Connection As A Means Of Salvation

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn light of the growing global crisis, our main goal is to provide the world with the method of integral education. The Light that Reforms will take care of everything else and will direct the development so that people will not need anything else from us:”Just teach us on this path so  we will be able to fulfill the connection between ourselves.” Our momentum will continue to live in them, to”talk” to them, and they will find the means to fulfill  themselves, by feeling the general connection.

The whole world is approaching a new phase where nations are no longer able to provide for their citizens. Even if they wanted to, the governments will not be able to. Bankruptcies will be widespread, and budgets will have no money left for “social excesses.”

If we don’t change the economic trend and move from the current economy to a new economy, there will only be a gradual decline and a chain of collapses.

On the whole, everyone already agrees with this and sees that there is no turning back. Not one sector in society, in the nation, will be able to receive more from the state. On the contrary, the “pie” will only get smaller and smaller. Today even developed countries are coming to the conclusion that they need to raise taxes.

Ultimately in the face of impending recession there is only one solution:an integral system formed by the people, by the people. There is no other way.

Things will work out so that people will be ready internally for integral education, and they will create the derivatives themselves. The Light will provide them with a different mind and feeling from a different level where one system operates. Then they will lack nothing; on the contrary,  and they will feel prosperity and comfort; they will be satisfied with an ordinary standard of living and will enjoy it so much their happiness will soar to new heights.

The New Generation Chooses Nothing

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Huffington Post): “According to recent findings from the Pew Research Center, the number of young adults living at home, or ‘boomerang kids,’ is at an all-time record high. Many experts agree the economy, including rising debt from student loans and the high cost of living, is the driving force motivating these kids to live at home. But another interesting explanation is the generational mindset shift happening as well, as there is now less of a stigma for young adults to live at home with their parents. …

“We surveyed more than 2,000 adults and found that Americans disagree over how long is too long for college graduates to live with their parents. Millennials age 18-34 think it’s acceptable to live at home with their parents for as long as five years after college.”

“By 2020, already 60% of young people will be dependent on their parents, in 2030 – up to 80%. Dependency becomes normal. Many 30-year-old Americans live off their parents (pensions, interest on investments, savings, disability, etc.) and do not even feel sorry about it.

“Young people are educated, but can only live within their own families; they suffer from high self-esteem, which is strikingly combined with an inferiority complex; they will reject ‘unskilled labor,’ will find a way to get public assistance. Most parents care of their 30-year-old children and grandchildren, not finding dependency dangerous, and are glad to give place to adult children.” (Source: Russian Bazaar)

My Comment: Precisely this pampered generation can establish an integral society, receive an “allowance,” and reveal perfection in mutual connection.

“The Global Wealth Pyramid”

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Business Insider):Here’s a great little visualizer of how the world’s wealth is broken down among the ultra-super-rich, the super-rich, the rich, and everyone else.

“It’s from Credit Suisse and it shows how 32 million people, representing 0.7% of the world’s adult, population control $98.7 trillion or about 41% of the world’s wealth.

“On the base of the pyramid we see that 3.2 billion people, representing 68.7% of the world’s adult population, control just 3% of the world’s wealth, or about $7.3 trillion.”

My Comment: No comment—this is the world of today and it is rolling into the abyss.

The Golden Age Of Humanity

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from DailyMail): “Scientists have discovered that despite an overabundance of polyester flares and bouffant hair, 1978 was the year that the world’s quality of life peaked, after which it has gradually deteriorated ever since.

“Australian experts used a novel method to track the social and economic progress of the world, taking into account various economic, lifestyle-related and ecological factors to come to their conclusion.

“Until recently the standard method of measuring progress in a society was by assessing its Gross Domestic product (GDP) – basically a measure of all the money spent and earned in a given society.

“’GDP was never designed to measure social or economic welfare, and yet, today, it is the most commonly used indicator of a country’s overall performance,’ the study, led by Dr Ida Kuniszewski and Dr Robert Costanza of the University of Canberra’s Crawford School of Public Policy, said.

“So, for example, an oil spill would be interpreted as a boost to GDP because large sums of money would be spent to mount a clean-up operation. …

“They said that a more accurate measure of how a society is faring would need to take a variety of factors – including economy, the state of the environment, and society – into account

“One alternative measure – and the one they used – is called the Genuine Progress Indicator. (GPI). GPI starts by using the same figures as GDP, but uses 24 other factors including crime rates, pollution levels, loss of wetland, car accident rates and even the amount of people who volunteer and enjoy housework to give a country its rating.

