What Do We Cause with Our Flaws?

229Comment: For a long time you have been saying that difficult times will come and that humanity is merely postponing them.

My Response: It’s not me saying this, but The Book of Zohar. It states that all suffering comes into the world only to push people toward their complete correction.

Since we are approaching this point in time, but we still lag behind in essence; that is, we are not correcting ourselves, this delay in becoming what we are already supposed to be triggers forces that compel us to change. By speaking about this, I do not bring these forces into action. We ourselves evoke them by delaying our correction.

At the same time, I am in no way trying to defend myself. It must be understood that by disseminating Kabbalah, we are performing the most important action in the world; we are helping humanity understand what its happiness depends on and thereby mitigate or even possibly eliminate suffering altogether.

Moreover, suffering, as we see, can take many different forms. People will soon begin to feel increasingly small and powerless. For example, suppose a volcano erupts.

Suddenly, we, so mighty, so arrogant, will feel like helpless infants, as if we are nothing and no one. What will you be able to do? Nothing. This volcano will cover the entire earth. We can’t even comprehend its scale. Just one mountain erupts, a little cloud rises, and that’s it, Mother Earth is covered, and we are beneath this blanket.

We don’t realize what cataclysms in the world we are triggering with our flaws. Everything depends on this alone. Nature, or the Creator, which is the same thing will force us to recognize how powerless we are before Him, precisely through major global crises, and serious and unpredictable upheavals.
