc. That is my nature.

When I began studying Kabbalah I was also focused only on the system. Before coming to RABASH, I had been studying Kabbalah for four years already, studying the structure of creation: worlds, Partzufim, Sefirot, clear laws!

Anything that had to do with feelings, I pushed aside. I could not even open those books. They seemed to me like fiction, sentimental outpourings, some kind of sugary fluff. I could not take it! I could not compare them, even though it was written that this is a science. I could not understand how one related to the other.

I remember having deep internal struggles. But I simply set them aside as if they did not exist. Like we usually say, “I do not believe it.” That is it, I will deal only with what I can grasp.

But when I started studying with RABASH, I saw how it all came together in him. We seriously studied the system: I would ask, and he would answer everything clearly, mathematically, with iron logic, because we were studying the physics of two forces.

Basically, what is there? There are two forces that interact with each other according to exact laws. As it is said, it is a system of forces that descends from above downward, according to precise laws, with the goal of revealing the Creator to a person in this world. In other words, it is a system. That is all.

There is some kind of skeleton, mechanics, and forces acting through this mechanism on a person so that through this system he can understand the force that operates within it. This was very clear to me and aligned with my natural inner structure. My profession matched this as well. I deliberately chose it because I was drawn to a systematic view of the world.

But after studying with RABASH when I suddenly felt that he was speaking about feelings, I could not understand what they had to do with anything. Revelation is in reason! And he says: “Revelation is in feelings.” I looked at him devotedly, like a dog at its master, but I did not understand what he wanted from me. He spoke, and I nodded. He would ask, “Do you understand?” And I would say, “Yes.”

This went on for a long time. I did not understand what was being asked of me! What feelings?! Charts, diagrams, schematics… I would ask, and he would answer. But what do feelings have to do with this?! I did not have any.

Only later, after two or even three years, when it began to dawn on me that matter is desire, came the realization that it goes through feelings. That, I could not grasp. What does it mean, “matter is desire”? Matter? Yes. Does it work? Yes. Desire? That is plus and minus. But where is it in me? I could not connect what was written with myself, with my own feelings.

Then I started to understand that, indeed, it cannot be connected with my feelings because I am an animal. But what is being spoken about here are other kinds of feelings, on a higher level. It was about the feelings of bestowal and reception, which do not exist within me or for me, but are isolated from me by the first restriction (Tzimtzum Aleph) and operate outside of me. There, bestowal and reception are not within me, but in the other.

Meaning, I have to isolate myself and start to constantly think about the other, in him is reception, in him is bestowal, and about how my system interacts with his system. Suddenly it started to come together for me like a normal part of the system because I detached from the perception that the world is within me. Now, “the world in me” means the feeling of myself outside myself, in others.

Then it became easier for me, because these were not the same corporeal emotions I constantly got confused in. This is an entirely different method, a different system of relationships. It is detached from me. I place a barrier and start building it outside myself, under the control of reason, under the control of feeling. These feelings do not come from my heart, but from the intention to exit myself and feel myself in another.

When this picture came together for me, I began to understand what Kabbalah is talking about. I remember how difficult it was for me because I think I was more insensitive than you. But on the other hand it was such a joy, such a powerful revelation. It is amazing that such a coarse, lowly, and egoistic person like me was constantly being pushed toward this work.

That is why the most important thing is to understand that Kabbalah speaks of “outside of me,” “outside of my skin.” I used to imagine it all differently, like taking an apple and peeling off the skin. In the same way, I thought I had to peel my own skin, and then I would feel the world.

But it turns out it is not like that. You have to exit and feel everything outside yourself, only in others; that is where you exist. Your body remains an animal; it exists as an animal. You only deal with living in others, that is where your feelings, your mind, your Kli (vessel) are.

Question: Until a certain time, all congresses were related to the preparation period. And now the congresses mark a new period—a period of correction. Everyone feels something new is emerging. What is it and how can we make the most of this state?

Answer: The world does not yet understand that it is at a completely new stage of development that is marked by qualitative changes.

The period of the previous egoistic development of the world has ended. The old paradigm is over; the paradigm where the more power, money, and knowledge means that you have more confidence in the future, more power, wealth, and everything else.

All these selfish accumulations, values, power, and achievements mean nothing in the new world because strength and success are defined differently in it. They are determined by the measure of correct interaction between the parts of creation, between all parts of nature.

We are already seeing this in ecology, in society, and between countries—everywhere. That is, one who knows how to interact with everyone correctly will survive and succeed. This is a law of global nature, and we have now entered this new phase.

For example, a child up to a certain age, say up to three or four years old, does not feel other children. They only present an opportunity to take something away from them, that is all. He does not understand the possibility of communicating with them.

But starting from the age of four or five, he makes friends. He plays with them, wants to get closer to his friends, and do something together. He is slowly moving away from nannies and gets closer to his friends.

