The Book of Zohar is sacred and speaks in a completely unique language, an extraordinarily precise one. It allows us to grasp the entire global picture and then focus on a single specific detail that it wishes to reveal. It has the power to expand one’s vision to the maximum and then contract it down to a single point.
And when we read Kabbalistic texts, The Zohar or the writings of Baal HaSulam or Rabash, we must connect with our hearts to the one who is transmitting this knowledge to us.
For example, if we take The Introduction to The Book of Zohar by Baal HaSulam, we see that his intention with this introduction is to connect each of us to The Zohar for All, that is, to the book that should be the most sought-after among the entire nation of Israel. It is for this purpose that he wrote and disseminated this introduction.
When we begin to read such texts, we must distance ourselves from literal interpretations and strive to connect with the spiritual message that the Kabbalist wishes to convey to us. And after reading each passage, we must return to it and try to let these words enter our hearts, so that through them we can connect our hearts with the heart of its author Baal HaSulam.
The works of the Kabbalists are of immense importance to us, because they are messages passed down to us by our teachers. Through this message they wish to bind us with a thousand threads between us and with The Book of Zohar. In The Introduction to The Book of Zohar, we can find all the words and laws that will help us draw closer to the Creator and cleave to Him. These texts connect us to spirituality and eternity.
If a person aspires to connect with the spiritual source through The Book of Zohar, then each time they return to it they will discover how this text increasingly ties them to the spiritual in all its forms. And then they fully open their eyes and heart with the sole desire to ascend and cleave to the spiritual root of which The Zohar speaks.
And even when I am not reading The Book of Zohar, I want to live inside it. That is, I strive to be connected with my friends, with the group, and with my ten, and in this way I draw closer and closer to the Creator until I see that I have entered a certain gravitational zone where the Creator begins to pull me inward into this field.
To live inside The Book of Zohar means to strive to reveal what this book wants to tell me with each of its words and sentences. And then The Zohar draws me into a stream that carries me from the beginning of the book to its last word.

Comment: Scientists surveyed over 1,300 people aged 21 and above. Those who had a clear understanding of the meaning of life were happier and healthier than those still searching for it. In other words, those looking for the meaning of life aren’t well.
My Response: The main thing is to find your natural point in which you are already living. Or it might even be in development, but you are within it, and are not floundering without knowing where.
Comment: But you keep saying that searching for the meaning of life is good.
My Response: I am not saying that a person doesn’t understand the meaning of life. One should determine what that meaning is and pursue it. Moving toward the meaning of life, where you understand and know how and what, gives you immense satisfaction, delight, and tranquility, along with great dissatisfaction and internal imbalance.
Comment: Ups and downs.
My Response: Yes! But you derive immense pleasure from all of it. You enjoy the process. It is a “storm petrel.”
Question: And if you experience descent and despair and you wonder if you have chosen the right path?
Answer: But that is better than being an inanimate element. Work in an office and stay at home watching football? Or not? It depends on each person’s values.
Question: So you believe in the studies you have experienced and tested yourself?
Answer: First of all, I do not believe anyone in the world. Because there is no one to believe. We see what is happening in the world. Therefore I trust only myself, my experiments, my universities.
Question: And they say that you find the meaning of life after long searches, adhering to your teacher, and proceeding? Through ups and downs.
Answer: Only in this way.
Comment: I remember you saying that you had such descents that you could not even get out of bed.
My Response: That is natural. But that is the path of searching. You cannot escape it.
Question: And do you call that a happy path?
Answer: Absolutely! Of course! “Exultation in battle,” in the fall.
Question: What would you wish for people embarking on the path of searching for the meaning of life?
Answer: I wish people would enjoy the metamorphoses happening within them. Everything that occurs, everything that boils inside—that is life! Don’t grow old prematurely. Try not to, at least internally.
I cannot climb mountains; I cannot fight the waves of a raging sea. No. But all of that exists inside me, and all of that gives the feeling of life.
Question: So you mean that a person stays young regardless of one’s age?
Answer: Of course!