“The study analysed data collected between 1950 and 2003 and followed 17 countries – equating to half the world’s population – to come to their conclusion.

“They found that on average, where GDP steadily increased without interruption, GDI peaked in 1978 and has tapered off ever since.

“Experts said the results show that social and environmental problems have cancelled out any monetary wealth the world has accrued. …

“The study concluded that in order to enjoy a ‘desirable and sustainable future we need to rapidly shift our policy away from maximising production and consumption (GDP) and towards improving a genuine human well-being (GPI) or similar.

“’This is a shift that will require far more attention to be paid to environmental protection, full employment, social equity, better product quality and durability.’”

My Comment: Again, the conclusion is correct. It is just not understood how to implement it. To correct society through correcting the human being himself , no one agrees with this. So, suffering awaits us again, which will force us to reconsider our attitude to the only means: the method of integral education and upbringing. Then, our golden age is yet to come!

The Suicide Of Egoism

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion (Geoff Mulgan, economist, author of The Locust and the Bee: Predators and Creators in Capitalism’s Future): “The economic crisis was a dramatic reminder that capitalism can both produce and destroy, but the crisis also presents an historic opportunity to choose a radically different future for capitalism, one that maximizes its creative power and minimizes its destructive force. …

“Capitalism at its best rewards the creators and makers who create valuable things for others, like imaginative technologies and good food, cars and drugs: the human equivalents of industrious bees. By harnessing their energy capitalism can make everyone better off, more than any other economic system in human history. But capitalism also rewards takers and predators, the people and firms who extract value from others without contributing much in return. Predation is part of the everyday life of capitalism, in sectors as mainstream as pharmaceuticals, software and oil, where people’s money, their data, their time, and their attention are routinely taken in fundamentally asymmetrical exchanges. …

“So what is to be done? The answers can’t be found in endless summits trying to wish the pre-2007 economy back into existence, or in yet more doses of stimulus or austerity. Instead we need to map out more of what the future economy will, could and should look like. … I also look at what needs to be happen in welfare and consumption, and radical options for the taxation of wealth that would help to reduce the chronic waste in consumption amongst the top 1%.”

My Comment: Nostalgia is the lot of the elderly who have no future, ideas, and understanding of how to live further. We need to change not the system, but the human being. Many are already thinking in this direction, although they cannot find the means of change. It is possible to change a person, but only by the influence from Above, by the force that is manifested in our correct unity. This is what the method of integral education teaches.

European Debts Are Growing

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from eurostat): “At the end of the first quarter of 2013, the government debt1 to GDP ratio2 in the euro area3 (EA17) stood at 92.2%, compared with 90.6% at the end of the fourth quarter of 2012. In the EU273 the ratio increased from 85.2% to 85.9%. Compared with the first quarter of 2012, the government debt to GDP ratio rose in both the euro area (from 88.2% to 92.2%) and the EU27 (from 83.3% to 85.9%).”

My Comment: This suggests that we have reached the end of and have left the capitalist economy and are floating, or rather, rushing to no one knows where. But since politicians and economists do not know our future state, they are carried in the same boat, or rather raft, with us … The only way out is to write off the debts not through the war, but through transition to the integral economy. But this is only possible to the extent of the preliminary re-education of people. Otherwise, it will happen as under the communist terror in Bolshevik Russia.

The Richest Have The Biggest Debt

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from tothetick): “Switzerland is the country that is the most in debt in the world with regard to per-capita debt. Each Swiss citizen is in debt to the tune of an average of 76, 200 euros. But, Switzerland is also the richest country in the world with regard to per-capita financial net assets with an average of 141, 890 euros per person at the end of 2012. …

“Switzerland is also ahead of the USA and Japan. So, does debt bring wealth or is it the other way round?”

My Comment: Today the world has debts and no one is concerned about debts; it’s clear that no one is going to pay the debts. And indeed, they cannot be. No one knows what will happen in the future.

Humanity will reach a state of complete chaos, and only the need to survive will force accepting the method of changing of human nature.

Children And The Elderly Slow Down Global Economic Growth

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from nakedcapitalism): “Over the past few years, I have written a series of articles arguing that the ageing of populations across the globe would have major adverse implications for consumption spending, asset values, and government revenues and taxation.