From that point on, friends take on a very important place in the children’s environment. Then leaders are formed, all kinds of divisions into groups, subgroups, and so on. That is, a person is already becoming social.

Such a transition from individual, egoistic development to social development, which begins at the turn of four or five years of age, is taking place in humanity today.

Now everything will be determined by correct interactions, not by forming alliances as in: “I am against you in an alliance with the rest because I am tougher than you.” No! Namely, the correct, harmonious relationship between the parts of creation in accordance with the general law of nature. That is, we must conform to nature.

And this harmony will force us to become more and more environmentally correct, to fit into the whole picture of nature. Such a holistic approach will be in high demand, otherwise we will not survive.

People will see that all problems—banking, social, political, family—all collapse precisely because we have to move to a new system of relationships.

This system completely contradicts our egoistic, animal approach to nature, to ourselves, and to others. Therefore we will need to transform ourselves, become social, and think that the benefit of society is my benefit, the health of society is my health, and the success of society is my success.

This is so hard! Even impossible! Therefore we will have to break ourselves even more.

First, we must realize this is the case and we cannot escape. We suddenly find ourselves in such a world. So what do we do with it? We must find some hidden forces in nature to help us be in correct communication with nature.

Finding these forces is today’s task of mankind. We do not see them clearly, closely, actually; therefore, we try to escape this very task, that is, “it is impossible to solve, so there is no problem, so we close our eyes.” It will not work! The ostrich policy will not work here because the whole development is moving in this direction.

Kabbalah offers its own method of solution. It does not insist it is correct, and does not impose any dictatorial ways. It only says what it has to offer: “Check me out. See for yourself. And if so, take it and implement it.” That is all.

We need to make people feel that unity has become second nature to us. After all, we are coming together and striving to create a common system of connections that should shape us into an entirely new humanity.

From this unity, new, clearer, and more stable connections between people should emerge, and within them, social relations should begin to form on an entirely new level.

Even new enterprises, educational systems, and media systems should arise from this network. The system of our interconnection, based on unity and absolute equality, should begin to generate systems of a new humanity founded precisely on the formula of complete interconnectedness and complete equality. Then we will become like the upper force, because no one will dominate another. In this, we will fully resemble the Creator.

The truth is that humanity has never had the opportunity to become equal. For centuries, many have strived for freedom, equality, and fraternity, understanding that this is the ideal.

But we could not solve this problem because we were not developed enough, and inside us, egoism was always boiling. A few idealists thought about it, while the rest tried to extract selfish gain from it.

Now this problem has become global. Every person, every family, feels it. Thus, we now have the opportunity to rethink and redefine everything, because today we can attract the upper force and with its help correct ourselves.

In other words, our congresses will become centers, and in between them, we will build an ever-widening community of people who will be able to grasp the new idea—a completely new paradigm, a completely new foundation, upon which all human institutions must be rebuilt. This includes industry, economy, banking, human relationships, family ties, relationships between children and parents, and education.

Everything we have done on this Earth must be rebuilt in accordance with a global system of governance. Then we will truly become fortunate and happy.

I believe that our congresses will begin to carry this idea into humanity, and people will realize that it is essentially a source of new understanding and knowledge through which we can build a better life for ourselves.

Comment: You say that we have entered a period where the process of correction is already taking place. But to us, it is not noticeable. We do not see anything except that everything is happening more intensively.

My Response: The process of exposing our egoistic nature is indeed happening, and it is becoming clear to everyone. Psychologists, sociologists, and politicians who think about these matters are starting to more or less realize that egoism, which is our very nature, is essentially what is destroying us.

People just think there is no cure for it, and so they throw up their hands and continue living as before: “What can be done? That is just how we are. We will keep devouring each other.”

That is why we need to develop the wisdom of Kabbalah to show people that it is not so. The process has begun, but it must be taken under conscious control and directed toward the goal by ourselves so that nature does not drive us toward happiness “with a stick.” Of course we do not yet see the egoism corrected, but we already see the recognition of egoism as evil. And that is the preliminary stage.

Already several million people around the world are able to hear that the egoism is meant to be corrected so that precisely through it, we ascend to the level of the Creator. If we make an effort to disseminate this knowledge, then by uniting among us, we will break through humanity’s disbelief, emptiness, and laziness, and give people the opportunity to understand that perfection and eternity are attainable, and that we are standing at the threshold of a very serious, elevated process.

We are not beings without a rudder or sails, without a clan or a tribe. We exist within the highest process of nature, within the Creator, who leads us from one end of creation to the other. We are now at a very critical, culminating point from which we can begin to move consciously, revealing worlds before us and feeling ourselves as part of the universe.