We must create ourselves into a people that will exist in the mutual property of love and complete connection with each other. In this way we will resemble, not the nature of our world, but the nature of the upper world, which will be able to pass through us and pour into our world.
Then all the nations of the world—and subsequently all of nature: animal, vegetative, and inanimate—will receive this upper vitalizing force.
Without it the world will simply wither away until it explodes and disappears. This is true according to the true, spiritual laws of nature. By spiritual, I mean based not on egoism, but on the quality of bestowal. This is what we must pass to the world. If we do not do it, the world will instinctively demand it of us.
We cannot continue to exist in our current form. This is a people unable even to think that it must change. As the saying goes, “a stiff-necked people,” so it is.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, awakens the Jews. The nations of the world yes, but the Jews no.
Herein, perhaps, lies a certain chance for salvation through the nations of the world in a good and swift way, maybe they will still compel the people of Israel to think about their mission.
Then this will be a serious point of our correct reckoning with the Creator. We have no one to rely on but only our connection with Him. And we will have to establish this connection correctly.

Question: How can one maintain a state of constant service to the Creator rather than in prayer?
Answer: We must try to remain merged with the Creator at all times despite any changes that seem good or bad to us; we need to perceive them all in one direction, with one purpose influencing us. Then we will understand Him more quickly.
Question: We have the concept of intention, which, as I see it, serves as a trigger in inner work. How does a person’s intention help him transition from a state of descent to ascent?
Answer: Intention means that a person who seeks to be closer to the Creator chooses from all their possibilities the one that would bring them nearer to Him.
Question: What work should we do throughout the day to maintain the inner connection with the ten?
Answer: Strengthen your connection with the Creator based on the connections and bonds that manifest between you.
Question: How can one speed up the process of emerging from a descent to reach the recognition of evil?
Answer: I can say only one thing: strive toward the point of connection between a person and the Creator from any state you go through. From any state! Because all these states are given to us by the Creator with only one purpose so that at this point He reveals in us, we discover Him.

I wish absolute mutual love for all of us. Nothing else is needed! Love. Just love each other. For no reason. Simply because we are all human beings.
Question: Is it possible to live as you just said?
Answer: Yes, it is possible.
Question: What should be done in order to simply love a person, people?
Answer: Understand that there is nothing greater in nature than this feeling, this relationship, and the whole of nature is built upon love. Everything that is hidden from us in nature, in the higher nature, is only love.
Question: Can we, if we all will desire, take and draw the force of nature?
Answer: Yes, nature is waiting just for this. Love is the highest, most powerful, most central feeling and force in nature.
Question: Is it possible to just transition from hatred to love? Right now I hate, I clearly hate. And then suddenly, bam, some time passes, let’s say a year, and we transition to love? Could this happen, or is it a fantasy?
Answer: We can do this. We are in such extreme states, opposite to this feeling, that we are able to do this.
Question: It is very strange. You said because we are in opposite states, we can do this.
Answer: Yes, because we see where we are heading to, where all our efforts, all our achievements disappear, everything falls out of our hands, and we are unable to accomplish anything. We are like blind, foolish puppies. That is how we live. It is horrible! I have no words!
But if we ask nature to change us, we will receive such a change of forces, feelings, and qualities that we don’t even expect, because the Creator is love.

Why Is Attachment to Connection a Condition for Crossing the Barrier?
Who knows? The Creator sets a condition, and when we fulfill it, the Creator takes us across the barrier. We do not gain anything by crossing the barrier. We have no tools, strength, or an entry ticket. Before the barrier, we fulfill a certain condition, and then we are taken across the barrier.
The condition is necessary because by observing it, we take something with us. As it is written, from Egypt they take tools, flee in the darkness, and they stand before Pharaoh. In other words, they take this impression. If we do not pass through Egypt, we cannot reach the Land of Israel. We can only reach Israel via Egypt.
It is not that the level where we are in Egypt increases and grows until it reaches a high enough level to allow entry into the Land of Israel. We pass through “the Red Sea,” a very special experience, which is truly a miracle. That is, we do nothing by our own strength. It is not our preparations that take us across.