“I have also argued that the impacts from ageing would likely be most acute in Western Nations, although some developing countries, most notably China, would also be negatively affected.

“The problem stems primarily from the coming end of the demographic ‘sweet spot. ’That is, where there is a high proportion of working age people supporting only a small pool of dependents. Such an advantageous age structure has affected almost all of the world’s major economies and produced a population structure optimal to economic growth – that is, where the largest segments of the population were neither young nor old, but in the middle (i.e. working age). …

“The danger is not in the slower growth. Slow growth is not a bad thing. It’s still growth. The danger is in an expectations gap, in which we consider slower growth unacceptable….

“The high growth rates experienced in the decades leading-up to the global financial crisis were an anomaly and growth is likely to be far more sedate going forward as the population ages and dependency ratios worsen.”

My Comment: Growth will not happen; the world will nonetheless come to equilibrium when we produce exactly what is necessary not to enrich, but to provide everyone with the necessary goods and services and no more. Nature will destroy everything manufactured in excess of this by any means at its disposal: epidemics, natural disasters, wars. Indeed, the plan of nature is to bring all its parts, including humanity, in balance.

The Angle Of Incidence

Dr. Michael LaitmanOpinion (Michael Khazin, economist): “The word crisis is losing its original meaning. In fact, the crisis is a tangible change in the quality of life, a decent apartment, a car, clothing, home appliances – a middle-class standard.

“The problem is that the society of welfare of the middle class has encountered a problem called ‘massive credit.’ Today, the average citizen in developed countries spends 25% more than his real income. Equilibrium is achieved by the drop in the level of income of the middle class. Consumption should reach a new equilibrium point – when the mass consumer’s spending will fall by 50% from the current level, that is, will fall twice as much.

“The whole world that stands on the middle class awaits the painful disappearance of the middle class – that will be a real crisis.

“They will become the lumpen, and as a consequence, there will be increased drug abuse, falling birth rates, lowering of cultural level. So, the real crisis is not the economic but social problem.”

My Comment: When we now turn to the middle class, we are met with a complete misunderstanding and inattention to our ideas about the re-education of society and individuals. After all, they still do not feel any threat, and due to their shortsightedness, of course, they do not wish to take part in changing themselves and society.

But the blow will come, and we need to prepare for their readiness to get closer to us. In the meantime, we need to work with part of the lower-middle class, which already feels the crisis and despair.

“Global Trade Is Likely To Remain Sluggish For Many Years”

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn the News (from Zawya): “Global trade is likely to remain sluggish for many years, and emerging economies that have depended on exports to fuel their transformation will have to find new sources of growth, says a UN report.” (Source: inagist)

“’Developing and transition economies are likely to face sluggish import demand for their goods as a result of a protracted period of slow growth in developed countries,’ said The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in a report published September 12. ‘Thus, for policymakers in the former set of countries, reverting to the pre-crisis policy stance with its emphasis on export-oriented growth is not an option.’

“The report suggests that exports from developing and transition economies to developed economies before the global recession seemed to justify the adoption of an export-oriented growth model.

“But the expansion of the world economy, though favorable for many developing countries, was built on unsustainable global demand and financing patterns. Thus, reverting to pre-crisis growth strategies cannot be an option. Rather, in order to adjust to what now appears to be a structural shift in the world economy, many developing and transition economies are obliged to review their development strategies that have been overly dependent on exports for growth. …

“The way the crisis has affected global trade patterns also calls into question the future value of the export-oriented growth model that fuelled the emergence of China and other developing world champions over the past three decades.”

My Comment: Before us there is not a long-term decline, which is then replaced by a rise. It is necessary to find a solution to this progressive fall. But to find it, you first need to make the correct diagnosis, to discover the true cause of our deteriorating condition. Talking about the nature of the periods of crisis and repeating that the crisis is already passing is naive. They did not even want to admit it at all for many years, not until 2008. But this does not solve the problem itself.

It is proposed to create a permanent international unified forum that will accept all the explanations, sort, and publish them. Thus we will attract people’s attention to our common problem. This alone would be its partial solution, because it would unite people. Further, selecting the proposed solutions, addressing their respective authors, asking them to explain (with all this to be shown in the media, our TV, and website). And thus gradually we could select the options to work out the method of Integral Education (IE).