I believe that our current state is special. That is what the Kabbalists write. We must try to make these days of humanity more intense, more revealing of the great goal that stands before humanity. It was created by nature, and we will reach it anyway, but now we have the opportunity to consciously and swiftly realize it ourselves.

Question: Do you speak about the correction process not only with regard to the group but to all of humanity?

Answer: To all of humanity. The group is separate. Regarding our international group, which includes hundreds of thousands of people around the world who hear and are already absorbing this, we can say only one thing: this group is already a real spiritual force in the world, not by human standards but by spiritual qualities. If we measure not by numbers but by spiritual qualities, we are the greatest force in the world.

We must respect our community and understand what an opportunity we have to accelerate humanity’s development, to make it pleasant, easy, and inspiring, instead of allowing it to continue in division, anxiety, and fear of world war or ecological disaster.

Question: You have mentioned repeatedly that the period of correction has now begun, prior to it was a period of preparation. What does the period of correction mean, and why was the previous time not considered correction?

Answer: It is because it was necessary to prepare egoism so that it would fully realize its own worthlessness, transience, hopelessness, emptiness, and its inability to be fulfilled or to lead a person to anything good or positive.

Ultimately egoism had to be prepared to understand that it exists solely for its own transformation, not to be destroyed by any means, but to be transformed into bestowal and love.

And so until this egoistic quality completely discredits itself in all necessary aspects, it is impossible to begin correcting it.

In our time, we have reached a state where we see clearly that the time has come, there is no way out. Either we face serious problems of ecological, military, and other forms of self-destruction, or we still have a chance to survive.

The force that is changing us today and turning all of humanity upside down—what is it? What is this little program?

The internal force in this program is the upper force of nature. It manifests specifically in the human being, and the human is the highest stage in nature’s development. It changes him; it is directed specifically at him.

The faster we come to the integral interaction of all parts of nature, the faster we come to understand that it represents an integral system of interaction, mutual support, and so on, and the faster we will come to a state of happiness, fulfillment, and eternity! Not to death, as it is today, but to eternity and perfection.

All of this will become visibly manifest between us. We will see it before our very eyes.

Question: If I were to open The Book of Zohar and no one told me it was important, I probably would not find anything in it, just a fairy tale. Imagine someone who has nothing to do with us opens this book. What does he find there? What does he read?

Answer: Nothing, but he will learn about this book from me. At the same time, he will have some recordings of our lessons. He will open the book, and along with watching or listening to our recorded lessons, he will study it and this will give him an entrance into the upper world.

Before that, he should read other literature, such as Rabash’s articles about the group, about the connection between people, and also Baal HaSulam’s articles, which shape his approach to The Book of Zohar. This is how he will come to The Book of Zohar itself.

I am sure that in the end people will engage specifically in this.

I think the next generation will finally come to the conclusion that a person does not need to work as much as now. Should he work just to exhaust our planet and produce completely unnecessary things?! He will produce only what is necessary for his existence and spend all the rest of his time studying, disseminating, and exchanging spiritual information.

People will gradually begin to feel that they exist in both worlds. I am sure this will happen, if not in the next generation, then in the one after. But it will definitely happen.

Comment: But you yourself live in the current state.

My Response: I do what I must in my time. I feel myself to be a link in the chain of Kabbalists. I have a clear mission. I think this is clearly visible in my life—what I devote myself to and what I fulfill. I have no questions or issues with this.

Question: Sometimes you say that people are ready to hear us, but we are not yet ready to properly convey the Kabbalistic information. Are people really ready to hear us?

Answer: No, they are not ready yet. If they were, they would hear. However, it is a dual problem: both on my side and theirs. I am not yet able to convey everything in the way that is most accessible and close to them, and they are not yet capable of grasping it with their inner qualities. So we both still need to move toward each other.

That is why I say that maybe I have a few years left in my life to make the Kabbalah method closer, clearer, and easier for everyone to understand. On the other hand, humanity is gradually approaching me because it is being pushed from behind by crises.

Of course I do not wish any misfortunes upon anyone, but I hope that blows will affect people, and they will come to the goal faster. I see these crises as a manifestation of the disease that is choking and oppressing us but is still hidden inside.

What did they do with the previous wave of crisis? They suppressed it, pushed it inward with “antibiotics” like they usually treat a disease. It seems like it is gone, but it is smoldering inside, everything is already rotting, but you do not feel it yet. And then suddenly, a person gets an X-ray, is opened up, and they say: That’s it, we are sewing you up—and off to the cemetery.

But I do not want things to get to this point. That is why it would be better if humanity gains awareness of the evil of its state at the same time as we provide the method. People will realize that they have nowhere to turn, that they must correct their state, and right there beside them there will be a method showing how to correct it and attain confidence, peace, and a normal life.

We at least speak to them about that, not even about the world to come. At least in this world, they can achieve a good life, for themselves and for their children in everything.

Our task is to bring humanity to this. That will be the first stage of correction, the first stage of accepting Kabbalah as a method of correction. This is my dream.

Question: I look at the world and there are already eight billion of us. And I assure you that very few people can say that they are the ones who need to be educated. No, I need to educate others, that is the go-to formula. They are the bad ones, the selfish ones, not me. It is because of them we suffer.

How will a person understand that he is the one who needs to be educated?

Answer: Only through blows. How else? If they think they are so good, why is the world so bad?

Comment: Others are bad, that is why the world is so bad.

My Response: If everyone thinks that way about others, does it mean the world is bad or good?

Comment: The world is bad.

My Response: Except for me?

Comment: Except for me; yes, that is what people think.

My Response: And we will keep believing this until something falls on our heads and there is nothing left to think.

Question: Can we say that by doing this we are summoning trouble upon ourselves?

Answer: Of course. Instead of correcting ourselves or trying to do something, we calm ourselves down.

Question: We say: “Others are bad, but I am good.” Am I calling trouble on myself?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Not examining myself? Is it bad?

Answer: Very bad! This leads the world to disaster.

Question: Is genuine education when I learn to examine myself?

Answer: Yes, when I look at myself, at what I am like. When I look at what I owe to others, at being the only one uncorrected. That is, everything that is in me: a liar, a thief, a deceiver, a hater—I do not know what other epithets to come up with here—it is all me.

But everyone else is not. All others do not exist at all. All others are my various reflections that I see around me. That is, I look at a lot of people around me, and each of them portrays me negatively in this form and that and that.

There are eight billion people in the world, and each of them represents some kind of negative quality of mine. Eight billion! That is how I am depicted into the world. And that is how I see it.

Question: So what do I do when I see evil, an evil person?

Answer: If I correct myself, I begin to see the world as more united, as striving for bestowal, love, and connection. Eventually I realize this is all one system, one person called “Adam,” and this Adam is me. Because that is how I put it together with my actions, behavior, thoughts, and all sorts of corrections.

Question: Do I absorb the world into me and become this one soul, as we say, Adam?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is this true?

Answer: It is true.

Question: And is what we see a lie?

Answer: No, we also see the truth, but it is a partial truth, torn apart by our inner egoism.

Question: Otherwise we do not pass it through our ego? Are we looking not through egoism?

Answer: Right. If I put them all together in one single image, then it is me.

Question: How can I focus on it like this?

Answer: This is our task—to gather the whole world and say, “This is me, and this world depends on me.”

Comment: Am I responsible for everyone and everything?

My Response: Absolutely everything is here.

Question: Every person?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Is the simplest, most ordinary person responsible for the world, for everything that happens in this terrible world?

Answer: To the extent that he finds himself in this world.

Question: Why does humanity keep inventing more and more?

Answer: It wants to achieve a serene, good life. But in the end, the opposite happens.

Comment: It is interesting that nuclear energy is used for peaceful purposes, and at the same time, it can sweep everything away.

My Response: Yes. Man cannot invent anything truly good or kind.

Question: What invention would you call eternal and useful for humanity that could ultimately lead it to happiness?

Answer: The correction of the evil nature of a man—only that. There is nothing else.

Comment: But man must first realize he is living with an evil nature.

My Response: That is what drives him to ultimately realize it. The world is in such a state that it does not know what to do with itself.

In the past, we thought that socialism, communism, capitalism, or something else would save us. Some kind of freedom, liberalism, and so on. Now we see that everything quickly leads to the realization of evil.

Comment: You once said that the development of humanity proceeded as  a linear development of egoism. That things would get better, and then communism would follow. Now you claim that egoism has sort of closed in, that we have become interconnected like one village, yet the same research continues, and humanity does not come to the realization of the evil of its nature.

My Response: Do you want them to shut it all down?

I think we will come to a state where humanity will say, “It would have been better had we not invented this.” Can this already be said about the atom today? And it will say the same about everything else.

It is written: “He who increases knowledge increases sorrow.” (Ecclesiastes 1:18) Or “He who increases wealth, increases suffering.”

Question: Do you think this proverb is still relevant today?

Answer: And how much more so!

Question: Can we stop increasing knowledge?

Answer: We cannot. We can stop increasing neither wealth nor knowledge. Egoism will constantly push us toward it.

The goal is to lead us to the realization of evil. That evil is in our nature when we believe that the world we live in is the one we need to improve. But it cannot be improved—we need to rise above it.

Question: That is, to change ourselves?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Will we come to this realization during our lifetime?

Answer: You are already setting limitations.

Comment: Yes, I would still like to see the righteousness of your words.

My Response: I do not believe it.

Question: You do not believe it?

Answer: No, I do not believe that it will happen so quickly.

But personally, it does not bother me. What difference does it make when it happens? In whatever state we will be, it will eventually happen to all of us.
